How far would you go to help a friend? A new series by USA Today bestselling author, Sarah K. L. Wilson.
My dragon took off to help someone in need - of course! That's just the kind of person *ahem* dragon that she is. But it's left me in a bit of a spot.
Especially, since she insists that I take Bataar's place in an epically bad display of courage.
I'm no hero, but it looks like I'll be acting like one ... again.
Perfect for dragon lovers everywhere, DRAGON CHAMELEON: ROGUE is episode one of a brand new series set in the world of DRAGON SCHOOL. It's the perfect beginning for readers new to this fantasy world but still contains hidden gems for long-time fans. Enjoy!

She loves writing because it is the only way to make a living and give back to the world when your primary skill is an overactive imagination and a tendency toward violent daydreams. You can find Sarah's books in paperback, hardcover, ebook and audiobook and they have also been translated into Italian, German, and (very soon) Turkish. Please, do, enjoy the read!
Tor is on a mission, I really difficult, dangerous and stupid mission. And what's worse? He's on his own for a while, with only Zin as back up.
Zyla is captured, Baraak has made a challenged, Sabarook has to help her own kind but hates that she has to leave Tor on his own And Tor? Well he keeps complaining of how much he isn't a hero and yet he always manages to do hero work.
We are in for a ride of emotions, for example, happiness and fright, sadness and anger, a bit of jealousy (mostly by Tor) and even betrayal! I promise you, you will be shocked!
Join Tor and in his adventures now! You'll love his inner monologue and over dramatised speeches and actions! Definitely worth it!
Received a copy from the author herself, for an honest review, thank you!
Amazing episode! Tor finds himself in a position he really doesn't want to be, but despite his insistent remarks on how he is not a hero, he does it anyway (how long before he starts to notice that that is exactly what heroes do?) He doesn't have Saboraak to (literally ;) ) fall back on, because she's on her way rescueing dragons (which is pretty awesome too). Without wanting to betray too much, this is an awesome mix between excitement, fear, trust and betrayal with a very mean cliffhanger (sorry fellow passengers in the train who were around when I finished it, because I might have let out my frustation that it was finished a bit more loud than I would have wanted in public)
God these books are getting good. One after the other ramping up each time. I will admit I am really engrossed now. After all I read this one on one sitting. Roll on book six. Highly recommended.
Man, things just keep getting more and more intense.
So, all of the enemies, thus far, plan to wage war on the Dominion due to the decreasing magic. They want to invade to steal the last remaining magic and take the Dominion's dragons for themselves. Just as they did with the souls of the dragon riders, they want to use the souls of the dragons in order to power Golems fashioned in the design of dragons. The enemies have even managed to create dragon like fire from the grey dust we saw in previous books when Tor first met Baatar. Furthermore, to make matters worse and what a blow it was, Zyla has betrayed everyone. Her eyes with the same silver swirl that marks the usage of a dragon rider's soul to power relics and artifacts, Zyla sports them. And yet, despite this Tor still decides to save her because what would Sabaarok do. Gsjahwogsksbw. Tor.
Boy if it was me. I would be like fck her. You can go and die for being a traitor. Lol. I hate to say it, but I never really liked Zyla to begin with. I need serious answers as to why would she. We demand answers from you Zyla wtf?!! I really hope with all of this Tor does not end up together with her. I actually kind of like Tor better with Zin even if he says to not like her romantically.
Still, just those visions he had when he and Apeq were tested. All those lives he had lived. Riding a red dragon and dying in vain, in failure, unable to stop the Golems from invading the Dominion; marrying Zyla, marrying Zin, having kids. Sowhjwowhwo. Make him marrying Zin canon!!!
With all the intense craziness going on I need all the answers!!
And to top it off it looks like Tor is hurt. Seems to be like Shabren (whatever his name is akabhehwjekns) was able to struck him with a lightning bolt before he passed through the archway. Poor boy deserves to rest and sleep for like a thousand years. Hopefully with everyone passing the gate that means they are safe, but who knows. The bad guys could easily follow them.
Will have to keep on reading to see what happens as war is brewing drawing even more near!! Especially with people seeming to want Apeq as ruler despite their ancestors choosing Tor. Ahhh. This series.

“Feel the rush and fly the run, and sound the warning cry!”
EPISODE 5: An exciting episode that seems to move quickly. The reader will profit from either reading it slowly the first time (Ha! bet you can’t!) or going back and re-reading it to catch all the nuisances. Zin is spouting prophecies that have so much more meaning on re-reading. There is a major test in this episode, which he must pass in order to start on the course that seems to be laid out for him or some other Hero, to assume leadership in this time of upheaval by the Magikas.
*OVERVIEW for those wanting more details** An episode wherein Tor is tested on the Seat of Judgement and found to be worthy of ruling, although this is not welcomed in the mountain city. That test leaves Tor feeling as if he has been “born again” in that the experience has allowed him to gain insight into all kinds off people, all sorts of trouble and problems, fight in heretofore unimaginable battles.......it changes him into a different, more insightful and mature young man. In choosing Tor, the Seat of Judgement marks him with an undeniable mark of Ko, this time on his face. Tor must use the knowledge he gained during the test to escape Apeq and his “golems”, and rescue Hubric, Kyrowat, Zyla and Zin.
CRITIQUE: Once again, an exciting adventure awaits the reader. The storyline takes a more sober tone as the test unfolds and Tor responds to it. We see Tor mature right before our eyes. Imaginative machines powered by *****(the reader will learn what) are ready to be unleashed by Apeq in his power bid. The tenuous relationship between Zyla and Tor is sweet, yet wrought with misunderstandings and the uncertain feelings experienced by teens in their first relationship. This episode leaves one hungry for the next. I received a free copy of this book. I am gladly sharing my thoughts about it.
Dragon Chameleon: Silver Eyes is the continuation of Tor’s story and things continue to get interesting for these characters. The story picks up where the last off with Tor and Zin on their own and trying to stay out of danger. But it seems that they are meant to throw themselves into the very fires that they wish to escape. Now Tor is called upon to step up in Bataar’s place to stand against Apeq. The question is not will he but can he? This story has a slightly slower pace for me, but it picks up the pace after halfway through the story. The author does a good job of keeping the reader in suspense as to what is going to happen. You begin to think one thing concerning the characters only for the author to turn around and have you question yourself. There is quite a bit going on in the second half of this story as things quickly begin to fall into place as to what is to come for so many. My only disappointment concerning this book is that I was expecting more emphasis on the “silver eyes.” I had thought that Tor would see in the eyes of more people and that there would be the return of that danger as they exploded all around him. That doesn’t happen in this book so I was a bit disappointed. I am rating this book 4.5 out of stars. The story is good, starts a bit slow for picking up where the last left off, and I felt let down by the title, but I am eager for the next installment.
Where oh where is Saboraak? And Tor, brave Tor, bold Tor, what is he to do now, after that gruesome discovery?
Quote: “Well, we were in quite the pickle. Saboraak was bound by honor to help her own. I was bound to prevent a war. Bataar thought he was bound to prophecy and legend. We were quite the bunch.”
A dragon with a big heart and a boy with a big mouth. And Zin, she is…I don’t know how to put it. More capable than we thought? Less crazy? There’s more to her than meets the eye, that’s for sure.
I was holding my breath the entire time. I could NOT stop reading. I did miss Saboraak. She doesn’t have a big role in this episode. I just love her to bits!!!
Yes, a big ol’ cliffy but I don’t mind because this series is being written so fast I never have to wait long for the next episode. The quality of this series is so high!
While Saboraak and Bataar are off saving the dragons, Tor must stand in Bataar's place against a chanting crowd of people who are seconds away from becoming a mob. He's not only up against a possible mob and their crazy ritual, but he's also up against the two-faced Apeq and something dangerous that is made by magic and human hands. Tor is worried for himself, but he's also worried for Zin and Zyla who are in the crowd watching. No one is safe and the ritual has begun. Will Tor survive it and will he be able to keep the sisters safe?
Disclosure: I received an eARC of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.
As always, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Tor finds himself in an unenviable position. Saboraak has taken the dragons which she has managed to free, somewhere to get healed - hopefully. Bataar has gone with her. However, Bataar has challenged Apeq to a kind of battle to see who will reign in this country. As Bataar is not there for the battle, Tor is to disguise himself and take his place. So much hangs in the balance - Zyla, Zin, the dragons and any riders still alive. Can he hang on until help arrives or not?
Oh, this is a good one. First of all, all the magic and motives are more clearer now for me. Tor has to stand against Apeq and Saboraak is not there to bail him out, the boy is on his own. No, wait, he has Zin and I come to believe that this is as good as a dragon. I really love Zin – she seems to be away with the fairies but more aware of everything going on then some others. The end is another torturous cliffhanger but I'm sure everyone is alright, after all, there are some more books planned in the series! Can't wait!
I have waited till this 5th book of the Dragon Chameleon series to write a review. I read all 5 books and loved everyone. The world that is built and the characters all just pull you in, the bantering the dragon does is the best. The only problem is when that happens to me, I read so fast I'm at the end before I know it. And it leaves me wanting more of course, that's good writing. Thank you Ms. Sarah. I do recommend this series of books, they are a lot of fun and flaming is the only swear word you'll find lol.
Tor is the poster boy for heroism but he doen't see himself as such. He is thrust into the fire by impersonating Bataar to try and defeat Apeq for control of Ko'Koren. But he has lost Zin, and Saboraak is MIA due to trying to save the dying dragons. When all seems lost, Tor again finds a way to help old friends but are they truly safe now. I received an ARC of this ebook, and I can't wait to see what happens in the next chapter. Be safe Tor!!
Tor and Saboraak are carrying out seperate missions both, as usual, dangerous. Tor has to fight for honour, while Saboraak fights with honour, for the lives of dragons. The girls still need rescuing, the bad people are still doing bad things, even though Tor is doing his best to foil them. Grab your copy curl up and enjoy. Highly recommend.
This is the fifth book in the Dragon Chameleon series and I was on the edge of my seat while reading this. Tor is always finding himself in positions that he really does not want to be in, it seems that if anything can go wrong for Tor it will. I can not wait to see what is in store for Tor in the next book. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book
Dragon Chameleon: Silver eyes is book five in this fabulous fantasy adventure series. I definitely recommend you read the whole series in order. Tor and Saboraak are still facing dangers they don't fully understand yet. As events escalate Tor has to do whatever it takes to save himself, his Dragon and his friends. This is another action packed episode in this brilliant series.
Silver Eyes, my twenty-ninth read from author Sarah K.L. Wilson & the fifth book in the Dragon Chameleon series. These serials read more like long chapters. A very quick read that you can't wait to get to the end of the page so you can turn the page and get to the end of the page so you can turn the page and get to the next book, you get the picture. I can’t wait for the next book.
As the story further unfolds, Tor must rely on himself more and more. I like the fact that he now feels responsible for so many people and dragons--he certainly has come a long way! It appears the prophecy can be manipulated...not a good thing for Tor. I can't wait to read the next chapter in this tale.
Really enjoying this series, each instalment leaves you wanting more.
Tor has to take Bataar's place in a contest to determine leadership of the Exalted and the Nation. Seems simple right? Just keep your face hidden in the robes of the Kav'ai so they don't know its not him....
Sarah i love ava hate you so bad at the end of each book! Tor has become one of my favorite characters. With the need to save zin and her sister and with no help in sight he must make a way like the thief that he is.
You know how some people describe books like riding a roller coaster. This book is like riding one with no seat belt. Or to keep it in the same story line. Like riding a Dragon with no harness.
Tor and friends have all split up. Saboraak and Bataar are trying to take care of the dragons, Zyla is with Apeq and Tor is trying to keep Zin safe. So much is going on and will Tor be able to find his way out of trouble??
Tor is on his own. As his dragon is helping his own kind and he has to deal with matters at hand. Nothing will be easy. I'm getting more and more irritated by Tor's behavior. I hope he will change in the next books as growing up is an important part of those books.
I was at a lost at times as to where the plot was going, I didn't see the reasoning in the escape sequence. For me there were to many things going on and I got confused trying to figure things out
Sarah writes a wonderful fantasy with dragons and gives her characters so much development, they feel like real people. Love the main character is the thief they caught and ended up helping them in the end. Love how he has to fight and wins in the end.
I love this series! Tor and Saboraak are in even more trouble than the last book. And I am loving it. The humor, the action and adventure. It's a fast-paced ride that leaves you gasping at the end.
I think these stories are getting better as they go, loving the world and character development! But that ending... oihasdgsdagui (keyboard-slam) not cool! :P
