It was supposed to be just a fling... But Skye hasn’t been able to forget the sun kissed surfer she spent spring break with five years ago. She never thought she’d see Brianna again—until the woman saunters back into Skye’s life as her hired bodyguard. With murderous drug dealers hunting down Skye and the young boy she swore to protect, the last thing she should do is distract Brianna by confessing her feelings. After all, their fling was never supposed to lead to more... But Brianna’s inner wolf still howls after the woman she walked away from. When she gets a second chance, she’s determined not to let Skye go again. But will Skye accept her when she learns that Brianna is a wolf shifter? The closer Brianna grows to Skye, the less she can bear to lose her again. But with danger surrounding them, Brianna will have to protect Skye with her life to ensure that this time, she doesn’t have to say goodbye.
Paranormal Lesbian Shifter Romance Novella 19,600 words
2.5 Stars. This story was just not as good as the second novella in the series. I was also really disappointed that the ending in this book was so similar to the ending in the second book. While the main storylines were different, the ending felt completely recycled. If this series peaks your interest, I would recommend the second novella over this one. This is currently available on Kindle Unlimited.
We get a Cheetah shifter and a white wolf shifter in the third installment. I did enjoy the short read and I would read another of the author writes one. Again I like the idea behind the story. I think I just need it to be longer so more details and deeper emotions can be brought out in the writing.

I'm not sure this is supposed to be great. I just stumbled into it on KU, jumped right into book 3 (which worked okay). But it was a short and delightful human-shifter read with a gangster threatening a boy both mains care about arc. Not long enough for a four star, but good stuff, and I'll work backwards in the series.
It took five years to find her again and not lose her again.
Brianna 's wolf shared with her that she needed to reconcile with a summer fling. Skye is a pediatric doctor in charge of young boy/man Caleb, who has his foster parents killed because of his former father. Hiring a Security guard brings Brianna and Skye back together. But unbeknownst to anyone Caleb gets angry and turns onto a cheetah! Follow along as the three of them find out about each other. Enjoy!
I enjoyed all three books but this one was nice, the way they supported a kid in need. Young adults, get left behind in the foster system and loved how in this case this kid found two amazing foster families, even if he lost the first ones. I like shape-shifters stories and this was right up my alley, only thing as I've mentioned with the other two... the ending could have been longer, giving us more but I'll take it for these short quick stories.
When a boy is in trouble a nurse acts to protect him leading her back to the one woman she can't forget
As they reunite they learn things about each other and the boy that will change their lives forever
A wolf, a cheetah, and a human walk onto the beach... Find out what happens in this third volume of Hers to Protect... A series full of love and shifters of secrets and lies, quick reads that entertain you the whole way through
A security agency werewolf meets with a client and discovers a the spring break fling from 5 years ago. A woman the wolf could never forget. The woman is the guardian of a 12 year old boy who witness a killing and is being hunted by the murderer. The boy nor the women know he is a shifter about to change for the first time.
I'll be generous and give it four stars even though it could've been a four or five. I really liked this one, it was one of the books I've been wanting to read for a while now and just haven't been able to get around to reading, but I liked the characters a lot. Not all might agree, but I really liked them and I thought they were funny, witty, realistic characters.
If you like lesbian and/or shifter romance, this book will not disappoint. The “Hers to Protect” series is a satisfying read; the only disappointment is that it is not longer. The characters of the current three books are so engaging, one wants to hang out with them much longer. Encourage the authors to give us more, buy and read.9
Brianna, the wolf-shifter meets Skye the nurse for a second chance, plus a teenage-shifter boy that needs protection, the perfect mix for the third book in the series.
We get to see Brianna and Skye re-kindle their relationship after 5 years and teach Caleb about him being a cheetha-shifter.
Love the book, short, sweet and little angst. Love the series as well.
Ms Stark's Hers to Protect world is a great short escape in a world that has shifters. So far, the series has centered around a security agency. I look forward to seeing more diverse characters in this series.
These books are very refreshing short stories. Not really a fan of short stories, but this series has me rethinking short stories. Plan to keep this author in my radar. Off to my next adventure.
