Valentine's Day Virgin

Rate this book
I've never had a good Valentine's Day.
And when I think this year could be different, I accidentally destroy a display of overpriced chocolates at the mall. Fortunately, a wonderful woman pays for all the damage I caused.
But her kindness isn't free.
She wants me to go on a date with her brother.
All I have to do is attend a fancy party with a man I've never met before. Then we do meet, and I know I'll never be able to forget him. He's powerful, stacked, and his smirk tells me he's eager to get his hands on me.
I think we can keep things professional...
Then he finds out I'm a virgin.
Now he's more beast than man, lusting to show me what he can do that all my other exes were too afraid to try. He calls them weak, and himself lucky.
Could this Valentine's Day be the first one I enjoy?
Or will his secret ruin more than just the holiday?

The perfect little read, just in time for Valentine's day.
A really sweet and super-enjoyable short story.
It was such a "delicious" afternoon indulgence for me, I loved both the "Holiday" themed story and also the adorable MC's.

This is one of Penny Wylder's best in my opinion.
.....and I am pretty sure at this point that I have read more than enough of her "sexy novellas" to make such a judgement.....

So go ahead, treat yourself to a few hours of fun. Available now on KU or currently 99 cents on Amazon.
....and Happy Valentine's Day to all my wonderful goodreads friends......

This romance was sweet, funny and steamy. Hero hates Valentine's day and heroine loves it. He is a successful CEO and she is jobless. She's roped into being Eric's date for a family party and sparks fly. Hero is jaded but Sally's innocence captivates him. Can she make him believe in love again?

Loved this! Eric and Sally’s chemistry is awesome and I loved them together. Sadly we didn't get an epilogue with babies but I totally recommend this sweet book. A perfect romantic read.

I know lots of people find it hard to rate such a small book 5 stars, I don't!
When the story feels so real and manages to pull you in and make you feel even how short it is it deserves 5stars!

I liked it from the beginning it was very funny and also very serious too! I really enjoyed this one and I would love to get Bianca's story too that would be a great one as well!

Hot, Steamy and a lot of fun!

Valentine’s Day Virgin was a stand-alone by Penny Wylder.

Sally Landing was a romantic at heart with Valentine’s Day as her favorite holiday. However, she made poor choices for relationships, was a twenty five year old virgin and had never had a date for that special day.

Eric Marshall was the CEO of Marshall Greetings, a greeting card company whose biggest holiday was Valentine’s day. He hated the day and had too many bad memories associated with the sappy day.

The entire storyline was built around how the two met, Sally’s virginity and the secret behind why Eric hated Valentines Day. There was also a mystery vibe behind Eric’s mother and a significant event from their past. Wylder brought the story full circle concluding at Valentine’s Day; however; with a quick novella, there were a few gaps that still remained that I wanted concluded. There were also several editing errors which were distracting. Otherwise, it was a quick and entertaining, sexy read.

Sadly..

..this may become my last PW book for a while. The last couple have really gone downhill. It's totally flat. Not even a little spark of heat or connection especially considering this was a 'virgin' storyline. The premise of the book didn't even make sense.

Valentine’s Day Virgin
By Penny Wylder
Brought to you by OBS reviewer Heidi

Sally Landing has never had a date on Valentine’s Day and she thought this would be the year that changed. However, her boyfriend broke up with her a little over a week before the holiday and she has resigned herself to being dateless for another year.

Sally’s job isn’t going any better than her love life. She works at a chocolate cart in the mall and an oversight leaves her chasing her runaway cart and nearly killing a woman with it. Luckily the woman, Bianca, was very kind to her and even offered to pay for the damages. Unfortunately, her boss wasn’t so nice and fired her.

Sally fully intended to pay Bianca back, but Bianca asked her to do her a favor instead; be her brother’s date to their mom’s Valentine’s party. Sally jumped at the chance to clear her debt and to finally have a date on Valentine’s Day. However, she never expected Eric to be so hot! This is a date she’ll never forget and one she wishes could last forever.

This book was pretty cheesy, especially in the beginning. It felt like a made for TV Valentine’s movie except it was a highly sexed up version. I found it extremely unlikely how quickly she took to Eric’s advances, especially considering she’s a virgin, and I found him to be way too forward with her. Sally was also annoyingly naive.

This book does have a sweet happily ever after ending that you would expect in a Hallmark or other TV movie. It is a quick steamy read if you’re looking for something to pass the time. I found this was an okay read, but was nothing all that special.

This story will surely get you in the mood for a sexy Valentine’s Day!

Sally’s a disaster...but that serves her well for once. An unfortunate accident leaves her indebted to Bianca Marshall. Bianca finds the perfect opportunity to settle that debt, and she gets Sally to agree to be her brother Eric’s date for a Valentine’s Day Party.

Eric is a successful CEO, incredibly HOT and hater of all things associated with Valentine’s Day!

The unexpected blind date ends up being everything they both needed. Someone who has always dreamed of the perfect Valentine meets her match with Mr. Anti-Valentine’s Day! Sometimes it just takes the right girl to change your mind.

This story is short, sweet and filled with sexy times! The chemistry is HOT! It will set the perfect tone for this romantic holiday.

I wonder if Penny is looking to do more calmer or tamer reads, maybe boarden her style of writing so to speak? just so you know 3 stars is not bad!! i find it at times tough to review, i loved the book but it was a different variety than I am use to from Penny ...which is great!! but I still have my faves??! u know??! ... not that they are not steamy hot times, this was a real rom com to me? Did I read it wrong? i think it would work for a movie enough!!? so hilarious!! make sure you are not eating or drinking in the beginning ... or u may have drink or food flying ... Oh My Goodness!! so funny!! loved it!! such a great new style.

You'll love this book and the timing's perfect - just in time for Valentine's Day. Who would imagine that destroying a fancy chocolate display at a mall would change your life? Bianca comes to Sally's rescue and pays for the damages. All that's required for repayment is for Sally to go on a blind date with Bianca's brother, Eric. The story starts to heat up when Sally, a virgin meets Mr Sexy Eric who hates Valentine's Day. Insta-love and explosive chemistry make for a sexy story that was short and sweet. Great characters and an entertaining story. I read an arc copy and voluntarily chose to review.

Eric and Sally get thrown together for Valentine's Day and what happens next makes for a delicious treat of a book. Sally and Eric had scorching chemistry and their scenes just pulsed with chemistry and their connection was off the charts intense. All I can say is Cupid has a hand in putting together the billionaire and the pretty klutz. This is a story that you have to read to fully appreciate. Hot, sexy, sweet and cute. Perfect Valentine's romance read!!!

A different view on V-Day

This is the second book of Penny's that I have read; I read The Billionaire's Virgin first.

But the story in this one is so much more in depth and the scenes are so sensual and romantic.

Penny I have found has a great way of writing scenes that empower women to explore different sexual acts and positions to learn how to know what THEY like.

In this book we get Sally a hopeless romantic especially for V-Day who has had c**p boyfriends previously. And as if 'cupid himself' caused a chance calamity with Eric's sister she ends up as a blind date for a V-Day party in 3 days time.
But after their first meeting that blind date turns into a date-a-day with Eric before the big party.

Where you would usually see a big bust-up then an apology and a momentous get together. That doesn't happen; instead some past truths are revealed that enables Sally to see Eric clearer and so takes it on herself to make him love Valentine's Day.

I really enjoyed all of these scenes because it wasn't about a girl wanting to get 'rid' or 'sell' her virginity but it being there that it would be an eventual thing to lead to but first there were alot if other firsts to get through. But then when we did get to Valentine's Day it was real and unapologetic. The honest and trust that was written in the scene was beautiful to read. But also that way it was written was real; alot if authors either gloss over it or just say there was pain then pleasure. But this scene was written to draw out Sally's pleasure and keep her at ease through her nerves (you will understand when you read it).

Negatives; there were a fair few grammar mistakes, extra words in places, wrong character written in place of another and also words jumbled up in a sentence so it didn't read right.
Saying that these problems (or at least as many) weren't in The Billionaire's Virgin so I'm guessing this was written before that.

But this story was great, the scenes were romantic and sensual and we got plenty of backstory and background for a shorter read.

I will definitely be re-reading this book. It will definitely melt your panties off. 😉

Do Not Recommend

Normally I love Penny Wylder's books and novellas, but this one was just disappointing.

It started out good with a meet cute, funny kind of story, but quickly lost any readable aspect. The dialogue is consistently the best aspect of the book until about 77% through when it gets unrealistic and cheesy. The love interest is whiny and kind of off. For a powerful CEO, he doesn't seem very confident in himself, and he has terrible coping and communication skills. Furthermore, some of the stuff he says isn't romantic, it's just cringey.

Penny Wylder puts out a lot of books, so quick editing often leaves some grammar mistakes behind, but this one was riddled with them.

Quite honestly, I'm upset that I paid money for this book. The couple is kind of cute, but the story is insulting with how corny it is. If you're looking for a cheesy Valentine's story, this is certainly that with a healthy dose of cringe.

Hot and romantic

As usual with a Penny Wylder book, I couldn't put it down. A sweet and sexy Valentine's Story with a Cinderella feel.

Sally has no luck with Valentine's day. She's still a virgin and always single. When her boyfriends learn that she is a virgin, they run. This year is looking to be the same til a mishap has Sally meeting Bianca and agreeing to go to a Valentine's party with her brother, Eric.

Sally is a breath of fresh air to Eric and not at all what he expected from a setup by his sister. They have an instant attraction and lots of chemistry. Things heat up quickly and unlike other guys, Eric doesn't run when he learns of Sally's virginity. He's ready to be her first in every way.

Quick and steamy story with a gripping storyline, a virgin, and a sexy man ready to be her first.

V-Day fun

This book was such a fun book to read! The female lead in this book as a 25 year old virgin who just cannot find the right guy to take a bite. She's also a bit of a goofball, which I loved. I really enjoy reading funny goofy characters especially when they're written right. And poor Sally just cannot catch a break! One such unfortunate occurrence causes her to be set up on a blind date for Valentine's Day. After this point, the story explodes into such a fun read. What Sally and Eric experience together, is what I love most about romance books. The sizzle, the spice, the chemistry that's through the roof. I love how this author gives us great short reads. And you will definitely love this book!

Unexpected fireworks from a blind date

Such a quick sweet read from Penny Wylder. Sally is young woman longingly wishing for her life to be different this Valentine’s Day from all of her previous ones. Eric is a seriously busy CEO who would love to forget Valentine’s Day even existed. Thanks to an unexpected runaway cart, a meddling sister, and a surprise Valentine’s Day party, Sally and Eric are our together for a blind date. When they meet each other for the first time, there are unexpected sparks and feelings neither has ever had. Their attraction only grows quicker and deeper the more they see each other. Eric’s secret about a past Valentine’s Day almost ruins their budding romance. They find their happy ending by completing each other.

Mind blown....

This has got to be one of hottest books I have ever read and that is saying a lot!! The heat generated between these two characters jumps off the pages and warms you from within. Fresh from an accident that results in her loosing her job, our young, innocent female lead is wrapped up in a “Pretty Womanesque” experience that suspends belief. Our alpha male is bitter and jaded but intrigued from first sight. Hold onto your readers as we are treated to a front seat view of passion, pleasure, foreplay, romance, a touch of family drama and love. Highly recommend. This book really makes me wish I were in love❤️

Finding love on Valentine’s Day

Sally has never had a boyfriend or a date on Valentine’s Day. Getting ready to spend another year alone, she has no idea that her luck is about to change. After almost killing Bianca with her runaway cart, she’s shocked when Bianca asks for a favor - be her brother Eric’s date to their mom’s Valentine’s party. Sally thinks this is her chance to meet her possible Prince Charming. Unfortunately for Sally, Eric hates Valentine’s Day & doesn’t believe in love.

Another great read from Penny! Looking forward to her next book!

Happy Valentine’s Day!!

Another great read from Penny. Sally has never had a date for Valentine’s Day, and Eric’s Valentine’s will always be ruined due to his father. Maybe these two can give each other something that they never knew they could have all because of a freak accident. One Blind date changes the future for them both. Loved the instalust between Eric and Sally, they have a great connection.

Cute story

I feel completely indifferent about Valentine's day, and have never understood women who make a big deal about it. I celebrate 2/15 when all the pink and red candy is on sale. Regardless, this was a cute story. I didn't really feel the chemistry, possibly because I was rolling my eyes a lot, but this was still a cute story. If you like Valentine's day, you will probably love this story much more than I am capable of

Short and steamy

I loved the Insta love. I will definitely be reading this book again for a feel good moment if I need it.
Only issues i had were that I thought there was going to be more detail about his ex because it was brought up so much. Also it talked about her body insecurities but there wasn't an elaboration.
Those weren't enough for me to stop reading and to decide not to read again.
Super cute.

A Valentine's tale

This was a fun book to read. Mr. Marshall hates Valentine's Day, it is tied up with memories of the past that he wants to forget about. Sally, loves it, but never has a date. As these two come into each others lives in an unexpected way, can they build a future? Or are they from two different worlds with pasts that can conquer the future?

Hot hot hot!!!

Short hot read.

This is a sweet story and what better than a Valentine’s Day romance.

Sally and Eric are two people who need one another in ways they each can’t imagine.

The sexy times were amazing and worthy of a fan!

It’s worth the read!
