I was genuinely surprised and delighted that I took a chance on the second book of this Series. I read the first book and wasn't impressed with it at all. But this one was just so enjoyable, I thought that the characters were much more fleshed out and seemed like the storyline is becoming more thought out. So keep up the Good work, Marco.
I like it more than the first one and I didn't think that was possible. Hope to see a lot more from this author and I love the cover art as it is don't change a thing..
Action galore in this the 2nd book.Epic in scale with plenty of battles and more carnage than any online game. Strong charachters and a well crafted vision of a world in peril.
Don't like it 1. Cliffhanger are evil...and both books end with it 2. For a northlander (i was hoping for a strong willed badass warrior) our mc is kinda weak and dumb (easily steered and can't decide what he wants) 3. By the end of book 2 what he achieved in book one is for nothing, if it's going with this pattern, it'll be a pointless loop
Still the same quality that the previous one, good action, decent pacing and interesting new character. The little contrast is that the story focus on a simple character, Rothan is a warrior born and breed to it, but in the background we feel it building into a 'kingdom building' series, which for this guy doesn't fit. Either way so far it’s been a good read.
