"The girl’s bare feet weren’t leaving footprints in the snow that had collected on the asphalt....
My blood ran ice cold. I was certain, more certain than I’d ever been about anything, that we were looking at a ghost."

After finishing Light as a Feather, I knew that I immediately needed to read Cold as Marble. But now I’m wishing for September to arrive quicker because I need to know how this dark and twisted tale will end.

This picks up right after the first book. We see how everyone’s life turned out after the explosive ending to Light as a Feather. It’s definitely an interesting look and we finally get some answers to our burning questions.

Cold as Marble was good and had its eerie moments but it just wasn’t as good as the first one. That doesn’t mean that I didn’t enjoy this one because I did. It just wasn’t as intense or as unsettling as the first book. I was very invested in the story and where it was going. I’ve no idea where the next book will take us but I’m deathly excited to find out.

I’m just going to sit here, pout, and keep marking days off the calendar until the release of Silent as the Grave...

Who’s ready to play Light as a Feather with me?

"My blood ran ice-cold. I was certain, more certain than I’d ever been about anything, that we were looking at a ghost."

A perfectly decent follow up to Light As A Feather. I liked this one and it was good to see the consequences the characters had to face for their actions in book one.

McKenna, Trey, and Mischa are all in their own respective reprieves from Violet and Willow High. McKenna was sent off to a sort of boarding school, Trey to military school, and Mischa to a Catholic school in the neighbouring town. The first half of this book follows them during Winter break, back at home and back into the chaos of what's happening.

As the mystery deepens and more characters are drawn into it, McKenna fears there may be no way to put a stop to Violet and her nefarious deeds. But after some haphazard plans go their way, they think they might have a shot if only they can convince Violet to play the game with them again.

The characters and the plot both grew very well in this sequel, but I found myself a bit less drawn into the mystery than I had been with the first one. Probably because we're in the thick of it and there's no wondering about certain aspects; like the haunting or Violet's involvement in it all. Even with my waning enthusiasm, however, I finished this book quickly and easily and I didn't see certain twists coming.

Really looking forward to starting the finale of this trilogy later today, and definitely recommend this one if you enjoyed the previous work!

MY THOUGHTS
It took me a while to get into this book, but I do think it continued the suspense from the first book and expanded on some details.

McKenna thought that by destroying Violet's locket that Violet's game would end, but kids at Willow High are still getting their deaths predicted. The problem is that, after last year's shenanigans, McKenna and Trey had been sent off to separate boarding schools and aren't allowed anywhere near Violet. Now they are back at Willow for Christmas break and they need to find a way to stop Violet once and for all.

I was frustrated when I started this book. The book basically begins saying that everything in book one didn't work, so now they have to do a whole mess of other stuff. I don't really like it when books do this. I also felt that the concept worked better in book one and could have stood alone. There were some interesting things that came about in this book, though. We learn more about Violet and why she is doing this, which helped add more dimension to her character and added sense to her motives.

It took me a while to get into this book because the characters were going to do something stupid, and I did not want to see that. So, I put the book aside for a couple of days. When I got back to it, I found that I didn't have anything to worry about and the last half of the book really picked up the pace. This book continues the suspense from book one and there are a lot of thriller elements in the last half of the book.

McKenna also learns more about herself in this book. She learns that she has a special connection with the otherside that allows her to communicate with spirits. We also see more of her sister, Jennie, in this book. One of the things that is added in this book is the pendulum. McKenna uses this to ask spirits questions, but it felt like it was overused throughout the book. McKenna would ask the pendulum whenever she (or others) had to make a decision or were putting themselves at risk. I understand that she wanted answers, but it really slowed down the rising action. It also made little sense because when she first got the pendulum, she was told that it is best used for yes/no questions and to avoid asking questions about the future because the future could still change. Yet almost everything question she asks it is about the future!

IN CONCLUSION
Overall, I did like this book. Despite some of my issues with it, it does make an intriguing and suspenseful read. I don't know if Simon&Schuster is publishing book three or not, but I don't plan on continuing the series. Even though I liked this book, the ending frustrated me. It made me feel like I wasted my time.

It hold its promise since the first book was very good ...
The sequel had me hooked just as the first book love it too much and so excited to finish this trilogy 👏🏻👏🏻

The characters still have the same attitude and they have grown and developed and begin thinking of their own and to actually have the chance to still have this book in my stories in Wattpad is just amazing...

We are still on the run to solve the mystery and the good thing it grows not just as many mystery/thriller books go bigger and the disintegrate in weird way and keeps growing... even though I had finished this book I am still hooked on the story line and really want to know how this book gonna end💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

Really good and A MUST read💃🏻💃🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I really enjoyed Light as a Feather and was thrilled there would be a sequel to this surprisingly awesome YA thriller. I love a good YA thriller but they’re so hard to find!
I have to be honest, I was a little disappointed in this sequel. It carried on the story arc well and there was good plot development... but I didn’t feel like it lived up to the first book. I’m holding out for the next one to be back on form!

Summary

With Mischa's life still in danger, Mckenna hearing strange voices and Violet still telling death predictions, things in Willow are less than ideal over Christmas break.
While home from boarding school both Mckenna and Trey must scramble to find a way to end Violet's killing spree once and for all. Along with Henry's and a new friend's help, they come up with a plan that just might work or might go horribly wrong.

Personal Opinion

Like the first book this was a fun and addictive YA witchy read.
I liked how Violet's backstory ended up coming to light and there were a few juicy secrets that were also revealed.
There weren't as many gruesome deaths in Cold as Marble but there was quite a bit of action and a good ending.
Overall, it was a good follow up to Light as a Feather and paves the way for an interesting 3rd book in the series.

Cold As Marble
Mischa and McKenna meet up and debate whether destroying the locket really ended the curse. MicKenna doesn’t think it did or else Violet wouldn’t be handing out death readings. McKenna tho, believes the curse is over because she didn’t die by the new moon. McKenna tho, convinces her to go with her to an occult bookshop to speak with someone who specializes in curses. McKenna finds out that a classmate went missing after a jog.

Since Mckenna started going to the boarding school, she’s now hearing voices in her head that warn her against danger. The voices lead her to a letter in Emory’s mail. There’s a letter there from a law firm which is what it seems the voices want McKenna to see.The Emorys arrive home not long after. McKenna tells Trey to try to get out at 1 to go with her and Mischa abut a Violet thing. (His mother reminds him and McKenna that she and her mother agree it’s not a good idea for them to see each other). MecKenna's mom feels the same but luckily Mrs. And Mr. Emory get called away for other events. Unluckily, Henry arrives with Mischa and wants to help. So they head to Sticks and Stones to try to find out how Violet got her powers.

At the store, Mckenna is drawn to a white stone (selenite). The sales lady who doesn’t have time for wanna-be magicians tells her she’s draining the rock and she doesn’t have time to answer beginner’s questions about curses. Kristen finally get the truth about how playing Light As.. killed their two friends. She has Mckenna hold a pendulum to get the feel of the tool. While doing this the truth also comes out about Olivia’s spirit haunting her roo to Henry (whose shocked and a little hurt no one told him). When the pendulum swings in a different way than usual, Kristen announces that Mckenna is a medium. Kristen gets there information and says she’ll speak to her boss (who knows more about this) and she gives them a book called “Understanding the Spirit World”. Henry buys the pendulum for Violet and Kristen gives Mischa a seven-day candle.

Mckenna starts to ask it questions. Did Violet know about what would happen to Olivia and Candace (yes). Did the prayers from the nuns block Violet’s cure from Mischa (yes). Were they still praying for her (No). Kristen then performs a truth spell using the picture of Violet on Henry’s phone and two mirrors. In it each victim appears before falling. An image of Violet’s mother appears as is. Kristen comes to the conclusion that a new victim is sacrificed every month to save Violet’s mother. Kristen also gives Mckenna a few sticks of palo santos and the information to a guy that teaches about out of body exper should she ever want to learn more about her skill. Kristen surprises McKenna by telling her that Mischa is the next to die because unlike hers, Kristen can’t see Mischa’s aura. She also tells McKenna that when she blew out the candle the smoke drifted toward Trey (indicating he can’t be trusted and is connected to what’s going on).

On the drive back, the voices tell McKenna to take a certain road. They're waiting for her in the form of “Bloody Heather” is her sister Jennie. She tells her that to kill Violet she’ll have to kill the five other sisters. When asked if Mischa is next she says there are two more in line and one more is about to die. She says that she has to get Violet to play the game again and then she will tell her how to finish her off. They discuss the occurrence and conclude that maybe Violet has five dead sisters. Because McKenna told her mom she was going to look for a present for her she drops off Mischa and she, Trey, and Henry go to Henessey’s. Mckenna overhears Violet telling somone on the phone she was scheduled to go to Saint Bart's but her mom got sick with the flu. She comes to the conclution later that Violet didn’t make a sacrifice this month (and her mom got sick as a result) because she thought that Mischa would be next, but when that didn’t happen she had Stephanie killed. Trey reminds McKenna as they part, Violet is a month behind. McKenna thinks of the conversation she heard of Violet and her friend Tracey. Violet said she hoped Tracey was better in time for an NYE party. That night the voices tell her “the ice”. McKenna remembers the letter and sees that Mrs. Emory is being sued for something she did eighteen years ago. That’s why she’s selling the house. McKenna realizes that Violet’s father is either Trey’s father or uncle. “The eyes.” While in the store she noticed Mr. Simmons's eyes. They look just like Trey’s. Maybe Violet’s father was the client seeking payment from Trey’s mom. McKenna wonders if Trey knows who his real father was. Maybe Trey was helping Violet to get on good terms with his sister and father.

Trey comes by on Christmas morning and says Stephanie died. She fell through the ice when ice skating. McKenna confronts Trey about his father and he says he really doesn’t think of him as his father as the reason he didn’t tell her. Trey says there’s a lot more but it's not the time. McKenna as in confirmation, receives a call from Cheryl (Tracey’s cousin) who says she’s in the ER for bacterial menignitus. So, McKenna makes plans to go to the hospital the next day with Cheryl. That night McKenna asks the pendulum if an object could be offered for protection (yes), would it need to be cursed (yes), and if she gave Tracey something of Jennie’s would that work (yes).

So she takes a denim belt loop to Tracey. She takes this and sews it on the inside of a cute, stuffed, puppy she finds in the gift shop. Tracey is skeptical at first but accepts the gift. Then she starts talking about how McKenna missed out on the chance to know Violet and the great deal she got for the ski trip. McKenna realizes how many accidents she could cause at a ski resort. Tracey and her mom argue about getting out in time to go to the NYE party, Violet shows up with roses. She’s there visiting her mom. She says her fever spiked but she’s on the mend. Cheryl, Mckenna, and her mom say their goodbyes. Violet asks to speak to McKenna and then when in private and then warns McKenna to stay away from Tracey. She says she knows what she’s up to. Mckenna plays dumb and leaves. Later at home, there’s a tapping on McKenna’s window, and then steam starts forming a picture. Mischa is on the phone telling her about Violet’s mother who had daughters that kept dying on the same day. The pictures on the windows are of girls. There were four baby girls before Violet. Mischa theorizes that maybe the sisters are controlling Violet Or maybe they’re pissed that Violet survived. She says maybe the fifth was a miscarriage and not registered. They figure the party is the best chance to get Violet to play the game. Mckenna said the pendulum were the drawings in the window Jennie’s (yes). Did Violet have a fifth, dead, sister (yes)? Did Violet’s mom get sick because no one got sick in Nov (yes).

McKenna finds out that Trey had a dream that Olivia would go to the mall and something was coming for her. That’s why he went to Green Bay (in an attempt to rescue her). McKenna suggests that it could be the sisters and Trey thinks this sounds about right. He also hears voices. Mckenna tells him about her voices and suggests that he has a link with the spirits also. Trey doesn’t think McKenna should try to go to Violet’s party. Two incidents happen. While discussing plans to get into Violet’s party undetected and force her to play the game, Henry, Misha, and McKenna find that an icle has shattered Henry’s windshield. They get home and find out that McKenna’s mom’s car breaks gave out and she hit Mischa’s mom’s car. Clearly both warnings from the spirits to stay away from the party.

Mrs. Simmons gets released from the hospital. McKenna finds out from Trey that the letter is in regards to Mr. Simmons's lawyers offering her money to terminate her pregnancy. Later, McKenna finds out from a journal of hers that Mrs. Simmons cast a spell on Violet’s mother. Kristen said it looks like someone else also cast a spell on her and the two didn’t mix well. At the party, they find that Violet is handing out predictions. Violet already knows they’re coming and promptly has some guys kick them out. A text from Olivia sends McKenna to believe Mischa that Violet will make her next move at the ski resort. Cheryl wants to help so Violet tells her to go on the ski trip and keep an eye on Violet for her. Mischa gets invited to stay with Kristen in Chicago. On the way to the ski resort, Trey and McKenna realize that maybe someone put a spell on Violet’s mom that she would have a healthy.. They finally reach the ski resort. They finally find Violet on the slopes and confront her. McKenna tells her she knows how to end the curse. A teacher interferes and says the police are on the way. Violet tells them there is no way to end it. Before long there’s an avalanche.

McKenna survives the avalanche. Henry discovers Violet’s body in the snow. McKenna thinks she must have predicted the avalanche. McKenna realizes they’re running out of time, and convinces Violet to play the game. (Even though she needs medical attention. They use the surface in Trey’s ski goggles. McKenna asks the pendulum if it can show her Violet’s future death. McKenna thinks it’s her reflection she sees but it’s Jennie’s. She shows her a doctor’s office. The dr is telling her some test results. She’s older. She sees him mouth the word cancer (colon). She was told she had less than a year to live. She vows not to have treatment and enjoy the last few months she has with her children and grandchildren. McKenna chants “Light as a feather cold as marble”. Violet's body rises. She marbles and freezes to death. Jennie also shows Trey’s coffin buried by Violet. McKenna then sees five forms in the mirror and then Violet. The pendulum confirms they’re done. Violet says after that if they didn’t go get who they wanted they’d kill her mom. They’d punish her if she said no. She doesn’t know who they are. She doesn’t know if they’re the spirits of her sisters or someone pretending. They told her they died so she could live. She says Trey knows. They told her if she doesn’t do what they say they make her mom sick and sometimes they get greedy.

Later, Violet stops by McKenna’s and says it had been happening for a year. She saw them the first time after her grandmother died. They were blue orbs. They told her they wanted her to get one. They levitated one of her stuffed animals. Violet told herself it was a hallucination. She didn’t tell her parents. One day at school, a guy at school was playing with a deck of cards. She then could see “stories” of how certain friends would die and asked her friends to pick a card. This happened again but she refused. After this her mom’s dryer electrocuted her. She says her paternal grandmother was into tarot and might have used herbs or done something. She says before her (her) grandmother was the one supplying the deaths but she worked at a nursing home and only gave names of the terminally ill. Kristen says Violet’s grandmother asked the three souls before her to protect her life and she planted three rose bushes. Violet’s mother’s spell turned them into portals and three evil things came through. The grandmother planted two more at some point. She says that if the rosebushes are still there the spell may not be over. At the end of the book, Mckenna is sent to Florida and Trey back to Willow. The curse is now transferred to Mischa.

My Thoughts
This one was decent as well! I forgot to comment on the end of “Light As A Feather”. I felt like it was a lil *too* over the top. It almost felt like I was watching Set It Uff. They didn’t rob a bank! They got in a fight with a girl and stole her necklace. So, the police chase was WAY over the top. They didn’t hold her at gunpoint (rolling my eyes).

In this one, I liked the use of the pendulum. The pendulum was a character in itself. It was such an effective tool that it made me wonder if I should be using the one I bought more often for answers. McKenna might not realize it (and I know it seems a little scary) but I don’t think *all* spirits have evil intent So, I did agree with Kristen that being a medium could be a good thing. I can 100 percent attest to the fact that if allowed spirits can be extremely helpful if one chooses to work with you and intercede in your life. but you have to be open-minded. So I hope that by the end of the series, McKena takes Kristen up on her advice and tries to seek help to develop her gift.

I also liked how the other spells played a part of the story, Such as the mirror spell they did in the occult, book, store. I really wish there was one of those where I lived. But since I’m from the South and as we all know the South tends not to recognize anything but Christianity no such luck of that ever happening. I admit tho, while I was aware of Light As A Feather (Stiff As a Board) to a small extent, “Light As A Feather, Cold As Marble” kind of threw me off because it was new. I was trying to wrap my head around how the “spell” practically froze her to death to the point where it took Violet to the other side but didn’t finish her off. When she came to I was thinking hunh. I thought the point *WAS* to kill her. Didn’t Jennie give the impression that to end the curse Violet had to die? And if someone freezes you from the outside inward I don’t know. As much as I despise the cold, I surely would have died on the spot.

The rose bushes as portals were an interesting touch. I’m interested in reading about the demons perpetrating Violet’s sisters. I hope the next book gets more into (well we know how they came) but why they picked this family to demand sacrifices from.

*this book was given to me by the author to give an honest review!*
THIS BOOK WAS REALLY GOOD! I really enjoyed this book and loved how the story kept on going. This book literally played a movie in my head and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. The sentences were really detailed which makes it easy for the reader to imagine it. I love the authors writing as you can tell because she makes the story come to life. The characters in this book developed and throughout the book, I was shipping Henry and McKenna. The ending left be hanging with the cliffhanger and I just want more! I didn’t have any problems with this book and I totally recommend it. I think there will be a book 3 because of the cliffhanger.

I was sucked back into the storyline straight away, I could feel McKenna’s desperation sparking off the page at me as she attempted to solve the riddle that was Violet. My heart was pounding and my brain working overtime as I tried to figure out what was happening and how to help the people McKenna cared about. The writing simply makes you feel like you’re part of everything, I love books that make me feel that way (even when it’s an eerie read like this one)!

Trying to work out the mystery of the “game” and piecing together all the clues was so much fun, every time something new was revealed I’d find myself gasping or commenting out loud at the book - this inevitably led to some raised eyebrows from my family but, honestly, they should be used to my reading habits by now anyway.

There was a feeling of urgency that radiated from the pages, the author’s words oozed atmosphere which brought each character and scene beautifully to life. Add to that the touch of romance and a hugely twisty ending and, in my opinion, this book had everything I was looking for in a great read!

If you haven’t already read book one then I’d definitely recommend you do so before reading book two. Although the author recaps previous events, you’d need to read the first if you want to experience all the feels.

This was a creepy, mysterious and utterly compelling read that literally had me on the edge of my seat!

You can read my full review at https://thereadingsofanenglishteacher...

I don't want to spoil too much about the second book since a lot of it is based on what happens in the first book. But just when McKenna thinks that she and her family and friends are safe from the curse they brought upon themselves by playing the game, they are pulled back into danger. There's just as much suspense and action and plotting to end things.

There is an increased amount of supernatural in this book--curses, magic, witches, mediums, spirits. McKenna is learning about these things in an effort to help their situation. I really enjoyed this aspect of the book. A lot of the reviews and blurbs compare it to the Netflix series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina which hearkens back to Sabrina: The Teenage Witch. I can see those aspects here but I really enjoyed the way Aarsen went about it.

I felt like the book kept up the relationships and characters that were established in the first book and I was drawn to keep reading about them to see what will happen. The book once again left things pretty open ended so that once again I AM DYING TO READ THE NEXT BOOK!!

Sequel to Light as a Feather!
Thanks to NetGalley, Edelweiss and Simon and Schuster Children's Publishing for the opportunity to read and review Cold As a Marble by Zoe Aarssen, the sequel to Light As a Feather.
McKenna and her friends’ lives were completely disrupted in the first book. Two out of their friend group died, Olivia and Candace, and they believe both deaths were caused by Violet, the new girl who insisted they play the game Light As a Feather. During the game, Violet described their deaths and McKenna accused Violet of killing her friends. A restraining order was placed on McKenna and she was sent away to a different school. She’s home for Christmas and more teenage girls are dying. McKenna, her neighbor and boyfriend Trey, and Olivia’s brother Henry diligently work together to stop Violet and the curse she’s helping along. Suspenseful and interesting adventures and actions that the three dive into cause stress and more problems in their personal lives than helping stop the curse. I liked this sequel better than the first book in this series because it was faster paced and had more character development. Spooky, dangerously fun read for young adults! 4 stars!

I definitely didn’t love this one as much as the first, but it was still a page-turner for me! I think overall I’m going to end up loving this series once I read the final book, but my issue with this one was that it was a little too much at times. Obviously it’s paranormal but I thought the first book was much more believable and there was almost too much weird, unlikely stuff happening in this one. The visit to the witchcraft store and Kirsten’s role, the overuse of the pendulum especially in the form of the keys, the sneaking out of the schools and driving all across 3 states, etc. I also saw someone mention in another review that the conversations seemed unrealistic and I have to agree! Although I haven’t read the third book, I’m feeling like maybe this was one of those stories that should have either been a standalone or only 2 books. This whole book could be seen as filler to just say oh yeah the curse still isn’t broken, gotta read the third book!

I really wanted to like this one but I found myself just being kind of board. This one starts out telling us that everything that happened in book one just didn't work so now they have to do something else to stop Violet. So it pretty much just threw book one in the trash. And to me that was disappointing. I wished that the author would have done something else with why it didn't work and not just toss book one by the wayside. Other than this issue this was still a great story. It was edge of your seat suspenseful and the characters were great as they learned more about themselves.

Overall, this book was still a pretty good read but I wished that it would have taken a different turn.

Honestly, I am quite disappointed with this book because I kinda looking forward to how things going to progress since I really like reading Light as a Feather.

The plot did progress and expanded widely compare to the first book. In this book, we got more explanation about how Violet's curse works and where it all started. It also introduces the witch craft things to have better understanding for the spells and curses involve in the story.
The only good thing that I like in this book is when McKenna rekindle her friendship with Cheryl. I just hope in the last book McKenna better not abandon her again after getting her involve.

However, I have to say there are some things that bothered me while reading this book.
First of all, the pendulum. The last few chapters where McKenna keeps asking the pendulum for everything she wanted to do felt ridiculous to me. Especially when it was told at the beginning that the pendulum couldn't predict the future. HOWEVER almost all of McKenna's question is about the future ?! This baffled me so much while I was reading it.

Another thing that surprise me in this book is the fact that McKenna still might haven't get over her crush for Henry even though she has a boyfriend which is a bad move. Not too mention, there's a slight hint that Henry might have feelings for her too.
Trey isn't really around in this one as much as the first book, but Henry has been showing up a lot more. Henry's presence in this book felt strange at first since he didn't have any big roles in the first book.
I don't know what's going to happen to the three of them but I kinda suspected something will shift between Trey and McKenna.

I did try to like this book, but this book kinda ended the same way as the first book and I'm getting annoyed. I realized after reading two books that McKenna and her friends are suck at planning things because no matter what they do and how many times they strategize, they always seem to fail miserably.

To be honest, I don't like this that much because as you can see I complain a lot.
Honestly, I feel like I don't want to continue this trilogy anymore but, I'm already in the middle of the trilogy. One more book and I'm finish. So, I think I will push myself to read the final book because I really wanted to know how it ends even though I might hate it.
I am not having any high expectation for the final book, I just hope at least it will end happy for everyone.

“What does Mischa’s look like?” I dared to ask.
“She doesn’t have one. That’s how I know she’ll be the next to die. She’s doomed.”

Summary

"Cold as Marble" by Zoe Aarsen, the sequel to "Light as a Feather" was an interesting read but not nearly as good as the first. I read this at night (again), because that's usually when I have free time, and it was not nearly as scary as the first book but still quite thrilling

McKenna Brady would like to think that the nightmare is over and that the curse has ended, but she knows that it hasn't. Mischa, her best friend, is next in line and with the new moon coming up, they know she's running out of time. Not only that, they also have to worry about Violet's sinister plans and stop them

During this time, McKenna dives more into the spirit world and discovers more about her mysterious connection to it through her dead twin sister Jennie, who lingers on the other side, warning her about obstacles.

Thoughts

Keep your eyes open and your ears peeled for weirdness, because if I’m right, that magic is going to continue to thrive one way or another.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and I thought it was a satisfying sequel to the original but not nearly as good. I thought the ending was nicely done although the author certainly leads it open for the final book. I thought it was interesting that the author took a deeper look into the characters and their backstories although I would like to know more about the ghosts possessing Violet and how they came to be.

This one was good but not as good as the first. It did keep you on edge sometimes and hoping McKenna gets to save her friends. I just don't like McKenna and Trey's love relationship it does not oh what's a word for it mesh or believable. I do like the interest with McKenna and Henry that one I ship.
In the end it left you needing the next one because these cliff hangers are killing me. Violet I do believe wants to make amends for her role in predicting her friends and McKenna's friends deaths but now in book three it looks like we have a big problem in the friend department and how to save them all. I have seen the T.V. series of Light as A Feather and did not like it at all, it was nothing how the book was and ever book lover knows when you have characters in your head of what they look like, none of the girls on the series came close to how I pictured them. What was that thing growing on her back in the the show because I don't remember that in the first book. I have liked this series so far and the last one is coming out or is already out got to get it.. Recommend to paranormal, friends, love, family and a whole mess of crazy because of a Ouija board game lovers... Gina Clabo

Review: I enjoyed this book and thought it brought a satisfying wrap to a lot of loose ends left from the first book. The first chapter was designed to pick up where the epilogue of the first book left off but accidentally changed some details and because I read them back to back and am a stickler for details, that really bothered me. Overall, I would rate this book as a 4 star read but it feels like the story could have been told brilliantly in one book and then for the epilogue of this one to set up a 3rd book really knocked down my rating. I don't love when stories feel drawn out for no reason and this series gives me that vibe. I would have enjoyed it more if the sequels had continued to follow the characters but with new obstacles rather than using the same main issues in all three.

McKenna has been sent to a boarding school and Trey is in a military school for the trouble they caused at home. They think everything is over; but, when they return at Christmas, someone is leaving them clues and they find out that Violet is still predicting deaths. Desperate to stop Mischa, McKenna is willing to try anything. This time, Henry is also helping them to stop Violet, because the circumstances of Olivia's and Candace's deaths. When McKenna finds out some information about Trey, she must decide if she can still trust him. How can they stop Violet from killing more or is it possible to break the curse? Can't wait to read the conclusion to this trilogy!

I loved this book! It was super good, and answered quite a few of my unanswered questions from book the previous. However, I didn’t like how the curse just ✨ transferred ✨ to Mischa at the end of the book. It irked me that it just switched so pleasantly, like nothing ever happened. But then again, it did make sense that Mischa was the one to inherit the curse since she was the next in line to die and subsequently didn’t.

On another note, I would definitely recommend this book as one to read, but definitely read the first one first. 10/10 would read again. I’m excited to dive into the final book.

The well sought after sequel to Light as a Feather, this author brings the story to life with well-loved characters, action-packed scenes of terror and adventure and of course, ends with a devastating cliff hanger to lead onto book 3 of the series. This was a book I picked up feeling indifferent as to whether I'd enjoy it or not and found myself enthralled right to the very end. It's a book I'd definitely recommend to others.

It's hard to find fault; my only critique being that some scenes could have been more concise - however this is simply an opinion not fact, and others may find the authors writing style suits them.

Continuing on from the first book light as a feather now a tv series on channel 4 and Hulu (although the story does differ) if you haven’t read the first one do read it first this is better read in order. I loved the first one and I loved this one. The story of a group of teenagers who play light as a feather and then people start dying. It’s a great read I won’t give any of it away but I can’t wait until September for the third book.

Another great one!!!
This one picks up exactly where the first one left off and you find out more of the why in this second installment. For individuals interested in the show give it a go. I enjoyed it a lot but it is nothing like the books. The books and the show are both good storytelling and I've liked the direction each has gone into. Can't wait to read the third one :)

To be honest, I kind of wish the story ended after the first book. As much as I love this series, its just becoming too hectic to me. So many new characters are introduced, the supernatural aspects seem overly exaggerated and unrealistic, and the story just seems to drag on. I just want to see a happy end for the main characters.

This book was very engaging. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I can not wait for the next book in the series to come out. Zoe Aarsen has this way of writing that is mysterious but also so real and engaging.
