This is a short book that shines a light on how Chase and Sasha’s relationship began. Starting from the time Chase exacts revenge for Sasha and his consequent imprisonment, it flashes back to their time together. It’s also lays out how the MC operates as well as the dedication of its members. There’s a tiny bit of a mystery surrounding some drug dealing that leads us to witness Chase’s first real job at cleaning up Emerald Isle.

This is a nice little story that gives the reader more background into not only Chase but the Savage Kings as well. With a fast pace and extreme sizzle between the hero and heroine, I found it to be very enjoyable having already read the first book of the series, Chase. However, I believe you could safely read this one first.

This is the prequel to Chase Fury's gritty and dark story! Payback is a B#tch for the man that hurt his woman! This story focuses on the founders of Savage Kings MC (Deacon) and Chase Fury's prospecting days, his love of his life, Sasha as he is protected by head guards and alliance with TJ while he protects Abe, his cellmate from the skinheads!

Really impressed with this series!

"I've always wanted to do that ever since I saw that movie 300," Abe says with a grin. Remember that scene, where the Spartan kicked that Persian into the pit? I can't believe that worked."

5 gritty stars!

Not even 5% in and the writing style is really grating. Lots of exposition clumsily delivered in awkward conversations. Feels very YA and OTT. Not my thing. Not intrigued enough to continue.

Let's start off by saying that this was our first read by these authors and we really enjoyed it.I am a big MC gene reader junkie so whenever I get a chance to snag a new MC author to feed my addition I do and I am so glad I came across this series as it is so much fun.

I loved the main character's from the onset of the story. Omg ! I fell head over heels myself for Chase with all that dive and determination and those sexy good looks.I have to say I have read a lot of MC romance but, I have never read any as funny as those in this series.

I really enjoyed this story with a blast of Chase's past and his journey on falling in love with his High School girl Sasha. Sasha and Chase were perfect for one another and so much in common and perfect for one another and even with such young love it was clear as day they were soul mates and meant for one another.

I really loved both Sasha and Chase from the onset of meeting them.Sasha was sexy, sassy, vibrant, forward, skilled with cars and had this larger than life personality that was always bubbly.Sasha would make a perfect old lady for an MC member/prospect.

Chase had one of those personalities where he new what he wanted and was determined to make all his dreams and goals in life come true.I loved his infectious personality too as he always seemed happy and driven no matter what was thrown out at him.

I have to say this is one of those sweet heart melting romance reads. The story was fun and as well as heart wrenching and was made up of a great cast of character's that made this a real fun read with all those MC members electric personalities that we throughly enjoyed.

The chemistry and romance between these two was explosive and they were hotter than he** .I would love to say we love the bedroom scenes but this couple seemed to have sex any where but. lol

As much fun as the story was it was tragic as well and my heart hurt for all Chase had to endure at such and early age.The story had all the things that make up a great romance read and keep you interested and for us the story hooked us a drew us in at the very beginning.

Overall I can't tell you how much I loved the book from cover to cover. I had laughed time and time again throughout the story .I also loved the the stories character's and getting to know them and I know the more involved I get in the series I am going to even love them more.

I have to say we love meeting Abe this time around and I know that he and Chase with end up being fast friends as they are two peas in a pod.

lol

I totally recommend this awesome read that goes into our keeper pile to read time and time again.

This was the first time I have read anything by this author! I have been going through a book slump for a little over a month, So I decided hmmmmm I need to find a book to read and see if I can get out of It! Needless to say this book did the trick.

This book was the prelude to the whole series and everyone involved in the MC. The author kept me interested in all the characters that I'll be reading about. I'm definitely wanting more.
The series has it all. Bad boy outlaw biker, girl that takes no shit. And soooo much more.

It's amazing the chance to meet new authors with amazing books. And guess what genre we're talking about??? MC... Of course... I'm addicted to this genre and the more I read... The more I want...
D.B. West is a new author that I had the chance to read a book from when it was cowrited with another author that I know really well. His writing is raw and intense fill of all the good stuff we love...
And it's amazing a book written by a male author. I don't know how to explain it but it's different. A good different...
King's Road is his latest release and tells Chase's story.
But I need to tell you something, I advise you to read The Savage Kings MC series first. This series is cowrited by D.B West and Lane Hart. Trust me... You'll live and love it.
Chase is a member for the Savage King MC and he loves his brothers. But his life isn't the same. After the accident his life changed for the worst. He's alone, incomplete and is focused on getting revenge...
So good. So perfect. So intense.
Perfect plot, super engaging, detailed and intense.
It was amazing to discover how everything started. Why he is the way he is.
It was perfect to know theses two love birds biginings.
I had some questions but after this book all of them were answered.
The interaction between the characters is so sweet and wild at the same time.
But it was also amazing to find out a bit more about Chance and Abe's friendship.
When I ended this book I wanted to read Chase again. I needed to so guess...
Amazing DB. Perfect and I can't wait for more.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is a wonderful prequel for the Savage King's series. This provides a very entertaining in-depth look at the start of Chase & Sasha's relationship, what sends Chase down the path he choses and how Chase and Abe meet. This is a great read for fans of the series because it gives many more details and adds a richness to the series and it is a perfect place to start for new readers to get that first taste and lay the groundwork for the series. This is my honest, voluntary review.

Great prequel

This was an introduction to the world of the Savage Kings MC. Most of the story is told in flashbacks by Chase Fury. He is telling his new cellmate about his life prospecting for the club. We find out why Chase is locked up. I can't wait to read the full story. Really enjoyed this book

i read this prequel as part of an arc program. This is a flashback to the Savage Kings MC series and tells the story of Chase and how he met Abe in jail and how he tells him about Sasha and prospecting for the Savage Kings MC. When we start this story, Chase is in jail and meets his new cellmate Abe. When Abe asks Chase about his tattoo on his back, the Savage Kings MC logo, Chase explains about belonging to the club. Chase tells about how his uncle Deacon gave him his cut when he turned 18 and started prospecting. Chase met Sasha in shop class at school and soon they were together whenever Chase wasn't at the club. Chase worked for the club at the scrap yard and with the towing. This is the story of how Chase and Sasha fell in love and how Chase became a member of the club. Chase asks Abe if he is interested in joining the club and soon Deacon comes to visit them. I loved reading about Sasha and Chase, they were so in love and so good together. I love this series and this was a good look at a younger Chase. Good one.

So this is just an appetiser to the main course. A series about a motorcycle gang. It also introduces us to a few members....

Chase has business with the man who took away the only woman he loved! A motor accident leaves Sasha gone and a heartbroken Chase.
So biding his time until the scumbag gets out of prison Chase tries to live his life.
But revenge has always been uppermost in his mind, handing his “cut” to his “pres” he’s off to get answers and a little revenge.

All he wanted was answers, but when the lowlife said he had no remorse and was glad it was only a biker and his junkie girlfriend, Chase lost it! Sasha was never a junkie, and she’d left his life, so he was without her! So the idiot got a beating!!
In prison serving time for the beat down he gave to the guy, Chase meets Abe.
We then have a trip down memory Lane.....

Short, and concise, it could have been added as a prologue to Chase’s actual book, but it’s great to meet up with a few characters.
It’s only wetted my appetite for more......

I love reading romance books but ones that feature the following of an MC and the amazing men in the club, yes please. Especially when the story line is designed to hook, line and sink you from the first to the last page. I really enjoyed the unique way the author wrote this book with it starting out with Chase leaving the MC in search of revenge and the story truly unfolding as Chase goes back in time and is talking with his cellmate, Abe about the MC and of course we get to be in on the meeting of Sasha and how she becomes Chase's world, at least until she is removed from it. This is a great read and a great story line to kick off the series. I am hooked.

I love this series and was really excited when I found this prequel. However I am really disappointed. It is no where near as good as the savage kings series. So if you are like me and choose your books because you really like the style of the author please done be out off reading this series. I highly recommend them

Kings's Road is the prequel to the Savage Kings MC series. I had read Chase first and this story takes place 6 years earlier but also looks back to where his and Sasha's story began in 2008 during their senior year of high school. Chase met Abe in prison in 2012. They find an easy friendship and wants Abe to join the Kings when he is released from prison. Chase tells him how he joined his uncle's MC but also thinks back to the happy time that he had with Sasha before everything ended between them. I enjoyed this look back and it answered some of the questions that I wondered about. If you can start the series here, I recommend doing so. It's a good novella and it will make you want to read what happens to the MC members.

Great background that provides some insight into Chase - highly recommend this series!

Written for mature readers only (18+ years old) due to subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, adult intimate scenes and violence.

This is the prologue about Chase, Sasha and the start of the Savage Kong’s MC series. I highly recommend reading it before any of the series, but it can be read anytime during the series.

I started reading the series long before this was originally published. Now this has me wanting to go back and revisit the series ....

Great background that provides some insight to Chase and how he met and brought Abe into the MC.

I have really enjoyed reading these MC books and King's Road by Lane Hart and DB West was no exception.

Chase and Sasha were such a great couple to read about. You can really just tell that they are destined to be together, but their journey to a HEA is NOT an easy one in the least. It broke my heart to read about how much Chase had been through, even at such an early age. I was so drawn to him and just wanted things to work out.

The chemistry between both characters was also OFF THE CHARTS HOT. Whew. These two couldn't get enough of each other.

Definitely recommend this book. It was a great introduction to the Savage Kings. You will thoroughly enjoy this one!

After having read most of the stories in the series, I thought it was great being able to read this prequel to see how it all began. One of the stories I haven't read yet is Chase's. I will definitely be going back and reading that one as soon as I get a chance. I really enjoyed this look into the early years of the MC and would definitely recommend reading this one, along with the rest.

King’s Road is a great book about Chase Fury by the talented authors Hart and West. This is the back story that will introduce you to two great characters Chase and Sasha and the story that developes around them. This is when Chase was younger and a prospect and how he became the hardened King. This was a well written story that has drama, suspense a touch of mystery and definitely some passion. I absolutely recommend this great book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a long awaited story! I loved reading about Chase when he had his own book but it only gave us a glimpse into how he met and lost the love of his life and her we get to see their beginning. I also found it very fascinating to see how Abe came to be a Savage King and was surprised at how Chase and Abe came to meet. This pair of authors have been n my TBR list from the first book of theirs I read and I eagerly await each new release. Make a note to read any and every book they publish!

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.

In the early days of the Savage Kings MC, Chase tells the story of how he came to be prospecting for the Kings at 18. Although the story is Chase and Sasha's, we see a bit of the relationship with his Uncle Deacon, as well as the first meeting between Chase and Abe. It's a great novella with glimpses of the past and what to expect when you join the Savage Kings MC. Great backstory in the Savage Kings MC history, I received a copy from Booksprout, with a review that is voluntary on my part. 4.25 Stars!

This is Book 0 in the Savage Kings MC. Chase is in prison and starts reminiscing about how he started prospecting for the MC. It’s a brief story detailing how the MC was founded and how Chase meets Sasha. It’s written really well and if you love the Savage Kings, you will definitely love reading this book. It tells how Chase and Abe became friends. You just need to read it and learn all about the Savage Kings.

This book features Chase and Sasha. This is their beginning until the pause in their life. The beginning was picture perfect until fate stepped in and change it all. We also get to know Deacon a little bit better.
As always, the writing is excellent! The story is from the past and helps us understand Chase a little better. I’m not gonna lie, I shed some tears at the end. I can’t wait to read more of this amazing series!

This prequel to the Savage Kings sets up the storyline very nicely and ends in a way that'll having you wanting to read more. This read weaves a brief story about the Savage Kings with a specific focus on Chase which in turn will help to understand the back story before actually starting the first book in this series. A very well written storyline with great characters that'll grow on you. A definite read.

Dull

I had no desire to continue to read this book.
Things happened, got to know the characters, learn the history...
But it was so easy to put down and walk away from.
Sometimes it was a bit confusing separating the characters or trying to figure out if I was in the past or present, usually the past. It took a minute to figure out who was Chase vs Fury - oh, same person. Reece vs Robbie - different people.
I just don't care enough to try any anymore or the series.
