Oh dear. Expected to hate this and ended up loving it. I like that it’s from the MC H’s POV and not the isekai’d character’s. She’s a bit silly, but not in a bad way. I can see why others are taken with her.
5, is the next one out yet, stars.

super cute, loved that it was from the Prince's POV... and the fact that he has fallen HARD for her but I think I'm stopping here. It didn't really pull me in, and I was kinda bored. Cute concept tho! The female lead is kinda silly. Artwork is gorgeous. Might pick it back up in future!
The art style is a bit funky, but the plotline is very enjoyable. This manga follows a young girl who has been reincarnated into a story she enjoyed in her past life. As per usual, she's not reincarnated into the mc, or even a side character, but rather that of the villain who tries everything to keep her fiancée by her side by punishing the main heroine and ultimately ends up.
Despite her love for her fiancee, she has decided to take matters into her own hands to ensure his ultimate happiness by doing everything in her power to ensure the story follows through. However, her fiancee has other plans, to ensure that she stays his.
I especially love the light thriller feature of how the prince almost feels a bit yandere. But perhaps that's just my perspectives.
My finger slipped but I don’t care, I’m in happy place right now finally owning my favourites. This is one of my favourite Isekai villainess stories, namely because of its uniqueness. This is from the POV of the male lead.
I liked Bertia, she’s adorable with her naivety. Her attempts to play the villainess are amusing and I like how everyone gathers around her.
Ceil took some getting used to, but it’s fun watching him effortlessly continue the plot along with ease. He’s an OP character. The supporting characters are interesting as well. Great fun.

OMG, this was just SO SO much fun! I love that it is from the POV from the prince who is engaged to the (trying her bestie) villainess (isekaied girl who is desperately trying to get the events in the game to go but yeah..). I was just laughing so much and I adore all the characters. The scheming prince who is smug and fun. The girl trying to be villainess who is just delightfully deredere and falling hard for the prince. I love seeing them grow up and now it is time for the academy part! The art was also so much fun and oh yes, I cannot forget all the great side characters (her fanclub was just fab as well). I need to read on!
This is the third manga series that I initially passed up since it initially didn't interest me based on what I read from the blurb. The first two were The Accomplishments of the Duke's Daughter and This Time, I Will Definitely Be Happy.
But all three of them surpassed my expectations.
Is this a trend with me that the ones I passed up -initially but the readers' comments were really, really favorable- turn out to be the best ones out there?
Ever since I dived into the whole reincarnated-as-the-villainess-in-a-story/otome game- genre, I've been fervently wishing for an initial main LI who would side with the villainess. You know, that LI who's supposed to annul the engagement between him and the fiancee in favor of the story heroine.
I really, really wanted that love interest.
When I opened the first volume of this series, I didn't have high hopes. I did note that it was refreshing to have the POV from the LI. As I chugged along, and shaking my head, frustrated at Bertia's adamant adherence to the "plot", I began to side with the main POV character and just root for what he does and think.

The light novels are already finished but I won't spoil myself and just keep on reading the manga.
P.S. I like the illustrator of the light novels, 八美☆わん's depiction of the heroine more than the one in the manga.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Most protagonists who remember their past life and realize that they're currently a villainess will try to change their fate. They usually try to avoid their bad ending or try to become the new heroine. Instead, Bertia tries her hardest to be the BEST villainess and doesn't realize that everything went downhill from the moment she told her bored, intelligent fiancé, the crown prince lmao.
I loved that this was told from Cecil's POV because Bertia's POV would have been a completely different story. Every "mean" thing she did would seem true, but from Cecil's POV, you can see that she's actually a very kind, if oblivious and reckless, girl.
Seeing Bertia try her best to get the plot in the right direction only to be foiled or sidestepped by Cecil's immaculate planning was hilarious. Their interactions together were cute, and Cecil's character growth was great.
Love Kuro and Zeno as well as all of the side characters! You can see just how popular and kind Bertia really is by the people she surrounds herself.
The art took a bit to get used to, but it definitely improved as the volumes continued.
Definitely recommend if you're looking for a different twist from your usual villainess protagonist!
I- don't quite know how to put my feelings into words.
On the one hand, I liked that the series was from Prince Cecil's (the hero) point of view, because then it made all his fiancee's proclamations of being a villainess all the more amusing. I liked that Prince Cecil himself was more devilish than she was!
Further, I liked that despite Bertia's machinations early on, to ensure that she continues to be a villainess, I found it a little tedious towards the end .
I think that by the end of the read, there was way too much silliness going on, that things weren't all that enjoyable to read.
An easy read. I binge-read this in about ~5-6hrs. I absuluty love this book and already started the second series.
This is not the book for you if you want an award winning, life-changing story but it is for you if you want a cute little story to read.
Finally, When i started this series, I thought the story would be told from the main girl's prospective, instead its from the Crowned prince's. I actually adore this change of pace but i felt some might want to know it before they read. the only other warning i'd give is the main character is airheaded (its kinda the main point of a lot of the story), it didn't bother me at all but dont expect her to suddenly become a mastermind.
It’s been so so so so long since I’ve read any manga, maybe I feel too old for it or wanted to read more high brow things but I’m so glad I gave myself this guilty pleasure.
I read the entire manga in a few hours and it was adorable. The plot was hilarious. A typical “reincarnated into a game” plot where the female lead is reincarnated as the villainess and tries to break her engagement with the main character by following the route as per the video game. She tries hard to be the best antagonist she can (she fails and everyone loves her - especially the male lead). I liked that it gets rid of the reverse harem trope as well.
Thankful for the random YouTube short that made me intrigued by this manga (soon to be anime).
Slightly different from the usual Isekai but I am eating it up . Lober Bertia for her humour and my favourite character are Bertia's father and Zeno they are hilarious.Cecil at first found Bertia amusing but now he is head over heels for her and he doesn't know this . Can't wait to read more , especially Cecil describing the "fated maiden " was chef's kiss
Another series, I really wish would be translated and available to buy here in the states. Loved the story it made me chuckle more than a few times. Recommended? Yes Buy/Borrow? Moot point, not available for sale here in the US.
I enjoyed this manga for subverting some tropes in the genre. It’s refreshing and amusing. I love that the manga is from the male lead’s perspective. But I love the female lead the most: she’s straightforward, dumb, and sweet - but pretends to be evil.
Idiots from top to bottom in the best way. Seriously, this one has it all: isekai light novel shenanigans, obsession with the 'plot', mischief, romance, and every single character is a full blast weirdo. I'm not saying it's the best of the 'villainess' manga, but it just might be my favorite.
This poor prince. Reincarnators are such a handful. Still, at least Bertia is helpful. Looking forward to Cecil rebuffing the so called heroine. And a loving relationship with Bertia.
The cunningness of Cecil and cluelessness of Bertia matches so well, I laughed a lot reading this. The setting, plot and characters differ from other otome-game-turn-isekai stories so it was interesting
I laughed out loud more than once! There are a lot of times where the Japanese gets pretty tricky and I have to bust out my dictionary more than once on a single page, but that didn't hinder my reading enjoyment at all.
