The fixer got fixed
Monique Carter was the fixer called in to help fix the debacle the the CEO of the multi million dollar company Media Tech Innovations, Pearson Grant had gotten himself into. Monique was the young 30 year old owner of her fledgling publicity company The Fix. She knew that if she successfully fixed the debacle that the megalomaniac CEO of Media Tech Innovations, Pearson Grant had gotten himself in, she was well on her way to a successful business from just his recommendations alone. What neither one of them was expecting on that first meeting was the strong pull they had for each other. Monique struggled to stay professional in all ways at all times while Pearson was on the hunt to find a way to get her to drop her walls. He was successful when he got her to go out of town to Vegas on a business trip. There, he was able to get her to relax and their connection went into over drive being away from the stress of their Dallas hometown and work. He was able to get her to do things she would normally not do, she was so caught up in his persona. What stays in Vegas stays in Vegas right....WRONG. Their Dallas troubles follow them to Vegas, and both of them have to come clean with their problems. They were in it together and now they would solve their problems together. Pearson was determined to protect his woman at all cost, regardless of who it was, be it an ex or family or unloyal friend.
This was my first read by Kasey Martin and it won't be my last. I love the way she writes. I could not put this book down from page one to the end. The chemistry between Monique and Pearson was off the chain erotic, when Monique let her inner freak fly. This was a well done plot and story line. It was full of drama, action and mystery that had me guessing whom the betrayers were. I figured out one but did not guess who the second one was. Even though both Monique and Pearson were dealing with betrayal of trusted friends and family, they managed to stay true to each other and get their HEA. I just know that Kasey has a story about Venus, Dom and Keifer. She's already hinted at that and I'm so ready to read their story.

This book was a page turner! I literally took my Friday night and got lost in this novel. It is very well written and developed. I would recommend this novel.

I thought this book was a good read over all. I never read book where everyone was messed up. Monique's Problem was her sister and Mother wouldn't or couldn't deal with the problems they had with one another. Luanne probably had an affair on her husband to the man that she was having his baby and he didn't want her. So Luanne went crawling back to her husband and he took her back and adopting the man's baby and raised Ashley as his baby. But never telling Ashley the truth which all the family knew and years later told it out of spite to Luanne.
Luanne instead of dealing with it and telling Ashley the truth. Ashley having a hard accepting that she was born out of an affair. Both women took their anger and shame out on Monique. That's probably why Monique became a Fixer to other people's problems. Because she couldn't fix the problems in her own family
Pearson, I didn't know what to think about him at first. He had a hard time keeping is temper in check. I was think that Monique was in for a hard fought battle with this guy. But the more he wanted to be with Monique. The more he lighten up and turn out to be a great and wonderful guys.
When Monique thought Damion was cheating on her. I just knew it was the Sister Ashley. The way she was flirting with Damion at the Family Dinner and her mother was okay with it. Well, of course she was Luanne was a cheater herself.
Nikki was a shock to me when I found out that Damion was cheating with her too. I just thought that Nikki was jealous of Monique and Damion's relationship the way she was talking to Monique at the bar about Damion. All I can say is all three are nasty Whores. No one cared that they were hurting Monique. I always wondered what happened to those three.. Did anyone of those women ended up with Damion? Or did Ashley and Nikki get together and beat Damion up?

Very good...but a rushed ending
This book made me have all the feelings. Let’s just say the bitch and backstabbing sister and friend was too much and their betrayal nearly trumps the one her boyfriend, Damon does by sleeping with both of them. OMG! I was sooo ready for Monique to “beat that ass!” Lol The family dynamic was a trip too. Parents like to believe that they don’t have a favorite, but the truth is always in the way each child is treated and damnit the momma was treating Monique like shit and her sister, Ashley, like she could do no wrong. This book was all in all very good. There was one part of the book that had me confused like, “Whaaattt?!” I couldn’t understand how towards the end of the book how Pearson and Monique are engaging in foreplay and then all of sudden he drops to one knee to propose? Who in their right mind has that much will power to stop an intensely delicious and aggressive form of foreplay to perform a serious act such as proposing? No one! Lol but again, minus that confused part of the story, the book was well executed. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

Honestly, there wasn’t a lot of chemistry between Pear and Moni. It was not palpable. Nevertheless, I did enjoy their story. I look forward to reading Kasey Martin’s next book.

Fantastic Book

A little long winded...

Hummmm, this definitely needed a fixer!!!
This was such a wonderful story. A little bit rushed at the end, too slow at the beginning, but still just right...
Pearson was, WOW... Man, I will never be able to look at a "pear" without thinking of this story for a while. Pearson "Pear" was so just right, so exquisite, so hardcore, so handsome, so down to earth, so real, so beautiful and so "I want my own pear" type of guy, that he literarily took my breath away.
Monique was, man hood like no other... She was so independent, down to earth, a little bit gullible and annoying (ex needs to stay in the ex zone at all times) yet, she was the epitome badass chick. Beautiful, smart, Savy, intelligent were all her and she made it work right.
Like I said, this was a slow process to begin with, then it felt extremely rushed but ended just right....
Damon, Nikki, and Ashley were so bad, I just wished something would have happened to them, but karma will get them. Venus and Dom, man (hint, hint!!) these two would be so perfect, hilarious together but truthfully Venus could make any one perfect with her, she is that nice. Keiffer is a close one too but Kelsey is there too...
But all in all this was a really different and exquisite story, and I can't wait for the next one

Pearson was an intense unapologetic self centered tech billionaire. He is caught on a hot mic making sexist and potentially body shaming comments about a female interviewer. Monique is brought in to do damage control. From the minute she walks into his view antisocial Pearson is smitten. They have
obstacles to overcome....her trifling boyfriend, fake friend, non-supportive mother, and her jealous sister. However, Pearson has even bigger problems, someone is trying to sabotage his business and kill him!
In a ploy to get her alone, Pearson take Monique to Vegas for a conference. I won’t give out spoilers but this was my favorite part of the book. I love how once they connected there was no wishy washy back and forth....they loved hard and Pearson was such a alpha but funny lover. Great read.

I like Monique and Pearson
This is my first read from this author and I have to say that she automatically earned 1 star for having it set in my hometown. I know that’s crazy, but I love my city and Dallas is that awesome. Now on the story!
I have to say that I liked the characters. For some reason I felt like I couldn’t get a good visual on them, but it didn’t fully take away from the story. The other thing is that the subplot of the corporate takeover was very rushed, but I don’t think it made the story suffer because it focused on Monique and Pearson’s personal lives.
I will warn that some things are trope-y and there’s a rush to wrap everything up with a pretty bow, but the story is still enjoyable. I definitely give it a solid 3.5-4 stars.

Wow, an emotionally sexy hot story. I didn’t like Pearson at first because I thought he was a jerk, and a chauvinist. As story progressed I grew to really like him. That man was so head over heels in love with Monique it was sweet and sexy. I loved how he was written, and how he always put her needs ahead of his own. Was not surprised who the villain was. I’d love to see Venus with Dom.
Her family was awful, especially that bratty sister. Monique was wise to distance herself from her awful mother and sister. She deserved the beat down. It took courage to walk away from them but I have no doubt Pearson’s love and devotion was what she needed. He would give her the moon if she asked for it. They’re a perfect match.

What a Unique and witty love story. Monique has has the worst luck in relationships, be it Family or the matter of the Heart.
My girl has been though it all and now have too help a Complete Asshat Pearson, who made the mistake of calling out a Reporter on her defects(WAS LMAO) Who would of thought sparks would fly of two totally opposite people.
But Pearson must have his Beautiful no matter what.
Betrayed by Her Triffling Sister, and no support from her Mother to her Shank backstepping Bestfriend. This story has it all and then some.
Truly the best of the series hands Down💖💗💞

Great story
This book was another great story but Mrs Martin!! Monique and Pearson meet because she has to help him fix his image after he is recorded saying something very dumb. Of course in the beginning she has to pretend like she is not attracted to him because she has a boyfriend and he is her client. That changes when they go on a trip together. The trip is to Las Vegas so you know some stuff happens there!! I don't wanna spoil anything so I won't say much more. Just know that I loved them as a couple and as individuals!! Great story!!

Moni and Pear
Nikki should have gotten that same work Ashley got even tho Ashley's betrayal may have hurt worse, it was still the same. Damon needed his ass beat even more, lil nasty bastard. Her mama outta be ashamed for upholding the wrong that Ashley do. I'm glad Venus was a real friend to Monique. Pearson is a true alpha that don't care what people think or say about him, but thanks to his reckless mouth he found his future wife. Monique really made him a better person and man.💖💖

Good read
This was one of Kaseys better books (cause we all know some don’t hit quite right).
This had a whole mess of drama and it just kept coming at you, but it made sense (mostly, mom is trippin’).
It had two strong main characters that had real life flaws (It really is so much easier to give good advice than to follow it).
Best of all it has the right amount of love/sexy time and I was there for it!
Now, I need Venus’ story because she is a whole mess that needs unpacking. I’m ready!

When betrayal is set to stomp your growth but love won’t let you settle. This here book speaks volumes on how no matter what the universe throws at you, loyalty amongst friends may be little to none but the some that are true will always be there to see, root and cheer you on through to the end while you over come what’s set up to bring you down. Happiness and love makes this book wonderfully amazing.

I enjoyed this
Monique and Pearson were a fun couple to read. Their story was cute and I liked that Pearson's pursuit of her turned into his realization that it was beyond just trying to get her in bed but that he really was falling for her. I didn't get any Monique had such a horrid family but that side story added to her drama and that horrible boyfriend was wow. Well, convenient my enough, she had a rich stud waiting in the wings for her. I liked it. Great love scenes too!

From start to finish this book was so amazing! Pearson had it bad for Monique & she him. Although she tried to ignore how she felt for him, it still showed! I loved that they got their happily ever after! Monique sister and friend wasn’t ish for what they did! As well as Pearson VP of his job! I’m glad they all got what they deserve! Pearson & Monique belonged together and I’m happy everything worked out for them!

Loved This Book
OMG I loved this book, the story reads like two different books. We start off with the scandal that leads our two main characters to meeting. The issues with Moni boyfriend and family were heartbreaking. But then the betrayal and life threatening moments that happen in the second half of the book, will lead the reader on a wild ride. Also the book was steamy sexy!

One man show gets to be monotonous at times so a little help is in order…

Loved it.
From the sneak peek of the last book I've been hooked. This book wasn't a disappointment, on my on some many levels you shouldn't miss this read.
