Vanessa This was supposed to be a vacation to rekindle my failing relationship with my husband. We decided to start a family. Instead, I was here all alone while he was busy playing house with his secretary setting up what should have been our baby’s nursery. Chivalry was dead along with my libido. So much for fidelity and knights in shining armor.
Will I was exiled to the family resort after my last crash and burn. I guess things could be worse managing the island hotel. I was supposed to keep my hands off the guests, but then she showed up frowning with sad brown eyes. It was that moment I took my new role as hospitality director with utmost seriousness.
*This is the third book in the Filthy Friends Series. They can be read as standalone books.*
The characters in this book are wonderful. There's Will, the rich playboy who has his share of woes, and Vanessa, the betrayed woman who fears her dreams won't become reality. Together they have chemistry that is bursting at the seams. This quick and easy read focuses on what brought each to the tropical island and their first day together. The epilogue just makes it all sweeter.
I enjoyed Van & William's story. Good characters. This was a fun, quick read. I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review for a copy of the book via booksprout.
The best way to get over your divorce..................get under the Pool Boy!!!
So let it not be said that sometimes the fates are in your favor, even when you think they are working against you. At least that is the case for Vanessa (Van). She is 34 years old and is taking a holiday at an exclusive resort because her ex-husband drained their joint account and bought it without her knowing about it just before they split. Seems he had other plans for it but the judge gave it to her in the settlement. He ended up with the apartment and his younger pregnant secretary. Vanessa is more than a little depressed and through with men at this point after having her heart broken - she was on hormone treatments to get pregnant at the time. Plus she is humiliated as her so called "friends" knew about the affair and no one told her about it. So not what true friends do for you.
Van is bumped into by the "Pool Boy". This is not just any regular pool boy. Sure he is handsome, has a body built like the "marble statue of Apollo" and is quite a bit younger than her. But remember she is done with men and hates them all at the moment. But the pool boy turns out to be William (Will). He is a 27 year old man-child who has been banished by his parents to work at the resort, which is one of the family's properties, until the lawyers can work out his latest scandal, crashing his Lamborghini. This is all unknown to Van. The only thing she knows is that he is hot and appears to be mute as he never speaks to her.
Will has more than an attraction to Van and pursues her for at least one night of fun. However, soon things change for Will and he starts having those dreaded "feelings" towards Van. Can Van take him seriously once he opens up and tells her about his feelings and also his juvenile bad boy past? Does Will really want more and willing to put in the work to breakdown Van's "walls"? What happens when Van has to leave in a few days and Will has to stay?
I really enjoyed reading Pool Boy by Rachel Everly. I have also read a few other books by her which have been good. The stories are fast paced, as you would expect in a short story, but the story-line is good and the characters are engaging.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Vanessa is dealing with the aftermath of her divorce when she decides a little sun and pampering are on order. On a trip that was supposed to help her reconnect with her husband in hopes to start a family has become a soul searching trip in order for her to start over. William has been sent to the resort by his parents to let the dust settle on his latest headlines. He sees Vanessa and is immediately infatuated with the gorgeous woman. Vanessa however is not as enamoured at first. When these two finally get together the heat is combustible. These two were fabulous together and it was great to see Vanessa get the love she definitely deserved. Great book and fabulous writing!

The story of Will and Vanessa is a quick and fast story of insta-love. He’s a bit younger than her and she needs to get over it. Will helps her do it by showing her how much he cares for her even though he’s not quite sure how HE got there. The whole romance takes place on a tropical island that Will’s parents happen to own a resort. Will is sent there for penance from some stuff that has happened in NYC. Vanessa is there on what one could call a constellation prize after her divorce from her douchebag husband leaves her with little else. Her husband moved on with his secretary, baby and all. Luckily Will breaks though her walls and is prepared to give her a HEA. The book is short and sweet!

Nice story written from two people perspective: Vanessa, a woman through a sad divorce (her hubby preferred his secretary to her...), a brilliant woman, with clear ideas of what she wants, she needs and how she redirects her life...; and William (Will), THE pool boy, an interesting guy, just in the moment of passing from the crazy youthfulness, to a mature stud, with clear ideas of which his life-path is.
How these two characters get together and interact is well detailed, explaining feelings, thoughts and desires in a not too long story.
Instead of starting on a family with her husband Vanessa is at a resort alone after her divorce when her husband gets his secretary pregnant. William/Will is the pool boy or so she thinks when they met and have a hot chemistry and start a quick affair. Actually his family owns the resort and he has been sent there after his latest crash and burn. She is several years older than Will but they neither one seems to care and want to enjoy their time and who knows maybe this could continue once they leave the resort.

A fast paced steamy read. It will have you reading it in one take. You will not put it down. The chemistry is steamy hot between Vanessa and Will. Vanessa is coming off a divorce and wanted to relax and be by herself at the resort. Will had just been sent the resort that he parents own to stay low till the dust settles on his latest scandal. One look at Vanessa and Will was hook and he wanted her. Vanessa didn't feel the same. Will he be able to change her mind. A great read.

Poor Vanessa is on a trip that was supposed to be her and her husband where they were supposed to try for a family and now she is on it alone since he was a cheating bastard and got someone else pregnant. She is on a soul searching time and wants no man, which you can not blame her. Here comes William who has been sent to hide from the aftermath of his accident and parents sent to hide out. He sees Vanessa and decides he wants her but she wants no one, but will it stay that way? Hell no..

William McIntyre is 27, a man boy, spoiled and way more frat boy than man. He’s sent to the family’s resort to man up and stop messing up. He wrecked his Lamborghini.
Vanessa Robinson. Yep, Mrs. Robinson is newly divorced. A messy break up that left her with no baby. She decides to jump back on the horse with the pool boy. Who’s 7 years younger.
Can it last? Short and flirty fun in the sun.

I enjoyed this rapid paced short read. At times it seemed a bit too short as segments of time were skipped over in preference for brevity. The writing and characterizations were good (the character of Will in particular). I still give it 5 stars, though I would have enjoyed it being a little more flushed out with a bit more tangeable ending. Maybe her next book.

This is the 5th book I've read written by Rachel Everly; she has done a great job at writing a good short story; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

This is a short quick read. I really enjoyed reading it. It seemed to abruptly go to the epilogue and would have enjoyed another chapter or 2 before it, however it still worked. It was fun and saucy and finished with my favourite HEA. Looking forward to reading more books by Rachel Everly.

A short steamy romance, Vanessa is recently divorced and is on vacation. While there she comes across Will, he's there as a quote on quote punishment from his parents. He chases her and finally wins her over. He gives her a second chance at love.

Oh boy. What is Vanessa going to do when she meets a younger man? It was interesting how the author portrayed a jaded woman and William, a playboy. Actually Will is like on time-out for his behavior. So you wonder how they’ll ever connect but stranger things have happened and opposites attract. Fun and short read!
