Gang-raped and mutilated, the police find the body of a young girl in a ditch. Dr. Shiva Durai, a senior forensic resident, is tasked with the autopsy. Along with a strict lady police officer, it is his responsibility to ensure the delivery of justice. But for Shiva, that's just the beginning of troubles. First comes a casual death threat. Then the stakes are raised with a serial killer on loose. Clues point towards a well-organized criminal empire that feasts on people’s fear.
They are the law. There is no justice.
Dr. Shiva’s war against injustice has just begun. And he won’t give up until he has won.
The forensic expert whose job is to stay in the background and help the Cops in solving a case takes the responsibility of solving the rape-murder mystery on his own. The story is good however has a lot of gaps in the plot. Also there are a lot of grammatical / spelling mistakes. Overall an average, timepass read.
‘At the end of the day, being one step closer to a better tomorrow is all that matters in the grand scheme of life.’ 🦄🦄🦄 Diya Peshawar was taped and murdered by a group of men and Dr. Shiva is a forensic resident has made it his mission to find out what happened to her after he gets death threats to change the medical report. Working with SP Shakti, Shiva realises that the death of Diya is deeper than he could imagine. 🦄🦄🦄 Police Surgeon is a crime novel by Ajith Anthony. The storyline is average, there's nothing spectacular that hasn't been written before whole the language and writing style used to tell this story was also average. The characters are not my favourite, Shiva has more of a personality than Shakti. While we get to see Shiva's exploits as he goes around trying to solve the case, Shakti is just a background character even though she is implied to play a role in the story. There is a shimmer of quirkiness and connection between them which but I wish we were given more to know them individually. The story as a whole has a lot of plot holes in the book with disconnected events. The ending is not unpredictable, if you're someone like me who reads a lot of mystery novels the 'who done it' very easily. It's an ok read if you're just looking for a filler read. 🦄🦄🦄 Rated 6.5/10 Melina L.
A breathtaking thriller with remarkable suspense. The author very rightly criticized media for ill informing the public and becoming self appointed judge in sensitive crimes like rape and murder. Characterisation of S P Shakti and Police surgeon Shiva was very inspiring. The novel also depicts how difficult is it to bust nexus between politics and crime. Storyline was very engaging that too without any vulgarity!
Could'nt pronounce most of the names if I tried . A police surgeon as he was called used to be in the military, now this job. But he felt more like an investigator , He liked to do that on his own way and own time. A young girl was raped. Seems like to many secrets and to many people wanting to be the lead guy running the town and not in a good way either. He almost died getting to the answer and how to solve this crime leader in his town.
An amalgamation of a fantastic thriller and gripping narration. Characters and emotions are portrayed aptly without exaggeration (most common in suspense thrillers). thoroughly enjoyed the reading.
What better than connecting dots through a forensic team. Only negative in the whole book was the over enthusiastic police surgeon. But nevertheless, book was too good and engaging
Pretty decent book for time pass. But not a full fledged crime thriller; miles away from it. Author carries the story forward well. Plot is too thin, logical errors and more cinematic than a novel.
