Bonded. Kidnapped. Attacked. What just freaking happened? Since I jumped into an Uber full of hot men, I’ve discovered I am this fated Mazza that was revered and feared among the Fennin people. Bonded, kidnapped and attacked. I’m navigating a new world with enemies everywhere, and everyone is suspect. This isn’t exactly the life I saw for myself, but I can’t quite bring myself to regret it. Now my Lusty Legion and I are heading into Fennina to discover exactly who is behind the mysterious attacks. Only, there’s no evidence; only dead ends. To keep everyone safe, I need to complete my bonds. The one thing I’m asking for myself is that my bonds be formed out of love. But what happens when that may not be an option anymore? To keep everyone safe, I just might have to bond out of necessity. But who? With the fate of both realms hanging in the balance, I’m trying and failing to make progress with my Lusty Legion. The only hope for our people is to play the game better than everyone else. Hopefully, it won’t tear us apart in the process.
Blake Blessing is just a working mom that loves art in all forms, and all genres of romance. Although she enjoys writing romance of the steamier variety.
The character growth between book one and book two is great. Isolde is really starting to take this new life as the Mazza in strides, though it is entertaining when she questions the guys. She stands up for herself and her guys more in this book, even when the odds are against her. It is amazing to watch that spark of fight being ignited in her and I can’t wait to watch the flames grow.
I really enjoyed the dynamic between Rand and Sage in this book. Sneaky sneaky of Yunez to force that awkward confrontation with them, but I’ve gotta say I loved it. It was refreshing to see a more vulnerable and softer side of both Sage and Rand. I wholeheartedly believe Rand when he says that He believes he can find a family with them.
Holy sweet Toledo those steamy sex scenes. Idk about y’all but I had to fan myself just to cool off, especially after our little show with Sage. Hot lanta I’m looking forward to more of that.
I need more Fab Cab and his Cherries in my life. They are fabulous as hell and the idea of them going all ninja with sex toys is the funniest thing I’ve read all week. I also need Fan Cab to continue flirting with Egan cause it’s cute as hell when he teases him.
I full on fell out of my bed with that little cliffhanger at the end. I’m gonna start calling Blake Yunez JR, YJ for short, after pulling that fast one.
I can’t get enough of Isolde and her Lusty Legion, I’m practically a stalker of them. Legionarie? Lusty Lover? Mazzanites? I’ll keep working on the name.
You know those books where there is constant infighting and terrible angst between the harem guys and the FMC? This is exactly that kind of book; it comes complete with:
Problems, problems, problems. Jealousy. Lies. Betrayals. Bonding for power, not for love. Hurt feelings. More lies. More problems and more anger.
I’ve gotta tell ya, the internal harem issues are getting old.
This book has only one (very short and crappy) sex scene. Then there’s the sexual assault, forced bonding scene…but I’m not counting that one. The guys aren’t having sex with the FMC anymore now that they’ve bonded….they seem to have already gotten what they really want from the FMC. I just don’t think we can legitimately categorize this story as a romance. Honestly.
🔥 1/5 steamy stars (not steamy) ‼️ Dub-con, forced bonding ‼️ Constant infighting (harem) ✅ Single, first person POV
I’m not sure I’m going to finish reading this series. I’m still having some anxiety about that dubcon, forced bonding scene…that really rubbed me wrong.
Maybe no one else will have issues with that scene, but she’s fighting to get away and he’s forcibly restraining her and continues to fuck her after she says “Stop”…I’m not okay with that. Maybe she ended up liking it, but that doesn’t make it any less of a SA.
This book wasn't nearly as frustrating as the first one. That being said, it still had its moments. I am definitely glad that she is starting to stand up for herself and question things between her and the guys, at least. Even still, for everyone to be so invested in each other after only a couple weeks just doesn't really resonate much for me.
I am 10% into this book at this point. So, having gotten this far in the story, I'm curious as to why everyone was so nonchalant about her being the Mazza to begin with. Why wouldn't they take more precautions to protect her if it is such a big deal? It's like they are all existing in this small bubble, oblivious to the world most of the time. They went to introduce her to more people, and it was only about a dozen or so. Plus, why weren't there more security measures in place?
I am at 43% now. When Rand was injured, the word hyperthermia was used when I think what she meant was hypothermia. I am now done with the book. There were also a couple instances where words were missing. It seems like the editing on this book was a bit off.
I will continue with the story from here. (Let's be honest, I will most likely read them all). I am giving this one 3 stars, which is a little more than the last one of 2.5. Hopefully things keep improving.

This is the second book in the series and continues where we left off, Isolde and her men seeking refuge in Yunez's safe house. On top of learning about her heritage and the big responsibility of being the Mazza, some sort of saviour to her supernatural race, she must complete her bonds to the rest of four Fennin houses. Talk about pressure.
This installment has a lot of action going, not to mention some steamy scenes and her hot and cold sort of relationship with Sage. Oh my goodness Sage! Whew! There are no words to describe their scene together. Just whew *fans myself* Oh and he is mine. LOL. And oh boy, Rand. What are you up to? And Yunez? That man is one wily old fox. I'm second guessing myself most of the time what was his motive and if he will be one of Issy's men. Same goes for Rand. Argh! The author got me in tenterhooks with this book and that ending! I want book 3 right now.
Book 1 earned a 3.5 (rounded to 4) from me, while this one earned a solid 4, whichever nay modify to a 4.5 as I mull. I enjoyed this installment a lot more than the last, yet only reached it because there was a wealth of potential in book 1. Our Mazza is bonding and growing, discovering her potential (maybe?) while her mates fight to keep her out of the hands of the many Fennin that aim to use her.
Pros: - Sexy times abound. - Sage... petulant jerk, but I still love him. - Rand.... but I love him more. - Mythos: it’s becoming clearer. - Long game: the plot is fleshing out to be more complicated and far more satisfying than it first appeared. - Witty with just the right amount of 12 year old humor. What I say? I’m a giggling boy at heart. - SOME foreshadowing pans out, with a twist I didn’t see coming (I like this answer better!)
Cons: - there were a few skip ahead parts, though not many. - Few eye rolls, but far less than book 1.
Isolde and her LL are back and their adventure is heating up. (So Steamy). We come back to the characters shortly after the last book leaves off. This installment focuses on mobilizing their team, scouring for allies all the while maneuvering all of these new romantic bonds.
There was more character development and background history as Isolde got more acquainted with her mates and potential mates. And in turn we saw more sides of Isolde. With her confronting challenges, she gains confidence in herself and her new role.
And the plot twist! I don’t know how Blake thinks of them, but I never see them coming. And the delivery always leaves me salivating for more. I can’t wait for the next book! Also, Rand just keeps getting better. (Swoon)
*Spoiler Alert* Things are definitely heating up in book 2 in this series. Not that book 1 wasnt hot enough this book tops it. Isolde (FMC), her Lusty Legion - Nato, Jari, Sage, Egan and Rand her friend and a potential mark. They Journey to Fennina to get answers about Isolde as well as who is involved in an invasion/war thats planned for earth. Trying to evade Rainer (Rand's dad & bad guy), laying low and getting info, getting past petty grievances and to get her powers by completely the bond with her chosen male. Plenty sticky & funny situations, sexy scenarios, hot guys and a brilliant story. Just a joy to read. I couldnt love it more. So bring on book 3
So there’s still not as much as I would like to know about Ferrina and the Ferrin culture but we now know a bit more AND we were left with a huge info dump at the end that will start into the next book.
Lots more adventure and drama in this one versus the first one and less spicy moments (though they sneak them in when they can). Difficult, but not impossible, to fit in sexy time when you’re constantly hiding and running for your life.
Sage does deliver one of my favorite insults now and mine reaction to reading it was very much the same as Isolde’s. 😂
Blake did it again! She gave us this absolutely amazing, badass continuation of Issy, her men, and the future of like the world (if we’re being honest). Issy has a great attitude, a need to be loved, and a thirst for knowledge. She rolls with the punches, puts shitty attitudes in their place, and starts coming into her own. While we end on a slight cliffhanger (cause that shit is necessary or we’d be on info overload), it’s not the kind that rips out your heart and steps on it. Can’t wait for book three!!!
Once again, this world has drawn me in and left me craving more. It is wonderful to see the way the characters have truly begun to interact with each other. The most interesting thing that I took from it was the growth that was seen in our FMC Isolde. She is slowly but surely seeming to find her own two feet under her and her place and understanding. The way she continues to challenge those around her is a breath of fresh air and a pure delight. Would recommend this book to anyone who would like a interesting take on fate.
Another amazing book! I loved the first book so much and couldn't wait for book 2 and I love it just as much. We get a lot more info, Issy works on her bonds and building relationships and Sage works on getting the stick out of his butt. There are so much world and character development, surprises, steamy scenes, wondering what'll happen next and where the characters will go, and I'm so excited for book 3!
Bonds of the Mazza continues where Book 1 of Blake Blessings Mazza Series finishes and like Book 1, it’s detailed and there are a lot of characters at play but the story flows easily and I totally enjoyed it. I like the cliffhanger we finish the Bonds on and I suspect Book 3 is going to be packed full of action, spicy hotness and emotion.....ooohhh I can’t wait!
In book 2 we find our characters running for their lives. Realizing that some multiple enemies and factions want to control or kill the Mazza. Isolde struggles to deal with the mounting issues and the secrets Yunez has been keeping puts strain on her LL. I am off to read book 3 and get answers to all these secrets. And maybe see if Rand and Yunez might join the LL. As always Blake Blessing has me hooked. Recommended read and author.
Okay start with Marks of the Mazza first. But then read this. Fabulous writing. The arc of this story had me anxious and excited and then BAM! Plot twist with a bit of a cliff hanger. Cannot wait for book 3 to see where all of this leads now that … well, no spoilers.
An awesome second addition to this original series! Blessing brings more action, more mystery, and more heat to this gripping adventure. (Did I mention heat?! Wowza!) Loved getting to know our characters even better as we follow Isolde to her destiny. Thoroughly enjoyed this book and looking forward to continuing this awesome adventure!
Oh my goodness. This storyline has me wrapped up so tight! Issy is coming into her own but still remains her sassy self that I enjoyed from the 1st book. Each of the men are unique and bring something different to the storyline. I was hooked until the very last sentence and left anxious for the next book.
We get to pick up where book 1 ends and the story just keeps getting better. There are so many twists and turns in this book and we get to see Isolde as she tries to finish her bonds. We also get a new character that is Fabulous! You'll know when you meet them! The ending will have trying to pick your jaw up and scrambling for the next book!
Read. This. Book. Okay start with Marks of the Mazza first. But then read this. Fabulous writing. The arc of this story had me anxious and excited and then BAM! Plot twist with a bit of a cliff hanger. Cannot wait for book 3 to see where all of this leads now that … well, no spoilers.
WOW this story is really building and you are with a great anticipation cliffhanger, can't wait to see what's next. Sage WOW man who you had that in you and I love the prospects of yet to come!! Keep going Blake we need more please!
Although, how can you leave us on a cliffhanger like that? Book two in The Mazza series is just as well written as book 1. Full of information, intrigue and mystery as well as a good dose of ‘hotness’. Looking forward to the next instalment
I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters and how they came together. I can't wait to see what will happen next with them since there are male version of the Mazza. Can't wait to see if Iss will get with Yunez and Rand.
That cliffhanger! I love Blake's world and her creative ability to weave characters and plots. With every chapter everything becomes more and more interesting and I love it!
I’m seriously loving this series and getting to know more about these characters with each installment. The world building is great and the relationship dynamics are amazing as well. Will absolutely be continuing with the series
Ohhhh yes things are heating up in Issys life! She had made bonds and everyone is trying to get her to become their bonded. She is learning more about her Mates and history. This has very little spice but alot of action and information. I loved the ending and cant wait for more!
I'm thoroughly enjoying this series. The world that the author created is unique and the characters are diverse. The LL are all likeable in their own ways and are easy to tell apart. Not the same person with a different name like in some books.
