Every day, my cage gets smaller.

If I’d fought harder before, maybe we wouldn’t be in this mess now, with enemies on every side and my sugar being rationed.

I won’t make that mistake again. From now on, it’s only badassery for me.

First, I need to solve the Ringmaster’s riddles and survive the Council’s tests. Then, I have to break my Qilin free but avoid letting the monster loose.

Our future is balancing on the tip of my horn, and I still don’t have my shift together.

Good thing I have six sexy men to help me with that. I’ll need magic from all of them if we’re going to stop this war before it starts.

I’m Carlyle Licorne, and I have some shanking to do.

Kills is a very conflicted character and I really feel for him. I like how he has developed over the books.
Typical that Headquarters was such a mess and that damn Ringmaster is still screwing around. And at last we're in Haret and damn does this author have a lively imagination when it comes to mating.

Well well well,

This one surprised me. I've kinda made peace with the fact that this series is a guilty pleasure read, but i really enjoyed this book.

Carlyle was kinda badass, yes she's still sex obsessed and the amount of orgasms she had in this book was ridiculous lol. As per the title she finally mates with Killian

There's a lot of back stabbing and at the end of the book things take a slight turn

The next book should be interesting.....

Still awesome

Three books left in the series... Two more mates to claim... And the fate of 2 worlds hang in the balance. I love the characters in these books. Every time I am sure I pick a favorite guy I read the next chapter and change my mind. ☺️

Another great book in the series

Love how each book has its own story and wraps up with no cliffhangers. They is still a lot to learn on the journey and I can’t wait to read the next.

Another wonderful book that I absolutely could not put down! This series is literally getting better and better as I go through it. I’m completely obsessed with Car and her harem of deliciously magical men.

Her and Jai finally get hot and heavy; albeit it was in a cell with Killian in the mix (not complaining in the least).
Jai is fucking smouldering and his restraint towards her in general, is as agonizing as it is utterly enthralling.
He really takes the cake for me, the broody and sexy vampire alpha.
“And finally, as I began to breathe again and come down from the heavens, I realized I couldn’t tell where my mind ended and Jai’s began, either.”

I shouldn’t have been shocked that the ringmaster managed to whisk her away once again; the worst was that it followed that blissful threesome with Jai and Kills (well, as blissful a three-way in captivity can get). Jai, having just shared such an intimate moment with Car was especially upset by this development; so much so that he has a freak out and bursts them all out of their cages by sheer magical force.
“The roar from his lips split my soul in two as it reverberated against the cell, piercing into the siphon and following me all the way through the cosmos”

HE IS DELICIOUS.

The ringmaster tosses her in an iron cage and little did she know, her fae followed her into the siphon. The ringmaster plans to use her to open his portal into Haret and release the enforcer upon earth.
“You underestimate me, as did the Council and many others. I don’t play games - I win them. And I’m not just rotten in the head…I’m rotten all the way to my core”

When Killian makes himself known to her, Car is relieved but being trapped in the cage, she realizes that she needs to access her Qilin form if she wants to escape; in order to do so, she must gain Killian’s glamour capabilities, which he obliges by proceeding to tell her he wants to mate her while she’s strung up.
“I’ll mate ya now for survival, but I’ll fuck ya later for love. ”

To complete the mating, Killian has to get creative; meaning he has to pass over his magic to her without being able to fuck her, clearly unable due to her current disposition.
Thus, he so cleverly decides to go down on her and basically face fucks her into oblivion to make it work; let me just say, that was one hell of an exquisite reading experience. Hands-down one of the most unique smut scenes I’ve had the pleasure of reading so far!
“that fucking heady challenge stare. There wasn’t much sexier than Killian’s golden eyes locked on mine, daring me to claim his power for myself.”

As a result, Car is able to access her Qilin and shift for the very first time!
It’s a torturous and painful experience for her but, it is a monumental moment all the same.
She escapes from her cage, only to be chained by the ringmaster and forced to stick her Qilin horn in his vile portal.
“My horn was the last part to go, and I felt a chink echo in my head as a shard broke off of its tip, sticking in the Portal”

In opening this portal she opened the pathway for the enforcer to make his way through; he takes an instant liking to the Qilin and starts his hunt. She is unbearably forced to leave Killian behind, siphoning through to different places in order to lose the predator chasing her.
After making a trip back to the council (and a deal with Killian’s fae cousin), she realizes her guys are on their way to where she was being kept; thus, back to the ringmaster’s camp she goes.

FUCKING GINA.
She shows up to the ringmasters party to announce her newly mated status with Alderon, showing up to gloat.
She clearly doesn’t know who the fuck she’s dealing with when she threatens Dair and all of Car’s men; that was the wrong move and ultimately, the one that ended her life.
It’s about time, ugh that whore.
“”He’ll make such a handsome trophy husband on my arm. Just try and stop me, little Qilin, and you’ll see how the big girls fight.”
Jai stepped back, which meant he’d read my fucking mind before I’d lost it”

Carlyle fucks Gina up and all I could say was good riddance!

Car makes it to a safe house with her guys in tow; after the events with the ringmaster, she’s feeling weak and unsure or herself. Dair picks up on this and decides he needs to address her emotional confusion stat.
“I stripped off my own clothing, feeling primal and powerful in the night. This was my mate, and it was my duty to protect her, even when she was her own worst enemy.

His methods to break down her walls were less than conventional and definitely had my pulse racing.
“”You’re weak,” I said, drawing my cock out of her and sitting back on my heels. She crumpled into herself, and it about broke my fucking heart.”

His verbal lashing was exactly what Car needed to get her head in the right place.
She needed to own her strength and her power.
She’s a fucking queen.
“”You don’t think I’m weak.” She was barely an inch from me now, as she slid into my lap like a viper.
“You think I’m the very essence of power, all bottled up for no good reason”

I thought that would be the extent of it, until he literally threw them off the cliff mid-orgasm while their bodies were still connected; forcing Car into an ultimate test in using her magic.
Safe to say, she was NOT pleased heh.

We get several incredibly beautiful and emotional moments between Jai and Car, FINALLY!!
Like when he’s lending her some of his magic on the cliff and hears one of her thoughts about wanting him to break his walls down, so that they can be intimate again.
”“One day,” he whispered in my ear. “You’re getting stronger, as am I.
When you control your magic, and I control my bloodlust, then I will ask you to be my aima, if you still want me”

Or when he questions his place with Car, when he thinks her Qilin form doesn’t have any piece of him represented within it; he obviously turned out to be hella wrong.
That vampire was made for Car and when they do come together to complete their mating, I anticipate a lot of steam and definitely a good bit of blood.
“Jai’s eyes were darkening with lust, and before I understood what was happening, he’d pressed his palm down on the tip of my horn, impaling it deep in his flesh.”

Her fucking horn is a vampire FANG.
So badass and completely fitting with the mate it represents.

The gang decides the safest place for them at the moment is on open waters travelling by boat.
Car pulls off a full majestic-as-hell shift on the boat, wings and all, completely STUNNING the guys and leaving them in awe.
“”You’re my fucking Queen,” Jack said, stepping around me and lowering himself to one knee like the knights in the movies.
I laughed, but then Sol did it, too.
Toro joined him, then Dair.
Jai nudged Killian’s shoulder, and the two of them dropped together, both looking like they simultaneously hated and loved the gesture.”

*cue single leaking tear*
I’m so fucking proud of her.
Go bestie.

After hearing about the rampage the enforcer was going on, tearing people to pieces back at the circus grounds, Car felt the responsibility to stop him. Her and her men make their way back to the carnage and the fight is on.
In the mele, her only option in the process of trying to take out the enforcer is to bring him with her through the portal to Haret.
“Watching Carlyle tumble through the Portal with the Enforcer nearly ended my immortal fucking life.”
Car tumbles through the portal; meanwhile, Killian ensures that the ringmaster is no longer an issue by burning him in the fire of his own making.
“His screams were the lullaby that was going to put me to sleep every night for the rest of my goddamn life.”

The men inevitably follow their queen through the portal to Haret.
Carlyle awakes in a world unknown the her, only to be greeted by a woman (whom we come to learn is Jais grandma) that claims to be part of the reason her memories and powers were repressed as a child.
“Your mother brought you to me when you were born. She begged me to bind your memory and your Qilin form.”

And the plot fucking thickens..

Sidenote: we got some seriously sexy development with Toro and I’m looking forward to seeing his mating next. I just know Jai will be the hardest nut to crack but it will be so fucking worth the wait!

This book, although short and sweet, kept me on my damn toes the entire time.
Brilliant writing and I truly cannot say enough stunning things about this series so far!
I’m not sure how I contained myself enough to write this long ass review but I’m practically itching to start book 5; with that being said, speeding to do that now!

~4.5~

Carlyle and the guys were taken by the council.

They want the path open and to be the ones to control it.

But there are more players than they realized.

The Ringmaster and his crazy riddles.

The dark Qilin Aleron and his thirst for power.

The council's fae scientist and inquisitor.

Traitors.

The greedy council.

Everyone has an hidden agenda.

Carlyle just wants to save herself and her guys.

But there is always someone eager to force Carlyle to do their bidding and open the path.

Notes:

🔸Plot, behaviour & Weak emotional connection

The plot of the story is okay. Not great.
It has a somewhat interesting storyline but the delivery...
Quite frequently the characters do chose/take paths that seem weird and not the most logical.

For a tactical team, they do get caught off guard a lot.

It could be because the emotional connection to the characters is not that great and their background is a bit of a messy unknown.
So we cannot understand the reasons for some of their choices and it leaves the story lacking.

It gets confusing and I spend a lot of time just thinking "why would they do X if they can do Y?"

Sometimes they fight when they are not supposed to and they go with the flow when they should fight.

For example:
Carlyle was in a prison where she could not use her powers but she was always thinking of ways to escape. Then the council lifted what was suppressing her power in order to test her and study what she can do. That was the moment she should have considered running away. But no. That doesn't even cross her mind and she just does whatever they wish. Worse. She planned to downplay her powers but then ends up showing off. Come on! With her is always 0 or 100.

🔸Special one

Carlyle always seems to know how to do whatever she needs to do.
She never struggles nor she has to train.
She is a special snowflake.
One of a kind, so powerful.
Despite being new to everything, she never doubts, she simply accepted everything easily - having magic, several mates, public sex, being the saviour of two worlds...

Bah...not the best example of a good, believable special one trope.

🔸 Exchanging power

It isn't clear what it really is needed for the power exchange. Is it just touch? Or sexual touch? Or do the ones involved have to have feelings for each other?

And sometimes it does leave a cheap feeling behind the exchange.
Like she only seeks them and their affection to have their power.

🔸Mating

The mating process is quite a let down.

It's unclear what is truly necessary for it to take place.
Sometimes the characters struggle with accepting a mating but then when it occurs, it is nothing special.

Actually, it is as if Carlyle is simply collecting men.

🔸Romance

Tell no show.

Not much for romance.
There are a couple of sweet scenes but mostly is just sex.

***

As always my complete respect for the author and their work.
No hate nor hurt intended with this review.

Wow Book 4 of this series didn't hold any punches, I mean you knew it was going to be an interesting turn of events after the kidnapping at the end of book 3 but I wasn't ready for all the volleying and back and forth with essentially the 2 factions trying to get Carlyle to finally shift. I did enjoy the quirkiness of the Ringmaster while they were all captured, not knowing what he was gonna do next. He was very manic and I hold he got what he deserved at the end but I doubt its the last we hear from him haha. I enjoyed the mind games in this one, did make for a slower progression I think in this one, but it helped build the world and conflict we haven't necessarily seen yet in this series. Helped give the reader more info about this impending war.

I loved the steam in this one, and sooooo happy my grumpy fae got his mating, even if it wasn't what he had wanted it to be at the time (I mean their lives were at stake so I get it!!). This scene in the Council's cages was waaaaaay better and hotter. Loved him with Jai and Carlyle. Loved the power changes and more weaving of the different kinds and new ones being created. The color references are fabulous, made me smile. I felt so bad for the guys who didnt get time with Carlyle while captured, they had to have been spooked and freaking out without contact. Loved when they finally were all reunited, all the bustling from place to place because of the Enforcer (dude sounds scary AF) and the adorable moments at the Lodge and other places with each of the guys getting some alone time/or shared time with her. The steam and romance in this one was fabulous 😍.

I enjoyed the ending, seeing what the group will do now they have made the first trek they needed to (trying not to give away any spoilers haha). We get to meet a character that I can tell is going to make us laugh and give this Qilin and her mates a hard time haha. Loved what the group had to do at the end so 🔥🔥🔥. Can't wait to meet more characters from this land, see where the others grew up. Already picked up and am almost finished book 5 it's THAT good/addicting.

Narration was great yet again, not much I can say about these two. They always do a fab job, really dive into these characters and provide good performances. I did notice some weird audio moments (repeats, changing of tone/volume in random places) that had been on the others previously. I will say more of that has been on book 5 so hopefully its limited like this one.

I've been loving this series and gave each of the first 3 books 5-star reviews. This 4th book was quite different in setting and pacing, and not in a way I enjoyed, thus the 3-star rating this time.

Side note: Amazon lists these first 4 books as being a "complete series" which threw me off because it made me expect this book to be the last one. So half-way through, I was thinking, "there's no way the story can be wrapped up this quickly!" I was glad to find out at the end of the book that it wasn't the last book.

But the development of the relationships with the remaining 2 men seem to be going much quicker than the first 4, or perhaps faster than I wanted them to. Previous books teased Jai's mating as it was going to be a BIG THING, and I was looking forward to seeing how they finally come together intimately. I was majorly disappointed when their first real sex encounter was Which to me, was not in the least bit romantic or passionate and it was a huge let down. And at the end of the book, Jai refers to her as his aima, which is confusing because the book has never defined what makes someone an aima. So I feel out of the loop on the one relationship I was most excited to see develop.

As for Toro, they just seem to skip the relationship-building altogether, and just get into the physical part because she needs the exchange of power. Sex becomes this really frivolous power-exchange thing in this book that I'm not completely down with.

I'm also not as into the whole group sex thing, which I'm finding is common in Reverse Harem. I don't mind a little bit of it if a couple of characters are into it, but when everybody is down with it, it seems too hard to believe and it takes away from the intimacy, for me.

Still looking forward to reading the next book.

4.5!

Carlyle and the guys are prisoners. Put behind bars by their own people, supposedly. Frustration is just the beginning of what describes the situation and when she has to start making hard choices, she does, and not all of them may be fixable by the time her HEA resumes.

I totally made it dramatic up there but I thought this was one of the better ones. A lot of adventures, a lot of transitions and change while still making it a story and not something you could’ve skipped. This does center a lot around Carlyle and the guys but I’m reading this solely for them so I’m okay with that. The world gets built around THEM.

The bad guys were complex but still pretty crappy (I can’t swear) and I liked that they kept to the “bad guy” image without being completely redeemable. Gotta hate someone am I right lol. I STILL. FOR THE LIFE OF ME. CANNOT NOOOOT THINK. About The Last Unicorn lol. It’s the movie from my childhood and I’m too lazy to discover if this is a real tale or an actual plot of an old cartoon but I just love that Carlyle is described the same as the unicorn and I totally TOTALLY called the Bull. Because there’s a bull in the film. I’m seriously call bet that the other Qilin are somewhere in the ocean. Bet. Now read this series if you love RH and M/M and adventures and funny girls!

Can I just say WOW?!! Normally my interest in a book series lessen due to procrastination in the storyline or just use of random words to fill the story. Not with this book. It was action packet and Carlyle and the guys were put to the wringer, Lauren had me worried there for a moment. But should’ve trusted the awesome Qilin power that is Carlyle, felt as she added another depth the her character and became more complex and grown into herself and her powers in this book. The guys show more of themself and become stronger as a team. Wish I could shackle the ringmaster in iron to... This series keeps getting better and better not only because the characters but how Lauren has written the story, it’s not always up and we can’t win every battle but by qilin we can fight and win the war. It makes it more believable and not always rainbows and sparkle (yes, pun intended). Killian and Jai surprised me and I got to known them better and what motivates them. Got to say a REALLY pissed of Jai is HOT!

The guys.. View, I can lick them every day. Sorry to say Carlyle might not like that! Really looking forward to what happens next.

Book read for my complete and humble opinion of the story, read it and dare say i’m wrong.

Slightly short of 5 stars

I would love to have given this book five stars but it fell slightly short. It was really well written but I think the major issue is lack of connection. I dont really care about Haret, none of the guys have any sort of deep connection either. There is a lack of depth causing me not to care about the characters or the plot.

Its really unfortunate honestly. I really want to like the series because the writting is good but as it goes on I am not learning enough about the characters to form any sort of emotional attachment.

The steamy scenes are having a similar issue. They are completely on fire but I don't really care about the participants. It feels like the steam was just dropped in at what seemed like the logical moment for a steamy scene.

Im pretty sad about this lack of depth. Despite the ending of this book offering some new information, I dont think I will continue the series.

Also of note, during the last book I was starting to get a Last Unicorn vibe. Now I'm even more sure that this is either an elaborate retelling or at least, in part, inspired by The Last Unicorn. Dont misunderstand, it's by far unique enough that its original work but there are a couple similarities that I noticed. I think its kinda fun.

Im enjoying this series less and less as it continues. First of all I feel like every single book one or more of them is kidnapped or captured one or more times. It's getting kind of old. I mean these are supposed to be some of the best skilled of their kind, and they are trapped every five seconds. Second, the sex is getting a little (a lot) ridicolous. Every five minutes she is humping someone else. Seriously, if you took the sex out this boom would be about 100 pages long, and then it would just be her eating, asking to eat, or all or one of them getting caught by the enemy...again. And I don't know why she didn't just siphone them out of there in the cage. You'll know the part when it happens. There is even a reminder about magic, but that is the only type she doesn't try. Also the strength and longevity of her power has major continuity errors between one scene to the next. She is supposed to have an ever present power from her mates, but she will hump five of them like bunny rabbits on meth and have barely enough power to swipe right, then she will kiss just one of them and have enough power to reverse the earth's rotation and not even be winded. It was an interesting story and I'm disappointed the story is really being set aside for cringey sex.

Great Green 💚

** Cliffhanger-ish Warning! ** Holy sugar! This book is delicious. It's still an amazing, action-packed, whirlwind of adventure with a Qilin (unicorn) main character and her team. It's definitely the middle of the rainbow as the group has to overcome some huge problems, meet some more villains, and deal with things like false imprisonment, deranged doctors, and solving a few puzzles.

There's almost always one male in a reverse harem who resists his attraction and feelings for the FMC. Killian is one of those guys. He is sometimes a jerk, but he is a lot like one of those candies with a hard shell. Once you lick away the shell, the inside is a sweet, gooey treat. While I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know why he is so weird about being one of Carlyle's mates, he does bring something special to the story: Friction. So much friction!

This book has so much suspense and mystery to it. While some issues are taken care of, there's still a bunch of new things to tackle. I'm excited to see what happens in the next book.

So much freaking happened!!!! Like I spent half a day listing the book pages non-stop because at this point i’m so in to the story and characters and the world like it living rent free in my head.

Carlyle in this one is a TOTAL badass. Every situation and every obstacle which comes at her she resolved with much thinking, and doing reasonable decision. (Which is surprise on it’s on cause in previous parts she had some dubious decisions).

Her Qilin is ✨✨✨✨✨ I was reading the description and wow my imagination has brought it far and beyond because the authors writing style is unbelievable. You can really imagine every detail of EVERYTHING what is going on as well as the 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

On the scale of 10, this story has conquered my heart and it can be 100✨✨✨

The finale of this book? 🎤🎤🎤🎤 The only thing i can say it’s FINALLY, as everything was coming to it for the last 4 books and we are finally here. NOW the most interesting part of the world building (in my opinion) will start.

Jai?😍 Kills?🥵😍? That’s it, i will leave it here
Dair? I was dead 🤣🤣

I Loved it!

I loved this book just as much as the others! Carlyle has developed her magical skills even more and she’s now an even stronger Qilin. So much action, drama, excitement, and scorching hot sexy times in this book. More of the complex storyline is unraveled, giving us some answers, while new twists and puzzles were added to the mix. Carlyle and her men are all back in Haret and now a new journey starts for them.

Like the title suggests, Carlyle has claimed another mate in Killian. I think the author could have worked more on the development of the relationships to make it seem like Carlyle isn’t just using them for their power, but for love. At times, I felt as if she was getting power hungry.

Another great addition to this wonderful series full of shifters, magic, sexy times, love, betrayal, and drama.

#mind blown

You would honestly think that after 3-4 books in a series the author would forget little tidbits that were in prior books, or skip over details, or even just lose the flair that pulled you in to begin with... **ck no with this series. I read this one nonstop in about 10 hours and yes it is 5 am!! So another night without sleep. We got the male Qilin; Ringmaster; the Council; **cking Gina; The Enforcer; (and lets not forget Carlyle hasn’t finished tasting her rainbow yet) all about to explode through Carlyle’s life at once. And holy cow does she manage and seeing her finally become what we can reading about her Qilin nature was so much more than I expected.

Now the question is, do I sleep or start on book 5?!! Haha who am I kidding!?? Got another coffee ready so book 5 here I come!!

RH: 1 FMC, 6 guys. Fantasy.

Keeping this short:

World building is okay, but lacks detail and imagery for the other world, Haret. The adventure/plot is well done. However, I think there was way too much sex in the book. It took away from the story and the characters’ worth. I understand the relationships are build on more than just sex, but with all the sex, and without the magical mate bond, the relationships wouldn’t be strong. The characters are different, but little to no time is spent developing them (except the FMC). For instance, Toro and Carlyle. They jumped into the sexual relationship without knowing each other (like really knowing eachother). So long complaint short, too much sex. I hope the next book is a little cleaner (but not too clean!)

Holy mackerel! This series just keeps getting better and better. Our characters grow with each story. They will have you cheering one second and laughing the next. Then you will get angry over how they are being treated all while you are pulled deeper and deeper into it to the point that you can't put it down. I had to read this straight through. It is a mixed bag of emotions that you can feel all the way throughout the entire story. This is an aphrodisiac for the soul and mind. It will have you believing any magic and all that we hear are myths. It is a fabulous read and definitely worth reading.

Really hot unbridled guys but the heroine is clueless

I am almost to the end of the series but I went back and reread this book. He is so conflicted and f#*ked up you just want to gather him in your arms and then at other times smack him in the back of his head as a wake up call or just screw him half to death. See he confuses you as well. Well the story finally begins to progress. The team is all together and our Qilin begins to act a bit older. This should help her fit in with some of her other mate and mates to come (Dair, Toro, and Jai). So jump on the rainbow road to Haret. Its a blast.

Yes Kills

I thought Kills was going to kill me with all that smexy tension. I fell like screaming FINALLY. Carlyle coming into her own and realizing exactly who she is and claiming it was empowering. Laurel Chase has one of the BEST series out there and I can't wait for the next book and to get back to Haret. If you haven't read this Series yet DO IT NOW. DON'T WAIT. There is nothing else quite like it out there. It's in a level all of it's own. Jack's still MY MAN though just had to throw that out there.

This next book in the Haret Chronicles hits the ground running. It picks up right where the previous book left off, with Carlyle and her “rainbow” of guys trapped at the Council facility, and NEVER stops. She has to figure out how to get out of the facility, save her guys, figure out her shift, claim mates, outsmart the Ringmaster, find a way to open the path.......and this is just in the first few chapters!!!! Even with so much going on this book never seems rushed. And the HEAT! This book is soooo hot. Let me just say...Jai? MMMM, MMMM, MMMM. All the colors of the rainbow are sizzling.:)

What a ride (or should I say circus) 😉

This series is one of my absolute favorites. The characters are flawed and perfectly written. They complete each other and play of each other’s strengths. The plot and cliffhangers are well written and leave you panting for more of this enticing story and this incredible team. I cannot wait for the next installments. I’m especially looking forward to Carlyle and Jai’s entanglement! This book deserves a 10 out of 5. Download this book! You want be disappointed!

Flove the fae!

This whole story is sofa king awesome. The most recent book finds Carlyle and her guys locked up by the council and the crazy ringmaster. Carlyle not only strengthens her bonds with her mates, but her belief in herself. There’s a lot of fighting and running in the books and not much time to reflect and plan next steps. It was a great book with stupid hot scenes with her mates. I love her attitude and love she has for all her guys and though there is fear, she still tries to do the right and best thing. I can’t wait for a piece of merman!

Great flow of story

Seriously this series is one of the best to read if you’re picky like me and hate when you’ve got to question things when reading a paragraph to understand what the author is trying to get across. It’s so smooth and easy to read that you instantly have gratification after each scene. No questioning and no being left unsatisfied. Characters are evolving perfectly and they’re still all separate personalities, with how many characters there are that can be kinda tough sometimes. Great work! Can’t wait until the next one!!

Bloody hell, that was hot!

That final seen....Damn. This book had me wishing I was Carlyle in a way I never would have before. She's found her Qilin. She's got 4 mates. She beat the Ringmaster. She played Turin. She saved more innocent people. She made it to Haret. And now she has a new mission, plus two more mates to claim. Toro will be easy but Jai is still holding back. I don't think they'll be unmatched much longer though. This books made me want to taste the rainbow. Fucking wow!

Another one down

This wasn’t my favorite of the books. So much time was spent describing her capture I felt like I needed to page through it. There’s only so much detailing I can take about someone being captured where it just becomes a repetitive snore-fest. Also I feel like the heroine should’ve been a little more badass and there were definitely longer moments of her being a little more on the lame side..that and some of the steamy scenes didn’t seem to make sense? It was a little hard to imagine some of what was going on. With that said I’ll still finish the series

I won't lie and say that I haven't been waiting for this book. Killian has always had a piece of my heart and I'm so happy that his book is FINALLY here. If you've read the previous books, then you know that she has to mate with each of the men in order of the rainbow... and it is finally Killian's turn!

Carlyle is responsible for opening the path, in order to save Haret. She needs the support of all six men to make that happen. Killian has always been super stubborn, and watching him finally admit what he wants? I promise you want to have a front row seat to that!

**Warning: this text may contain spoilers**
Im still new to reviewing but all I can say is holy hell. I finished this book in less than a day it was that good. The way that the 6 man care for their Qilin , even the two that she has not mated with, will have you swooning and probably in need of a cold shower. In this book Carlyle really starts to believe in her self and her abilities. Amazing book and worth 5 stars all the way!
