I have had an amazing transformation in my life by switching to a whole food plant-based diet. Eating this way has taken me from a hopeless addict that was over 400 pounds and almost immobile to a thriving, happy, and healthy athlete. My favorite part of this journey is that I have the privilege to help other people realize that this transformation is out there for anyone willing to take their health back. Change is a decision, nothing more. I have never had an interest in writing recipes or teaching cooking classes but I am realizing that is exactly what people need to get started with their own journeys. My recipes are about as simple as you can get with as few ingredients as possible. Life is too amazing to spend the day in the kitchen. I am writing these specifically to help people have easy recipes as they transition to a healthy plant-based lifestyle. My hope is that this will be a guide for someone to see how easy it is to eat simple, cheap, and tasty meals without becoming a chef. It's actually quite easy to make healthy meals on a budget and it's not as time consuming as people think. I hope you enjoy my ideas and I hope they give you the confidence that you can start coming up with your own ideas and recipes that you love.
I just read the Kindle version, and will check it out of the library so I can more easily save the recipes to my computer. What a simple, straightforward and refreshing surprise. This man is doing the work to be super healthy, but he doesn’t love cooking. These recipes are terrific and simple, healthy and easy. I love to cook, but already saw several that would be great for those nights when I need to pull dinner together quickly from my pantry. There are also some enticing appetizer ideas. I may have to whip those up for my next party.
I will be purchasing this book ASAP! So much goodness and a great background story! As a vegan I am always on the prowl for more delicious recipes to try! This book delivers. Only con is that I would love to have it in my cookbook collection and not just digital...bummer. You change to wrong with this book!
These recipes are more "normal" than most WFPB cookbooks and really appealed to me. I have a very extensive recipe library or I probably would have picked more...but I added 10 of these recipes to my meal plan and have made 2 already. They were a bit bland and needed a little extra seasoning for my tastes, but definitely worth playing with to perfect.
Love this book and am proud to follow and support Tim and Heather. Thanks for making this way of eating so easy and straight forward. This second book is just as good as your first one.
I love how simple and quick these recipes are!! I like that you don't need to buy all kinds of unusual items. Normal ingredients for nutrient dense real food.
