Is running away to a small town the answer to a big problem?

Seeking refuge from a scandal, Tilly returns to the small farm where she grew up. She expects to find an empty house. Instead, she finds a naked woman in the bathtub. A beautiful, naked woman.

Tilly can’t decide if she’s angry at Eva or attracted to her, but either way they can’t avoid each other in the small community. A quiet break in the country is turning out to be anything but for Tilly. But it might also be exactly what she needs.

As attraction turns to romance, she learns there is more to Eva than meets the eye. Eva is strong, and strength is what Tilly needs when she has to face the fight that is waiting for her in the city.

Will she be strong enough to overcome what stands between her and a chance at happiness?

I write the books I want to read. I hope you like them too. I live in a small, coastal community in Australia. Whenever I can, I go travelling. If I'm not writing something it's probably because I'm reading.

I read True Hearts by the same Author, and at the end of the book I saw the authors other works, and that there was another book from the same town of Tyndall, featuring two other ladies that were a couple, who made an appearance in that book. So I knew I had to read their story!.

This one stars Tilly and Eva. Eva is the cook/chef from the pub, who does the famous chicken parmigiana dinner specials on Friday nights. She works hard to overcome her family's not great reputation in town, and is a true part of the community with a giving spirit.

Tilly has come back to Tyndall after years of being away. Her grandparents small property and house has been sitting empty for years since their passing, so when she arrives unexpectedly to find the place in perfect condition, having been taken care of she's a bit shocked. Even moreso when she goes to have a bath and finds a very naked Eva already in there having a soak!

Tilly remembers Eva from when they were girls and they lived in the area. Restarting a friendship.

Tilly is a typical untrusting city girl, though. She finds herself suspicious of Eva's motives and because of a situation she had back in Melbourne with her previous employer, finds it difficult to accept the true community spirit given in earnest.

They make a good pair, and their romance is sweet, but also hot at times. Both have hurt they are trying to get over, and both feel the need to prove themselves. But also fear failure and judgement, and stepping outside of comfort zones. But they encourage and challenge eachother in the best ways, and so it was a nice Kindle Unlimited read that was only about 2 hours, but a nice casual read, with a HEA.

STRONG hearts.

this story could easily be set in any english village or small town, for some time into the story i realy did beleave that, tilly and eva i fell in love ( i do that a lot)
when tilly found a strange and attractive women in her bath, candle lit bathroom ( i do that to very relaxing) tilly could have thrown her out into the stormy night but gave her the opertunity to stay dry and warm and to stay in tilly's bed and for tilly to take the cauch I new this what ever it was would become more, i began to feel close to eva almost from the beginning her gentle kind and quite personality. her ever working strong, job after job' for no apparrant reward had me brimming this girl would be a blessing to any small community,
with tilly's arrival and the difference between rural and city life and beliefe structures tilly begins to learn about eva and the community where skills and careing society are more important than any monitary gain, and as tilly chased eva over several towns and just missing her, angree over the loss of her grands apple orchard, at each stop she learns somthing new about eva and the comunity,
at mis winter's ida told tilly that if the roof was leaking the floor would likely be under water before any plumber would come to her assistance and cost the earth but a word in the right ear and the job would get done as soon as, and would cost nothing, the right skill used in the right way,
and may i just say a running theme in all lesfic novels iv read since early this year has been
miscominication and jumping to the wrong conclution without any real knolledge of the facts and all the main m/c's do it, every book has that one major disfuction and it drives me pottie,

the fact fact that eva had taken over the running of the farm and the upkeep of the house was lost to tilly hence the chasing after her when she'd seen the beloved apple orchard gone and changing the crop to olives had made tilly so angree without knowing the reasons behind it, tilly was convinced she was doing it for personal gain, ( without knowing the full reason for eva doing any of it)
the fact that when tilly got to tynedall the house and grounds where spotless and where purfect when it was expected that after so long neglected there would likely be a lot do in order to sell it, made no difference to tilly in her initial beleafe, untill she started hearing from poeple who tilly had known as a child and trusted that eva wasnt the person she thought and that tilly had been horrible to her, was heartbreaking, the truth was that eva had been real friends with tilly's gran and took over the land and house because of that,
when tilly's rage and angst towards eva subsided and they became friends tilly does somthing so sweet and selfless i cryed a bucket of tears ( i think there may have been some gilt in there) she took an early train to melbourne and spent a lot of money on oils and spices an other cooking aids for eva, that a lengthy appolagy probably would have been enough, but no she put herself out for somone eles

I DONT KNOW THIS AUTHER but i can say from my first outing with strong hearts i'm a fan
ella green more of this please, please, please

I did not realise, that I should have read strong hearts first, which I didn't. Ellie Green's second one, the one I read first, shows a lot of development. While this is just as sweet, True Hearts'plot is more elaborate nd the character development more interesting as well as more conclusive.

This is not saying, that Strong hearts isn't a good read, just that I liked True Hearts better.

I had enjoyed True Hearts a lot, so I decided to check out this one as well, and while I didn't love it as much, it was still really good and a strong four stars.

This one wasn't as a fanfic like, but it had more of a plot (not that fanfics can't have a lot of plot of course), and the couple itself didn't play with as many tropes as the other book from this author I've read. But this said, Tilly and Eva still have really great chemistry, and you have a bit of conflict and then you get to meet them better and see why they do what they do and see them getting closer is adorable!!!

This is such a cute, light and happy romance and a perfect read for Pride month :D

A very nice read. I read the 2 novels in this series out of order, but it didn't matter; both were separate and excellently done. I do very much recommend these books, and this talented author.

This was a really enjoyable book. Some of the interactions and dialogue of the main characters were truly precious, like how Marnie told Gem that she wanted her to meet her dog. The thing was, Marnie was relationship-shy and she knew her dog had a great sense of others' character.

Both felt almost as nervous as a "meet the parents" situation. It was adorable.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Ellie Green's Strong Hearts is everything I've been looking for. It tells the story of Tilly, a city girl who returns to the small town where she grew up after her employers are arrested for fraud, and Eva, the local pub cook/town handywoman. The pair get off on the wrong foot when Tilly comes back to the family farm—only to find Eva in her bathtub.

The miscommunications abound, not helped by Tilly's position as the person who blew the lid on her former employers' illegal activities, and her brother's push to sell the farm. There are moments when I wanted to shake both women—couldn't they see that they were pushing too hard? And about the wrong things?

Ultimately, though, this is a romance, so of course, it all works out in the end. Tilly and Eva's HEA is perfect for them, with both women making choices that make them happy as individuals as well as a couple. That's what I love about Green's writing; Tilly and Eva are two distinct individuals, who love and support each other, and find a way to achieve both their dreams even when it's hard.

It's a small town romance with a lot of heart to it, and the supporting characters really do bring Tyndall to life. The entire town felt real to me, like I could just walk down the street to the pub for chicken parm, or swing by the cafe for a coffee in the morning. As a small-town girl myself, it was lovely to see that kind of environment reflected, and for the town to be so supporting and welcoming to Tilly and Eva.

This is the 1st book I've read written Ellie Green; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

I received a free copy of this book via booksprout and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.

Short story by a relatively new writer.

Two young woman who each have two different reasons to want to change, either themselves or making a decision to change the lives of others even it would mean hurting someone you care for in friendship way. But making the decision it would mean stopping others from being hurt again.Enjoy!

I really enjoyed this book. The main characters are both likeable and there was just the right balance of tension and backstory / circumstance to make this book an engaging and interesting read.

Give this new author a go!

Hey guys,

First of all, thank you to everyone who has read this book over the last eighteen months. It started as a passion project when I took time out between jobs. I didn't know if anyone would want to read a lesbian romance set in a country town, and I am still amazed when I see your positive comments and reviews.

I'm writing a second book set in Tyndall, the same town as Strong Hearts. The love story is between two new characters, but there are plenty of people from the original book to keep you company.

It's called True Hearts, so if you're interested, please put it in your Want to Read list. It will be released in October 2020.

Thanks again!

'STRONG HEARTS' DID NOT COME CLOSE TO 'TRUE HEARTS.'

It truly was disappointing to the last page of this book! I thought Ellie would continue on with the love story of the first book but it just WAS NOT THERE! IT LOOKS LIKE SHE HAD LOST HER FOCUS ON WHAT THE TWO WOMEN OF HER BOOK WERE ABOUT AND LEFT THE READER WANTING THE 'PASSION' BACK!

SORRY ELLIE, BUT NOT SURE IF I'M WILLING TO WANDER INTO YOUR THIRD BOOK AND TAKING A CHANCE OF BEING DISAPPOINTED AGAIN!

GOOD LUCK TO YOU GETTING YOUR 'FOCUS' BACK!!!

This back to your hometown romance begins with a fun meet-cute and a little animosity. As Tilly and Eva get to know each other as adults the story arc remains mostly low-key. When the financial fraud case that precipitated Tilly's move in the first place reappears towards the end of the story the plot takes a brief turn towards the melodramatic. Overall, a mostly sweet but uneven read.

Reads like a wattpad story

Strong Hearts feels like an amateur writer beginnings. The story is very descriptive 'she goes to the bathroom she comes out' needs a bit of editing as well but it's not necessarily bad

I liked this book and found it a very easy on enjoyable read. A little more depth to the characters would give it more pull, but it's a very fun, easy read with likeable characters.
