SECOND CHANCE SHIFTERS

I am not one to usually read wolf shifter novels, but something about this blurb intrigued me so I decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did because I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ariel Marie is also a new author to me and she did a great job writing this enchanting book.

The premise of Damara being in a plane crash and presumed dead by her family and Alpha/lover Gavin but taken in by another pack in California with amnesia was interesting. Calling herself Brianna and having the Alpha Drevan want to mate with her leads her after 5 years to search out her past.

I loved the connection between Gavin and Damara. He knew she was still alive, and hadn't mated or been with anyone else. I respected him for that. I only wish he had gone out searching for her and found her instead of her finding him. I also loved that even without her memory Damara's inner wolf recognized Gavin and she was able to know him and feel at home with him even without memories. Of course there was the conflict we knew was coming with Drevan wanting to take Damara back but we got our HEA.

This was a very entertaining book and I recommend it to those who like shifter books as well as those who don't usually read them. This book is fun.

3.5 Stars of Awwwww!

This is a sweet and sexy shifter romance (one of the first I’ve read featuring African-American protagonists) of the fated mates and amnesia variety. The premise is that 5 years ago, wolf shifter, Brianna, was found wandering in the wilderness in California and was taken in by a local wolf shifter pack. The alpha of that pack is pressuring her to mate with/marry him, but something in Brianna’s wolf won’t settle for that. She’s convinced that there’s someone out there waiting for her and she’s determined to find out who.

I really loved the relationship between Brianna/Damara and Gavin. I love that this was a very low angst, low stress, low conflict read. The little bit of conflict that existed was all external and though there are some potential triggers around kidnapping and the threat of sexual assault, that plot angle is resolved fairly quickly. Recommend this for an easy, breezy, low stress read.

This new shifter romance series is off to a great start with some intriguing twist and thrilling suspense. Brianna and Gavin are strong, compelling characters that grab readers’ attention and refuse to let go. Brianna has no memories of her past and the story starts off with at that point so that keeps the entire story on a suspenseful edge as she tries to discover her past. Gavin has held out hope that one day his mate would return to him which adds an inspirational edge to the story as well. The story is chock full of emotional angst that tugs at readers’ heartstrings and the chemistry between Gavin and Brianna sizzling with sparkling intensity so there is no denying the relationship.

The suspense builds throughout this fast paced story and keeps readers glued to the pages as first Brianna sets off to find out if she has family or a mate and then once she discovered where home is, she encounters the ruthlessness of the Alpha who took her in when she needed help. This adds danger and excitement to the story with some surprising twist keeping readers on their toes. Readers don’t want to put the book down once they begin reading this thrilling and emotionally gripping romance.

Brianna had been lucky to have been taken in by a foster family and their pack. The Alpha Dreven had been kind and considerate to her, but he wanted to mate with her, even though they had no true mate bond.

Five years she lived without her memories.

Five years, Gavin her fiancee had lived without her . Since they did not complete he mating ritual, he could only track where the plane carrying his Damara went down. He scented her blood, but no body was found, and she was missing and presumed dead. But his wolf was determined that she was alive out there somewhere.

As Brianna leaves to look for her family, Dreven makes her swear to him she will return if she is not mated or with family.

Only through faith and blood will Damara/Brianna be able to move on a live a life with her true Alpha.

Read on to find what destiny awaits her.

Steamy HEA shifter romance.

It's a lovely second chance romance between fated mates where one of them was presumed dead. It moves really fast and we get several revelations before the big showdown in the end.

I do think the story was a bit rushed and there were several scenes where there were continuity errors that made reading somewhat a struggle and I couldn't connect to all characters fully.

I really enjoyed listening and following along when I could. Ariel won’t disappoint with her creative worlds. It was captivating from the very beginning til the end. In this the story how to soulmates are reunited in circumstances that were unexpected for both main characters. Their attraction for one another and love will help overcome the trails they go through. I can honestly recommend this.

Fantastic 2nd Chance Shifter Romance & Narration🎧

Howl for Me
Golden Moon Shifters, Book 1
By: Ariel Marie
Narrated by: Sarah Puckett, Hollace Williams

I loved this book, Ariel Marie is a gifted author, I enjoyed her writing style and the interesting storylines she created, they are original and imaginative, they captivated me from start to end. The characters are complex and well developed, Brianna Wolfe, does not know who she is, she has not memories of her life before walking up in a hospital bed. A wonderful couple took her in, help her chose a name to use and since she is a wolf shifter they introduced her to Dreven Emerson, the Alpha of the local pack, the Prime Delta, who excepted into their community. She started to build a life for herself but her wolf could not rest easy, she knew she had family or maybe even a mate some where. Dreven wanted her to become his mate but she wanted to go on a search to find what her wolf was trying to tell her. Gavin recently became the Alpha of the Golden Moon Pack. He was heartbroken when Damara, his fated mate disappeared. Not believing she is dead he had not moved on, but as pack leader he had to find a mate. His mother gathering of surround packs hoping he would find a female he could mate with. When he hears a howl in the distance, a howl he has heard before he goes off into the wood to find the wolf and there he finds a beautiful site, his Damara. Gavin, her family and the whole pack are happy to find out she is still alive. Her wolf knows she if home and where she belongs, she just needs to get her memories back and all will be perfect. Well that is until Dreven comes back to get her. I loved how well plotted this story is, there is never a dull moment and there is drama, a bit of angst, some action, plenty of emotions with some heartfelt moments, hot ones too all leading to a great second chance romance. Thank you Ariel Marie for this great and entertaining book!

I listened to the Audible edition, Sarah Puckett and Hollace Williams are terrific narrators and voice artists. They bring these characters to life giving each their own voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. They did a great job portraying each character and projecting their emotions as well as the drama of the story into their performance. I am a huge fan of Sarah Puckett’s work and new to Hollace Williams’ and his was just as amazing. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen🎧

Not trying to hate at all just stating my personal opinion! And not saying this was a terrible story. I believe you should make your own opinions on stories and read them yourselfs or give it a go and take reviews as a guide and an opinion to see if you want to read it or not!

Eh did nothing for me, had a lot of grammer mistakes and the story was rushed and not much happened and it was all too predictable to me.
The plot was slow and predictable, I wasn't captured by the world or atmosphere and scenery etc, same with the characters there was no growth and development and it felt more like dot points and step by step motions with the plot and the characters not flowing and the characters felt one dimensional and under developed, it felt like an information dump after information dump.
There was no intrigue or on the edge of my seat feeling. It didn't make me feel anything besides annoyance at the characters and the plot. Especially because it took her 5 years to look for her family and old life.. like huh? If I woke up and had a feeling people were out there I'd go looking straight away! Wouldn't you?!

The main characters got together too fast imo and I get they knew each other before or well, he remembered her but she didn't know him right then and only had a feeling/brief images, which cool the feeling is great cause they could have taken that and grown it and got to know each other while she tried to remember and stuff but that wasn't what happened, it was all too fast for what happened with her and what she remembered.
It all felt too easy and too much of a fast fix.

The idea is a cool one though and with more development and growth and action, mystery and relationship growth it could have been so good.

I don't want to, or like to give books lower then 3 stars but I just didn't personally enjoy this but I still read it and enjoyed it a little in some parts or I wouldn't have finished the story and I didn't despise it or hate it, I just didn't personally enjoy the story much as to me it felt like nothing happened. I'm not saying it was a truely horrible book just needs a bit more work and editing.

Brianna/Damara and Gavin💕

Second Chance at Love. The FMC went on girls trip and the plane crashed she lived but ended up with amnesia for 5 years.

Brianna (given name) was taken in at another pack and lived with a couple that took her in and treat her like their own. After years being this new pack Alpha Dreven wants to mate with her but she has this aching feeling that missing something or something is calling out for her. Before she could commit to her Alpha and wants to go on this journey to find her family he agrees to make sure she not mated or have any pups.

Traveling far she ended up finding her mate, her family and her pack. They all welcomed her back in with open arms. She found out her real name is Damara Jackson and her fated mate is Alpha Gavin😍

While she with her mate/family she slowly regaining some of her memories back.

Damara ended up telling Alpha Dreven she found her family. His only concerned was was she mated and had pups she states NO but she with her fated mate. Alpha Dreven didn’t care they weren’t mated (marked) yet and she promised to be his mate.

Alpha Dreven ended up kidnapping Damara to take her back home and mate with him. When she refuses and puts a fight he KO and when she came to she got all her memories back.

There was an Alpha to Alpha Challenge. You know who wins 👌🏽

There was spice in this book 🌶️🌶️🥵
After 5 years they both waited for each other and I’m glad that Damara and Gavin got their HEA❤️

The first book in a new series, "Howl for Me" was an amazing story of true love prevailing. Wolf shifter, Brianna Wolfe, woke up 5 years ago in a California hospital with no memory of her life before. She is taken in by a wonderful couple and their pack. When the pack alpha, Dreven, wants to mate with her, Brianna's wolf rebels telling her that she needs to go find her family and her past. Gavin Greene has never believed that his true mate died in the plane crash that took the lives of her three best friends and the flight crew but he's now the pack alpha and his pack is demanding that he mate. He then hears a howl in the woods and knows his mate has returned home. The trouble is, she doesn't recognize him. Brianna is really Damara Jackson and Gavin vows to ensure she never leaves again. As Damara's memories begin to return, she calls the California pack to tell them she's staying home. However, Dreven won't accept that and he shows his true colors when he shows up with two enforcers and takes Damara meaning to mate with her whether she likes it or not. Damara calls to Gavin and he hears her despite them not having completed mating. He tracks Dreven and finds their camp.

This was a well written book and although I did find some grammatical errors, I still loved it. I look forward to future books in this series.

(4 stars)

Brianna lost her memory, has no clue where she is from, who she is, or if she has a family that has been looking for her. For five years, her wolf has been unsettled, trying to tell her that she did have something, someone out there, she just had to keep looking. She feels a bit torn, as the pack she is with took her in as one of their own. Finally listening to her wolf she sets out in hopes to find the place or person or persons that are home. Gavin has never given up hope, somewhere deep inside he knew his Damara wasn't dead, his heart and wolf would know, and both are very adamant that she is out there somewhere. But it has been five years, and now that he is alpha, he is being pressured to take a mate. When Brianna let her wolf go and let the wolf guide the way, she finally found the place that felt like it was familiar, letting out a mournful howl brings about a wolf, a wolf that makes Brianna's wolf jump for joy. But finding him is just part of the battle, now she has to remember just who he is.

This was a cute story that had a bit of a different way of doing shifters. I really enjoyed the story of Damara and Gavin. With drama, danger, and some hot naughty bits, I give this 4 stars.

DNF @page 125.

This story had potential. I'm a big Shifter fan and the cover and summary intrigued me enough to purchase a copy and read Ariel Marie's book.

I have to say, a bit... disappointed. And here's why...

1. Plot seemed familiar as if I've read it somewhere before.

2. What were supposed to be unexpected twists in the plot and sub plots, they were too easy for me as a reader to guess on what could happen next.

3. The amnesia portion was good, but felt lacking as we didn't get more insight on how Brianna/Damara felt as this was a third person story.

4. Third person point of view makes it difficult to connect with the MC and makes it harder to want to continue without other problems of the novel in the mix.

5. The MCs of the story had sex too soon, too fast. Bri just gets reintroduced to her mate, what, a day? And already they've had sex. Don't get me wrong, I'm expecting it but not smack dab first encounter. She has amnesia for crying out loud! No amount of mate bond can stop the sex from happening but if Gavin respected her more, he could've just been as happy with cuddling as he could've been with sex.

In all honesty, book progressed too quickly and too much as a reader I could guess on that left me not really needing to read the ending.

This is an amazing story I loved it and it’s the story of Damara and Gavin. 5 years ago Damara was in an accident she was the only survivor and she was found walking the streets bruised and bloodied before she collapsed. Waking up in hospital with no memory she was taken in by a couple who couldn’t have kids and she was accepted into their pack. Damara couldn’t remember anything not even her own name so she was given a new name Brianna but there was something missing from her life, did she have a family looking for her a mate with pups she just didn’t know but she wanted to go and search. There’s a party going on for Gavin he’s the new alpha since his father stood down and this party was for him to pick a mate but his heart always belonged to his mate that died 5 years ago, even though in his heart and his wolf believed that she was still alive. Gavin hears a howl he knows that howl it’s his mate so Gavin shifts and goes to find her. I loved this heartwarming story it’s a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

4.5 Golden Moon Stars 🌟

Howl for me is a second chance romance literally! Brianna awoke five years ago with no memory of where she came from or how she ended up where she was in California. Now the Alpha of her current Pack wants her to mate with him, which causes her wolf 🐺 to get restless and to go in search of who she was and is!

Gavin lost his mate five years ago in a plane crash, but has never believed that she was dead. He can still feel her and knows she’s out there somewhere because he can feel her. They never completed the mating bond and now that he’s Alpha, his Pack expects him to mate and produce heirs. At the party for just this purpose, he hears a howl that he recognises and races to find his mate......Damara😍

Unfortunately, their trials and tribulations are just starting as Damara’s previous Alpha is unwilling to leave her and takes drastic measures.

A good story and I’m hoping we learn more about this Pack in the future❣️ Thank you to Booksprout and Ariel for my advanced copy for which I leave my honest review.

Brianna/Damara has amnesia after an accident. She has been living with the pack that took her in for 5 years, and the alpha wants to mate with her. The think is she feels the need (after 5 years) to figure out if she has a mate, cubs, or other family that may be missing her (after 5 years).

She goes in search, and right when she decides she is going to give up she finds her fated mate, Gavin, and in turn her family.

Of course things aren't that easy.

I liked the premise of this story. The amnesic wolf shifter trying to figure out who she is, but I have a hard time believing that Draven (may be spelling that wrong), the alpha of the pack that took her in and who she has been around for 5 years, make a complete turn in his personality and do the things he did at the end of this book. It makes no sense whatsoever. I just couldn't get past that.

On the other hand the narration was good, but I'm not sure if I care enough about this pack to read any more of the books in this series.

We read this book for episode 97 of our podcast. Brianna Wolfe doesn’t remember her life before she woke up in an unknown wolf pack. She only knows that she isn’t Brianna. Though her current pack accepts her and she is being openly pursued by the pack’s leader, Drevin, Brianna cannot help but feel the need to venture out and find out who she truly is. With a promise to return if she doesn’t succeed, Drevin allows her to leave for her journey of self discovery. And while she gets lost on the way, she is surely found by the very people that have missed her most, especially her old love, Gavin. Join us as we go through the most perfectly written short story we have ever come across. Damara (Brianna) rediscovers herself, falls back in love with her true mate, and fights to stay in her rightful home when Drevin comes back and tries to reclaim her. Bonus: this book was squishy AF! Let’s go to a meadow and have some fun. For more of our thoughts, listen to episode 97 of Shhh We’re Reading Dirty Books found on any podcast platform!

Brianna has been living for five years with amnesia. She was found in California and taken to a hospital. There she was taken in by an older wolf shifter couple and allowed to join their pack. There the alpha took a liking to her. He;s asked her to be his mate but she has put it off. She feels deep within that there is someone waiting for her. She decides to go looking. On the last night she;s given herself she howls and before her appears Gavin, her mate. He&;s never given up thinking she;s alive. Now her and Gavin need to journey into the past to find out more not only about themselves but what actually happened. Then the alpha from the pack she;d been in shows up and kidnaps her. Now the rush is on to rescue Damara/Brianna.
Fantastic story and read!! Will give you good type of goosebumps as you journey with Gavin and Damara.

Brianna/Damara has had amnesia for five years. She has been living with a pack in California but she knows she needs to go find herself. The Alpha of the California pack isn't pleased that she wants to leave and search for her past because he wants to mate with her. Her instincts drive her East and she finally finds her former home, family and fated mate. Unfortunately it is not all smooth sailing and they will have challenges ahead before getting their much deserved HEA This book pulled me in from the beginning and held me hostage until the very end. I loved Damara and Gavin and the depth of their connection. They had both endured heartache over the years and their joy at being together again was palpable. There were sweet family moments that made me smile, some steamy parts and a spot where you want to get into the thick of things and fight. This was definitely a great paranormal romance.

A really good shifter romance.💞🐺💖💞

I really enjoyed this book! 😍

Brianna/Damara was found wandering, with no memory and a head wound, by a local wolf shifter clan. Instead of trying to find her family, the Alpha, Dreven, just convinced her to stay and become his mate. But she really felt like she was missing part of herself and finally decided to go looking for her past. When Gavin hears her howl in the forest during their clan run, he knows it's his Damara... his mate. And Damara recognizes him from her dream and her wolf knows him. Gavin knew she was still out there and couldn't let go but neither can Dreven... and that's a problem.💕💗🔥💕

This book has a few twists and turns but is full of love and passion. It's the first book in the Golden Moon Shifters series and I can't wait to read the next one! 💓

I enjoyed this story. Brianna/Damara doesn't remember who she is and even though she's started a new life 5 years ago, something is not right. She couldn't enter a mating of convenience with the alpha of her new pack while inside she just knows she has family somewhere. Poor Gavin, alpha of the Gold Moon pack, hasn't been able to move on from Damara's disappearance. When he hear's her howl he drops everything to get to her. Everyone is patient while she tries to get her memories back. The feelings that Gavin and Damara share are still there even if the memories aren't. The kidnapping by the alpha left behind forces Gavin and his pack enforcers to run to the rescue. This was a sweet and really hot story. Gavin is a very thoughtful and caring mate and Damara is back where she belongs. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.

Fantastic Romance! I love a good romance that has great chemistry between the two leads...where you can't wait for the next scene when they're together and interacting. This book delivered that, Brianna and Gavin are great together, it’s the story of an amnesiac that’s reunited with her fated mate after a five year separation. Gavin is a swoon worthy man, and kinda makes you want to go searching the woods for your own mate. It’s a quick listen of 4 hours with super likeable characters. This is the first book I have listen to by Ariel Marie. I look forward to listening to MANY MANY more of her books, which is why I highly recommend this book!

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Howl For Me by Ariel Marie is the first book in the Golden Moon Shifter series. I really loved this book. Gavin and Damara's story is amazingly heart wrenching, uplifting, sweetly romantic and spicy hot. (Mature Readers Only Please) Howl for me is a quick read with lots of action and a great set of secondary characters that strongly compliment our hero and heroine. In typical Ariel Marie fashion, this book is sweetly addictive. So, you're going to want to find someplace to read where you won't be interrupted because you aren't going to want to put this book down once you get started. Good storyline, great characters and thoroughly emotion evoking from start to finish!

This story is about Brianna who is a werewolf shifter that lost her memory 5 years prior and her Alpha Dreven wants to mate with her but she feels that she has a life elsewhere a family and a mate. So she goes off to find her old life, enter Gavin a very strong Alpha from her former life that she cannot remember but her wolf connects with instantly. Gavin never gave up hope that Brianna didn't die in a plane crash. One night he hears her howl and he will not stop til he finds his lost mate and brings her home. Will Brianna, remember Gavin? Will true love conquer all? And what of the other alpha that wants her?

I give this story 4.5 stars I love shifter stories and amnesia stories so for both troupes in one story is a true treat! I can't wait to see what else this author will write next.

Sweet romance (some graphic scenes). Overall well-written, but not a lot of conflict, either internal or external. The h came across as a little bit lame when she *spoiler* says that she made a promise to go back to the other alpha if she found out she wasn't yet mated or had pups. The fact that she'd slept with her boyfriend and had intended to mate him before the plane crash - and more importantly STILL WANTS TO MATE HIM – should be enough for her to say on the phone in no uncertain terms to the other alpha, 'I'm mated,' (especially since she was currently surrounded by her former pack, boyfriend and parents who would protect her). Part of the story line was left hanging... the enforcer didn't know how to do his job, was reprimanded several times... but this wasn't resolved and seemed to have no further impact on the storyline.

Howl For Me reminds me of why I started reading shifter books. I love the instamate connection, I love the devotion mates always have for each other, and I love the lengths they go through for each other. Brianna has no clue who she is. She suffers from amnesia and never found her family. After being pressed by her new alpha to mate, she decides to look for her family. What she finds is so much more.

I loved the instant connection Brianna felt towards Gavin. Even after years of being apart and amnesia, their chemistry and love still remains. Gavin is a swoon worthy man, and kinda makes you want to go searching the woods for your own mate.

Ariel Marie had me giddy with Howl For Me. I enjoyed every second of it and can't wait for more from her!

Brianna Wolfe has spent five years with no memory now she is going to look for her past.
Found walking injure along a road with no memory of her past she chose the name Brianna Wolfe from a book of baby names. She has rebuilt her life to the point she lives on her own and has a job but when the Alpha of the pack asks her to mate with him she knows she needs to find her past. After two months she is ready to give up and lets out a heartbreaking howl which is heard by the man she had been due to mate before she had been presumed dead in a plane crash. Alpha Gavin takes her to his home and calls her parents. He had not given up hope. A shifter romance to relax and enjoy.

Brianna has not known who she really is for 5 years and now that she has this pull to look for her past she goes and for months she travels looking and right when she was fixing yo give up she hears the howl and it pulls her .
Gavin knows in his heart his Damara his true mate is alive , they never found her body in the plane crash , then he hears her howl and he howls back pulled to her his dreams come true until she tells him she cant remember anything, being back with her true pack makes memories come back but Gavin won't mate with her 7ntil she remembers everything , but her alpha from the pack that took her in wants her for himself and Gavin is going to have to fight for his mate to the dearh.

Very enjoyable

Brianna lost her life before the last five years. Found bleeding, wandering down the street she had no memory. Her name isn't even her own. At least she doubts it is. She chose it herself from a baby name book while in hospital. Thankfully two foster parents that she loves completely took her in. Yet somewhere within she feels someone is out there looking for her. She feels like half a person. Sadly, and annoyingly the pack alpha of the group that find her keeps pressing her to become his mate. She knows deep inside she doesn't want this. She REALLY needs to discover her past! Who is she? Where did she come from? Why doesn't she distrust this alpha? I enjoyed being a bystander to her search of her past. So worth it!
