ანა კორძაია-სამადაშვილის მოთხრობების კრებული „მე, მარგარიტა“ პირველად 2005 წელს გამოიცა და მკითხველის დიდი მოწონება დაიმსახურა.

კრებულში თავმოყრილ თითოეულ მოთხრობაში უკვე იგრძნობა იმ დროს ახალბედა ავტორის სახასიათო ენა და თხრობის სტილი, რომლითაც განსხვავებულად გვიხატავს თითქოს უკვე ნაცნობ პერსონაჟებსა და ადგილებს. მისი მოთხრობების გმირები უმეტესად ქალები არიან – მძიმე სოციალური პირობებით, რთული პირადი ურთიერთობებითა და შვილების მომავალზე ფიქრით დაღლილი, მაგრამ მაინც მებრძოლი ქალები.

Ana Kordzaia-Samadashvili (Tbilisi, 1968) est auteure, critique littéraire et traductrice littéraire allemand-géorgien. Entre 2003 et 2011, elle a publié un roman et deux recueils de nouvelles. Ses nouvelles ont aussi été publiées dans des anthologies de nouvelles. Ana Kordzaia-Samadashvili a traduit en géorgien des œuvres, entre autres, d’Elfriede Jelinek et Reinald Goetz.

ანა კორძაია–სამადაშვილი (თბილისი, 1968 წ.) არის მწერალი, კრიტიკოსი და გერმანული ლიტერატურის მთარგმნელი. 2003–დან 2011 წლამდე გამოქვეყნებული აქვს ერთი რომანი და მოთხრობათა ორი კრებული. მისი მოთხრობები ასევე შესულია სხვადასხვა ანთოლოგიებში. ქართულად ნათარგმნი აქვს ელფრიდე იელინეკის, რაინალდ გეცის და სხვათა ნაწარმოებები.

For those not in possession of a wall-map, a hardback atlas, or a rotating globe lamp, Georgia is an East European nation south-west of Russia, north-east of Turkey, bordering Armenia (never heard of that one before either, have you, Typical Westener?), and Azerbaijan. Having situated these stories on the world map, the difficult task remains situating these stories on the literary map, for the author’s tone and humour proved a pest to assimilate (can we detect the dark humour of East Europe, the fierce fairytaling of Western Asia, or the grim satire of Russia?), leading to a frustrating if not unfun hotchpotch of the bracketed elements. AK-S is at her most amusing when taking up the blunt and dark humour of ‘Berikaoba’ or ‘Nina’, tales relating the complex relationships of terrific female terrors. Most of these stories deal in abstract and unusual ways with the nuances of Georgian emotional (and unemotional) relationships, and have a knowing scalpel-sharp wit to them, if sometimes the content and conclusions seem a little flat or head-scratching.

ანა კორძაია-სამადაშვილზე ძალიან ბევრი რამის თქმა შეიძლება. ყველაზე საინტერესო და შემოქმედებითი ფიგურაა ჩემთვის, რომელსაც უაღრესად დიდ პატივს ვცემ. ეს ჩემი პირველი წიგნი იყო მისი შემოქმედებიდან და მართლა ძალიან ვარ აღფრთოვანებული!

წერის სტილი და მისი ლექსიკა არის შეუდარებელი. ალბათ, ის პირველი მწერალია ჩემთვის, რომელსაც ისე შეუძლია შენთან ურთიერთობა, თითქოს დიდი ხანია რაც მეგობრობთ :) ეს ისტორიებიც კი ძალიან ახლოს არის ჩვენს რეალობასთან. ქალების ამბები, თბილისური ამბები, ამბები ყოფაზე და გაძლებაზე, სიყვარულზე და მოწყენილობაზე, სექსზე და მობეზრებაზე. კაცებზე და ქალებზე. გაბრაზებულ, ლამაზ, მშვიდ, საინტერესო და შემოქმედებით ქალებზე.

და ის თუ იცოდით ანას პირველი წიგნი, მოთრობების კრებული „ბერიკაობა“, სოფიო კირვალიძის ფსევდონიმით რომ გამოვიდა. წერე რაო, ბაკურ სულაკაური ეუბნებოდა. და მერე იცით, რა მოხდა, საბა მოიგო. აი, ამ სხვისი სახელით დაწერილი მოთხრობების კრებულით - 2002 წელი იყო, ნომინაცია დებიუტი და ლამის ერთ-ერთი პირველი საბაც ანას ეჭირა.

დიდი სიამოვნებით მოვისმენდი ამ წიგნის ანას მიერ ჩატარებულ ლეზუნგს რამე კარგი ჩაიანი ღვინით, ან პირიქით, ღვინიანი ჩაით.
პირველი წიგნია რაც წავიკითხე, მაგრამ ვეჭვობ სხვებიც მომეწონება.
ჩემი ფავორიტი მოთხრობაა "ბერიკაობა". Great job, Dame Ana, Hats off!

the short summary gets it about right, and wrong. "short stories about men and women, love and hate, sex and disappointment, cynicism and hope---- "
this is true, these stories all deal with the above, via 'stereotypical?" strong Georgian women, and mostly bewildered, "typical" Georgian men, and others....but then this part of the summary is wrong, all wrong: "perhaps unique in that none of the stories reveal the time or place in which they occur..." when in fact this is exactly what is going to happen to you after your first toast in georgia, but south of the mountains please, you toast north of the mountains, you may be in trouble, and you are wondering why everything has potatoes in it, and how is it possible to drink a barrel of wine AND all that vodka (get you future read in the coffee grounds and be sure to make a wish, as it will, maybe, come true). plus this travel guide to georgia will allow you to see with educated eyes all the wonderful, unique architecture and natural wonders too on your visit. take a good pair of walking shoes, don't forget.

I usually tend to skip short stories collections as I enjoy big, fat books more, but this one had a couple of stories that left me speechless. Some of the characters are cruel, vicious, self-righteous, honest, and so much more. Ana Kordzaia-Samadashvili deals with sexuality and interpersonal relations of other sorts frankly and directly not shying away from using f-word abundantly. Some of the stories, though, are a bit too hermetic for those of us who are not really familiar with Georgian history, culture and context beyond a couple of facts, but other stores make up for the effort.

Translated from Georgian, this collection is billed as: 'Short stories about men and women, love and hate, sex and disappointment, cynicism and hope—perhaps unique in that none of the stories reveal the time or place in they occur: the world is too small now for it to matter.’ While I found the opening interviews with the author and translator fascinating, the rather pastoral stories didn’t seem to fit with that abstract description, and I couldn’t sustain any interest.

ძალიან იშვიათად ვკითხულობ ერთად თავმოყრილ პატარა მოთხრობებს, მაგრამ ვფიქრობ ავტორის თხრობის მარტივმა სტილმა და მისმა საოცარმა იუმორის გრძნობამ ამ წიგნში თავმოყრილი მოთხრობები, ერთიან, ლამაზ რგოლად აქცია. ამ წიგნში სხვადასხვა ადამიანების ისტორიებია მოცემული. სიყვარული, მეგობრობა, დეპრესია, ცხოვრებით ტკბობა, ნოსტალგია და უამრავი სხვა თემა ძალიან საინტერესოდ არის გადმოცემული.

I both really enjoyed the style, and took forever to finish this, forgetting where I was in a story and easily putting it down. And then everytime I picked it up finding a nice set of phrases. But just a few days out, and I can't remember any of them or a character.

I sadly feel a bit relieved to have finished this collection of short stories. Several are long enough to sink your teeth into which suits me well, several I really enjoyed with their cynicism and wry wit, many left me feeling flat and a couple just left me thinking wtf.

მე წავიკითხე "სახლი ძალიან შორს" სხვა ლიტერატურული ტექსტები ჯერ არ წამიკითხავს, და ვაპირებ წავიკითხო რადგან მომეწონა მისი განსხვავებული ცოტა ირონიული ზოგჯერ ძალიან გულუბრყვილო დამოკიდებულება პერსონაჟების მიმართ. აგრეთვე ლექსიკური სიუხეშეც, კარგად იცის "სიტყვისა და აზრის გამოხატვის თავისუფლების ფასი" სათქმელს არ ალამაზებს.

Ana Samadashvili's roller-coaster and breathless style of frank exposition takes some getting used to. It's rather like finding a loud and unexpected guest walk into your kitchen the morning, when all you want is peace and quiet. But as they continue to talk, you forget about your hangover and all the troubles the world is piling in on you. Suddenly a whole day has passed you by and you’re not only inviting them to supper but to stay as long as they want.
The tales recounted in the book are very much in the manner of traditional storytelling, revved up and rejuvenated for the modern world. The result is anything but a simplistic narrative. Instead it is full of colourful characters getting themselves into all kinds of crises and knotty situations. The writing is rich with wonderfully observed situations and is a masterclass in the skilful use of exposition. Samadashvili’s storytellers demonstrate how it is possible to use plain language to weave in subtext through character and place description, as well as sharp and witty dialogue.
Plain-speaking, the narrators certainly are, bringing their forthright opinions to bear on the subjects of sex, national pride and the complex relationships between human beings. Human nature is minutely observed, usually in a machine gun delivery of a stream of consciousness; although there are subtle and cleverly wrought changes of pace. The writing also manages to be hilarious, but at the same time poignant, often leaving the reader nodding their head at the observations of narrators who refuse to let life grind them down.

A welcome opportunity to discover another Georgian writer, thanks to the Dalkey Archive Press. This collection of short stories which focus on the relationships between men and women, on emotions and the difficulties of love and loss and surviving in an often hostile world, are challenging and hard-hitting at times, but I felt curiously disengaged from the characters. Whether there’s a cultural or linguistic divide that made me feel I was missing something, I really don’t know. However, I certainly enjoyed some of the stories and will probably go back to them at some point.
