I got this book from an author in exchange for an honest review.
There are so many things about this book that could be said.... should be said, but this book tells a different story for everyone. The victim and the survivor.
Miley is in an unhappy marriage, with an abusive, degrading husband so she finds solace in a younger man named Brax, who wins you over from the start. He wins Miley over, too, and even though Miley's married you're rooting for them to be together.
Yes, the book has some cheating, and some people hate that, but in this instance I can see why she did it. I mean husband did it, why couldn't she? I think in doing so, she found her old self before the abuse and was able to stand up for herself once and for all.
The ending killed me, hell the whole book killed me. Several times I wanted to shout and throw pillows. The book was heavy, emotional, but also so freeing. I LOVED it.
If you don't mind cheating, I HIGHLY suggest this book. You'll fall in love within the first few pages and even if you don't... you'll be glad you read it.

Unexpected Attention by Aleisha Maree is a contemporary romance, with so much angst, some darkness, anguish, drama, loneliness, heartache, chemistry, tension, secrets, lies, betrayal, discoveries, finding yourself, freedom, new beginnings… and so much more. I really don’t know where to start telling you about this story- because when I got to the end I just sat there looking at my screen- with so many things running through my mind. I won’t lie, there were parts of this story that were difficult to read- because of the darker elements, emotion, and heartache that was unfolding before my eyes. There were many times I was yelling at my kindle, cursing out the characters, the situations, and Aleisha Maree! This story is so many shades of WTF, but at the same time it is entirely believable. My heart ached for the situation, and when everything was said and done, I just wanted to give Miley the biggest hug!
I started "Unexpected Attention" and got sucked into the story immediately. Could I put it down.... Oh, No! I was glued to the freaking pages, needing to know what happens. Aleisha Maree sucked me into the story- I was THERE as the story unfolded. I felt ALL the emotion, chemistry, angst, tension, torment, turmoil, and yearning- it was palpable, powerful, gritty, raw, and intense.
I wanted to throat punch certain characters at times and may have even contemplated running one down with a car- he was such a douche canoe!!! Anyway, this is a story that will stay with me long after I close the cover- and that ending!!! I certainly hope we get to revisit Miley in the future!
SO, go get your binge on, and let this story suck you into its vortex, like it did me!

This story was a beautiful story of shattered marriage and a new found love that takes your breath away. This is the story of Miley whose husband is a cheating avatars who beats his wife and treats her like she is nothing. Miley meets Be as who treats her like she is everything and worships her like she deserves but he is younger and not quite ready for a grown up relationship or ready made family.
When Miley finally gets up the nerve to leave her husband after he rapes and beats her and she finds out he's been cheating they're whole marriage and has other children she feels a sense of freedom. She feels like her and Be as can finally make a go of it and he might be ready for a real relationship but he proves otherwise. Miley decides she deserves better than to be kept in the dark so she lets him go also and decides to just be there for her and her kids. A truly heroin story of a woman who overcome and becomes stronger for her and her children. You must read this story it's amazing.

What a raw emotional book of one womans tale of being a wife, mother, and all that. Who has a cheating husband and she turns to social media to try and live thur others. It has a taboo twist older woman/ younger man. It puts what we all think relationship should be and makes you think that all is not as seems.
The love, heartbreak, ups and downs and the truth and lies will have you turning page after page to see what happens.

OMG Aleisha you done it and blown me away with unexpected attention...
OMG I hated Gary from start he was cheating on miley and was abusive to her...I was digging brax and miley all the way through but now brax is an ass. Playing games with mileys feelings. But miley sure shows you how strong us women are towards both Gary and brax....
Miley is a mother of 2 in an unhappy abusive marriage to Gary. and one day miley gets a notification on Snapchat of an add from brax and things start off there from the unexpected attention...

Brax! Omg! He would be a dream come true if he were mine.
Unexpected Attentions is so very readable. I loved the way it builds, and wow, the end was not what I expected. Aleisha Maree writes of Miley’s everyday life and weaves a stirring and fascinating narrative. This book circles and surrounds you, and it really gets you hooked. I was highly impressed with the way the story opened up and what a staggeringly sexy read it was. Well done. Give me more, I loved it.

This is a new author to me so I was unsure what to expect. The heroine, Milly, grated on my nerves to begin with but by the end of the book I was definitely rooting for her. From an abusive husband and a selfish lover it's no wonder she feels downtrodden. I liked the book well enough but I couldn't quite get into it. I would definitely read more by this author though.

I'm still reeling from this story... what starts off as a little online flirting between a lonely and abused woman and a younger sexy guy turns into so much more...
Miley is a character you can really relate to on so many levels.... the good and the bad... and you may be left re-evaluating some of your own life by the end of her story of her finding herself again...

I absolutely LOVE this book!
I had moments of laughing and almost crying but really enjoyed it. You will want to read till it is over and then wish it wasn't.

I rate this 4.5 stars. I really enjoyed this book. It was different than most books I read and i liked how the author wrote the story. I love the empowerment of Miley in the end. It had me captured in this woman’s story and i couldn’t wait to find out what she was going to do next.

This book b.c. was really good. I liked the unique story about starting out as just a hook up and it becoming something way more emotional. Great chemistry and characters.

Unexpected Attention is a very different story, one that makes you really think about relationships and the possibilities of what could happen given certain situations.
Miley was a complex character and I liked her although I really wanted to corner her at times to have a good chat and try to ‘wake her up’ about things! The fact that she put herself last every single time had me so frustrated even when she embarked on the affair with Brax. Her inner strength was there she just had to reach in and grab it, famous last words because that’s probably one of the hardest things to do.
Now Brax, he might have been a hunk who did like Miley but his self centred attitude annoyed the heck out of me. He was younger but not a kid and yet it showed he hadn’t grown up much really while Miley had grown in such a different way with so many responsibilities. Yet Garry has to be the biggest jerk on the planet and that’s being polite! I absolutely loved chapter sixteen..enough said!
