(3,4 for the chaos of war in the chaos of storytelling)
WW2, Day-D, what a famous historic event. Massive war operation, heroic and terrible times on the battlegrounds all over Normandy. And with his comic, we can peak into it.
I must say, I like the art, a "classic Europe style". The scenes look nice, the fighting and drama are there depicted almost cinematically. The scenes are great, but the whole story is a mess. It felt like someone did the whole comics and then the wind took all the pages and someone else hastily tried to put them in order (and failed). I'm not able to retell the story as a whole (and I'm not sure if there is a whole story). The art is nice, but it's not helping in means of characters. Sometimes it's not easy to distinguish characters apart. That only supports disorientation in the story. In the end, I caught myself to enjoying the scenes, but not the story. For WW2 fans it's maybe worth a try, the art is nice but overall the comic book in nothing special.
