One of the things I really, really appreciated about this book was how kind the characters were. The words "please" and "thank you" were said, something that is sadly lacking in many other children's books.
I was also impressed with how the Disney characters were respectful and helpful toward one another. Reading this book was not only entertaining, but it was calming and uplifting as well. When characters made mistakes, forgot important events, or needed help, their friends were always there to cheer them on and lend a hand. Blame and meanness was never shown; rather forgiveness and looking on the bright side.....
This is a delightful collection of 14 stories sure to please any 2 year old. This book will introduce children to Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, and the whole gang with quick, silly stories. These stories will take you and your little one on several adventures from a fire house to helping friends and everywhere in between.
I love that this is a bigger and heavier book. The pages are thicker with beautifully colored photos that will appeal to any child. The stories are a couple pages long and would be a great story prior to nap time or bed time. Each story also has a great message for children about working together, being true to yourself, or how to be brave when you are scared. I personally loved the last story The Bravest Dog.
This is a wonderful book and one that I recommend checking out for your children or some children that you know. This would be a great introduction to reading for any child.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily chose to read and post an honest review.
Introduce your youngest readers to classic Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, and Daisy. This collection includes 14 quick stories perfect for reading before naps or bedtime. The stories are silly and full of friendships between our favorite Disney characters.
This is a high-quality book perfect for gift-giving. The pages are heavy-weight, thick, and durable for little fingers. The illustrations are classic Disney. But, the stories are very short and some of the stories seem to end abruptly. I’m wondering if some of the stories are resurrected from older Disney classics because the story with Goofy losing his plane ticket wasn’t very realistic in our days of heightened security in airports. But, obviously a two-year-old will just find the story silly.
Overall, this collection is a great way to introduce toddlers to classic Disney characters.
With 14 stories about Mickey Mouse and his friends, this picture book is the perfect treasury of Disney stories for young toddlers. Each chapter is a simple story about Mickey and his friends as they go on a picnic, ride a fire truck in a parade, visit a pet shop, and work on a dairy farm. Donald Duck, Goofy, Daisy, and Minnie are along for the ride too, ready for each adventure!
I love this adorable collection of short stories about Mickey! The stories are simple and easy to read with colorful pictures that make it perfect for little readers. I especially enjoyed that each story has a little lesson about being true to yourself, sharing with your friends, working as a team, or being brave in difficult circumstances. The writing makes this easy to read out loud, and the colorful illustrations are designed to capture a child's attention.
The iconic art style brings Mickey and his friends to life through every page, and the structure of the book is excellent with a sturdy cover and thick pages to withstand little hands. I'm going to read this with my 2 year old niece!
