Does the Bible have much to say about matters of health? That is a question Christians should be asking, yet few are. After two decades of never-ending pain and illness, Marci Julin finally did. Having exhausted all other options, yet reduced to living as an invalid, she had time and motivation to consider a new "Surely, the Creator and Sustainer of life must have something to say about health in His Word!" While studying Genesis to Revelation for answers, Marci discovered biblical principles of health and healing that led to her complete healing from thirteen diagnosed conditions. Much suffering could have been avoided if she had only known God's answers sooner! Now, after almost 9 years of abundant health and continued in-depth study, Marci shares the biblical principles that bring life to the body. By combining Scriptural truth with the latest in scientific research from fields such as neuroscience, epigenetics, and neurocardiology, Marci powerfully reveals answers that Christians need to know. Topics •Why so few are healed and how to change that. •Harnessing the power of the heart to flood every cell of your body with life. •DNA does not necessarily determine destiny. •Why the Bible and Epigenetics offer hope to parents of sick children .•How to end life-long depression, anxiety disorders, and OCD. •A possible connection between autoimmune disease and the heart .•How to biblically interpret ever-changing perspectives on nutrition .Sick or well, everyone needs to know the life-giving truths found in God's Word. Make a fresh start today by learning the principles that give life to the body.
I didn’t know how to rate this because I appreciated aspects of it and and wrestled with others. So I gave it a 2 because I am still not sure what to make of her argument that so much of human sickness is caused by sin. In laying out her studies of scripture through the first half of the book, she hardly touched on Job, an entire book of the Bible to delves deeply into human sickness and suffering. She references it briefly in a chapter where she cautions readers not to judge everyone’s sickness as having been caused by sin.
I appreciate how she keeps pointing readers to Jesus’ saving power and our need to turn to Him and repent and be rescued from our sin and transformed in our hearts and minds.
I am still mulling over her assessment that muscle testing is divination. I do think muscle testing is no better than chance at determining anything. And I am concerned by the possible spiritual underpinnings this practice seems to carry with it.
Marci is a delightful woman with an incredible story to share. if you are struggling with your health, I highly recommend reading this book. Marci has done extensive research on the topic of health as it relates to Scripture. She encourages her readers to really seek the Lord in their health journey and turn away from New Age modalities that sneak their way into holistic health alternatives.
