Moving on is hard, even for the Devil. Lucifer’s world has been turned upside down. He lost his brother, the girl he thought he might be falling for, and any sense of security he thought he had, but the game must go on. Pulling himself up from the depths of grief is easier said than done, and trying to find his soul mate on top of that, seems damn near impossible. Charlee Emerson had her own world turned upside down as well. Her cheating ex has ruined her life. By not keeping it in his pants, she lost her best friend, her apartment, her job, and even her path in life. But she’s never been the kind of girl to let anyone save her. No matter what price she has to pay, she will fix her own problems. As different as the two are, their similarities keep drawing them together, but at the same time, pushing them apart. Maybe, if the stars would just align, they could find a way to help each other through, and find the happiness they both deserve.
L J lives on the Jersey Shore with her husband, four kids, two cats, and an inherited dog from hell (a.k.a. the sewer gremlin). Though writing has always been her first passion, she got a degree in psychological counseling and worked in the mental health field for awhile, which she finds very helpful in dealing with her crazy family. She is a lover of all different types of music and books, switching between genres so wildly it sometimes makes people wonder if she has multiple personalities. She is most likely to be found writing romance stories of all kinds (contemporary, erotic, new adult, young adult, fantasy, paranormal, etc.) . When she's not writing, she prefers to spend her time reading, taking photos, watching Doctor Who or Supernatural, or spending time with her family. She loves to hear from readers so visit her on Facebook at www.facebook.com/AuthorLJBaker or check out her website at www.lj-baker.com
Smut. Lucifer's talented mouth, and Excalibur. (Yeah, it's so impressive it has a name. Scarcely mentioned, but stuck in my brain forever, so thanks for that). Alcohol. Emotions, but less action and drama than the more recent of this series.
Perhaps this one is anticlimactic, or a pause before an amazing finish. I have my theory for Ms. Envy, we'll see how I do. There are some plot points I'm hoping to be resolved in very specific ways, and after binge reading the series I'm hoping it lives up to my expectations. At the same time, I just don't want it to end, and to say farewell to these characters.
I suppose I could read the source material, but The Bible may not be as sympathetic to a fallen angel.
A hilariously smutty example of the writing, because calling for God during intimate moments has a different meaning for Luc...
"Despite the fact that she kept calling out his father’s name, he would give her what she wanted. After releasing her hair, he pushed her back, face first, into the pillow, and slammed into her. Done was the gentle, slow, thrusts. He gave her all he had, more than she could easily take, but she wasn’t complaining."

--->>> Luc, aka Lucifer Morningstar, goes on his sixth date with a potential soulmate, set up by his demon best friend Harley. Charlee Emerson’s sin is Pride, and it took patience to encourage her to open up before Luc could help her, especially in her situation which had landed her a job dancing in a strip club, far from her real profession in the publishing world, scrimping to save money and living out of her run-down car.
Still mourning the death of his brother, Luc only halfheartedly gives her a chance, really, before Charlee’s trial dating period of one month expires. While the sex is phenomenal between them, Charlee will not let herself to trust another man again. So the search for Luc’s soulmate will continue in the next book of this series with the last sin, Envy.
In a way Luc was at a loss because Az was gone yet he had things to do and a lady to meet and Charlee is this month lady. An out of work literary agent Charlee is now dancing and living in her car. Charlee is ok with who she is but would have changed things in the past like not trusting anyone. Luc does his thing again but ends up looking forward to the last month envy with thoughts of Ronnie, Valerie, and Anna. Who will Luc pick? He likes Charlee but? Can good old dad bring Az back? I love this series Luc as a good guy who does not lie has got to be the best twist for the devil yet! I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This is book 6 to the Seven Deadly Sins and I absolutely loved it but you do need to read from book 1 to know what’s going on. Lucifer is going through hell he lost his brother and the girl who he thought that he could love but I guess it wasn’t meant to be and he’s still trying to find his soul mate. Charlee’s ex cheated on her and because of him she lost everything now she lives in her car and works in a strip club and when she meets Lucifer he gives her a month to find out if Charlee is his soul mate, Charlee is the sin of pride. Amazing story amazing series and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Pride is book six in the Seven Deadly Sins series and Luc's new lady is Charlee. Charlee is an unemployed literary agent who lives in her car.
