I received this ARC ahead of time, I have not been paid for reading it or reviewing the book. Having said that, I've been reading this author's work, in various forms, for years now and I have to say this book does not disappoint. I adore the heroine in the story, she's one of my favorites. Ms. Vance is able to create a world with words and draw you into it. You're there running with the wolves, you can feel the suffering each character goes through, and let's not forget the hot steamy sex. There is a cliffhanger at the end of this book, so if you don't want to be dragged into the series, don't pick this book up! On that note, Francesca, write faster, I want the next installment!!!

Book one was great but book two was fire!! So good. This picks up where book one ended. Kassie is running and scared. She turns to the reapers for help. Love the tie in of the two series btw. Jake and Con come and get her. Bring her home. At every turn there is another twist. Romance and action packed. The ending, omg the ending. The Elven Queen shows up and wants Kassie’s blood. The war is just beginning. We find out more about Kassies background in this story. The growth of the plot and characters is pretty amazing. I just loved this.

This book was so worth the wait! I love that story picked up where it left off and Kassi is dealing with the fallout from the end of book 1. Con and Jake are great, and I'm liking the new characters introduced in this book. The author did a great job of expanding the world in this story and I'm looking forward how things unfold in book 3.

Read other books from this author in the future: yes

Nice and entertaining read. They are still trying to find out, why the shifter were taken. But they get closer to the secret.

This book picks up exactly where the last novel, Asylum, left off. Kassi, believing that she is being blamed for Tyler’s death, runs away from her pack and heads to Las Vegas, to seek help from everyone’s favourite Reaper, Cole Mackensie.

The mystery surrounding the disappearance of young Shifters is the main theme here. Realising that she needs to be back with her pack, Jake and Conal bring her home and with the help of the Reapers, they investigate Tyler’s disappearance, not believing that he’s dead.

The relationship between Kassi and the two Alpha’s moves up a level. It’s been a slow burn up to this point, and the anticipation is delicious. Kassi begins to feel more secure in her place in the pack at last.

The book ends on another cliffhanger which actually made me squeal out loud. I absolutely love the way this series is developing, the characters are detailed, the storyline is intriguing and addictive. Once again you have to remind yourself that this is a paranormal read; Reapers and Shifters aren’t an everyday thing. But I surely wish they were.

I loved Kassi’s story in the first book, and this book was even better. The plot and character development were on point. I really loved the growth of the characters of Ty and Talia. And the secondary characters were amazing as well. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how things develop.
Of course, I loved the appearance of the reapers. It’s fun to see everything tie together so beautifully.
That ending, though. Definite cliffhanger, and I’m waiting with bated breath to see what happens next.

This was intense! Fast paced, exciting, with a serious cliffhanger. But that's how we like it, right? The book picked up just where the previous one ended, resulting a bit too much of self pity for me, but it fit perfectly into the big picture. Other than that I really liked the story, our favorite Reapers made an appearance (actually more than one), which I loved. Also we meet with new characters, who have lots of potential, and seems like anchors to future series from Francesca, yeeey! Kassi grows in character, also Tallie and Ty, no wonder they are more and more likeable. In the end another really remarkable (and well known) character shows up to bring things to the next level. I wish HEA to our lovely characters, but... I am more than willing to wait if we receive more of Francesca's brilliant stories!
