Nothing said tragic like going solo to a society wedding, especially when the bride was my sister. With no prospects and even less time, I turned to a sure a matchmaker. I just wasn’t expecting to be matched with Archie Reed. He was the rakishly handsome lawyer at a rival firm and the man responsible for humiliating me in the courtroom during my first trial. But my desperation combined with Archie's charm and persistence left me with no other option. Archie was supposed to be the solution to a temporary problem, so why did my heart want him to stay permanently? Skip the chocolates, forget the roses. Who needs candlelight dinners when you can have thirteen Valentine’s Day romances set in a shared world? Your favorite collaboration pack is back, this time with matchmaker stories that put the man in roMANce… our heroes are all alpha, all swoon-worthy, and all for YOU! Happy hearts day, sweetie!
I was first indoctrinated into the romance genre by my babysitter who watched hours upon hours of daytime soap operas. I harbored many inappropriate crushes on fictional characters such as John Black from “Days of Our Lives,” Orry Main from the min-series “North & South,” and Edward Fairfax Rochester from Jane Eyre. I am still in love with Davy Jones from The Monkees.
I currently live in the Southwest with my husband, tiny four-year-old terror, and a tuxedo cat with a limp. When I'm not swooning over book boyfriends or dreaming up romances, I can be found educating the youth of America. Or eating tacos

Layne now needs to find a Mr Temporary as her date. Archie Reed also a lawyer at a different law firm has always felt attracted to Layne from the first time they met, unfortunately it was in court and he won the the case. Professional rivary ever since. Layne sets out to find her wedding date. Milly her friend puts her in contact with Grace Graham a matchmaker who does things a little differently than other matchmaking services. Imagine her suprise after writing Mr Temporary her honest emotional letter, spillling her heart out about being the black sheep of her family to discover her Mr Temporary is indeed Archie her professional nemesis. This was a well written story with great romantic comedy and a wonderful love story filled with passion off the charts sexual chemistry and a strong stubborn man who shows Layne that she indeed worth the world and to be worshipped. I really enjoyed this book.
This is a another great addition to the matchmaker series a short story multi author collection where you are introduced to a candidate through a matchmaking service and are encouraged t write and get to know one another before meeting
This is Layne and Archie Both are lawyers at prestigious firms she is the youngest lawyer at her firm but still doesn't measure up t her families standards when her sister is to marry she isn't even allowed a plus one something she demands now she just has to find herself one. Archie has always been interested in Layne he works for a rival firm and defeated her in one of her first cases. Imagine her surprise after writing to Mr Temporary her matchmaking mate that it is in fact Archie He will be the perfect man for her as he teaches her that she is indeed worth everything in his world and the romance and steam between these two will blow you socks off
A nudge to find a love that was right in front of her Layne needed a date to her sister's high society wedding. She remembered about a story her friend had wrote about Grace Graham's old fashioned matchmaking service (letter writing to get to know one another before meeting) & figured she'd give it a shot. She wasn't looking for forever just someone temporary but Mr Temporary soon embeds himself in her thoughts & no longer wants to be temporary. The surprise comes when they plan to meet. Layne finds out her match is someone she already knows & doesn't really like, Archie Reed. Archie is a rival counselor she has a history with in the court room. Believing in Grace's matchmaking skills is hard for Layne but Archie doesn't give up easy. Great story! Layne & Archie are a romance power couple. The banter, romance, chemistry & steam add so much to the story. Archie is on my list (I have lots of lists. Lol) of book boyfriends.
The Matchmaker Series is a collaboration of short stories by different authors linked in the same world. Grab some coffee or wine if you prefer. Get comfy and prepare to be romanced into Valentine's just as these authors know how to do. Swooning!! I love, love, love these short stories of romance with just enough steam to keep it more interesting
This is another good story in the "Matchmaker" series. It's a great story that is well written, especially for the length. All of these stories are so different but focus on meeting through Grace the matchmaker. Grace has a different take on matchmaking that is a little old school. It's a refreshing approach to meeting your perfect match. This is a sweet and very steamy story that is a fairly quick read. I loved Archie and Layne! The chemistry between them is off the charts! He is so incredible for her and gives her a family that she always wanted but also gives her the strength to stand against her family. She was treated awful by her mother and sister! I am so glad her dad finally stepped up as well.
This is a fun, flirty and very steamy romance between two rival lawyers who’ve been set up by a matchmaker. I enjoyed the early interactions between Layne and Archie as they communicated not knowing the other’s identity. Layne’s reaction to the reveal was as expected, but I loved Archie’s dominant way of matter-of-factly telling Layne how things would play out between them. You’ve just got to love a take-charge alpha male! While the story is a very quick read, there’s a satisfying whirlwind romance and several very steamy encounters as Mr. Temporary becomes Mr. Something-So-Much-More!

I’m not going to spoil it. You should just buy and devour right now! The characters are sexy and the storyline is binge worthy. I wish we could have more. A well rounded complete story everyone should read.
I loved this story. Layne and Archie were everything and the story had it all. I could easily have read a length story about the pair. Highly recommended and an easy five stars
I am really enjoying this series ... great book cover ... depends on the holiday ... guess these ladies are coming out with a great read for each one? what will be next? can't wait!! fingers and toes are crossed.
Dear Mr Temporary by Rebecca Gallo a five-star read that you will want permanently in your life. This is definitely one for all of those old-fashioned romantics out there especially those who have ever felt like the black sheep of the family, as you will adore this story. This Matchmaker really knows her stuff, and what would you do to save going stag? There was a great sizzle with the arguments between Archie and his black sheep. This is short, sweet and steamy, with a plot that will keep you hooked.
Wow, what a great story!!! Sometimes love can be found with the most unlikely of people. Layne is looking for Mr. Temporary, while Archie is looking for something not so temporary. Grab this wonderful book and find out if love can prevail. Excellent story, definitely a must read.

Fun, delightful, sexy, and spicy.....”Dear Mr Temporary” is a great light romance that I really enjoyed reading. Great book to add to this series by these amazing authors. Would recommend
One of the Best Romcom Novellas Around! Dear Mr Temporary by author Rebecca Gallo is a wonderful enemy to lovers novella. It is a very well written storyline that kept me reading straight through until the end. The main characters, Layne and Archie are rival attorneys who have, unbeknownst to each other sought the services of a Matchmaker. The matchmaker demands contact is in letter writing first. So there is attraction and hopefulness in writing. Everything changes when they meet. The chemistry written thrust their dialogue and letters was perfect. Definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and I am leaving this review for your consideration. Happy Valentines Day.
Layne Hall is a successful lawyer but is vindicated black sheep because she’s not getting married yet. When her sister is getting married in six months, she reaches out to Grace, who matches people via letters first.
Archie is also a lawyer, someone she already knows and dislikes, but who she’s been writing to as Mr. Temporary, her potential date to her sisters wedding. He’s her enemy in the courtroom.
Sparks fly. Her sister is bridezilla. Who will be her date?

I loved this book by Rebecca Gallo so hard. This is a quick read that has all the feels from swoon, to love, to hate, and then sweet love again. Archie and Layne are two strong characters that will make you love their relationship from start to finish.
This was a good story and I loved how the story came together so you understood the dynamics of the characters and how they related to one another. I hate that it took a hand written letter for the main character to go from feeling no love to realizing just what love is supposed to.

This is one hot and sweet story thats funny yet with substance. Any story in the series is awesome and unique. This one is one of the best! Good job Rebecca!
i read this book as part of an arc program. This book is a part of The Matchmaker series written by a variety of authors. In this book, Layne is a young lawyer who is the youngest partner in her law firm. Layne is the youngest daughter of a very wealthy family, but she is the black sheep. Layne's sister is getting married and Layne is left out of things, even thought her mother hounds her about it. When there isn't a place for a plus one to the wedding in Layne's invitation, she knows she has to find someone to go to the wedding. Layne uses the matchmaking agency and is matched almost right away with a man who has been waiting for his match for a while. Mr. Temporary is Layne's match and they get to know one another through letters. When the time comes for them to meet, Layne is horrified to see her match is her nemesis, lawyer Archie Reed. Archie persists and tells Layne he is going to date her. When Layne invited him to Sunday dinner with her family, Archie is shocked and angered at how they treat Layne. I really liked this story. I liked Archie and how he always knew he would marry Layne. Archie was so sure of his love and that he wanted to be with Layne. I think Layne loved Archie too, but she hated to admit it. Well done.
Layne's mother and sister look down their noses at her and try to make her feel less. When she gets invited to her sister's wedding but doesn't get the option of a plus one she gets mad. She calls and tells them that she is bringing a date without having one yet. When she signs on to the match making service she never thought that she would be baring her soul to her professional rival Archie Reed. Archie has always wanted Layne but never thought he'd get the chance. Now after what she shared with him Archie knows that he isn't going to let this chance pass him by. Can they with stand anything her family throws at them?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

I absolutely loved Dear Mr. Temporary by Rebecca Gallo. Layne needs a date to her sister's elaborate his society wedding. For as long as she could remember she has been the black sheep of her family. She may at the top junior associate at her law firm but when it comes to her family, nothing she does is ever good enough. Determined not to be humiliated at her sister's wedding, she decides to try a matchmaker. She just wants a "Mr. Temporary" to take as her plus one. She is shocked when her match turns out to be someone she already knows. Archie is also her rival and she cannot believe he is her match. Archie has loved Layne since they first met. Archie doesn't intend to be her "Mr. Temporary". He will be her Mr. Forever!
What a funny story that you will love to read,I so loved Layne, smart, beautiful need temporary boyfriend. She got one thru agency,it was her enemy. The lawyer she hates. She thinks.. Layne was just so funny. Archie was the perfect blend of sexy, romantic, and funny. He definitely like her and took this opportunity to get her. He didn’t let Layne get her way ,he put own funny spin on this. The sexy alpha approach. We also meet some characters from previous stories ,it made more interesting this way.

Oh, I so loved this story. When you find your perfect match and realize it’s someone you thought you hated. Layne was just so funny. Archie was the perfect blend of sexy, romantic, and funny. I’m glad he didn’t let Layne get her way and he had that hot sexy alpha thing going. I also love these collaborations and when characters from previous stories make an appearance so I absolutely loved seeing Layne being friends with Milly and her being in England.

With her sister’s wedding approaching in six months Layne needs a date so she decides to engage a matchmaker even if a date is what she is looking for and not love. When she starts receiving letters from her match she is intrigued and they agree to meet but when she finds out he is Archie, a fellow lawyer who she clashes with constantly, she is less than impressed.
Archie is determined to win her heart and show her that even though she doesn’t know it he is exactly what she needs.
Hot chemistry, humorous banter and Archie’s protective side will have you wanting him for yourself.
Dear Mr Temporary by author Rebecca Gallo Is a wonderful love story

Needing a date for her sisters wedding Layne sent a letter to the matchmaker never imagining her Mr Temporary would be her rival Archie. How he infuriates her! He proves when they are together that he will fight for her and she can't help but realize all this time what she thought was hate is actually love. They are so grateful the matchmaker put them together so their lives could be better together. Exciting and so full of love you'll burst with feelings as you follow their story.
This is the first Rebecca Gallo book I've read and it won't be the last. This was a fun short read that kept my interest from the beginning to the end. The characters and storyline was well written and enjoyable to read. Archie and Layne are both strong characters and that made for a well balanced couple. The attraction between the couple simmered along nice as they engaged in a chemistry that was steamy and hot.

Layne needs a date for her sister's society wedding so she signs up with Grace Graham's matchmaking agency to find Mr. Temporary. She only needs him to be her pretend boyfriend for the wedding but they turn out to be a perfect match. This is a well written love story about two people who have sizzling chemistry and they are perfect for each other. This is a great addition to The Matchmaker Series and I am loving all the novellas in this series. The covers are drool worthy! I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Amazing and fantastic! A great read with a perfect storyline that is superbly written.
