Thanks for stopping by! I loves to weave tales of Alpha Shifters and the woman they love...or is it crave? ; ) I love all things fantasy and paranormal - if you haven't noticed! I am clearly a hopeless romantic too! What a coincidence! When I is not writing I am loving on her pet menagerie of cats and dogs - as well as on her very own Alpha : ) ...Our little gang splits our time between the mountains and the city in the far west... I hope my stories bring a smile, a laugh...as well as some steam to your day. And above all I hope they help you keep the feel of "possibility" alive in your heart...cause all things are possible...at least I like to think so! Enjoy

A little disappointed

After reading the first story I bought the box set. However, by the end of the 2nd I felt that I was possibly going to be disappointed. I knew not long after that I was. Repetition I found to be the main disappointment. Timelines were a little fuzzy. The ending made that very clear even though it wrapped it up, which was good, it showed the timelines to be out even more. I wanted to give it 2 1/2 stars. I chose three as two was unfair. Thank you for writing this series.

Spoilers Ahead

Daddy Shifter's Virgin – This is a cute little story to start off the Stonybrooke Shifters collection. Our main characters are Clark and Carmen. Clark's daughter Rachelle is Carmen's best friend who brings Carmen to the shifter community for the Summer holiday because she's having problems with her own parents. Carmen's in her 20's and has been saving herself for the perfect man. Well, that perfect man happens to be a shifter by the name of Clark. The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it was a slow burn.

A Secret Baby for Shifter - Janie has come to Stonybrooke to get an internship at Howler's under the CEO and founder Dean. Dean's wolf just knows that Janie is his and pines for her. The attraction is mutual, yet Janie is unwilling to risk her job and stability for a love affair that may not last. Even though she's already head over heals in love with him. After a night of passion, Janie freaks out because Dean's ex-wife threatens her to expose them by stating they've been having an affair the entire marriage. So she freaks out and runs. As for the main reason to her running, you'll have to read the book.

The Shifter's Mail Order Virgin - By far the worst book of the the series so far. The title basically tells you what it's about, you'd think. The youngest of three sacrifices herself to save her family. She's a virgin and is offering herself up to be a mail order bride. She ends up being the mail order bride of a wealthy shifter. He calls and orders her up while he's so blitzed outta his mind that when she shows up he don't even remember. On top of which he treats her like crap. It was the worst slow burn I've ever read.

Daddy Shifter's Fake Fiance - Ok, so this one was a little bit better. But, it still had so many errors with one freaking word. It was about a college level professor and student who get “fake” engaged to be able to protect the wolf shifters from the bear shifters. Though you don't really realize that until a certain name is dropped later on in the story. Once Kane (our professor) receives his promotion he calls off his engagement to Lia (our student), but does it end there? Read and find out the whole story between Kane and Lia as they figure out the dark magics behind the scenes in Stonybrooke.

The Seal Shifter's Secret Baby - Let's get pregnant and run away! Hey didn't we cover this in book two? The only difference is he actually goes and finds her (OOOOOPS spoiler alert). There's also one other major difference she's got shifter blood running thru her veins. So unlike most women she's able to tell what the man is feeling towards her. Talk about shaking things up and making it interesting.

Claimed by the Alpha Daddy - This is by far the best book of the series! Though it's similar to the first one. A university age student falling in love with an older man. Oh wait! This makes book number three with this theme! Haha! But, still the best of them so far! The plot line is so over the top it's not even funny! The traditions changed up in this one where claiming a girl has to be reported to the council and portals are a source of power and not the stone. So, wait! The stone's not even mentioned in this book at all! What gives? Take a read to find out what stone I'm talking about... hehe

Nanny to the Shifter - As the title suggests... Our heroine, Riley, is a nanny to Shifters. Mostly to the rich upper class; however we're not centered around the upper class in our story. Our male lead, Walker, is a blue collar working class mechanic who owns his own shop. The story between these two is sweet and romantic with a hard edge to it. There's some fighting and rescuing involved to get the girl which makes it one hell of a good story!

The Shifter Protector's Virgin - Ok. So, that was different. Mostly human bear shifter royal descendant meets wolf shifter. To top it all off with sexual tension out the wazoo. Our heroine, Gael, comes from a long line of shifter bears but her blood is so diluted with humans that it's not funny. Enter our male lead, Rhett, who's an exiled wolf shifter from Stonybrooke. He's charged with protecting her maidenhood for an entire month, but can he keep his hands off her that long? Can she keep her hands to herself that long? What'll happen at the end of their time together? Take a read to find out!

Second Chance With the Shifter - The sexual tension between the two main leads is so thick you can cut it with a knife. They're always at each other's throats for one thing or another. She's too reckless and he's too overprotective. This makes for a good story, yet at the same time makes it very difficult to read. Otherwise it's a good book with an air of mystery to it.

Shifter Redeemed - This one was rather interesting. I found it was kinda like a continuation of Daddy Shifter's Virgin because parts of the story were referenced. The story of Ella and Luke is also similar to that of those in Nanny to the Shifter. The difference is that Ella has only just moved to Stonybrooke and she's not a nanny. IF you're an avid reader you can “feel” the sexual tension between these two in the beginning. It's from first conversation that things start to get heated up for Luke. Being a wolf shifter is no easy feat in Stonybrooke, being able to sense the emotions of a human. Which makes it all that much harder for Luke to handle his own emotions around Ella. Find out what happens is this riveting story.

Shifters and the Stone - A nice tidy way to summarize the stories. Bringing in a bunch of the characters from a lot of the books. All for a wedding of Clark's daughter, Rachelle. It was sweet how Leela brought almost all her characters together for one big celebratory wedding.

The one thing I didn't like about the this series is the way books are laid out. The timeline is outta wack. It's not in order and therefore makes it hard to follow along. Otherwise it's a really good series. I'm only giving it three stars, because there's a lot of repetitive aspects to the series and there's one really horrible book in there. Otherwise the series would get a four star review.

This was in my “read next” suggestion on Kindle so I decided to just click and give it a shot. It is my fault because I didn’t fully read the title. I just saw it was a wolf shifter and didn’t read the description. I only got a few chapters in until I gave up. I am obviously not a part of the target audience.
In the short amount that I had read she was felt up and harassed three times. The first time was at the train station where the dad/hero picked up the girls. Later the friend arranged a double date and told the guy her friend was a virgin so he had to be gentle. On the date he proceeded to grope her and thought she should just be grateful. When she got up to leave her friends she was told to be careful and not to look any of the men in their eyes. Of course, on her walk she encounters another creep. The hero saves the day again but only by telling the guy to back off because she doesn’t know the rules of the town. With all that happened within a few pages I can see that the girl really isn’t her friend and is just thinking about herself. What kind of rape town is this? How could her “friend” just let her leave without her if the town is so dangerous?
The dad and daughter are both solely focused on sex. We even get the pleasure of him going to go see the town ho. Personally, I just love it when we get to see the hero have sex that reeks of cigarette smoke and whiskey...That just screams husband material, right?
Some authors know how to work with the age gap but this one is way too pervy and juvenile. Watching a classic movie does not make you mature. Having a stoic face while someone is attacking you does not make you mature. Telling his daughter she shouldn’t be trying to be with a man in a relationship does not make her mature. You can’t just keep saying she is mature and not actually back it up. I don’t exactly have confidence in the woman that is going to college but says her only goal is to have a house.

But hey, some people might like this kind of book. Obviously, it just isn’t for me. I have read other books of this author but have never been a fan of the writing style or how she portrays the heroines.

Do bears and wolves get along?????

Not according to this author! Ms Ash's storyline paints the bears as the bad guys. Whether you agree with that view or not, put your own personal feelings aside and settle down to read a charming, if somewhat simplistic, view of the shapeshifter world. Over the course of several intertwined stories that share the same community and, in some case even share characters from both sides of the fight, for fight it is. The characters are appealing and very charismatic or revolting and very off-putting, as the case may be! The basic under lying thread that ties these stories together is two part; a mystical powerful magic filled stone said to come from the planet where shapeshifter's originated and the ongoing conspiracy to steal the stone and the land that it is tied to. This fight between wolves and bears is at the center of every story in this box-set and forms a very solid base for each story. The writing is good, the storyline is interesting and well developed. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a light summer read. It is a light, entertaining series of stories that are fairly short and each can be read in a short enough time to fill a lazy afternoon or as a finish to a tiring day. Give a try, you'll be back for more.

🐺💕🔥 I enjoyed the stories in this collection, which is all built around the town of Stonybrooke, where wolf shifters are under threat from dark forces trying to destroy and dominate them and the "inferior" humans who deign to mix in their magical world. The stories are connected by the setting but otherwise standalone. The heroes are strong and protective, the women brave, loving, and self-sacrificing. The romance had medium heat, with intimacy described, but not too explicitly. There's action and battle, but not too long or too bloody, and a variety of tropes covered. The writing is easy to follow and makes you want to keep moving on to the next tale. Since there are plenty, makes for a good, long read.😊

“Stoneybrooke Shifters” collection is an incredibly fast-paced entertaining set of books. I've read many of the stories individually and they are all four and five star reads. The characters are well-developed and the story-lines all unique. Each book drags you into a world of heart wrenching romance and sizzling sexual tension that holds you captive until the last word. Also, each tells a story of finding that perfect match to complete your heart. This collection has it all.....intrigue, mystery, suspense, action, drama, passion and romance. “The Stoneybrooke Shifters” collection provides many hours of fantastic reading at a reasonable price. A must buy!

Ten tales of shifters finding their mates. It starts out with a May/December type romance then works it’s way through a number of different combinations. We get a mail order bride, fake fiancé, nanny and single dad union. The town has a hybrid issue with bears and wolves with the bears trying to steal the sacred Serah stone. It takes to the final story about a wedding of two shifters to pull everything together. I felt like I was reading an ARC but I got this box set with my KU subscription.

Wolf Shifters

I enjoyed these stories but they became repetitive. Male wolf.meets woman they hit it off to begin with then they argue, separate, then one of them becomes the victim of their enemies and then they both realise they can't live without the other one so the other one becomes a hero, saves the day, and they all love. happily ever after.

Good reads

This series is good! I love the first book and 2nd from last book! There was one in the middle also that was really good. The rest were good but all kinda were the same. The other thing was all were set in the same town but none of the characters from the other books were even mentioned until the last book! It just seemed odd.

Different perspective

This series gives a new perspective on shifters. I enjoyed these books very much. A new look at what the lives of shifters would possibly be. I did get a bit confused between the books as far as a timeline and the same names for the bad guys. Also there are some editing marks left that can make things a bit confusing.

Storybook Shifters: The Complete Collection

I enjoyed this series immensely.. I don't particularly care about bears, or wolf shifters, but the characters were likable and interesting. The heroines were often more combative than feisty, their mates too tortured but all ends on a high hopeful note.

A good read

WOW what a great collection of trial and tribulations. Each book has drama, suspense and chemistry that is off the chart. Hot, sexy, alpha shifters and the strong women who love them. I loved how it all came together at the end. A definite must read.

Yup some of the stories were great, but some I couldn't wrap my head around.
I also didn't realise these were short stories,.
I'm going to read another of Leela's books and see if I was just in the wrong head space.
