A fan written novel that adds lots of depth to the rushed and muddled narrative of the comic series Dark Empire. It's really well written, but took me out of the story lots of times with the writer's impulses to include modern naval terminology and other strange turns of phrases that you would never ever see in a Star Wars novel, like describing a rebel defeat as a "curb-stomping". LOL

Solid story! Good adaptation of Dark Empire and does a good job of including Lore from the prequels and the EU material.
