Being daddy’s little girl is all good, until she’s ready to venture out into the world. Jhyrah is young and beautiful with an overprotective father, Jahrein. With Jeremy she thinks she’s found the one, therefore she plays big girl, ready to do all the grown-up things her parents frown upon. On her quest to find her own way, Jhyrah will bump her head plenty, as her parents are left wondering what happened to the little girl they’ve raised. The Wild Child is about young love transitioning into the real deal, as two people must find themselves in a corrupt society.
I couldn’t wait for this book!! But repeating characters stories we don’t need em anymore!!! If people don’t know these characters by now that’s on them lol!!! Other than that I loved this book
If your a Nicole Jackson fan... You know that some of these characters are from other books... I love the fact that you can start with this book and not be confused about anything. Everything and every relationship is explained. As many books as she has written... All the facts remain the same... The smallest detail never changes. I appreciate that. Patiently waiting for the full novel!
Ok. This book has me excited! For Ms. Jackson to give us the story of another couple in her saga...whoo!! Can’t wait for the full book! Jeremy and Jhyrah are gonna be an explosive love story and I can’t wait!
“I’m serious as cancer, man. Think about it. What girl you know loves to fuck that often? I know it’s at least four times a day, and that’s just what I count. She’s draining you of everything you have. Shit, if you tried to cheat, you’d have nothing to give. Her lil’ nasty ass is swallowing it all. And then when she’s done with you, she unscrews your dick and tuck it away in one of her high-priced bags that you bought. Have you jumping through all types of hoops and hurdles. ‘Oh, Jhyrah is gonna be hungry. I gotta feed her. She wants that new bag. Let me buy her that shit before I buy myself anything’. That shit doesn’t sound familiar?” -Jared
Yeah, okay, Jeremy. But let me tell you something. Contrary to what you’re thinking, me and you are in this shit forever. I mean, forever. There is no getting rid of me. Hell, if you try, I promise to raise all kind of hell in your life. And I’m not just saying this. I’ll make the next bitch throw in the towel. She’ll be like ‘Here comes that bitch Jhyrah and all the ignorant shit she brings.’ I promise. You’re mine, boy. And yeah, I should’ve called, so I apologize. It won’t happen again. But kill that breaking up noise. It’s not happening. You should’ve never fucked me. Cause now you’re stuck with me.” -Jhyrah
“Nigga, I said that I was done with her. Aint nobody told that dumb broad that she could be done with me.” -Jeremy
Nicole Jackson is a great storyteller. I’ve read all of her books and she is definitely gifted with the pen. It took me a while to actually read this novel because I thought to myself “Nicole Jackson, although her writing skills are good the storylines are the same”. With that being said if this was your first or second time reading one of Nicole’s novels you would more than likely find that her writing style is pretty good. However, if you’ve read more than 2 of her novels than you more than likely will feel like I feel. I say this with the best intentions... girl you need to get a new story line and some new characters! Stop please stop! I get it you love your hometown, you more than likely love this social media era that we seem to be stuck in but I truly believe that you’ve grown so much as a author that you need to push your pen in another direction. It’s almost as if you like to take us (audience) on this ride that we’ve been on a million times.
This story was okay but I expect more from this author now. I believe I wrote this before for this author... in order to grow you must let go. Let these characters go please!
Jhyrah was so likeabke and I was rooting for her to figure things out faster than she did. All that drinking and almost getting assaulted was for the birds. Why trust a ran through like Roxy. Jeremy worked my everlasting nerves. He was so damn silly and got played by Vita. As fine and sexy as he was, he was so damn insecure. The sex between he and Jjyrah was off the scales and made the book juicy. But, they were too young to be having older folks issues. I just wish Nicole would allow her female characters to finish school without having a baby as a single parent. She glorifies and normalizes out of wedlock births, baby momma/daddy lifestyles and single parenthood. That’s not the look in 2023. It is time for her characters to promote responsible sex, marriage before babies, skills and success before dropping out of high school or college. It is a new day for Black people in 2023 and beyond. We are coming up.
The H-Town 5th ward saga continues with Raven and Jahrein’s and Jay-Rock and Paris’ children Jhyrah and Jeremy’s intense, roller coaster, “forever kind of love” romance. Jhyrah is a perfect blend of her parents’ youthful mistakes coupled with the guidance, love and wisdom Jah and Raven learned from their journey. Nicole Jackson’s dialogue is appropriately lethal, honest, passionate, sincere and understanding. All of our favorite H-Town hero’s and heroines make an appearance, including Trinity and Sincere. I thought Vita was about to be another Tyra, but mama Raven said, “not today”. My favorite line is Keyasia’s, “I can’t fight right now, but I know Jazel is always down to start a fire. She’ll burn that muthaf**ker down with Jeremy and his b**ch in it.” 😂🤣
By far theeeee BEST sample I’ve read from you! This brings me back to “Connected” and “Hold you down” days. Whewwwww no dramatics this was 🔥🔥🔥🔥. (All your books were) but I was waiting for this one for years 😂😂. Please don’t have us waiting for the full novel .
Ps: I just want Jeremy and Jhyrah to prosper and make it in life . Loved this book already and it was only the sample lol.
Boring and tacky. Jeremy had one foot out the door all along and was just looking for any old reason to leave Jhyrah. I wish Nicole would write about a strong black woman, whom though she may not need a man, she’s with him because she wants to be with him. All these women she writes about got some weak personalities. There isn’t enough love in the world to allow a man to treat you a certain type of way, or lose yourself if he leaves you. Just way too weak!
I did enjoy this sample but it wasn't your best work . I found myself skipping over pages because you was retelling situations i read from your previous books . When it finally started getting interesting again it ended . I guess I'm spoiled by your other samples cause this was a very fast read for me can't wait to read the entire book
I’ll admit I’m intrigued however it’s unfortunate 35% of this sample is a recap. It’s redundant instead of recapping include a list of all of your works in the order they should be read because hate or not these books are a series. And no longer standalone. Embrace it or lose loyal fans.
Another Nicole Jackson hit. I love her books and this was no exception. Love reading about all my favorite characters. I still hate that Red is doing so bad. Ray-Ray Reilly did her wrong and to make her bitter is so unfair. Nicole please let Red find love too. Love, love seeing the kids grow up. Definitely recommended.
LMAO 🤣 what a way to end a great book . Raven was not playing at all about her daughter and Miss Vita did not get the memo before lol I needed just one more charter after that one .But this like all of your other books was way past awesome and it made me want to go and reread every book
I would definitely recommend this book to whoever would listen. I felt like in the beginning Jhyrah was mature enough to know how to do certain things other than learning how to properly love Jeremy. As for Jeremy he was wrong to secretly befriending that girl. Paris is something else lol.
MANNNNNNNN, Every time I say I’m going to stop reading these samples and EVERY TIME I read them wanting and geeking for more. I can’t wait for this full novel to come out...PLEASE DON’T TAKE TOO LONG! This was EVERYTHING!!!!!
I literally love reading books by Nicole because it’s like watching a never ending movie that never gets boring. Each set of characters surprise you even when you think you know them . Cannot wait for the full novel !
Nicole I’m waiting patiently....This story is definitely going to pull at my heart strings. If you are a real Nicole Jackson fan you will appreciate this story and you will be eager for her to finish this novel.
I knew this sample was going to be 🔥I can’t wait to read the full book. Jhyrah and Jeremy are such a cute couple, I can already tell that Jhyrah is going to be a handful. I was s almost in tears at the end.
Jhyrah is definitely a force to be reckoned with but that’s to be expected coming from Raven and Jahrein. This is absolutely my favorite family to read about so this sample hit the spot. I am look8mg forward to the full novel.
That read was everything at the end of the book! On point as always. Real issues were brought up that even gave me a moment for self reflection. I love it when I get a hood love story mixed with real life issues and solutions. Awesome job!!!!
Raven don’t play bout her’s. This was a good read, Nicole books are my soap operas. I love them all and to see the children grow up is a treat. My two favorite couples (Raven and Jah, Paris and Jay Rock) children got together so that was a plus for me.
This book is really good. I haven’t read all of the books associated with this one because I don’t know which one to start with. However I read Even When it’s Wrong first and You Ain’t My Type before this one. All of them are page turners!!!
Miss Jackson, Imma need you to stop romanticising teenage pregnancy and unprotected sex.I think you are a very good writer and you can come up with beauty love stories that don’t have to have cheating or messiness. Anyway this was a good read
