Graphite: The Carbon Series Book 2

Rate this book
The Duke now has his son so the Carbon Estate can rest easy. Except for that line in the marriage contract he signed. The line that said he will be sentenced to death if his wife leaves him. Callum’s days are numbered and he has to come to terms with he won’t live to see his son become a man. But neither will Mag. When she becomes a pawn on the Carbon chessboard, pieces will fall, including her if she’s not careful. Money buys treachery and his Great Grandmother will take down every player on her board that isn’t an asset to the Carbons. No matter who they are. Fatherhood may have changed Callum, but he’ll never be the man Mag needs. It’s not too late to protect his family before he’s sentenced to death, but unwilling and spiteful, Mag makes the task harder than he planned for. Bargains are made, lives are ruined, but the Duchess will be safe. Even if it’s against her will. Love is unforgiving, even for Callum Carbon.

Graphite / The Carbon Series Book 2

2nd re-read 17/05/2021

4 💔😳💔😳💔😳💔🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟s❗️❗️❗️❣️❗️

Callum and Mag’s relationship was utterly toxic and complex.

“We're well beyond normal in this situation, Magdelena.” Callum

The plot took a different and so unexpected course, the twists and turns were unpredictable and I thought I was losing my sanity!

Callum almost never deviated from being an arsehole, didn’t grovel for his behaviour and his actions spoke louder than words. He was the kind of ‘take it or leave it’.

Mag was not a greatly feisty heroine, but she had to make choices according to what she was given.
I didn’t condone some of them, but I don’t completely blame her either. The only thing she wanted was to be loved and cared.

“I hate myself for being this damaged for him.” Mag

I know I am being vague, but I do not want to spoiler something...
I wasn’t happy with Adelaide’s origin and a couple of parts could have been better developed.

I am aware that this duet might not work for some readers, yet it was one of my favourites and Callum is definitely a hero that I love to hate!

It was My Pleasure H.Q. Frost❣️

I have run out of words, I am speechless...
The direction of this story was astounding!!!
I will not spoil anything, you just have to read it and better be prepared for a new beyond-the-limits rollercoaster.
The character of Callum is exceptional, impressive and unforgettable!
Madam Dude/Mag found herself in a toxic environment but managed in the long term to pull through after all these turmoil twists.
The story of Callum and Mag is solidly mind blowing and monumental❣️
This duet was epic!!!!

H.Q. Frost it was my greatest pleasure to read this duet. Thank you ❤️

Unputdownable.

I don't stand a chance when it comes to Callum. He's infected me with a poison I will die from one day. But I choose to be at his side through his life and death.
Yes girl, from your fantasies with him strangling you when he gives you an orgasm, we got that.

And I wanted to hate the h because she was such a mess, she needed help like yesterday, as in psychiatric treatment FOR LIFE. Because he was the same psychopath from the first book but way worse, but she was starving for the drama, for him. And I'm seeking help because this is probably a trash book for some but it was pure bliss for me.

I wanted to, but I couldn't hate her. I couldn't hate him. I couldn't hate this book. Just all the love for H Q Frost. Probably never reading it again because I'm afraid I will discover this was a rubbish book, but it was puurrrfect.

Oh my God. I'm sitting here wondering what the heck did I just read. I mean there were so many times I wanted to scream and yell at H.Q. Frost for all the damn twist and turns she throughs out there. I don't know how much more my heart could have taken when it comes to the love of Callum and Mag. Ugh....that evil woman that calls herself the head of the Carbon family....don't get me started on that. I love how deep and somewhat toxic the love goes between Callum and Mag. These two are made for each other even when they are being used in some twisted way. Oh the ending gave me such a hangover I'm not sure I can function the rest of the day now. I simply love what Frost brought and I'm left wondering what she has in stored for Poppy's story now. This is such an indescribable fantastically amazing read. GO ONE CLICK THIS ONE AND HOLD ON FOR THE RIDE THAT IS CALLUM AND MAG.

I was right. I was right. I was right!!!!

H.Q. Frost is a total sadist. She preys on the inquiring minds of her readers. She teases us with potential pleasure and then hooks us up (unknowingly) to a car battery while we are standing in a pool of water. Total sadist. What's worse is she is an emotional sadist!

Yes beware readers! H.Q. Frost is going to take your happy, healthy, naive self and twist you so badly that you say thank you when she shanks you. (Not an exaggeration- I can show you the scars! *rolls eyes* okay, so it's more emotional scarring! You get the point though!)

Graphite is more mind f@ck than Diamond. If Diamond was twisted than Graphite is an entire warehouse filled with fun house mirrors and unseen razor blades meant to slice you at every turn. Not to end your suffering, no, little knicks that burn and bleed and leave you susceptible to further agony. Are you questioning my sanity now? Good.

Read Graphite and see if you disagree! 😂 It's perfect and yet everything I couldn't possibly have processed or imagined. This runaway crazy train has left the rails, the station, and the crash is beautiful in its destruction.

I can’t think of one word that describes this series more than perfection. It’s the most amazing rollercoaster ride ever written. I have loved both books in the series so far and can not wait until the next is ready. If you haven’t had a chance to do so yet, get them and start reading this is definitely a series you don’t want to miss💜

Just wow!! The mindf#$k that started in Diamond, continues in Graphite. It's one hell of a crazy ride. Callum is back to turn Magdalena's life upside down again. So many twists your head doesn't stop spinning. I devoured this book in hours and can't wait to see what's in store for the children when they grow up.

Wow. THIS BOOK! You will continue on the roller coaster that was book 1 with Callum and Mag. I do have to admit when I started, I was a little confused at what point I was coming into it but then it all came crashing back at me... I love Callum and Mag together and while they have the most unconventional of relationships and the way that they fall in love, they really are just meant for one another. Callum's grandmother is one sick bi*ch and she keeps it coming throughout the story, but Callum this time has her almost beat! I was so sad the way the book ended... or so I thought! You definitely want to make sure you read this all the way through to the final page! Don't skim, don't skip the epilogue. Don't miss a thing! Frost, thanks for a fantastic conclusion!

Ahhhh this series just keeps getting better!!!

So many WTF moments. So many steaming hot moments! So many rip your hair out and throw your phone/Kindle/book etc moments!! I wish I could stop there but there are so many sad moments and “awww” moments too. This story is a combination of every feeling you could possibly have! Don’t worry though. As fast as Frost rips you apart; she puts you right back together again and leaves you satisfied to the point that you’ll ask her to do it again!

This story is amazing and unique and I’m dying to know how their story is going to end!

A destructive ending!

Callum and Mag’s destructive romance continues with more surprises that will have you at the edge of your seat. Callum’s character is still one you can’t help but hate and yet love when you witness the lengths he goes through to get his HEA. An enjoyable and entertains romance read that doesn’t disappoint.

I wanted to beat Callum over the head so many times. Stubborn, arrogant, and oh so sexy. Mags was frustrating, independent and so damn sad. The craziness of the Carbon family is beyond the pale which makes the story even more delicious. I devoured this book and desperately wanted for more. This duet crazy good!

I waited with bated breath for this book. When I finally read it... Neither was I happy or dissapointed. It was such a roller-coaster of emotions that I just couldn't wait to get to the end. I guess I'm kind of old-fashioned when it comes to my books... There are parts that I didn't particularly like in this one... All in all it was a good read, not as great as the first one though...!

Wait. What? How is it that every single time I read a book by Frost my mind ends up feeling even more effed? Because this girl is like the queen of mind effs and I’m the damn pawn.
I can’t wait to see what is next for the Carbons.

This book was a joke. It was horrible terrible. Writing, dialogs, plot, twists. All of them were terrible. I wanted to throw up. But God it was crazy. No sane person can write such a piece of shit. That’s why the five stars. Insane. This is a production of a disturbed mind.
