The action starts on page one! This book starts right in where The Stranger Next Door ends.... Cece is determined to find her brother, Levi, so Decon calls in a favor and in walks Special Agent Sadie Buchanan. Sadie specializes in retrieving hostages and is just the right person to help but in order to do so she must infiltrate a criminal camp embedded deep in the Tennessee wilderness. And there she meets Flynn, an undercover ATF agent that has been accepted into the groups highest leadership. The big question for Sadie is can she trust him? This book will have you at the edge of your seat as Sadie and Flynn face extreme danger in not only trying to complete their missions but to also stay alive while doing it! Excellent read Ms. Webb!
Debra Webb has done it again! This book is part of her ongoing Winchester Series. It is categorized as Romantic Suspense and it definitely does the genre justice. The characters are complex and wonderful. You keep turning the pages because you want to see what happens next but then, you want to slow down because you don’t want it to end. The reader will find themselves becoming more entranced by the town of Winchester the more you read this series.
I personally can’t wait for the next book in this series! I have loved every minute I have spent there!
If you haven’t read Debra Webb, you should. If you have, you’ll love these books!
The Safest Lies by Debra Webb was the sequel to The Stranger Next Door and it answers the questions that the reader is left with in that book. I really enjoyed Sadie and the spunk she had as an FBI agent who had no fear when entering a situation that she had no idea what she was going to face. As for Flynn he was one of those characters you were not sure if you could trust or not but he was sexy as heck so you had no choice but to be drawn to him. This story was very interesting and kept the reader guessing on who they could trust and what was really going on for a good part of the book so that added to the intrigue of the story. I was a bit disappointed that it lacked in the romance area but I guess being stuck in a extremist compound it is a bit hard to get the romance going on. Overall, I enjoyed this book and enjoyed how this part of the Winchester mystery got dealt with. I am giving The Safest Lies five out of five stars.
This one was literally action from the start. Winchester Tennessee is getting a lot of action. I really enjoyed this one and it literally dived in where The Stranger Next Door ended.
Cece needs help finding her brother. She finds help in her new love interest. That’s where Sadie comes in, infiltration and extractions are her speciality. Now who to trust is the answer of the hour.
There is not a book by this author that I don’t devour.
This is such a neat book. It has such neat twists and turns. You never know which way you will go with Debra Webb. The story begins with the meeting of Special agent Sadie Buchanan and the sheriff. She helps him to find someone in a criminal camp deep in the mountains. She does this without sanction. In the camp she meets Flynn. Let the games begin. This is a interesting story. For there is a second plot to this in away. For there is what Flynn wants to do. But there is a 2nd player that works with Flynn but is he really doing that. Its a great cat and mouse book. The ending is a great surprise. The way the book works is kinda neat as a whole. The way it has twists and turns it keeps you guessing to the end. I can't wait til the next book in this series comes. J
3.25 stars Nice. Glad it was different from all the other books ending with "I love you and let's get married" part and rather ended with the couple deciding to explore if they could have a relationship.
FBI Agent Sadie Buchanan is a recovery specialist. Her specialty is getting hostages out of dangerous situations and home. She’s very good at her job, but this case is different. She is dealing with a particularly dangerous group of people.
I liked this book. I particularly liked the characters Sadie and Flynn, although I wasn't sure for a long time whose side Flynn was on. There was action, suspense and a romance. This was a very fast read, I finished it in a couple hours, couldn’t put it down!
Book 4 of Debra Webb's A Winchester, Tennessee Thriller. This is a story of a FBI agent, Sadie Buchanan, going undercover on a retrieval mission. She is the best at this type of mission. The group called Resurrection, are anonymous but ruthless gun running, sex trafficking, possibly drug trade extremist preppers. They have been invisible to all efforts by ATF and FBI. The FBI undercover agent that tried to expose and stop them has been missing for a long time and feared dead. One of the informants working with the missing agent, Levi Winters, has disappeared and Sadie's job is to get him back safely. If he is still alive. Infiltrating into this dangerous group of well hidden extremists is not so hard. Getting out alive with her subject in tow is going to be one of her most difficult assignments. . Hidden inside a mountain their headquarters has effectively gone undetected. Their leader is greedy and rules with fear, torture, slavery and murder. No one going in comes out. Sadie has never failed in the past. Blindfolded as they brought her in, locked in a concrete room that closely resembles a prison, deep in a mountain it seems she realizes this extraction will require all of her skills. One of the top council members, Smith Flynn is put in charge of finding out what Sadie's real reason for wanting in the group. He is extremely well versed in ways to get the truth from people. He is feared by all and works directly with the leader of this group. Things go wrong at every turn and Sadie wonders if this will be the one she doesn't survive. Thank you For allowing me to read this Advanced Reader Copy. This is my honest opinion I enjoyed this book. There is constant action and drama to keep you totally engaged.
I received a Arc copy in return for my honest opinion in a review. Are the safest lies is the next after The Stranger next door a Winchester Tennessee Thriller, I was ecstatic that there was another one after The Stranger next door, the safest lies is Moore outdoors they are deep in the Tennessee Wilderness which is very hectic and never knowing what's around the next tree it makes it more interesting and even a little bit more exciting in my opinion still Debra Webb was able to throw in a little romance that kept you on your seat wanting to know how it ends between Sadie and Flynn. There's danger around every corner will they make it out safe pick up the book and read you will not be disappointed!
Flynn Smith is an ATF agent who has been deep under cover within the Resurrection group for 2 years. When Sadie, an FBI agent with specialized skills of finding people no one else can find, gets herself into the same group in order to find Levi, the youngest brother of a woman who spent 8 years in prison for murdering their father, Flynn is not only suspicious of her, he is intensely attracted to her. The people in this 'end of days' group are as out there as possible. They not only believe that Armageddon will happen soon, they believe that it is their job to take over the world when it happens! Survival has little to do with this group. They are all about power and control. Flynn knows that and, has already accepted that he may not survive. Problem is that he now knows that he must, not only get Katie out of this horrible place, he has to also get Levi out. You see, Sadie is as bullheaded as Flynn and, will not leave without completing her mission! Fascinating and, at times scary, you can't put this book down!!!
Agent Sadie Buchanan is called in to retrieve a hostage in a criminal camp deep in the wilderness, the only way she can do it is to infiltrate with the criminals. She is good at her job, but will she be able to get out with both the hostage and her alive? She is unexpectantly being helped by one of the leaders of the group, can she trust him or is he trying to trick her? This is another page turner by Ms. Webb that keeps the twists and turns coming. Don't miss this series!
I received a copy of The Safest Lies from Debra Webb and volunteered to provide a review. This was a fabulous book! Suspense at every turn, written beautifully, could not put it down!!!! Cannot wait for the next book. This is a book that anyone from teen to elderly would enjoy. Debra Webb will always get my vote when it comes to fabulous books. Enjoy! 📚
Still in Winchester, Tennessee called in by Agent Deacon Ross to help find Cece Winters brother Levi. When help does arrive Agent Sadie Buchanan gets briefed on what has happened she decides how to handle it and Cece is willing to help out. But there Is an FBI Agent that is also that that no know about. It is a very interesting steady moving don't want to put down book.
Debra Webb has knocked it out of the park again with her latest Winchester, TN romantic mystery/suspense! THE SAFEST LIES is about an FBI agent trying to rescue a young man named Levi from a cult in the deep woods and mountains near Winchester. Sadie is a capable agent, intelligent and more than willing to risk her life to save others. In her rescue efforts, Sadie meets Smith Flynn, a member of the cult who may not be who he seems. Sadie wants to know more about Smith and also wants to get out of the Resurrection group alive. The latter may be more difficult than she had counted on since the leader of the group is not just ruthless; he is just plain crazy! This book will capture the reader’s attention from the first page and make you want to just keep turning the pages until you find out what happens to Sadie, Smith and Levi. Fans of Debra Webb and those who enjoy romantic suspense with a healthy dose of suspense will thoroughly enjoy this book!

I don’t know how she does it, but each Winchester, Tennessee book gets better and better. Sadie goes in at great danger to herself to find Levi. The atrocities she sees and insured would make someone give up, but not Sadie. Now if she can only figure out Flynn. Nonstop action, suspense, and nail biting reactions will keep you reading until the end. Remember to breathe. Definitely 5 stars.
Sadie Buchanan must infiltrate a criminal camp in wilds of Tennessee with a stranger she cannot begin to figure out. As she and Flynn move into acute danger nothing is clear and survival seems remote. This book is riveting from first page till surprising conclusion. I highly recommend this awesome read by Debra Webb. Her name on a book cover guarantees excellence.
The Safest Lies by Debra Webb is phenomenal! I was sure that there was not going to be a light at the end of the tunnel for the two protagonists. I thought they were both doomed from the beginning to end. The ending really surprised me. Of course, the heroes have to win, but I still thought their chances of survival was slim to none. Debra Webb has a knack for dark suspense edgy books. Her writing is excellent. I was instantly in deep. The female protagonist is an undercover FBI agent who goes into a job that literally has no way to get the hell out of...however, there is the male protagonist who I was not sure if he was a bad guy turning into a good guy or one of the good guys. The ending finally solved that for me. So much horror, pain, loss, and danger that I felt it all. I was with the characters thinking that there would be no positive way out of the deadly danger they were found themselves stuck within. Literally, it was deep underground cell of crazy, deadly, greedy men who were just pure evil. The hero's background floored me completely. Overall, if you're looking for action, fast tempo, and full of suspense this is a must read. I loved it!
I bought this book from my library's used book sale. This is my. voluntary review.
Without fail Debras Webb does it again! The mystery and suspense continuous in Winchester County. Will Sadie make it out alive? Will Sadie find Cecelia Winters brother Levi alive or will she find him dead? Meanwhile her colleague Ross is determined to find his friend Jack Kemp. Where does he fit in all of this? Will the mystery be forever dead and buried or with the truth come to light. Sadie is taking a big risk to retrieve a hostage from a camp that is so hidden that even the FBI, ATF, NTF, and all the police force can’t seem to find it. She makes a bold move to find the person who could answer her questions and take her to their camp so she can complete the mission. But....somewhere along the way her reasons for being there gets discovered and she almost blows another agent’s cover that she didn’t know was there. The question Sadie had to ask herself....can she trust the other agent to help her find Levi and maybe Jack Kemp..the missing FBI agent.
I received an ARC copy of this book and my thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is the fourth book in the Winchester, Tennessee series and each book seems to get better and better. I'm so glad I found my way back to Debra Webb.
The characters are great (even the ones you love to hate)!!! We are taken on an adventure with drug dealing, sex trafficking, cults, daring rescues with lots of twists and turns.
This is a fast paced, page turning read and if you love romantic suspense/thrillers than you are in for a sweet surprise.
You have Special Agent Sadie Buchanan who has to go in off the records, to retrieve Levi Winters who is being held hostage. This camp is deep in the wilderness of Winchester, Tenn. She lets herself get capture and meets Flynn who is also undercover for two years in this group. There is a lot of history here for Flynn. Sadie and Flynn click, but can she trust him.
Page turner. You also have Sheriff Tanner and chief of police Brannigan mention in this book.
Another great fast paced ,pulse pounding thriller suspense, FBI agent Sadie puts her life on the line to save Levi Winters from a underground crime ridden camp its almost cult like they way they operate, she has to put her trust in Flynn who is also a undercover agent she's not aware of. Both have agendas to infiltrate this camp .Really good read , part of a series .
When a member of a local church goes missing and is suspected to have been captured by an off-the-rails survivalist group, FBI Agent Sadie Buchanan is called in to retrieve him. Off the record. But when she realizes she has an ally on the inside, it's a race to get back to civilization so the group can be apprehended.
This is latest book by Debra Webb about the small town of Winchester, Tennessee and continues the story of the quest by Cecelia Winters to discover the truth about who murdered her father. Great story that keeps you guessing until the very end!
I like Debra Webb and have read many of her books and so far the Winchester, Tennessee series kept me coming back. This one did not work for me. Maybe the subject matter and all the ugly torture did me in.
Debra Webb has a knack when writing to keep you guessing until the end. This one had a lot of suspense, twist and turns with an end I didn't see coming. In my opinion this is one of the best in the series.
You got another great story in this book. I loved it Debra, great book. This was a sure story of twists and turns that you never see coming at you. Thanks for another great book.
