Awesome story!! I loved them together. Sweet, funny and sexy. It seemed so much like real life. They were open with each other and cared enough to be real(possible period scene😂) I liked the ending how they all came together to protect her.

Damn the last page of Chapter 1! This author sure knows how to get her stories interesting!
This second installment is an enemies-to-lovers story of Devin and Darci, whom we encountered in the first book. Sparks flew between them and it is not quite surprising to find out here that they brought that spark to another level, if you know what I mean. As always, the banter here is *insert Italian kiss gesture*. But what makes this more interesting IMO is the side story of Darci's past. It's intriguing and I never expected that it would have a twist. Either way, the outcome is so satisfying that even the brokenhearted feels redeemed because the heartbreakers get what they freakin' deserve! hahaha!
I love and hate that this is short. These two characters have a lot of potentials, and I would have loved to read more from them.

This is book 2 in Maria's Love Serial series which was a weekly segment she did with her readers where they got to chose what direction Maria went next and then Maria worked her magic and wrote the next chapter.
I thought Devin and Darci's story was fun, hot and sweet! I loved their chemistry in the previous book, Breathless, and I loved that Devin made himself vulnerable by asking her out. I wasn't sure where Maria was going with this but I loved their candidness during their date about their pasts and how they both had each other's backs.
I wonder if Max will get his story and who will be his love interest. I sensed something with Holden but not sure if it was romantic or if they just knew each other from the club.

Fantastic rom-com!
From the first sentence containing my favorite romance book word to the first chapter ending with "Woof," I knew this was going to be a fun ride. Devin and Darci bring new meaning to "hate sex" and their escapades are absolutely hilarious. But also filled with this author's trademark emotional depth and truly romantic connections.
I read it first as she was writing it (a weekly reader-voted serial) and read it again recently just because it's so much fun. It gets better each time I read it, and I can't recommend it highly enough. It's a short novella but well worth your time.

Another voted on weekly serial by Maria Luis, this one was surprisingly successful. Unlike the last one, it was actually believable that the protagonists liked each other. I liked the premise that the hero wanted to back up and restart the relationship with real dates and no sex. It would have made a genuinely good story if stretched out longer than 1 date. The last chapter was weird and unnecessary, but she includes her weekly reader’s survey at the end, and apparently she offered a “wrap it up” option and they voted for more drama instead.

Oh my God! I was laughing so hard in places my hubby kept looking at me like I had lost it! This was so freaking funny and for a short story, it packed a lot in it. The MCs were relatable, the story of two commitment -phobes both wanting more - you couldn't help but want them to work out. No unnecessary angst, miscommunication or OM/OW drama. Just the type of quick, funny, sexy read I needed to get my reading mojo back. Thanks Ms. Luis!

This was a really fun short story. When Devin and Darci start hooking up, she is determined that it is only going to be a one night stand. Then it becomes an anytime stand, but never in a bed. Until Devin's best friend tells him that Darci is married. He can't believe she lied to him, so he decides he is going to get Darci to open up and let him in. He's going to make her fall in love with him, much to Darci's chagrin.

This story was written in a serial form and between the chapters the readers voted what is going to happen next. I think it shows a little in the plotting but the couple makes it work. It was not clear to me why the blurb says their mutual hatred fuels the sex. They're both a bit commitment phobic but I didn't see any particular reason for them to hate each other.

This was a cute short story about Darci, restaurant manager, and her lawyer hook up Devin as they realize that they want to be more than just hooking up. Their banter is pretty cute and there is enough story in this short to get to know them both.

Ahh.. Loving this story so much! So intense and this one has a little bit drama which is 👌. I've always loved friendship like Darci and Holden, strong bonds 💪. So now, waiting for book 3 😏

It was such a sweet spicy short treat. Being a novella didn't stole the magic from the story. It was quite fun to be on the short journey.
