Good!

Let me explain right off the bat. The other books by this author I did not enjoy. This one was better. It a very short and fun book. I like these examples better for I feel it easier for everyone to understand and they were fun. It was not boring exercises. These are the reasons I give it 4 stars.

I find the cover to be boring. However, everyone has different tastes. If I am not familiar with an author, and there an attracting cover, it grabs me. If a person is looking for a fun read of music, try this. I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.

EAR TRAINING: FOR BEGINNERS is the third guide released by Forslund Music. (The first two are MUSIC THEORY FOR BEGINNERS and HOW TO COMPOSE MUSIC FOR BEGINNERS. All three are quite understandable and well-written, with attention to making the music processes readily comprehensible even for musicians and/or singers just starting out. I was particularly impressed by EAR TRAINING, because it occurred to me immediately that this type of practice can be useful even to those of us who are neither singers or musicians, both for enjoying the music we love to listen to, and also for many other situations in which we as individuals or in a group need to attend and to ascertain sounds. For example, students listening to a University professor's lecture, or an individual enjoying a podcast featuring a favourite author. Conversations, too; we all need to be able to hear with both clarity and accuracy, and certainly ear training could be very beneficial in several respects.
