A psychotic kidnapper with a gun. A blindfolded ride to a ruthless drug dealer's compound. Torture. A slow death. These were the things that were waiting for me in the parkign lot while I worked the evening shift of what was sure to be my last day on earth. Then, he came in for dinner. He had a loud Harley-Davidson, a dry sense of humor, a contagious laugh, and seven friends. All he wanted was an enchilada dinner. But. He was my only hope. So, I handed him his meal, gestured to the parking lot, and told him my story. As he sauntered toward the parking lot no differently than he would have walked into a bar, I wondered just who this man could be. Finding the answer to that question wasn't as easy as a person might think. But it was the best ride of my life. ATAND-ALONE, HEA, NO CHEATING, NO ABUSE

Hildreth’s MC Romance books have run the gamut. We’ve seen bikers being bikers, bikers being single dads, bikers being lovers, and bikers being authors. The books with bikers being bikers are by far (in my opinion) Hildreth’s best work.

In RENO, we’re back to the basics—bikers being bikers, and doing so at their biker best. We’ve got brotherhood, friendship, camaraderie, and bad-boy swagger. Poker runs, parties, drunken outings, and long talks about life in the clubhouse.

RENO brings back a few old faces with Crip, Pee Bee, Smokey, P-Nut, Cholo, Meat Head, and our favorite Hells Angel, Bama in more than cameo appearances. (for what it’s worth, Crip is the main ancillary character).

Okay, back to the book.

Out of the gate, we learn that Carma, the heroine, is an illegal from Mexico. Her family is two generations removed from Spain, and was living in Mexico, but left the country in hope of escaping a ruthless drug lord that their daughter was tangled up with.

Insert Reno (the man, not the book). When Carma needs help ridding herself of said drug lord, Reno steps up to the plate.

What transpires in nothing short of gut-wrenching, spectacular, and heartwarming. There are peaks and valleys in both our hero and heroine’s lives in the process, but the ride is fan-fucking-tastic.

Character growth on both the character’s parts is spot-on. There are no silly issues, no plot holes, nor are there tropes on tropes on tropes. Only life as life is.

Difficult.

Seeing the men come together as a group to solve problems that one man alone can’t resolve is enough to cause one to stand and cheer. The sex is amazing, real, and funny at times (water, extension cords, and a wet bathroom floor make for an interesting shower scene), and the problems faced by the couple are real life concerns men and women in this series of circumstances certainly would have been facing.

In short, this is a must-read for anyone wanting a REAL Motorcycle Club Romance. It takes you on a high-speed ride and doesn’t let off the throttle until the climactic ending.

It’s a ride you do t want to miss, that’s for sure.

RENO deserves not a 5-star review, but a fucking meteor shower.

I am in love with Reno. He is the ultimate male, tall, hot, tatted and alpha. Reno has a heart of gold and will do anything for the people he cares about and Carma just happens to catch his eye. Reno and the guys stop for a meal where Carma works and they hit it off.
Reno is a vet with PTSD and feels that she won't have anything to do with him when she finds out, but Carma has her on issues. It is in the form of her ex boyfriend that just happens to be the head of the mafia. He kidnapped her when she was young and held her against her will until she ran away to the US. Carma and Reno can't think of anything but each other and things heat between them. There is only one problem, Reno has a rule of one time and he moves on. Can he do it with Carma? One time while visiting the restaurant two guys show up just as Reno was leaving. Carma couldn't believe he had found her. Once Reno realizes what's going on, it's to late and they end up dead. Now the problems just begin but Reno is determined to keep Carma safe, can he do it? Can he get over his one time rule and make a life with Carma? This is such an amazing book and I couldn't read it quick enough.

RENO, RENO, RENO….. How am I going to brag about you without giving away the amazingness of your story with Carma?????????

Y’all, I loved this story like I have not loved a story in awhile. Many parts of this story were old school Hildreth, which HELLO is always an amazing thing. But at same time there was much of this storyline that I did not see coming, that had my head spinning, my heart hurting and eyes reading as fast as possible. You know when a story has you rushing through your responsibilities so you can get back to the plotline ??? When that happens you are reading something special. RENO is something VERY SPECIAL.

I loved these characters. I was literally cheering for them, shouting at the novel as I read -- instructing the situations on the pages to STOP DAMMIT, to just let them be, can’t you see they are in love…. Yes, yes, yes, I am a tad bossy. And of course as par the course my shouting was for nothing. The author had everything under control. Mr. Hildreth out did himself on RENO, a novel that was packed cover to cover with EVERYTHING & MORE this reader needs in a novel.

I really do not want to describe Carma or Reno; honestly any details I share will IN MY OPINION give away the beauty of how this novel unwraps itself. Just read it… Discover their love story, it will open your eye and heart to the power of what love can do.

What I will share very loudly and openly is THE GANGS ALL HERE!!!!!!

OMG!!!! I ABSOULUTELY LOVE WHEN FAVORITE CHARCTERS RETURN!!!!

I truly do not know how Mr. Hildreth did it but he brilliantly woven the MC’s of California into such a real and believable story. The flow of this story is second to none.
The brotherhood of these clubs is truly a remarkable thing, and was a joy to read. OMG, if you do not fall more in love with these men, you need to call doctor.

Please gift yourself this OUTSTANDING novel. I am getting ready to plop down in my favorite chair and start my re-read, and you should too because YOU sooooo deserve it. Happy reading.
That is it, that is all I got.

Scott has done it again, Reno is a great mix of everything MC with love, humor and action all packed into one amazing story. I love that everyone had their own roll in this book, I missed Bama so much and was in love with seeing him again. Reno is a great continuation of the Devils Disciples and makes me want to go back and re read all of them and the Filthy Fuckers. I hope this is not the last we see of these two clubs and their lovely ladies.

Another book from Scott another absolutely amazing read. Carma and Reno are so perfect for each other. Their story has so many layers and Scott wrote them perfectly.

Carma has been through a great deal of trauma and is set on not getting involved with anyone because of her past and her current situation. She is working in a diner when she meets a group of bikers (Devil's Dust and Filthy F*cukers) whom she expects to be the 'sterotypical' biker but she couldn't have been more wrong, especially Reno.

Reno, a member of the Devil's Dust MC, is a Special Forces veteran suffering from his own issues from his past. He has never talked with anyone about the lasting effects of what he went through while he was in the service, but Carma enables him to be able to open up to one of his Brothers and work on trusting more, including her.

Scott wrote these characters so well. You truly felt for them when they were in pain and when they were happy and loved. The development of both of them had me sucked in from the first moment. It was great getting to see members of both the MCs through out the book, not just glimpses either. They were woven into the story beautifully.

I would recommend this book to anyone.

Wow! What a ride!

So much goodness and utter “Hildrethness” in this story!

Reno, member of the the Devils Disciples, finally gets his story!

There is so much to this story I don’t know where to begin. First I have to applaud Scott’s sensitivity and tact when it comes to military veterans. Especially combat veterans. I am married to a combat vet so I have first hand knowledge of PTSD and the challenges that face veterans when they come home from war.

I also admire how Scott is able to tackle real world issues in a way that you can see both sides of the issue. It is a fine line to balance and Scott does so, beautifully.

The humor in this story is fantastic! I loved reading about past characters from his books! It was like a mini biker reunion and we were all invited!

And lets not forget the love story between Reno and Carma! It’s edgy, it’s sweet and I love how Scott writes his heroines to be just as badass as his heroes!

You cannot go wrong with a Scott Hildreth story! I fell in love hard with Reno. You will too!

So much more

Oh my gosh! This book deserves sooooo much more than just 5 stars. Reno, such a man, this book hit on so much about war that I have seen from my own loved ones. And Carma. I felt her worry as it was my own. I was so glad they were able to see past the others "flaws" and be with each otber. Can't wait for more from these guys

Carma is a badass. I love this chick so freaking much. She has a history that's not great and she's still not out of the woods. Her past wants her back and it doesn't matter how he gets her.
Reno is pretty damn awesome himself, he's got some issues and doesn't always handle them the way he should but he's a guy so we'll let it slide. But he's that guy, the one that would give you the shirt off his back, would step into traffic to save a puppy or shoot a man to save a stranger.
Their story has a few kinks thrown in, some you don't see coming, but Carma & Reno kind of go with the flow figuring it out as they go along.
Crip, PeeBee, Baker and others are also in the book. All you have to say is PeeBee to me an I'd coming running but it was great having so many familiar faces involved in this book.
I don't want to give anything away, there's an issue dealt with in this book that I wasn't sure I was going to be okay with, it's controversial but I was happy to see the guys view on it was the same as mine.
I'm not telling the story here, I don't want to spoil it for anyone. Reno is as expected a great read, funny at times, serious at others and a thoroughly enjoyable read.
I read it in hours and loved every minute of it.
Another 5 star addition to the series.

FABULOUS! SO PERFECT

I just finished Reno and my face hurts from smiling so much. This book was such a joy to read. Not only are the characters amazing, but the content is flawless.

Carma and Reno are at the top of my DDMC couples list. Carma is very strong and sassy and has so many fun qualities. Reno is the epitome of protective alpha. Both characters are fun and sexy.

Merging the FFMC and DDMC had to be one of the best ideas yet. You can never go wrong with Peebee, Crip, Baker, Cash, Bama, Tito, Goose, and the rest of the crews all in one place. You know you are going to get a GREAT story because these characters can't seem to keep from getting in some sort of altercation. The best part is that it is so entertaining to see how the story develops. I was gripping my kindle so hard a few times and holding my breath!

Despite the humor, romance, action and suspense, Scott Hildreth can always touch on real issues that we, as a whole, deal with or encounter, on a dAily basis. Whether it be PTSD, immigration, racism, sexism, physical abuse, or any other real life scenario, Scott can include it in his books seamlessly and really make you think.

Reno is definitely a top 5 in the Hildreth line up for me.

I love Reno and Carma. They truly are each other's missing pieces.
In this story, the author brought in many characters from previous books and it felt like a family reunion. Like getting a hug from old friends. And like a typical MC family, they always have your back.

*4.5 stars*

I accepted to read Reno in exchange for an honest review from the author. It does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. I borrowed Reno from Kindle Unlimited.

First impression: Holy cow. This book hooked me right from the beginning. I was very curious about our heroine and her past. Not only that, but Reno as well. He has been such an interesting and "quiet" character since the beginning that I've been dying to learn more about him. I think it's safe to say, he might just be my favorite Disciple...

“Having a good woman in your life is the answer. The trick is finding a good one.”

Carma and Reno could not be more perfect for each other. I adored their story and watching them fall for each other. This story has definitely taken a piece of my heart. I enjoy having books that are diverse - there are not near enough of them.

This book was amazing! I have enjoyed the ride thus far. I love how different it is from other MC series I have come across. It isn't your typical MC club where the men where cuts to display who they are. Instead, Devil's Disciples pledges themselves by getting a tattoo on their back. I found this interesting and I love that it separates from the rest of other MC series.

Not just that, but I love the cameos of the other clubs. I haven't read the Crip's MC club series (a name I should probably leave out of this review), so I am excited to backtrack to read their stories and learn more about their characters! It was driving me crazy the whole time reading that I haven't read their stories yet. I'm definitely very curious about them for sure.

"If something’s valuable to me, I don’t want to give it away. Telling a story is like giving something to someone. Giving them a part of your life. If something’s valuable to me—really valuable—I don’t want to share it.”

Overall, this was an amazing book! I love this series to pieces! Whether you are new to Scott Hildreth or just waiting for the right time to start Reno, you should pick it up! I recommend at least starting from the beginning with Baker as you will be spoiled on all 4 previous books. If you want to really get the full experience, make sure to read Scott's previous MC series, Filthy F*ckers MC! (I have not read it yet, and it's driving me crazy!)

This is the first of The Devil's Disciples that I've read. I usually prefer to read them in order even if they are considered stand alones, because I feel you get more from the story if you know more about the surrounding players. That said, I couldn't wait to read the latest release from this author. I have to say, it definitely did NOT disappoint.

I like how Reno straddles between the Devil's Disciples and the Filthy F**kers, introducing me to another group I need to acquaint myself with. The story is non-stop and action packed. Toss in a little will he or won't he and sprinkle with some steamy sexy time, Reno is a hit!
Reno is set in his ways, typical bachelor without a care when it comes to commitment, does what he wants when he wants, making it through day by day, trying to do his best against the PTSD that seems to be lingering around the corner, not sure when or where the next bout will surface.
Carma is a spitfire. She and Reno are quite a match, she gives as good as she gets and isn't afraid to put him, or his brothers, in his/their place or push every one of his buttons to get a reaction. The banter between them is fun, and when she finds friends in the place she never thought she would, the back and forth is easy and fun.
I've had the other Devil's on my TBR for a while now, but after reading Reno, it makes me want to read them all the more!

Reno. A mix of old and new and how people can and do come together when they can. Gosh, I really dont have many words at this point just finished the book. So great to see FF and Bama again. And the talk of ghost, amazing.
Reno has been through so much and to come out as he did, admitting he was struggling with Crip and moving forward from it, taking what life has given him and still being a strong and good person. Carma dealt a bad hand too, being a young naive girl and becoming a strong woman. Family, I think it all comes down to that. What would you do for your family? What would you do for love? Ghost is always watching and shining down from above.
Another beautifully written story from Scott. Absolutely loved it.

I was so looking forward for this book for months. So happy to have gotten it and read it in just a few hours. Definitely worth a second read again. I love the characters match up with Carma and Reno. The mix of Fithy F*cker MC characters in Devils Disciples MC. I will never want it to end and Titos the last one. So sad but want to live with Reno and Carma a little while longer.

Biker love

All I have to say is yes to Reno's story. I simply loved where Scott Hildreth brought the Devil's Disciples. Scott has this way with his MC books that you get so immersed into the his books that time just seems to fly by and before you know it you're in love with the characters and have this ache in your heart because the book is over. Reno's story is just that. If you've read any of the Devil Disciples books then you have caught glimpses of Reno here and there. You also know what this MC is about. If you haven't had a chance then you really need to read this series and the Biker Mc Romace (Filthy F*ckers) series while you are at it. I say that only if you want some back ground of the Filthy F*ckers MC but you really should read it too just because it's an amazing series too. Reno walks the line with both clubs and does it with ease. I love how he grows in this one. You get that anti-relationship biker to the I can't live without her biker. And he goes above and beyond to do what ever it takes to keep her. Oh just read it already and find out who Reno is and Carma. You will love Carma in every way. She is strong and a survivor and you will see it once you read this one. I couldn't get enough of Reno and Carma. I love their chemistry and just how they fit. If you love MC books then pick this one up today. You will love Reno and Carma's story.

A PERFORMANCE OF PERFECTION!

When Hildreth told me I would be blown away by RENO, I didn't doubt him I just didn't expect to become so emotionally involved and charged.

RENO and Carma met under extreme circumstances. There was electricity but they allowed the current to pass. But one extreme moment in time not only caused an explosion but it sealed their fates. RENO was running from ghosts and Carma from the devil himself.

RENO was still dealing with his past as a war Vet. His ghosts visited often. Carma seemed to keep them at a distance. Carma felt safe with RENO. He fought her demons for her.

Hildreth dealt with real life issues as well as fantasies. His explanations gave us an appreciation for life. I found myself immersed in a story rooting for bad things to happen to bad people and luck, fate and karma giving it their all in assistance. Add in some heat 🔥and humor...POW!

Loved seeing the FF and the rest of DD make an appearance. Crip was his ever arrogant self lol. And now I have my questions as to where Tito will take us.

Maybe we just need to give in to karma. Maybe accept our fate. Or maybe go just throw caution to the wind and live life!

This is a MUST READ! Never, ever doubt Hildreth delivering a performance of perfection.

BRAVO 👏

I was thrilled that Scott went back to the basics to give readers a classic MC romance that first brought me to him as a reader. As always, it’s a storyline that I didn’t see coming with characters that feel real and genuine. I also love that Scott never shies away from the tough issues either, like PTSD, but instead has his characters dealing with these real life issues with dignity.

Readers will adore Reno and Carma together . . . so much chemistry! And, they will be absolutely thrilled when some of our favorite Hildreth characters show up to join the fun and save the day. I always enjoy when the different worlds and characters Scott creates collide.

Reno is edgy, action packed, and filled with characters you wish existed in real life. 5 Stars!

Reno..... yeah Reno is mine!

Oh. My. Goodness. I don’t even know where to begin! It’s been awhile since I’ve really fallen in love with a book, but I can say with certainty Scott has made me fall in love with reading again!

This book is full of pulse pounding, heat inducing drama and I loved every second of it. I fell in love with Carma, she’s one tough girl who takes no (you know what). Then you add in Reno, that man can get it! His no nonsense attitude is everything!

If you like your books with heat, romance, action and drama then this is the book for you! Way to go Scott

Carma and Reno

The Devil's Disciple series is one of my favorite MC book series. FFMC is my all time favorite. Reno has the connection to both clubs and combining his story with both made it spectacular. Mr. Hildreth once again has provided his readers with a quirky, gutsy and very believable heroine with Carma. I loved her quick responses to not only Reno, but Cash & Bama.

Reno and Carma provide some instant heat in the first chapters. Both characters open up about their PTSD with each other and as the relationship grows, you can see them both enjoying life more. OMG -- the shower. Never have I ever laughed so hard reading a sex scene. And the ending - Good fences make good neighbors, LOL.

Walking down memory lane and chatting again with characters from the FFMC was so welcome - I have missed them so much.
I know finishing Reno means there is only Tito's story left for the DDMC - but maybe Scott will surprise his fans with another club that crosses over and we get to keep dropping in on these old friends.

Reno Reno Reno! This book is just fantastic! I devoured it in one whole day and I just want more from this world. The characters are all just fantastic, they all had their own personalities that are true to them, and I loved seeing last characters show up in this book. I absolutely loved both Reno and Carma.

Carma is a firecracker, I love that she is strong. She doesn’t let anyone walk all over her. Carma also has a sweet side which really showed when she was in the presence of Reno.
Reno is such a sweetheart. He is caring, he is protective, his dirty talking is on point! I thought that Reno and Carma are the perfect couple.

This book made me laugh in spots, not just an inside giggle to myself, but a laugh out loud laugh. The storyline was intriguing and kept me captivated from start to finish. And let me just say this cover....HOT! I definitely recommend Mr Hildreth’s books to everyone who is a lover of MC romances!

There was something about this one that made it different, in a good way. For most of the book Reno seemed out of his element. Attracted to Carma, who called him on his shit from the start, coming clean with his friends about a long kept secret, doing some crazy stuff to keep Carma safe and actually settling down, not gambling like a mofo. It made Reno more real and a guy you'd like.

I really liked how Reno helped Carma with her family too and how then all the bikers seemed to adopt them. It made for some interesting scenes.

I was very happy with the HEA for this one!
