I avoided reading this book for so long! It was one of the first books my mom bought me when I started reading when I was around 13, and i never really wanted to give it a try. It sounded boring, empty and I truly believed that if book is short, like this one is, nothing interesting can happen and story would most likely be insignificant.
Moving on, I’m almost 20 now, bored out of my mind trying to find anything to do to do avoid studying for my finals and i decided to finally give it a try after all these years. And it really is one of the best teen books I’ve read so far.
Characters are complex, backstories too, and I just love whole plot between Petar and Kaja, it got mw giggling and swinging my feet while reading. First 50 pages, absolute terror, i couldn’t get into the book at all, after that, I’ve read the rest in under an hour. Such a sweet and short story that really grew to my heart, I will definitely reread it and keep thinking about it.
