i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third book in the House of Stars series. This is the second chance/ secret baby romance between Mike and Zinzy. Zinzy is a former show girl in Las Vegas and a choreographer for a new club. When Zinzy sees the new dancers, she starts to think back to the start of her career and wonders what could have been. Twenty years before, Zinzy was in love with Mike and when she became pregnant, she chose her career over having the baby and Mike left her. Zinzy never married and focused on dancing and tried to forget everything she lost. Now, while training for the new show, she sees Mike again. He is the father of one of the dancers and it brings up feelings Zinzy thought she was over. Mike is a very successful businessman who owns a casino and recently found out he has a daughter. Meghan contacted Mike after their DNA matched when she was looking for information about her birth parents. Mike never knew he had a daughter and when he sees Zinzy, he wonders what could have been. Mike and Zinzy talk and reconnect over dinner. Zinzy goes home with Mike, but there is too much hurt over the past. They both still care for one another, but they have to work through the hurt. I enjoyed this book. I thought it was emotional and there was so much hurt between them. I think they were too young to be together in the past and didn't know how to handle their dreams. good one.

ONE AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!
Reid did an absolutely beautiful job bringing out all of my emotions in this heartwarming and gut wretching read. With such remarkable and amazing talent displaying the rollercoaster of such overwhelming emotions brought out the best and the worst in situations like this one. I was hooked from start to finish. My full attention and focus on this page turning delight. I couldn't put it down had I even wanted to. The characters were realistic and complex. It's truly heartbreaking witnessing their story unfold with all the trials and tribulations. I really loved following the characters along as I witnessed their personalities bloom and blend together with such depth it brought this little jewel together beautifully. I felt like one of the characters following along. The scenes were so detailed and vivid it was easy to get lost in the whole adventure. Reid did an incredible job bringing this read to life. Fantastic job Reid, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
