Romance without limits! A book hoarder and coffee addict at heart Anna's main existence in life is to create beautiful words about exquisitely flawed characters. She's a slow burn Princess and all about working for that happy ever after, but she guarantees when you get it, you'll fall so hard you might never want to surface again. Be prepared to oooh and aaah and squeal with delight as Anna takes you on a journey you are unlikely to forget. Anna lives at in Surrey, the UK, with her husband and three children. She happiest writing (thinking of ways to make you swoon), drinking coffee and snuggling up on the sofa in the evenings for a binge of her favourite shows or reading in bed. She loves to chat with her readers on social media so if you love the words come and find her, she sure loves to talk.
”Stiff and formal. I’m the balance to that. I’m the muse to his soul.”
With Tears of Gold, Anna Bloom managed to give us a wonderful conclusion to the Tears Of Ink Trilogy. I loved every moment with Eli and Faith from the first page of the first book until the last page of this one here. The world around Eli and Faith is so amazingly full of art, emotions, love and friendship, that it’s quite hard for me to let them go now.
”You are my everything. All of it. Ink, glass and gold. All the things that challenge us, all the things that defeat us and hide us, all the things that hold us together.”
In this book Eli and Faith have a lot going on and it seems like life likes to throw them one obstacle after the other not letting them rest. But the amazing characters they are, they ship each storm with ease and come out stronger than before. Eli and Faith are a power couple, who give each other the strength the other needs. They simply click like the last missing puzzle piece.
”… you’re my ray of golden sun. - Covered in ink. - Decorated in art.”
The only thing I didn’t really like in this book was, that because there were so many obstacles they had to deal with, none of them was given the attention they needed. Every one of them got only scratched on the surface. I would have preferred less obstacles but deal with them on a deeper level.
”Then he’s mine, in bands of gold an memories of glass. Of art in ink, and tears that will never stop coming but will always be fought.”
Tears of Gold is a shining and sparkling art of ink on pages that will grab your heart, squeeze it tightly and fills it up with every possible emotion.
"You're my ray of golden sun." "Covered in ink" "Decorated in art"
What an amazing journey and trilogy from Anna Bloom.
Please note that this book cannot be read as a standalone, this is the final book in Faith and Elijah's story but not the last in the series.
When I first started reading about Faith from the very first book Tears of Ink, I ever expected the young college girl who hid behind her Ink to become the amazing strong woman I read about in Tears of Gold.
Faith was victim of sexual abuse from her stepbrother for years, after leaving home she found her escape in one night stands and in her art work, she was a loner, an introvert. Today Faith is a woman facing her past to embrace her future with Eli.
A beautiful story of growth, standing up for ones self and fighting for what you want. This young woman with tattoos not only embraced a different way of life but also didn't allow it to mould her. There were changes in Eli too, he was no longer going along with his Grandmothers demands, the aristocracy way of life but making his own choices.
I liked both characters and I felt connected not only with them but with other characters who were a part of Eli and Faith's journey and I am looking forward to more in this series.
Ana Bloom's writing puts you at ease, I followed this trilogy with ease and enjoyed her way of writing, there was angst and drama in all the right places along with hotness and happiness, a brilliant balance in a romance read.
Told In first person pov and leads to a hea. Contains talk of abuse but does not go into graphic details.
Tears of Gold is the final book in the Tears of… trilogy and it’s a great conclusion. With the first book, Tears of Ink, I was sucked deep into the story. With the second book, Tears of Glass, I was sucked in ever deeper. With this third book, Tears of Gold, I found myself happy with how everything played out in the end.
If you have yet to read the prior books, go back and do so. This is very much a series you need to read in order, where events build upon what happened in the prior books. If you dive into this one without the prior books, you’ll be confused and you’ll have all kinds of spoilers for Ink and Glass.
With Tears of Gold, we bring together all those open ends. There are a lot of things that needed to come together, and they do throughout Gold. Not only do we get answers, but we also get more drama, keeping us in the same edge-of-our-seats position we have remained in throughout the series. Even the predictable elements, the things that I wasn’t crazy about due to personal preference, had me turning the pages at a rapid pace.
Without a doubt, Tears of Gold was a great end to a wonderful series. I’m now desperately awaiting the spin-off books, as I need to see how other stories play out.
"Grief and heartache chase us all, toying with us from within the depths of shadows we can't escape"
Wow - this entire trilogy evoked a roller coaster of emotions in me. From the rough start in book one to the heartbreak and loss in book two, and finally the emotionally raw conclusion that is book three. This is NOT a standalone. I am going to assume you have read the first two books in the trilogy so there is no need to go over the characters and plot lines
"Don't lie to me again. If it's not your whole heart, it's a lie" -Abi
I was a bit upset with Eli in this final episode. In my eyes, he broke his promise, a couple of times. No matter how bruised his ego was I did not agree with his decision. I understood it slightly but to me, it just felt like emotional blackmail. I did however like the changes he chose in the last few chapters. Maybe I can see past his errors and forgive him, maybe.
"Sometimes you got to believe" I think the universe had it out for Faith. Her whole journey was such a whirlwind of heartache and angst blended with a bit of self discovery and forgiveness. I believe she finally found Faith. but at what a price. She paid the most IMO for her HEA
So many skeletons are uncovered in this final episode. Some are "holy chit" shocking" others I sort of foresaw coming. A few new friends were made and sadly some old ones were lost. I will suggest having tissues handy as there are a few scenes that may bring on the ugly cry. I really enjoyed watching some of the characters blossom and come into their own while others finally got their comeuppance. A few of my favorite supporting characters need their own stories -- hint hint-- and grandma needs her own memorial service (just a thought)
4.7 🌟 EEEK THIS SERIES. This was so painful but beautiful to read, I LOVED IT SO MUCH. 💖 (Also BEFORE reading pls check TWS: 🚩🚩🚩Assault, substance abuse, rape, death and a few other tws)
This was a stunning conclusion to Faith and Elijahs story, loved them both. It was also realistic and very painful to read at times but that's what I loved about it. I think when books deal with heavy traumatic events, it's hard to make it seem realistic or authors don't know how to deal with it properly. But I think in this series, you could just see Faiths pain and the way she dealt with her pain, although it was unhealthy and drastic. AND it was wonderful to see her get her justice in the end and fight for her and Elijah. And her perfect happy ending, ♥️😫 they ABSOLUTELY 💯 deserved it.
I was literally a crybaby throughout this series, I'm usually a sensitive idiot normally but this made me a blubbering idiot. 😭✋️
I am reviewing this series instead of just each book. This three book series is now one of my favorite.
I have to say I have read one other book besides this series and I completely in love with Anna Bloom's style of reading. I love how relatable her stories are, not boring and they just totally suck you in.
Faith & Elijah story is full of heart break & pain from previous hurts. Faith has dealt with a lot since she was a kid. Her mother left when she was young, her dad didn't really bother. Bad thing happened to her & stuff spiraled from there. She never let anyone in... Well fully in until Rich, snobby at first Elijah. He turned stuff around, they didn't have it easy, he is rich and royalty basically. She from the bad side of town & covered in tattooed. They have wild ride from the start, with twist and turns and heart breaks... Will they get their happy ending or will past & present situations tear them apart. Read this series (Book 1-3) you won't he disappointed!
What a beautiful, emotional, heartfelt conclusion to a fantastic series. I've been glued to Faith and Elijah's story from the very beginning. I absolutely loved it.
Anna Bloom has put my heart, no she has mashed my heart through a wringer, but then somehow blended all the broken bits back together and made it whole again. Pretty much exactly what she did to Faith and Elijah!
This book has twists, turns and emotional turmoil, it takes you from one end of the scale to the other..... Deep sadness to utter joy; tears to laughter; devastation to forgiveness; secrets and lies to hope and freedom; fear, pain and hatred to absolute, all encompassing love.
And there you have it, the journey of two beautiful characters and the people in their life who both help and hinder them. To love, life and fredom!!
A wonderful series I have loved all the way, I cant recomend it highly enough. Cant wait for what comes next from Anna Bloom.....Dan?? 5 huge stars
Tears of Gold is the final book staring Faith and Elijah in this amazing book series, and I am actually gutted that this is the end. I have a place in my heart for them both and I've always wanted them to be happy. Achieving happiness with each other would be the icing on the cake as we have all seen the chemistry and love that these two individuals share, but we've also witnessed the many obstacles that have appeared for them along the way.
I really didn't want to put this book down. I was desperate to know what was going to happen next. There are twists and turns in the story which always get a huge tick from me.....well who doesn't love surprises :) I feel the author has written the perfect story for Faith and Eli. I have absolutely loved getting to know Faith and seeing her character develop across the books.... Eli too!
There is so much that I would love to say about this story but I'm hoping that you will trust me when I recommend this book to you as I don't want to give away any spoilers. The whole series is one that I would definitely urge you to read - it will be up there with my top favourites of all time!
I would definitely read book 1 and 2 before starting this book. This one took me a while to get into it and I struggled with Faith and Eli and how they handledni some things but I did love that Faith learned to stand up for herself. But her gut reaction is to run and sometimes even when she stays its like she's really not there. This book.has lots of drama, some angst and lots of hot moments. Im glad that Faith finally gives in and works through all her issues so she can continue too be her bada*s self.
The conclusion to Eli and Faiths story didn’t disappoint although there were a few loose ends which I feel will be tied off in spin off books. A trilogy well worth a read.
Where to start with reviewing this book, the final in Eli and Faiths story....
Emotion, romance, strength, pain, love, happiness and tears all appear in this book in no particular order ;)
I loved this book, I stayed up till 130am to finish the book, my eyes were tired, heavy eyes were then complicated by tears welling up and running down my cheeks but I got to end and then didn't want it to be the end!
I'm not gonna go through the storyline as you will already know the story as you have to read book 1 and 2 first. If you haven't started this series yet I would suggest you dive in. I admit in book 1 it took me a while to take to Faith, Eli Woo'ed me straight away! Their story is one you don't want to miss.
Dawg did not let the poor girl get a break😭. Umm i feel like this book could’ve been way shorter. Like at the second book i was already started to get bored and the third book it was like things were getting thrown around and idk.
Another emotional read. Sleep deprived yet again! I found the conclusion bittersweet. It was heartbreaking for Faith to be let down by the men In her life. Trying not to divulge spoilers, but have a hard time with the outcome of her street altercation. Not the HEA I expected. It felt unbalanced in Eli’s favour. It was disappointing that a major relationship was left unresolved. However, I’ve discovered that a spin-off series will hopefully rectify this. I loved Faith’s and Eli’s journey. I will miss these characters. This trilogy is brilliantly refreshing. I highly recommend.
😭😭😭 That was AMAZING!!! The conclusion to Faith and Elijah's story is the best yet. They will forever hold a place in my heart. This series is a must read. You are missing out. So much raw emotions, the wild rollercoaster ride will leave wanting more. I don't want their story to end. Anna did a fantastic job with these characters. This is my favorite series of Anna's.
I was so close to the end but I couldn't finish it, I just couldn't. I kept turning my kindle off, watching tv, everything but getting caught up in this book. What I should have done was shut this book down much sooner. I mean this book series was crazy, it made no sense, I thought it would have turned in a better direction, but I was wrong. I just wished I didn't waste my time on it.

This series has been so enjoyable to read and review. You start off with Tears of Ink and you go through a rollercoaster of emotions. You get to experience everything from joy to rage, so basically all the colors of the rainbow. Then you move onto Tears of Glass and you get to experience confusion. The second one is just all over the place due to Faith’s wishy washy behavior and personality quirks. But now that we move onto the third and final book for Faith and Eli and it’s just…..beautiful. The third book takes a typical turn of events for a couple in a romance novel. I saw this particular turn of events from a mile away. And while this point is an obscure one, if you look at the big picture, it’s an important part none the less. SPOILER ALERT: Grab a box of tissues and keep them close. They’re going to be needed for this one. Faith and Eli just grow in this final book. Faith stops to confront her internal and external demons and she’s a warrior for it. Eli seems like the bad guy in particular sections; but again if you stop and look at the big picture, he’s actually trying to help Faith in his own way. I’ll be honest, I wanted to dick punch him with I reached a particular point. I felt like Anger from Inside Out when he’s reached his limit and literally blows fire out the top of his head. So basically, I felt like an erupting volcano. But after a few deep breaths, away from my IPad, I returned to try and understand Eli and his behavior. And it’s at this point that you’ll need your tissues. It’s about 75% in that I started bawling my eyes out and this continues until about the 90% mark. Serious tears, a few sobs, and a lotta deep breaths. There’s nothing worse than trying to read through blurry eyes because you just can’t stop crying. You go back to re-read section’s because you can’t read properly, which just brings on more tears. It’s an ugly cry moment folks, so brace yourselves for it. I’ve enjoyed this series now that I’ve finished it. I’d most definitely go back and re-read if I were to be in a slump and stumbled back across it. There are times that I just wanted to walk away from the characters, because they were just trying my patience. But I’m telling you, if you just stick it out with Faith and Eli you won’t regret it. Going through the emotions with these two is a very beautiful experience. You get to watch them grow from two separate individual’s that are just going through the motions of what is expected of them, or what they think is expected of them. They’re just present in the world, now really making a difference. But by the end of the series you’ve watched them grow into who they are meant to be. You get to watch them prepare to make a real difference in the world. These two are seriously going to change many lives. And I feel so blessed to have been able to read and watch these individual’s grow. It’s been like watching a Rainbow Butterfly push out of its own little chrysalis. I’m now excited for the next one, Scars of Silk. Dan’s story is going to be a good one….I just know it.

Five golden stars! Tears of Gold is a book that shines in ink, wrap you in glass and set you free in gold.
For Lord’s sake! I’m speechless after reading the last instalment in the Tears of Ink Trilogy. I happily say that I survived to the most addictive, consuming, devastating and fricking amazing series. My heart is still beating so fast like the wings of a wee hummingbird, there are dried tears on my cheeks, tears that were from sadness to happiness. I did experience a roll coaster of emotions that overwhelmed my poor and delicate heart. Tears of Gold destroyed me in the best way possible a book can do. Anna Bloom ruined me with her flawless writing. I knew in my heart that I would lose myself over this trilogy: from the moment I read the first page of Tears of Ink, the first book in the series, to the last page of Tears of Gold, the conclusion of this wonderful series.
The story of Faith and Elijah has been full of emotion, pain, strength, love, hope, tears and happiness. I loved every moment of this complex and intense characters. They will always have a special place in my heart. Both are broken pieces of the same soul. They came from different worlds that collide as the way stars are made. Their romance is a broken poem of love and fight wrapped in art, aristocracy and tears. Anna Bloom managed to give us a beautiful ending to their story.
This book is everything and more, so much more. All bets were against Faith and Elijah but their love was stronger despite all the struggles and obstacles life and the Faircloughs kept throwing at them. It was a constant war that never left them rest. Each obstacle made them stronger. Faith and Elijah found strength in each other. They outplayed the Faircloughs with everything they were, a strong couple who loved hard and fought even harder. But there were also some ghosts of the past and demons of the present who threatened their future. Honesty and love were their armours and hope and forgiveness were their weapons until the end.
Faith and Elijah were two people so lost, so betrayed, but they found each other in the right moment of solace. All of that in ink, glass and gold. Their journey was poetically and beautifully intense from the beginning to the end.
“Una prosa cautivadora y hermosa que teje una gran cantidad de emoción y crea una conexión con los personajes que te hacen sentir como si estuvieras en la habitación con ellos, compartir cada desamor y celebrar con ellos, ha hecho de esta serie, una de mis favoritas de todos los tiempos.”
Tears of Gold is a book that shines in ink, wrap you in glass and set you free in gold.

What an emotional rollercoaster ride this was, I thought the first two books of the Tears Of series were deep but Anna Bloom went all out with Tears of Gold to finish the trilogy. Immediately following the ending of the second book Elijah and Faith are hit with the tragic news of Peter being dead, bringing their own news of becoming engaged to a screeching halt. Now it's back to Bowsley once again to battle for how Eli will want to be as heir to the family name, something he never gave much thought of til Faith came around. Now both are fighting for what they want but with more curveballs being thrown their way, it's only a matter of time before the pressure becomes too much. How strong is the faith between these two? Pick up Tears of Gold to find out.
My favorite part about this story was definitely Eli. His patience and love literally knew no bounds. The way he was always there for Faith even when his plate was already full was amazing and then to slink back into his more passionate side was definitely swoon worthy. I do give so much props for how much Faith grew up throughout this series. Going from all her rules to letting Eli in her heart, to allowing others to help take care of her, to becoming someone others could turn to for help was very inspiring. It was heartbreaking though to continue reading how little she thought of herself and I wanted to shake her awake to finally realize the truth. Some things felt a bit repetitive but I did like how those moments didn't last too long. I love where Anna Bloom took the main issue that the Tears Of series is centered around, I was actually tearing up by the end with how things came full circle. It saddens me this trilogy is over and I'm definitely crossing my fingers for more of the other characters, but no matter what Anna Bloom's writing is very beautiful and whatever comes next I would love to read.
“I can only run forwards. Face things head on. No matter who comes. My Dad. Aiden. The sins of the past. The future is the only place I can fight them. Brighton is no longer my home. Eli is.”
And it’s Faith’s time to become who she was always meant to be and she shines bright like a diamond. Evolving into the woman that others have always seen hidden within her protective layers, she faces her challenges head on whilst coming to terms with her past. Life is never easy for Faith as she battles who she is to become who she wants to be. Eli is her anchor in the storm but life just keeps throwing them curveballs. Dealing with their grief, the fallout from the changing family dynamics and the impending court cases Faith and Eli must navigate dangerous tides to find their way home to one another. This story is filled with tragedy, unfairness and broken hearts. Yet it’s also filled with hope, love and joy. I am not ashamed to admit I spent most of this story with tears trailing paths down my cheeks. I was invested in their story and I honestly couldn’t imagine a better ending to their romance. Nothing worth having is ever easy and Eli and Faith learn to pick their battles and win the war, together.
Hauntingly beautiful prose that weave a wealth of emotion and create a connection to the characters that makes you feel as if you are in the room with them, sharing each heart break and celebration with them has made this series an all time favourite. I’m so glad Dan will getting his own book as he too needs to find what he is missing and come to terms with his past. Filled with angst, growth and forgiveness I can honestly say I devoured Tears of Gold and am hungry for Dan’s story as I’m not done with them all yet!
A fantastic five star read.

Tears of Gold is the third and final book in Elijah and Faith’s story. It can not be read as a standalone so I highly recommend you read Tears of Ink and Tears of Glass first. If you haven’t, I wouldn’t even continue reading this review. I wouldn’t even read the synopsis but that’s just me. I like to go in blind and if you haven’t read the first two books then it is a bit of a spoiler. Tears of Gold ends right where Tears of Glass ended. With their lives forever changed.
Elijah and Faith’s relationship has always been full of obstacles. From the moment they met, their lives have been a rollercoaster. Full of excitement. Twists. Turns. Highs and lows. And when it was finally looking like the ride was settling to even ground, it picks up again. With even bigger twists than before. Can they handle the ride?
I don’t want to get into the story too much. I will say that I was on the ride with them. I felt for both of them. They have a lot on their plate. Family. Careers. The past. Their future. What matters is that they do love each other. They need to put everything out on the table before they can go forward.
Overall...it’s was an emotional and sexy ride. Faith is a strong woman. Eli is a great man. The two of them together amazing. I hope to see them again one day. I did see there is a book coming out called Scars of Silk that is part of the series but not sure if it’s their story. We shall see!
Quotes:
“I know.” I don’t know what else to say. “Instead, the future has twisted, the path has moved, and what I promised you yesterday no longer exists.”
“Faith was all about her rules; it gave me great joy to break them.”
“You’ve had callers.” “Miss Beesley, this is not the nineteenth century; no one has left a calling card.”
Tears of Gold is bittersweet. It's the last book to this amazing series by Ms. Anna Bloom and it was incredible. Everything and more that was anticipated, but I am devastated that it's come to an end.
Elijah and Faith have wormed they're way into my heart and I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it, their journey together. The good, the bad, and the ugly. It was truly amazing.
In the final book, we get some much-needed answers that have been nagging at me for a while now. We see these two come together and beat every obstacle that was thrown their way. It was certainly not an easy road for these two... I mean it really wasn't and at times the author had me wondering if we would even get this happily ever after. But like always, she delivered it and in a tremendous way.
Faith starts to become stronger, she starts being the person she was always meant to be, a fighter, a survivor. She is overcoming things from her past and I could notice a big change in her. I loved watching her grow, watching her get stronger and beat the monsters and demons from her present and her past. She is such a strong character and Ms. Broom created her perfectly.
I loved seeing how Elijah grew too, how Faith changed him and the way he was with her, these two were meant for each other and I knew that from the very beginning.
This was a phenomenal end to what is an amazing series, A MUST READ! Do not delay like I did. READ IT! You won't be disappointed.
Best heart-wrecking and heart-warming conclusion to the series. Full of angst. Just simply wonderful!
And what do I write now? Fantastic, awesome, great conclusion to the story of Faith and Elijah. Heartbreaking at moments, events described by words that literally took my breath away at times. I cried, I smiled, I was impatient, I wanted to smack someone or something, wanted some dramatic moments to end as quickly as possible and for the ray of sunshine to come through the stormy clouds. If some of you didn't read the first two parts just quickly go and grab them. I'm sure you will be as immersed with the story as I was and it was from the very start of the series. I can't comprehend in my head how long of a journey this two just went through. All the good and bad moments. And sometimes when you think there's nothing more evil waiting, lurking, that all that was there to be thrown your way was already thrown... there's another curve ball and it's just unbelievable what the world and people that surrounds you could do to make your life miserable. I loved every single sentence in this book, all perfectly developed characters, even not so nice ones. This book rekindled in me this little spark that says that no matter what, if we fight we can win and really have what we want. We just need to be very determined and get up every time something brings us down. I loved the series very much and for sure on my list to re-read. Can't wait for Dan's story to come.
“We stare at one another, our gazes fierce. I want him. I’ve never known a desire like it. Even in the midst of heartbreak, the thought of having him, touching him, having him fill me from the inside out, overrides everything else.”
I was so torn when reading Tears of Gold. I was so in love with that was going on, that I couldn’t bare to put the book down. But I was also so scared to find out what happened to the characters, that I found myself closing the book constantly. Needless to say, I finished Tears Of Gold, and Anna did the trilogy justice. Each scene, each line...each word was so beautiful written that Tears of Gold played out like a movie!
“I snuggle back down into his arms and let him hold me back into sleep. Some nightmares can’t be shared though. Not if you are still living them.”
Elijah and Faith are a match made in book heaven. Each of their faults make both of them perfect for each other. Anna has created a uniquely amazing group of characters to support the story of Elijah and Faith. Please, please read the first two books in this series: Tears of Ink and Tears of Glass! Each story flows so effortlessly. I cannot say enough about Tears Of Gold! Hands down the best book I’ve read this year!
“I stare at the image of the girl, blinded by her hands, unwilling to see. What comes after seeing? Talking. But I don’t talk. It scares me more than anything.”
This is the final instalment of Faith and Elijah's story. When you think that this couple can handle any more, more gets thrown at them. It picks up where the last book left off and you do need to read the series in order.
More secrets are still to be discovered in this book from Faith but also from some of the other characters. Faith though is determined to ensure that she won't be run off by his obnoxious mother and grandmother, we an even more feisty Faith as they continue to test her. While their determination to stand firm and together against their interference and tradition, their tests come from elsewhere as Faith confronts her past.
Faith and Elijah show vulnerability and strength throughout. They build the other up and are the support fro each other making them stronger. It has taken them a while to get to this point, particularly with Faith's tendency to run but this is something she recognises and works hard to overcome.
This series was a really good one and I loved this conclusion. I was frustrated at times, laughed at times, cried at times, got angry at times but was so invested in the characters that giving up was never an option. This was also tough at times, given Faith's past and this may be a trigger for some people. This was worth a read and it is a series that will keep you hooked throughout.
This is the third book in the tears of ink trilogy and boy what an ending to Faith's and Elijah's story. I would suggest reading the first two books because although this can be read as a standalone, the story begins right after the final events in tears of glass. This whole trilogy has been like being on a roller coaster with so many ups and downs and loop the loops, all you could really do as a reader is hold on and enjoy the ride with Faith and Elijah. There were so many twists and turns in the series and the theme continued with tears of gold, I was reading with the feeling that the author was not quite done with these two yet and I was right! You were reading thinking something big is gonna go down here and that feeling of anticipation kept me turning those pages. I gasped, cried and that ending..... Well it was perfect for them. They do get their HEA eventually but they sure have to work hard to get it. It has been strange because normally I usually like one character more than the other, that didn't happen here, I loved them both equally and although they are both flawed they fix each other perfectly. I urge anyone to get the whole trilogy and devour it whole, it is truly amazing.
I have to start out with this, Tears of Gold is the third book in this series, so YOU MUST READ Tears of Ink (Book 1), and Tears of Glass (Book 2) FIRST AND IN ORDER to really understand what has happened and to fully enjoy this journey. So many things have happened by this point between Faith & Eli, that I don't even know where to start, and frankly, I'm not even going to get into any details because I feel like it would be spoilers anyway. I do know this, Faith is still battling her past demons, so it's making it hard for her to deal with present events. And Eli's family is definitely making life harder than they need to, which accounts for several twists that get the f-bombs dropping, as they don't play nice, shocker right? However, there are also some other twists that really shocked the hell out of me as well, so yeah, I had a real potty mouth this time around. Eli definitely upset me a great deal, and I can't tell you why, but I did want to junk punch him again, and I'm not even sorry. The awesome Anna Bloom really outdid herself with this ending, and I couldn't have loved it more if I tried, so if you too want to love it like I do, check Tears of Gold out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
all i could think of during this series and this book especially was WOW faith, get some GD therapy. truly, talking to ANYONE would help you realize how much guilt and pain you're carrying around and how it in turn is causing you to treat, an admittedly slightly misguided but GOOD guy, like absolute shit. like most multi book same couple series, this book could have been half the drama on one couple and spread out across multiple couples within the same universe and i probably would have been happier because at some point, truly faith, get some therapy and eli, recognize that the girl is going through it.
I also kinda hate that faith lost the use of her hand to an extent and it wasn't resolved in any way besides a passing sentence about her maybe sort of getting use back and working towards it but it's totally fine because now i have this TV show that i can't really do anything ON because of said hand but it's ok because i'm working with my husband who finally realized he doesn't have to be a lawyer. like truly, there was already SO much drama in this book, that her breaking her hands felt so over the top especially when she almost lost her baby.
i do love the journey that we see for all of the characters, eli, jennifer, faith, even dan a little bit so i enjoyed this but truly just wish we had gotten a more resound and neatly tied HEA.
