(Books 1-5) Kindle Edition

Chaos at Crescent City Medical Center
A New Orleans Attorney’s Mardi Gras Takes A Bloody Turn

Alex wanted a new life, but that often seemed out of reach as long as she was still tied to the same hospital as her ex-husband. Mardi Gras Season brought a welcome change in pace, and her upcoming date to the Mardi Gras Ball with art historian, Mitch Landry, was a step in the right direction. However, when she is called to a grisly scene at the hospital her plans are upended.

The Imposter
In New Orleans, The Criminally Insane Pose A Growing Threat

It is hotter than hell in New Orleans and newly promoted Police Commander Jack Francoise is battling horrific crime in the Vieux Carre. The number of criminally insane continues to rise without explanation and nurses at the Psychiatric Pavilion are doling out Thorazine cocktails to these viciously psychotic patients to the best of their ability.

Viral Intent
The President Is In New Orleans, And a Deadly Virus Is On The Loose

While the President and members of Congress visit the Big Easy for a political convention, an unidentified killer virus is wreaking havoc in the Crescent City emergency room. Physicians are baffled, hospital staff frightened, and the CDC is en route to assist.

Toxic New Year
The Party Of The Year In Virginia Turns Deadly

What began as rural Virginia’s premier New Year celebration turns into a day of horror when the enemies of Alex Destephano's grandfather, Congressman Adam Patrick Lee, bring the war to his Virginia estate killing, maiming and destroying everything in their path.

EVIL
For Fans of Robin Cook, Tess Gerritsen, Patricia Cornwell, Michael Palmer

Alex returns to Wyndley Farm, her childhood home in Virginia, to await the birth of her baby. An urgent call from Crescent City Medical Center compels her to return to New Orleans to investigate cruel, questionable incidents and heinous patient deaths. Digger Stildove returns from Yemen where he has searched for Jacob Stark. Michaela McPherson travels from Richmond with police dog Angel to consult with Commander Francoise in his search for St. Germaine. Dr. Judith Lucci is an Amazon bestselling author who writes what she knows. She is the author of the Alex Destephano Medical Thriller Series and the soon to be released Michaela McPherson, Private Eye, a series centered on a retired homicide detective from Richmond, Virginia who really can’t retire.

“Before I wrote fiction, I was an academic writer who published research, theoretical works, text books and just about anything a nurse or college professor needed to publish to survive. The differences in academic writing and writing fiction are dramatic. Writing what I know propels me to pull from my clinical experiences, some good, some not and use popular fiction as a means to teach and advocate for others. My books have three purposes, to engage the reader, to entertain them and to educate about healthcare and perhaps, the darker side of hospital life.

I am a nurse and hold graduate and doctoral degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Virginia. I have always been a reader and a writer and I love it. I am a member of the Virginia Writers Club, The Shenandoah Valley Writers and Sisters in Crime.

When I’m not writing I am probably teaching, paining on silk as I am a multi-media artist or playing with my many dogs. Please feel free to contact me at judithlucciwrites@gmail.com. I am excited about meeting you!

What a Ride!

What a Ride!
Overall, the series was enjoyable which was a feat considering I did not esoecially like the main character, Alex.
Based on a lot of the content about the healthcare system and politics, I could tell the books were written in a pre-2017 America.
The supporting characters were well-developed, well-defined, and typically made more consistent if not rational decisions than Alex. I was a little disturbed that the last two books seemed to be written by someone who had not read the first three.
It is a testament to the authot's good writing style and interesting plots that I managed to finish the series. I think it would have been better to have read the books with a break between each than binge reading.

I read some of these in the first box set of 3 and the others as they came out.

Chaos at Crescent City Medical Center
Well written and colorful characters. Suspense and tension keeps you on the edge of your seat. New Orleans, Mardi Gras and voodoo. What more could you ask for? This is a must read!
I received an advanced reader copy of this book.

Highly intriguing. There is a psycho on the loose in New Orleans. There has been a gruesome murder in the French Quarter. A nurse has been attacked after she finished her shift at the Psych Ward at a major hospital. An elderly patient is assaulted and killed. Who is responsible? Could it be a psycho patient? Someone posing as a hospital worker? Someone who has reached a crisis and snapped and is roaming the streets of New Orleans?

The Imposter
Judith describes her characters and the Big Easy so well you feel like you live there and know the people involved in the story.
Get your copy and come along on this wild roller coaster ride and find out the answers.
This is one of the novels in Crescent City Chronicles Volumes 1-3 which I have purchased.

Viral Intent
Viral Intent is a gripping novel. An unknown virus is on the rampage in New Orleans. A conference is going on for politicians. The president is attending. This story could be tomorrow's headlines. It is a terrorist attack.
All of Judith's novels are well written and fast paced. There is no doubt that Judith has knowledge on the workings of a hospital and the medical field in general. Very good descriptions of her characters, of New Orleans, and of what is taking place. I highly recommend her novels if you like thrillers.
This is one of the novels in Crescent City Chronicles Volumes 1-3 which I have purchased.

Toxic New Year
This story takes place in Virginia at a well known congressman's home. There is a terrorist plot, the mafia, family reunions and an American hero. The massacre that took place on New Year's Day would have been much worse if one of the terrorists hadn't had a change of heart. Who decides to do the right thing? And why? This story is well written. Characters are fleshed out.

Evil
Judith has written another page turner!! Keeps you on the edge of your seat. Alex was in Virginia at her childhood home. She planned to stay there until the birth of her baby. However, she must go back to New Orleans as patient deaths are happening again. Patients and staff must be protected.
They need her help. Alex is admitted to the hospital. It may be blood clots. Now what?
Come along on this roller coaster ride and find out what is happening. You'll be glad you did.

I haven't read all of these yet, but the ones I have read are fantastic medical thrillers! Alex Destephano is the main character. She is a lawyer for the big CCMC Medical Center in New Orleans. She works her tail off trying to protect patients and the medical center. There's a lot of investigating to be done to find out what and who causes problems for the patients and/or the hospital. The plots and characters are very good as well as the dialogue. I can't wait to read more!

Wonderful series

This series has everything- murder, action, characters you'll come to know and like, even cranky Jack. The basic plot flows smoothly through from one book to the next. It's wonderful to be able to read these thrillers one after the other without having to wait for the next one to be written. Not only will you like this series but you will also want to read other books by Judith Lucci.

The big problem with each one of these books is that they grab you by the brain and won't let go! And then you want to read the next one! That worked out fine for me this cold and snowy winter so I only have number five to go. I like medical suspense, and NOLA is one of my favorite places to visit, so that's a win win for me. Excellent reads both individually and as a series!

Interesting Books

I READ these books through Kindle Unlimited. After the first few pages, I was engrossed in the stories. It was easy to read the other four books because most of the main characters flow through all five books. If you like a good mystery within a medical setting, you should enjoy theses books.

Political carp belongs in the OpEd section of the newspaper

Just trying to enjoy a good mystery, when the author throws a jab or two at anything "liberal" that might, barely might, affect the story. Wish I had known these were from a talk show know-it-all before I started reading. Too bad there's three and three-quarters books that I won't get to enjoy.

Strength Of Family

Once you start this series you will binge read until the end! You will have plenty of action, adventure, conspiracy and rooting for the good guys. Never a dull moment and the characters grow in each book. Questions get answered throughout the series and the characters are woven around each other. Six Degrees of separation is definitely proven as well.

Must Read!,

Judith Lucci was a new author to me. I was introduced to her by another great author. I am so glad and truly love her books. She is detailed without boring you, she had me on the edge of my seat from the suspense more times than I could count. Her characters come to life! I fully recommend this series, believe me, you won’t regret it.

Loved the stories

Each book followed the previous one very seamlessly. I loved that the characters were briefly described in each book rather than filling pages with what we read in the previous book. I couldn’t put the books down.

There were, however, way too many spelling errors.

This is my first experience with Miss Lucci and I am very impressed with this book!! It’s considered a medical thriller and it owned up to its name because it kept me awake and I couldn’t put the book down. So many different elements became a part of the storyline with lots of twists and turns which I love!! I can’t wait to read the next book!!

Terrific series!

I started book one and read until I finished all five! They are exciting, well plotted, and have interesting characters, many in all the books. I thoroughly enjoyed all of them and am sorry to be finished. Excellent series by a terrific author. They could be read alone but the continuity of all books, in order, enhances the entire story--- that is what it is, a continuing long adventure, but each book solves its particular mystery
