Michael, the sexy archangel who says all the right things.
Gabriel, the party boy with abs of steel.
And Lucifer, the devil in the sack.
Sure, it's hard to juggle the three of them, but Jane wouldn't have it any other way. Or would she?
When a new case opens at a local beach resort, netting Jane and her three sexy angels a free all-expenses paid vacation if she can catch the crooks, well, Jane just might find she enjoys the simple pleasures of free margaritas, shirtless hotties, and massages.
When New York Times Bestselling author, J. A. Cipriano was in second grade, his teacher gave everyone in class a journal to write down whatever they wanted. Their first subject was to write about something they didn’t like. J. A. chose to write about why he didn’t like writing. His reasoning was simple. He had bad handwriting. Even then, he was destined to be an engineer due to his messy scrawl.
Unfortunately, he found through the course of this little adventure that he actually liked writing. That year was sort of the high point for his writing career because he won a writing contest for the state. He got to go to a big dinner and his teacher was all dressed up.
He kept writing little stories, year after year, and in sixth grade, won another contest. In seventh grade, he broke his arm and got the cast signed by both Dean Koontz and Stan Lee. It is, by far, the coolest cast he’s owned. That was about the time he found video games and anime. His writing turned mostly toward fanfiction until about ninth grade when he wrote his first novel, a small book about twenty thousand words called Revelations. In sophomore year, he wrote two more books to complete the trilogy because he saw Star Wars that year and learned trilogies were the cool thing to do.
He rewrote Revelations during his senior year, and his wife swears it is the best thing he’s written. J.A. is not so sure. Every time he reads it, he cringes, but then again, he hates everything he writes, so there is that.
It was about that time, he got heavily involved in a fanfiction writing group, but that isn’t one hundred percent accurate. It was a world based on a popular anime but everything was created especially for this world. It made it so that every story someone wrote was unique.
Imagine writing a Star Wars novel set 1,000 years after A New Hope, where everything that happened was a distant memory and you get the idea. You have the force, some distant memories of the past, and that’s pretty much it.
He wrote about a million words (863K to be exact) for them before he decided to do his own thing. He wrote another novel. He put it in a drawer. He wrote another one that eventually became the basis for The Hatter is Mad. His next novel was Kill It With Magic, his first real novel. It’s not bad, but it’s bumpy. This is unfortunate because the books get loads better as the series progresses.
Since then, he’s written six more novels, four of which are in the Lillim Callina Series, and one in the Abby Banks series. The other is stuck in a drawer for time undetermined. He’s writing his next book now which is about werewolves fighting mummies in Ancient Egypt. After that, he will move onto Abby Banks 2. The Spy Within will come out in June or July.
J.A. also has three chinchillas. Two of them are grey, and because of this, they are named Slate and Cadmium. The third is named Jet because he’s black, and Jet is old English for black. See, creative. He also has a cat named Turtle. This does pose problems for his two-year-old from time to time.
Not anywhere near as strong as the first book. Angels went from being helpful in the investigation to eye candy and the main character spent more of her time taking advantage of the spa than trying to investigate.
Not recommend.
Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...
1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.
2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.
3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.
4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.
5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.
Last week I might have had this book open at least three times already, but for some reason there was always something else getting in between. However, I was really looking forward to this book, since book one was so incredibly funny and entertaining and I couldn't wait to figure out more and to see more of these characters. However, since the deadline for the Booksprout review is coming closer now, it had to be read today.
And once more this book was a really enjoyable read from start to finish. More than once I've been laughing out loud or chuckling and I didn't even count how often I smiled. Jane is such an amusing and entertaining character. She's the kind of person that we all secretly want to be, not afraid to say what she thinks, no filter, pestering people who actually sort of deserve it, but none of us really dares to be this person, because we all know it's gonna have consequences we don't want to deal with.
Reading about Jane and her guys therefore feels a little like a guilty pleasure. We all know that maybe we shouldn't like Jane so much and maybe we should have an opinion on archangels mingling with humans without telling her exactly what they do and what's going on. However, we all just can't help it. The guys are too funny and cute to dislike and although Jane is certainly annoying to other characters, I can't bring myself to dislike her at all.
On top of that there is a plot that's quite amusing too. Just like in the first book the mystery isn't too complicated or prominent, but it adds that little bit extra to the story. It makes this story just that little bit more. Especially because solving the mystery and dealing with all the boyfriend-drama doesn't always go hand-in-hand. When we reached the solution of this mystery, however, I really had to laugh out loud. Want to know why? You'll have to read this book for yourself!
Jane is back with her three men and things are getting good! They've figured out how to gain corporeal bodies and boy are they taking advantage of it! Let the fun begin! New task? Prove to Jane that they are interested in her for more than just sex! Dating times three with three sexy men! Can you say green with envy?! LOL With the help of the guys she's now working her own "Psychic" business and has said "so long" to the bar. But she better buckle up because she's about to get new visitors and they are far from pleased with what she has going on with her two angels and one demon. This is the second book in Erin Bedford's series and I absolutely LOVED it! I couldn't put this book down and devoured it in no time. If you have read the first book in this series then grab this book! You will LOVE it! This book is a hands down 5 out of 5 stars!
I am a bit upset with our heroine! Not sure what happened from book one to book two but she somehow let her lady bits rule over responsibilities. Is it possible her angels are just too much for her to handle?
Jane took the leap and opened her own psychic detective agency. Things are starting out a bit slow but all good things take time. Our quadruple has figured out how to move forward with their relationship and are making their way through uncharted waters full of new feelings and experiences.
I will admit here her first case, outside of the police department, made absolutely no sense though it did keep to the theme. I was also a bit disappointed in her personality change. Yeah, she was always a bit snarky but I never felt like she was verbally abusive - have to say in a couple of scenes I paused for a moment. I felt a bid bad for our guys. I wanted to cuddle up with them and reassure them. This was all a new experience for them, physically and emotionally, and at times they were having a little trouble navigating their feelings.
A quick beach read (I couldn't resist) filled with Lots of hilarity Mystery A few "aww" moments and let us not forget the fiery hot smexy moments
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
We have more mysteries to solve. The characters are entertaining and funny. We get to see more of Jane’s three angels. The angels now know how to become corporal with Jane’s help. Lucifer, Gabriel, and Michael take turns being with Jane. We also have a visit from a mysterious angel at the end, definitely intrigued. Hopefully we learn more about this angel in the third I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Note: I received an advanced review copy in exchange for my honest review. If you aren't aware, this is the 2nd book in the 'Her Angels' series. Doesn't mean you can't enjoy this book if you haven't read the first book – but you'll enjoy the characters and get some of the funny moments I think MORE if you have read the first. (It literally will mean enjoying this book more). It's written by both Erin Bedford & J.A. Cipriano – both great authors.
All the characters you loved from the first are back, ok the main ones that is – Jane and her 3 Angels are back to solve crime and have sexy moments together. (No, this is not spoilers...this is literally the synopsis of the series) You have your sassy, snarky, sexy Jane and 3 HOT – smoking- HOT Angels Lucifer, Gabriel & Michael. I love the moments where the angels react to each other, it very much always leads to me laughing some point. I found myself reading almost non-stop as best I could (a few pages here, a chapter there, several chapters in bed) as it kept me interested to find out how the job Jane worked on would end up, and literally where things would keep going in her relationships...which for me, is a major plus of any book I'm reading.
Overall you have sexy moments; moments where you're trying to figure out "who done it", moments where you're laughing because of something funny said or happened, and moments that guarantee some smart-ass comments of our main lady Jane...literally many reasons why I enjoyed this book and continue to enjoy the series. So: -if you haven't read the first book and this all sounds great: then definitely pick it up for yourself and get reading! -If you've read the first book and enjoyed it as I did – then this one will be right up to part with the 1st book Heaven's Embrace. -If you aren't familiar with the first book, have come upon this one, I highly suggest reading the 1st THEN this one, as it's just better. -If it's none of these situations...and you've come across my review somehow and if you're a fan of either author I recommend reading the series, period – it's become one of my favourites of both Erin Bedford & J.A. Cipriano.
This is book two of the Her Angels series and sees Jane Mehr working out of her new offices for her business called Gotcha!, a psychic detective agency, following her successful first job for the Blessed Falls Police Department. She thought she would be inundated with customers, but it is some time until her first one calls. A very wealthy woman called Daphne Garrett believes she has ghosts in her mansion that have taken some silver candlesticks, but it’s really a normal human thief. Now she just has to figure out who! She has her three angels to help with basic responses to her questions, Michael who has hyper perception, Lucifer who is basically a lie detector and Gabriel who is a seer and can see into the past, present and future. She then gets offered a job by the police department again as her best friend Detective Mandy Stevenson and Detective O’Connor have a murder to solve, as well as a series of robberies at the Blessed Falls Spa Resort, which they don’t have time to do.
Jane sees it as a chance to relax and sunbathe on the beach with her pick of three angels to keep her company, as well as try out a load of the spa benefits. She is really supposed to be trying to catch a prolific thief and does eventually get on the case. She also gets to spend some time with her angels on individual dates, or at least she tries, but sometimes her work interferes or they get called away. She does manage to come up with some suspects after going undercover on the job, but a date ends in disaster when she discovers one of her main suspects dead. She’s enjoying herself far too much with her handsome angels to worry too much about catching a thief and now a murderer, but does still manage to make a slight income in the end. Her enjoyment of the spa resort comes back to kick her in the back. When she returns home another surprise arrives and there may be trouble ahead. Another raunchy tale with Jane and her angels, but also a little bit of investigating alone the way as well. I look forward to finding out what happens to Jane and her men in the next book. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
This is book two in the Her Angels series. It's funny, witty, hot and very entertaining. I love Jane and her sarcastic humor. This book really needs to be read as part of the series in order. While each book has an ending and you’re not really left hanging, the story Jane and her angels spans across multiple books. The best way to put it is that each book has a case that Jane is working on which is tied up by the end of the book but her relationship with Michael, Gabriel, and Lucifer span across multiple books and is continuing to grow and evolve so it won't make sense if you read them out of order.
Jane and her boys are on the case of another crime the cops need help solving. They ask Jane to use her "psychic" abilities to help them find the person who is stealing from the guests at a spa in town. To do this Jane needs to go undercover as a guest at the resort. As if that’s any major hardship for her. So, she goes shopping (something she hates doing) for some new clothes, packs her bags and heads off to the resort with her angels following her there. Her boys take turns helping her out with the case and spend time with her and taking her out on dates. Jane is also coming to terms with her relationship with her angels but there are fractions in heaven that think they shouldn’t be with Jane. This is causing issues but the guys want to keep Jane in the dark about it. What kind of trouble will Jane find this time?

🛡️🛡️ONE TANTALIZING THRILL🛡️🛡️ Blazing britches! The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Remarkable job guys, thanks for sharing this awesome little gem with us.
Jane can see archangels - Michael, Lucifer and Gabriel - each with their own skills and talents. It's not easy to juggle at three so she gives each of them the right level of attention, but she wouldn't have it any other way. When a new case opens at a local beach resort and she gets an expenses paid vacation and all she needs to do is catch the crooks what's not to love about it. Only the fact that she really does still have to solve the case......
Another great story about Jane and her archangels. I love the way she is so human in the way she acts and behaves (even if she does have a weird sense of humour and a mouth with no volume button at times). The mystery with the crimes was suitably complex while the complications caused by Jane and the guys added seamlessly into the story and the way it developed. I loved the ending and what it promises for the next story and can't wait to read that. Well written and very enjoyable. Easy to understand and empathise with the characters. All I can say is I feel sorry for her best friend Mandy and it is just as well she loves her enough to cope with her sense of humour/personality.
Three hot angels... A murder mystery... And secrets are about to be unravelled...
Another hilarious, heavenly, delicious and sexy addition to this series! What a journey - the humour, the mystery and the sexy angels. Could not get enough of these characters.
The MC spends more time with her men - this time actually having dates and some questions are answered about her special ability. Looking forward to the next book for more mystery, mayhem and answers.
These authors write some brilliant words together. Such a perfect writing duo!
The heroine still needs character development, I love her though I would really love to see some growth in her character because I did get annoyed at times with her. Fingers crossed this growth happens.
Full of angels, special abilities, attraction, mystery, humour, secrets, crime and romance.
Perfect for readers of paranormal reverse harem romances/fantasy romances.
This is book 2 to Her Angels and it’s even better than the 1st book. Jane has her own private detective agency but no ones been wanting her services until a woman walks in and says that she has a ghost. The angels Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer still hang around Jane and still make her crazy but at least they know how to go solid but I’m not going to tell you how it’s done, this time Janevis working for the police at a swanky spa resort and of course her angels are with her. I loved these stories and I loved Jane she is really something that girl she’s so funny and she’s a fantastic character and she really gets the job done with the help of her angels. If your looking for a story that’s full of snark, sexy and funny then this series is for you, I hope that these two authors write more of this series it’s absolutely fantastic it’s a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
I had wrongly expected a detective agency, mystery type book when I first grabbed this (and the other two books in the series) for review. Jane was able to leave her work at the bar and open her own fake psychic agency using archangel talents to get her information. The focus is not actually on a good mystery but on Jane’s ability to see archangels, namely Michael, Gabriel, and Lucifer. In the beginning, they had been incorporeal (i.e. no physical touching). But when she found a way to make them corporeal, the book took a different direction than I find intriguing. Because it bothers me, I’m not going to pry any deeper than this cursory discussion.
If you think this sounds like your kind of book, enjoy. As for me, I’m bailing out since I don’t appreciate themes of messing around with archangels and would not find this as amusing as others may.
This is the second book in this series co-written by a couple of my favorite authors. As with the first book, I found Jane to be fun and witty, and yes, she is still very frustrated, but in a new way. In this installment, she is starting to settle down, and trying to make a living at her new agency. While I really wish Jane would take her career a little more seriously, I have to admit that it is part of her charm. Add to her trying to start settling down, she is getting closer to her men. However, there are forces she doesn’t know about that might hinder her relationships. I enjoyed this book, and I really liked the further character development. I can’t wait to see where the next book will take us. Highly recommend! I was provided the e-book which I reviewed voluntarily.
All the guys or shall I say angels are now able to be corporeal with just a little bit of Jane's blood. Now to prove to Jane that they just don't only want her for sex, Michael, Lucifer and Gabriel all decide to date her one at a time. This is still really funny even with murders and bad things happening. Jane has quite working ar the bar and is now working for the police as a psychic. Also she's getting some attention and work at her business Psychic Detective Agency. Them men are still lusting after her, but do care for her too. At the end other Angel's are appearing and not all are happy with Jane's relationships.

Ok so after the success in the last book Jane and her angels are off to the spa to relax ......
Only joking, Jane is going undercover again as a psychic consultant/PI helping out once more her friend in the police department. Cue more hilarity, hot sauce and horny angels (mmmm). With Jane being human though they are trying to find out what it all means that she can hear and see them and that her blood can make them corporeal. Good news is she helped Mandy out, bad news ........ Well that would be telling I can't wait for book 3 and what mischief Jane and her Angels will get up to next, we might even find out if O'Connor will ever warm up to Jane or not (I'm betting not lol)

I was not disappointed reading this book. It was just like the first, full of humor and giggles all around. Jane takes on another case and she starts exploring her relationship with Gabriel, Michael and Lucifer. Luckily, the angels don't have a problem with sharing but they always want to be the best in her eyes, even though they are the only ones in her eyes. I can't wait to read the next book to see what else lays in store for Jane.
If you want to know more of my thoughts on the book, check out my blog post and read my thoughts on the rest of the series.

Jane runs a psychic detective agency with the help of three archangels - Gabriel, Michael, and Lucifer. The angels used to be unseen, except to her, and untouchable, but they have now figured out a way to be seen and touched and are having much to much fun with Jane... the ones up above do not like it at all. The mystery they need to solve for the police is at the local spa so they go undercover and things go haywire from there. Suspense comes at them from on Earth and from up above as they try to figure out the clues. The sex gets very hot and steamy and the storyline is nice and vivid. Overall, another great story in the series.

This is the second book in "Her Angels " Series. If you haven't read the first book I would recommend reading it before this so you will understand this better. Jane receives an offer to help find a killer. She is offered a full expense vacation to have fun and most important look for the killer too.She enlists the help of her angels, This book was as funny as the first time. And there's some hot sexy times. If you want to find out if Jane and her angels find the killer you will have to read it. You wont regret it.

Jane’s new psychic detective agency hasn’t exactly been turning clients away and she’s still bartending to make ends meet. After one very well paying job, Jane is able to become a full time detective and spend her time solving mysteries. When Mandy calls to offer her a consultant job catching a burglar at a spa Jane jumps right in. Jane and her angels, now occasionally corporeal, go undercover to catch the bad guy. The mystery is fun and the angels learning to navigate the physical world are charming and sometimes comical. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Heaven's a Beach is the 2nd book of Her Angels series.
All expense paid vacation, awesome! What's the catch? Help find a killer.. In this book we follow Jane her angels to find a killer. And what a funny ride this book was! This book left me in stitches! Just as amazing as the first, which I highly recommend you read as it will help you follow Heaven's a Beach easier. There's plenty of sass, and snark. Hot sexy times with Jan'es Angels Lucifer, Michael and Gabriel. The plot is fantastic, the characters development continues! A definite must read!

Jane's having fun. She can make her guys corporeal and have her sexy times with them. She has her private detective office open and running. But no clients. Until Mandy shows up with a case in a spa. A spa!! Beach, massageurs, nice drinks. What can a girl want more? Ah, there's a crime to solve, but that's easy. In special with three archangels at her side!!
Such a funny and sexy book. Jane's a disaster and totally crazy but that makes me like her so much. That and her lack of a filter. Loving this series!!!

This is the second book in the Her Angel series and boy oh boy is it hot. Picking up right where book one ends we see that Jane has gotten herself her own business now. Plenty of laugh out loud situations, and I love how the authors kept hot sauce situations. Character development continues on a perfect scale and we see how Jane handles the fact that she can now physically touch her angels. Jane still has that snarky attitude as well as no filter on her mouth, which tends to cause complications at times. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Jane is so funny and witty. I absolutely love her style. She would be my bf if we met in real life I believe. I really enjoy watching Jane solve the mysteries and her budding relationships with her sexy angels. The sexy time is amazing and I can’t wait to see if what Jame puts on the table come to play. This series does not disappoint. If you like sexy time with comedic relief then you will love this book.

Follow Jane's new adventure, where she has to solve another mystery and deal with her three hot angels as well. Funny moments and romance alternate throught the plot, making this a highly enterntaining read. Apart from the mystery and Jane's relationship with Michael, Lucifer and Gabriel we get to learn more about Jane and her special abilities. I loved this installment as much as I loved the first book of the series and I'm anxiously waiting for the next!

This team will keep you in stitches. Jane is offered a paid vacation in exchange of helping to find a killer. Of course her team, Gabriel, Michael and Lucifer. The hijinks between the four continue on. Will they find the killer before s/he kills again? Will they have time to enjoy sexy times or the spa? Will they be able to top the fun from the first book? To heighten enjoyment and context, I recommend reading the first book first. The author has managed to create a delightful entertaining group of characters. I highly recommend this series. I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.
Jane is not your normal girl. No. She is not even close. She can see angels, and not just any angels, but the Archangels Michael, Gabriel, and Lucifer. Navigating murky waters with these three at her side is nothing new. But when the unexpected happens, it throws them all for the loop. With new circumstances allowing for a deeper connection between these three, things are thrown for a loop when Jane manages to land herself a new occupation. With all kind of changes happening and Jane being her normal quirky self, this story is a hoot.
