The stupidest book I have read in my entire school career. It is 136 pages and cost me a buck a page. And it repeats itself to the point of utter annoyance. A true disappointment in every sense of the world. Pricey, unhelpful, and if I ever have to read what the term consultant means one more time in my life it will be too soon.
This book is good for those wanting to expand their knowledge on consultation and collaboration. The case studies for this book were well written and really did a good job tying the book together. The book was heavy on jargon so that is something to take into account. Also, it was hard to engage with the book, but it did its job.
While at times repetitive, I found the subject matter fascinating and important. Especially appreciated the summaries at the end of each chapter and the case studies used to illustrate concepts.
Doughetry should receive an award for being able to write a whole book about absolutely nothing. Here's an example: "...they begin formulating a plan. A plan refers to a detailed step-by-step method for doing something and is formulated beforehand. In many instances, formulating a plan refers to joining the pieces of the interventions into a sequence and generating appropriate lines. In other words, the consultant and consultee construct an overall game plan." *smh
