Saving her was easy. Protecting her will be hell.
Women see me in uniform and automatically drool.
I’m the type of guy they put on their calendars and stare at while getting off to the month of July--coincidentally the hottest month of the year.
But this frustratingly hot-a$s girl won’t even purchase the calendar, let alone give it a second glance.
I saved her life and she’s looking at me like I’m a kid who got caught playing dress-up in Daddy’s uniform.
Weird thing is, I kind of like it.
I’m getting pleasure out of fighting for her while also watching her squirm and deny her attraction to me.
Plus the prize always tastes sweeter when it’s hard-won… and something tells me those curves are sweet as they come.
Problem is, the fire I pulled her from was deliberately lit.
Someone wants her dead, but I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe.
Even it means watching the world burn.

Pass the water, ’cause it’s about to get HOT in here! Hot Pants is a full length, standalone bad boy romance where the nights really are on fire. There’s no cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed HEA.

The foundation for any romance is to have likable characters and the focus to be on THEM. If a book opens with Hero f**king OP (2 in fact @ same time), your readers will likely not give a f**k about them or root for their happy ending. I mean, really - what is this fascination with Authors to start every damn chapter(s) with Heroes screwing others? Or make them into Manhos? Man sluts in fictional reads, as in real life, are disgusting! This book started & ended with page 1 with me giving it the middle finger & an FU because I am pretty sure the words "romance" & "love" is not inclusive in stories like this....

"Hero" sounds like a disgusting pig (see Amazon's sample)! The blurb should read 'pass the bucket because I'm about to puke.' There's nothing hot about a guy who can't remember the names of the girls (yes plural) in his bed while degrading them in his head.

This type of opening is utterly counter-productive in a "romance" where the goal is to connect with the H & h as a couple.

Derek and Beth’s story is an outright thriller. It kept me on the edge from the first to the last page. It’s captivating and fast paced. There are so many twists and turns that my poor head was spinning at times.
I liked the evolution of the characters as they faced one problem after another and the way they all mastered it.
I liked this story though I have read better ones by this talented author!

HOT PANTS IS A SUPERIOR MUST READ ROMANCE.

I'm a fan of Teagan Kade for so many reasons and if you've never had the pleasure to read her work... that is a shame. Only kidding. Seriously addictive release, right here here in this superbly crafted storyline and realistic characters. Derek is used to getting what he wants and Beth does not succumb to his charms, and trust me, that just makes him want her even more. His lust is like a need, he is 'jonesing' for this woman who won't give him the time of day even though he saved her? Or will she? Everyone craves what they can't have or can he? This Playboy has certainly met his match. There is no easy path to take to get to their happily ever after, because something else also wants to get to Beth... The Truth. Derek will stop at nothing to get what he wants and that is her, happy and with him, enjoying a very hard won happily ever after. Their journey, to me was riveting. I truly enjoyed reading this book and couldn't put it down.

I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Hot Pants in exchange for my honest/voluntarily given opinion and I highly recommend reading this book as well as anything written by Teagan Kade. I am now impatiently awaiting the next release.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Beth, a young woman who was rescued from a fire by Derek, a fireman who is known for his playboy ways. Beth's house was set on fire and when the police start to question her about the fire, Beth starts to panic that her secrets will be revealed. When Beth was rescued, she begged Derek to go back to get a letter from her mother. Derek gets the letter and thinks that it will earn him points when he tries to get Beth in his bed. Derek is very cocky and arrogant. He thinks because he is a fireman, woman throw themselves at him. When Beth doesn't seem to fall for his charms, Derek wants her even more. Beth finds Derek attractive and thinks she might be able to learn information about the investigation of the fire, but she doesn't count on developing feelings for him. Derek starts to really care for Beth and he wants to keep her safe and protect her from whoever set the fire, he also starts to care for her, but when he learns Beth's secrets, it could destroy them. I really enjoyed this book. I liked Derek, even if he was arrogant. Beth saw the real Derek, the side of himself he hid from everyone. Good one.

This was a good book! I cried more than I laughed. It was more of a OMG that really happened or I can't believe that.

I wasn't happy on the introduction of Derek. Derek is the firefighter who always runs into burning buildings to save the damsel in distress. When runs into save Beth he can tell she is different from other he has saved. Beth can feel Derek is different too, from what her "friend" has described him. We never get anymore about Beth's "friend" Anna. I wished Beth would have come clean to Officer Brady. It would have meant Derek wouldn't have had to lie and that be on his conscience. Beth's mother had no intention of being a loving mother. It was nice to see Chief Hardy acting like the fatherly type to Derek. I only wish Beth would donate her insurance claim, maybe to a firefighter organization. Travis got his punishment which is what he deserved. I was happy to see Beth get her happy ending.

In the epilogue it was nice to see they were married and finally got a puppy. It was also a nice surprise what Derek pulled off in the end, only to have Beth have a surprise of her own!!

An absolutely wonderful read. This story was so hot and captures your attention from the very beginning. Derek is a firefighter who starts off like a man who gets what he wants and has no problem using his profession to help him win the ladies over Beth is a woman who just wants to help her mother and is caught up in a bad situation. They meet when Derek ends up saving her from a house fire she is trapped in. Derek thinks Beth is like other women and will fall for him easily. Well, he is in for a rude awakening. Beth is very different from other women and it seems Derek will have his work cut out for him. Derek figures out very quickly that Beth is worth the effort. And he wants to protect her from all that she is going through. This is by far one of Teagan's hottest book and it pulled my in from the very beginning. The chemistry between Derek and Beth is a five alarm fire. Good thing he is able to handle the heat! I loved the HEA!

I have read and reviewed many of Teagan Kade's books and they are all exceptional stories. “Hot Pants” is quite a unique, entertaining story and not what I expected. Derek is a handsome, hot, sexy firefighter and also a player. Beth is a beautiful confused desperate woman. They meet when Derek rescues her from a fire in her home. Derek is instantly attracted to Beth but Beth refuses to succumb to his charms. This just makes Beth more of a challenge to Derek. Beth has a terrible secret and is afraid she will be arrested for something stupid she did. This well-written book is dramatic, intriguing, sexy, passionate and romantic and kept me captive until the end. The superb writing and complex characters make this emotional story a pleasure to read.

When playboy, all around cocky firefighter Derek saves Beth from a house fire, he expects her to be falling at his feet grateful like everyone else usually is.
When she reads him the riot act, he's annoyed, and intrigued!
Ready to pull out all the charismatic stops, he uses his kindness, and his position to his advantage to get the feisty women to go out with him.
What he doesn't know is, she has ulterior motives as well!
Could the Casanova of the firehouse be in over his head? Or is this the start of something hot and wonderful for them both?
Wow!
Teagan Kade pulled out all the stops with her latest sexy, heat-filled romance!
Suspense, secrets, lies, scorching hot scenes and plenty of emotional turmoil are wrapped up in a fast flowing storyline with strong characters; once I started I couldn't put it down!
Loved it!!

Teagan Kade threw a twist right from the start, so well done for that. I didn't like what Beth did, so lost a star for that. I understand why she did it, family and all. In my opinion Beth could have thought of another way of helping her mom. I liked Beth's strength and how she got out of her bad upbringing. I also understood her wanting to connect at some level with her mom, even though she was ungrateful. I didn't like Derek at first he was your typical alpha male jerk. He did redeem himself at the end. I appreciated his loyalty, and strength. Teagan Kade had my attention from start to finish. I found this book to be fun, entertaining and full of action. I did find things very ironic with Derek and Beth's integrity in question. This was not my favorite Teagan Kade book, I did finding myself rooting for Beth. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader's copy.

This is definitely not my most favorite story by Ms. Kade. That being said, I liked it BECAUSE it was something a "little" different by her. Different can be good. By making the story-line and characters so that you either love or hate them, you find yourself "vested" in the book. I'll admit that I didn't love Derek in the beginning but he redeemed himself before the end. Beth will never be my favorite heroine but that's okay. Will this one go on the "keeper shelf"? Yes. Do I recommend it? Yes. Will I continue to look for books by this author? You bet!!

This one was a little different. Derek the firefighter has no problem finding a lady to keep him company. While doesn't love a firefighter? My problem with him was I found him a little over the top in arrogance and vanity. He saves Beth from a fire and is confused when she rejects his advances. However she also has her own motive for wanting to get close to him.

I liked the story within the story, a little bit of mystery and mayhem and a few good twists and turns towards the end kept me entertained throughout. I struggled to fall in love with these characters but they definitely had a very interesting story to be told. I recieved an ARC and this is my honest review.

This was a good read. It was different from other Teagan’s books, but still good. Derek is a firemen and a player. He is the hit it, and quit guy. On his most recent house fire he saves Beth. Beth recognizes him and won’t let him get into her pants. She ends up going to his place since she can’t go to hers. Derek is feeling things he has never felt for any woman. He wants to be there for Beth and keep her safe. This about two people who have walls put around them and those walls start to crumble. There are secrets, lies, truths revealed and some twists and turns. These two have such an amazing connection and their chemistry is sizzling hot. Watch two people open up themselves to love.

Derek was a womanizer who took his job as a firefighter seriously since it ran deep in his blood. Beth was a woman he saved from a burning house who knew exactly the type of man he was. Beth brought her own brand of crazy to the table that Derek's co-workers tried to warn him about. Beth tried to get out of a disaster of her own making by confessing but it was too late without severe consequences. By the time Derek realized his co-workers were right, he was already in love with Beth. I laughed at the idiocy of Travis.

Excellent playboy firefighter romance with suspense, intrigue and steamy moments. The blurb give readers an idea of what the story’s about but there is so much more to the book. Beth has overcome a hard life in trailer parks with her mother who didn’t look out for her. Derek is an outstanding playboy fireman who spends just a night with a woman. Ms. Kade did a wonderful job describing the background of both main characters as well as the storyline. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. This book is also part of the American Heroes box set.

When I read the preview for this book I really thought it was going to be one of those save the day hero books but let me tell you what it definitely was NOT. This was the most misleading preview for a book ice ever read. I mean I shouldn't have even entertained reading it based off of the first chaptrer opening up to a threesome. But I powered through skipping over the sex scenes in the book and was really really disappointed. Tgere are no heroes in this book. Just slimey manipulating main characters .

Oh my sweet baby jesus🔥🔥

This was hot af book I just read...mercy💦. This book needs to come with a warning sign "Caution may cause combustion" I've read several of Teagan's book's and I swear the heat level in them goes higher each time.
I think she raises the level in every book and this one is no different right from the beginning to the end. I'd definitely recommend reading this lil hot jewel.

This is just my opinion and my review

To all women, Derek is just one hot firefighter until he meets her....Beth.
After being rescued from her home, Beth cannot believe how hot her rescuer is. Problem is she has a secret...she started the fire. Now the fun begins.
By what she did it causes trouble, mayhem, danger and so much more. Derek is a true hero plus he loves Beth and will protect her.
A brilliant story once again by Teagan , well done

Derek is a cocky fire-fighter and playboy, who is intrigued with the feisty Beth after he rescues her from a house fire and does not get the usual response from her as he does with other women. This is a well written story which is dark, steamy, and filled with emotion, suspense, secrets, lies, and twists, which all had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more form this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all.

I normally love Teagan Kade's books but this one was just okay for me. I didn't like Derek very much at the beginning. He was too full of himself but at least he grew on me. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for Beth who pretty much left me cold. This book never touched me emotionally. I don't feel the plot or the writing was up to Ms. Kade's usual standards.

As an avid fan of Ms. Kade's work, I can report with the utmost pleasure that she has once again managed to produce a delicious package. Throwing in a curve ball right in the beginning, Ms. Kade delivers a well-thought-out storyline with a difference and well-developed characters that keep you turning page after page, greedily, until the end of the book. Definitely not your "run-of-the-mill" romance, what with all the action and suspense.

POOR READ

First time reading this author. On the plus side, there is enough suspense and intrigue embedded in the storyline to make this story readable. However, there is also too much sex and garbage added that detracts from any readable entertainment value. Since this is a new author for me, will try a second book to see if my opinion changes. Otherwise this author will go on my do not read list.

Very weak story

I’m surprised this author didn’t use any authentic police procedures, or authentic roles of fire departments. That led to sloppy writing. While this is a fictional story, it is the authors job to research her characters jobs and what those entail. Speaking of jobs, we never learned what Beth did for work. It was repeated that she had a great job with great pay. Doing what? Not worth the read.

Hot Pants by Teagan Kade a five-star read that will set you alight. Once again Teagan Kade sets a great story and pulls you in to twist you up and spit you out again, Beth and Derek have great chemistry, they each have a perception of the other and as you read you see more of them than shows on the surface, as you get to know them I’m sure much like me you will fall for their heat.

Can you say arrogant? You definitely will, a lot, when you meet Derek. Cocky and arrogant are perfect descriptions from page one for this firefighter. Though you get to see other sides to him, and a gradual change as you read on. All due to a misguided woman named Beth, who he saved from a fire. Things aren’t easy with investigations and secrets, but the ride is definitely a sexy one
