What didn't I love about this book...hmm. Nope I loved it all. This whole series is filled with adventure, romance, fighting and war. Betrayal and bitter sweet reunions. You will not be disappointed when you pick up this book to read.
Princess Tanvihaara is running for her life. She is the last remaining heir to the throne. But in order not to be captured she weaves her magic just so. Landing her in a bit of a pickle. Now she is a place she has no idea about, a crazy Prince is bent on protecting her and romancing her she believes. The crazy part is she just might be in love with him and all his craziness. But will their love survive the onslaught that is to come her way?

'Tamarik is my story, my happy ending, the ending that came out of the burned embers of a shattered life'
Wow, what a spectacular, beautiful, magical, captivating, emotional and fantastic story!!! I can't get enough of Queen Bennua and zahid's legacy!!!!
the story is about Tanvi, she is Princess of Amandara, she is a magical storyteller. She is kindhearted, strong, determined and sweet
-the palace is under siege and her parents are KILLED!! She is about to meet her end too, but through storytelling spells herself away. (On her elephant Randeer) she ends up in Sahrahn in Ashana!!!
-attempt to steal from a caravan, is caught by PRINCE TAMARIK!!! He is commander of the army and training with his brothers, they don't get along together AT ALL!!! both are stubborn and hot-headed!! Banidits attacked and he saved her, She is brought to the Palace as prisoner.
ZAHID AND BENNUA ARE BACK!!! They are just as perfect as ever!! Almost 40.
Many cute and funny bickering scenes.
Sultan zahid is kind, and just but Bennua is suspicious and wants her gone
Ameera comes in ans wants tanvi as her maidservant. - tanvi is grateful and to be her maidservant for a year
Ameera is 'different and difficult' for her brain was 'malfunctioned'- cute and sweet scenes
Tamarik / the wild stallion is known for his tough exterior and can't be tamed, he numbs the pain with fighting and 'killing' and girls...
One time he has a panick attack (episode)
Tanvi is slowly developing feelings towards him!!!
The 12 children listen to Tanvi's stories (storytelling is forbidden because of Rukuh) they hold secret sessions in Zahid's past home tower!! The children bond with her and have secrets of themselves: larissa is blindly in love with an older douchbag while a boy is in love with her, (she becomes pregnant and goes away)
Caspir is a jackal-werewolf, he wants to look for his pack
Zahra wants to be an assassin (justice for women)
Ahmed is in love with a men (greatest sin in Sahrahn) tried to hang himself!!!
She connects deeply with the children- emotional scenes!!! The royal family becomes her family too!!!
A sultan came for a treaty: had a show planned for the family: RANDEER BEING TORTURED!!! tanvi immediately stops them and Tamarik, children and zahid and bennua are DISGUSTED with the torture, he buys the elephant and gives him back to Tanvi!!!
Bennua and tanvi share confessions in the bathinroom: the queen is worried about her children and tells her about her past!!!
Tamarik took Tanvi to a place where youth 'hang' he kissed a prostitute and she became enraged - 'You have no self-worth, you hair is STUPID' he cut his hair!!
Tamarik takes her on a date: FLYING CARPET!!!! Soo romantic, takes to the oasis!!! But she is punished by the master servant: wipped!!! Tamarik tortured him for her, Zahid and bennua banished the abuser!!! Ameera healed her- she is Alshams, asks her to cut her hair (looks like TOSHANA!!!) CRYING
-because of tam's behaviour Zahid made his brother Ahmed commander, he is enraged and almost hits his father!!!! Ashamed he flees, tanvi and his brothers go to look for him- in a dirty home... he doesn't wants to go back, only Tanvi can break throug his walls, he is afraid his father doesn't want/love him anymore!! EMOTIONAL SCENE between zahid and tam, Zahid missed him as much as Tam missed his father!!! THE EMOTIONS!!!
he tells her about his panic attacks and is extremely afraid to hurt her and shuts her out the whole time- HUGE FIGHT!!!!
-vihaan is in Ashana HER BETROTHED!!! Emotional scene with the family!!! But she has a duty to her people...
takes her back to Parbai, he invited the royal family to their wedding.
she eavesdropped: vihaan wanted to KILL HER, he has an alliance to the rebels, killed her people and her PARENTS!!! he plans to poison Tamarik so he can win Tanvi back and be the ruler!!!
She is caught and thrown into the dungeon: HER PARENTS ARE THERE TOO!!! she uses her powers to break free, she barges in and toom the goblet from Tamarik AT THE LAST MOMENT!!! she almost immediately DIES!!!! HEARTBREAKING SCENE!!!
she is in the afterlife, Alshams gives her the choice to go back!!! She does so for ameera, her sister, and Tamarik!!!
EMOTIONAL SCENE!!! Tamarik asks her to marry him!!!!
Months later the wedding has arrived!!!
Romantic scene!!! And lovely scenes with the family, larissa is back and in love with the boy!!
But she is kidnapped by Vihaan!!! He is going to cut her tongue so she can't use her magic!!! Tamarik saved her just in time, HUGE FIGHT!!! but because of the emotions Vihaan KILLED TAM!!! OMG NOOOO I DON'T ACCEPT THIS!!!
She uses all her magic (thinks of a story) and is freed, healed and Tam is alive again!!! A MIRACLE!!!! tam killed Vihaan and they return to the Palace, EMOTIONAL SCENE!!!
They are getting married!!! AT LAST!!! Zahid's wedding gift: he allows storytelling again in ashana!!!! Bennua sets her worries aside and gives her children their freedom: go live your life my children' zahra can be an assassin, caspir can look for his pack!! EMOTIONAL SCENE!!!
ahmed tells his parents about him being gay, he is extremely scared, but they don't mind one bit, knew since he was a child and have always loved him, THE FEELS!!!!
they ride to their tent in the oasis and have a ROMANTIC PASSIONATE SCENE!!!
After, Tam finally opens up about his past: when he was 6, bandits killed his father, raped and killed his mother and molested him!!! He was left for dead for days!! Until Sultan zahid found him, healed him, took care of him and adopted him (he is his hero) THE EMOTIONS ARE UNREAL!!!
He finally breaks down and lets it all out!!! HEARTBREAKING SCENE
Tanvi will get him through so he can take care of her, they take care of ech other and promise to love each other forever more!!! THE FEELS OMG

This is the book I didn't think I needed. I am so happy Megan Linski has delved back into the world of the Kingdom Saga! I was not ready to say goodbye to these characters, and being able to see them grown was a treat. The focus of this book are on the children of the original duo, now Queen Bennua and Sultan Zahid. We are first introduced to a new character of a princess from another land. Her name is Tanvi with abilities that I wish I had. How neat would it be to tell a tale and have it come to life?! Well, readers will get to see this in Dawn of Embers. Following along with Tanvi as she tries to pick up the pieces of her life after everything is taken from her, she finds herself in the kingdom of our original duo and she meets all of their children, most now grown to adults themselves. One particular man stands out to her, the eldest son of the king and queen, Prince Tamarik, who is known as the Mad Stallion of Ashana. I loved the interactions Tanvi has with all the characters, especially Tamarik, and I love how this story gives us all a glimpse into this world again.

I absolutely loved this series and reading this book seeing the Queen and Sultan make it like coming home to old friends. Man how they have grown yet stayed the same. I had to giggle at their banter it felt familiar, just like this story did, and not in a bad way. This author writes a book that has you with heart palpitations and feels for the characters. Makes you want to jump inside the story and rescue them cos the rescue doesn't happen soon enough. And then of course tears of utter relief when it all comes to a head. These two are perfect for each other as she gets a handle on her magic and how strong it actually is. As she finds friends and love in the midst of her sorrow. How he comes to term with his differences, anger, pain and his past. I loved loved floved this book and I kinda got deep feels for the author too.

This is a dazzling installment in one of my favorite series. It was wonderful to return to Sahrahan and revisit my favorite characters. Dawn From Embers takes place a generation later, focusing instead on Bennua and Zahid's adopted children and the new handmaiden Tanvi. Each of the teens has their own story line and it's fascinating to meet them all. That said, the book (about the same as the rest of the series) is way too short. I felt as though each character's story was glazed over and the "almost" ending seemed rushed. I hope we get more books in the series with these new characters.

Princess Tanvi and Prince Tamarik couldn't be more different. Or are they? They come from different worlds, yet seem so close. This story is full of action and adventure, love and loss. Grab your copy today. I highly recommend this series. The books just keep getting better and better. This author knows how to grab your attention and keep it there. I just had to keep turning the pages to see what happened next.
