I admit that I got kindle unlimited just to read more of Cassie Cole’s RH romances!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙🖤💜❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍
Character development: 😟🤭😤😘

The heroine: Juliana - she works for CSCG (Cyber Security Consulting Group) and is a speaker at a hacking convention. Juliana grew up always interested in computers and started hacking in her teens. When she got her parents into some trouble, they sent her off to military school, after which she joined the Army. She didn’t last in the army and has been working as CSCG for four years. She was dishonorably discharged from the Army for hacking into confidential servers after her father (an army colonel) died. She wanted information on his death and his killer.

The Heroes: They are a small mercenary special ops company that accepts government contracts that are too politically hot or too dangerous for the military.
Donovan - a former marine who joined up after 911. He is big, muscular and blond with movie star good looks and a dominant personality.
Gregor - he is a former Army demolitions expert who is addicted to nicotine. He has dark hair and tattoos and is a bit grumpy.
Michael - he is former Israeli special ops. He is tall with dark hair and doesn’t trust easily.

The Story: Juliana doesn’t usually do hookups or one-night stands, but after Donovan chatted her up at the convention, she found she really wanted to spend the night with him. However, she soon finds out that Donovan wants her for more than just a hookup when she meets his two friends in his hotel room filled with computers and equipment. She finds out they want to hire her for a job. She agrees when she finds out their target is the Colombian drug lord who murdered her father.

Like I said in the title of my review. I decided on the spur of the moment today to purchase Kindle Unlimited, which I haven’t had for years in order to read more of Cassie Cole’s books. I have already read quite a few but there are about 15 more that I haven’t yet read, and I really have been liking her stories. She does a ton of research on the topics she writes about and is so knowledgeable and detailed about everything (in this case computers, hacking, and military), that the books have just grabbed and held my attention. Not to mention they are all stand-alone, and the reverse harem aspect is sizzling hot.

This book is no different, the characters are great, the world building is beyond terrific, and the story is suspenseful, and intriguing. I liked Juliana from the start and though the guys didn’t start out that well in how they acted, I got to really like them as the book went on.

“It’s not as easy as you might think,” he said softly. “When you’re in combat, it’s different. You’re shooting at a speck of clothing in the distance. Someone who’s trying to kill you as hard as you’re trying to kill them. But if we get to JGB and I hold him down, then hand you a pistol to point at his forehead? That’s not just a speck in the distance anymore. That shit’s real. More personal. You have to look into the eyes you’re about to extinguish forever. Is your blood cold enough to pull the trigger?”
“You think I can’t do it because I’m a woman?”
“Shit no,” he said. “It’s tough for anyone, kiddo. Man or woman, rookie or veteran. Even when it’s the right thing to do. Even when the guy deserves it.”

Juliana Ellersby is a skilled, self-taught hacker and computer specialist , her expertise lying in all things tech, working for a Cyber Security company she happens to be a connoisseur in what she does. Giving a presentation one day, she meets a vast expanse of man – Donovan – his looks alone set him apart from the kind of hackers and security examiners she is used to. This man who enters her life is a great conversationalist, handsome and actually takes an interest in Juliana’s life and history which is unusual for her, and they both hit it off on their fist meeting. After a night of absolute passion with this newcomer, Juliana soon finds out that he approached her for other hidden intentions, not just to claim her pleasure.

“And that’s a great metaphor for cyber security in general. Half of what the world sees is inaccurate, and none of what the world hears is correct.”

After boldly and uncharacteristically initiating such intimacy with Donovan, her diffidence is brought forth when Juliana realises that she was led to his hotel room because she has the specialist skillset required to conduct a specific mission – a brief past in the military coupled with her proficient repertoire in the world of computer security…and breaching. Donovan belongs to an autonomous mercenary group, composed of he and his two best friends; Michael (an Israeli with a background in special/intelligence operations) and Gregor (ex-army who thrives in all things demolitionist and bomb disposal). They want Juliana to pass a test to deem her qualities suitable for this mission. Outraged, angry and hurt, Juliana fails this test, only to show these ex-servicemen what she is really made of.

‘It had been a while since I’d felt the rush that came from digital mischief. It was intoxicating. Addicting. More satisfying than even the most delirious meal after a prolonged fast.’

Juliana can’t refuse this unprecedented turn of events because a long dwelling grief finally has the chance to be put down, and put out. The target of this mission is a notorious Columbian drug lord – also the very man who took the most important one from her own life, burying Jules in years-long pain, and her retribution wants to play because it’s been collecting for four long years. A surreal opportunity pushed into her lap challenging her simple life, and a promising proposition to team up with three hunky ex-servicemen is an opportunity she can’t refuse because the outcome could mean an ending to her unanswered grief. Thrusting Jules into a dangerous division of a hacker’s revelry and a hacker’s fuel, this mission is more than just a hefty pay-out: it’s personal.

“The point, kiddo, is that sometimes shit things happen in life, and sometimes nobody is to blame. It’s just the randomness of the universe, like cancer hitting a marathon runner but not a smoker. You think you need to kill JGB to feel better. I can’t blame you. But kiddo, sometimes you don’t really know what you need until you get it. Like my hospital apology. Don’t pour all your hopes into JGB. When it’s over, all you’re gonna be left with is an empty hole you don’t know how to fill.”

In a matter of hours, Juliana goes from a verified Cyber Security analyst to rogue hacker on an emotionally encouraged mission. Emotions are brought out of her, but pleasurable ones too, because though Donovan is an obvious source of attraction, her sights extend much farther than him…to the two other members in his tightly-bound unit. Flying all over the world with her new partners in crime meeting the wealthy, dirty and corrupt in this business, Juliana finds, explores and touches on the uniquely diverse natures of these three diverse men in her life - all bound in a brotherhood - bringing her closer to them and wanting much more from them other than simple companionship.

‘And I was hopelessly, incredibly terrified. Because now I had something to lose.’

‘Triple Team’ by Cassie Cole is a light-hearted and heavy-hearted military reverse harem romance between three caring men who all fall for a woman like no other. This story is more than just a romance because it refers to notable and historic events which tie into real life, paying homage and saluting them, and to the army men who suffer post-service from PTSD. With politics and state of affairs, this story had added levels of believability because of they way it is told and the dialogue we receive.

“Every morning when I wake up, there is a brief window of forgetfulness – a tiny momentary instant in which I do not remember. Then it comes back, and the pain is fresh every time.”

This book is fairly heavy on the tech side at times, and not being a tech savvy individual myself I often found myself attempting to follow the intricate tech talk as a novice with some struggle. I can’t place merit on the correctness of the technical terms/hacking rubrics in question, but it undeniably rings true and reads true , hence I was confident in the element of this story’s sense of believability and pragmatism, and the confident way in which Juliana talks about her profession. I didn’t feel that the complexity of the hacking system was difficult to grapple with, with just enough information to follow, but not too much for us to drown in dense jargon and ultimately cripple the plot with it.

“Fortune favours the prepared.”

As Juliana works with these capable, adroit men, she collects their own backstories of loss and grief, of camaraderie and solidarity, different men with different experiences, but feeing the same one thing for all of them. Connections form, bonds are formed with shared experiences that bring them together, and Juliana builds something new with each of her friends and protectors.

‘When Donovan brought me up to his hotel room that night in Boston, all I saw were three military bros full of bravado and demands. It was easier to empathise with them knowing they’d experienced their own pain.’

Gregor is a swaggering, cigar-smoker who is nothing but a loyalist to his two best friends and teammates. Always looking for an excuse to blow anything to smithereens, he is flippant but devoted.

‘I loved mercenary work. It was like cutting out all the shitty parts of being in the Army and leaving just the excitement.’

Michael is a timely, mysterious man, focussed and stern with a past of sorrow and loss.

“You’re like an Israeli James Bond.”
A rare smile touched his lips. “Manischewitz and soda. Shaken, not stirred.”

Donovan is a joker, eternally optimistic and caring, but equally commanding and charging.

“It’s amusing seeing a big buff soldier dancing like nobody’s watching.”
“I was born with no shame.”

The four main characters are involved in a polyamorous relationship, their sexual exploits feeling like something of a tryst for the simple fact that such distinctive relationships are taboo topics of the ‘not-discussed’ and misunderstood. The reading and examinations of this relationship however, felt nothing but incredibly ordinary, authentic, and meaningful as that which formed singularly between each pairing seemed to unravel organically, and they accepted what was happening as something unforced and free, and nothing at all shameful. Each male’s relationship with the lead female felt foreseeable like they all had a place in her life as well as in this story.

This story supports the exploration of sexual freedom and the shame that can often accompany hiding inner desires. It creates discourse around lifestyle choices that are not obligatory and also misjudged, but rather accepts them with an openness that’s both freeing and unburdening for the characters, especially the perceptions of a woman being in such a relationship and the titles she might have thrown at her for choosing it.

There is representation including the relationship between mental health and the army, PTSD and its effects – trauma is often long-term for soldiers especially after assimilating back into civilian life, and the healing they need post trauma is regarded and mentioned. Murder is addressed in this story throughout, questioning whether a justified killing is really ever a ‘justified killing’ - the unsavoury ways which grief can sometimes unknowingly be dealt with in the form of Juliana, the knowledge that her teammates know it never recedes, much less ends with revenge.

“You are not the only one, Juliana, who has lost someone dear to them.”

Branching out is always exciting territory with books, I’ve never read anything military or reverse harem, but after reading this surprisingly vigorous taboo tale of dynamic romance and action adventure – the likes of which reminded me of the ‘Fast and Furious Saga’ and the ‘Die Hard’ film series, I feel more than confident picking up another novel by Cassie Cole.

“You can justify it however you want, but you’re a murderer.”
“We are all murderers.” He smiled viciously.’

Energetically suspenseful, ‘Triple Team ’ is a romantic drama encircled by a fast-moving and healthy paced plot of running, tracking targets, explosions, espionage and digital intrusion, from travelling all over the world, first class service to the muddy pitches of the Amazon jungle as we get closer to this mission’s conclusion, and the truth finally comes out. Lively and convincing storytelling, we follow these four through near misses, highs of success, spells of hunger-filled desire and the anticipation of waiting for what is to come next. After being ‘dishonourably discharged’ from her time in service from an act driven by grief, we learn what revenge means for Juliana, and what it really means when she realises that revenge is just another side of grief’s coin.

“Michael got his chance at revenge,” I said. “I want mine.”
“Oh, you’ll get it,” he said. “Just don’t expect it to make everything better.”

After going into this book with major thought but minimal conviction, I did not think this book would parallel four stars…but here I am , and my star rating is indeed a four star! Solid plot, brilliant pace, well-ordered events, enjoyable romances, teasing and sexual tension, ‘Triple Team’ raised levels of suspicion and expectancy as the story loosened, the four main characters inviting enough that I wished this weren’t solely a standalone, and found myself rooting for each one of them, and all of them at the same time. A thrilling book, a thrilling read, and a thrilling ride!

“It is not something a person can explain,” Michael said. “It is something you must learn for yourself. But it is a difficult reality to accept. That hole you feel in the pit of your stomach? The place where you have reserved all of your hate, your anger, your desire for revenge? Now it is empty. There is nothing to do. And the pain still remains. It will continue to remain as well. No matter how many people you kill, you cannot make the pain go away. Only time can diminish it.”

The heroine pissed me off. She was so dead set on getting revenge that she snuck off from her team during the mission, but she couldn’t go through with killing the guy and ended up getting captured... she’s lucky the team went back for her, I would’ve left her dumbass to die. She ends up killing the guy when the team saves her though, if only she did that in the first place. Then she had the nerve to be mad at the guys for keeping a “secret” from her, which wasn’t that bad to be honest. Honestly, the heroine being a stupid, selfish, bitch is the reason for the rating.

I’m wondering how this got such high reviews. Was I not reading the same book? First off the acronyms. I have a military, law enforcement and government background and couldn’t keep up with them. If you’re going to use acronyms give us the full term once. Secondly the foreign languages, using them are awesome but remember to translate for people who do t speak more than one language. Thirdly the sex talk was terrible. In my experience people don’t use clinical terms during sex and nude is not sexy. The premise was awesome and had so much potential but the execution was completely lacking.

This was SO GOOD. Probably one of the best reverse harem books I have read. It was action packed, adventurous, and the plot was amazing. The main character is a hacker and she joins a team of military mercenaries for a job. I've been bingeing NCIS so that really put me in the mood for military romance. I read this in one day. I can't wait to read more of Cassie Cole. A thing that did bother me is that one of the guys called her kiddo, I hate when guys to this especially out of the daddy/baby girl trope.

From the words of Illuminae, you may only get one shot so shoot, and this girl missed her shot. Eye roll considering she was so sure she could kill that guy.

I really enjoyed this book. Juliana is a super smart and genius on a computer. She is at business convention meets up with Donovan and decides to let loose. They have a great time until they get interrupted by idiot 1 (Gregor) and idiot 2(Michael). I really enjoyed how she got back at them, after they were jerks to her, it was awesome.
The rest of the story got very entertaining and enlightening until the last page.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

This is my second Cole book and I have to say I am quickly becoming a fan. This time we get the world of cyber security as we meet Juliana and expert in this field who is recruited by three yummy ex-military men for a mission that have been hired for. Things almost don't work out for the job as they play games back and forth with one another but once they work things out it starts moving really quick. I was really enjoying all of the amazing details that Cole worked into this story and if even half of them are true I now know something new. Add in the really hot RH romance and you get a book that I really had a hard time putting down. Great for fans of military RH. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

If you like a book with drama, shoot up action, drama, and suspense, with a little loving on the side then this is defiantly the book that you are looking for. Yes, there are scenes with one, two, three, or all four members of the group. But the base of the story is more important. There is also dealing with loss, and revenge. Most importantly is what the story is also aiming at and that is the effects of PTSD on our military men and women. How some times it doesn’t have to do with a physical injury but also the emotional toll that it takes not only on that person but their families. Sometimes to get people to notice some of the important things in this world we have to lace it with things that will get people to look. The way that this author did this in this story was very well written. The main character Juliana was not the only one to have gone through the same as she did and wanted her revenge. Read the book, look in between the lines, hear or in other words see what is really being said here. This is a fantastic book one that must, I repeat must be read.

Juliana is now a consultant for a computer security company. She is talking to a group at a convention and giving a demonstration on how easily it is to hack into someone phone and computer system without the help of their company to protect them. In the audience is Donovan. He is there for a singular purpose to try and get Juliana to join their team as a contractor. But things get a little messed up in this proposal.
When Juliana was a young girl and her parents got their first computer she took it apart but then she couldn’t get it put back together. Her parents had to hire a repairman to come and fix it. She had watched him very carefully later that night while everyone was asleep she took it apart again and put it back together this time. Later she learned how to write code teaching herself. Then she put a virus on her mom’s home laptop computer. Unknown to Juliana her mom to her laptop to work, the virus spread from computer to computer until every computer in the company was infected. Unfortunately they were able to track it back to her. Juliana found herself being shipped off to military school, after that she to be unlisted in the army.

Juliana’s father was in the military himself and went up the ranks to Major. He was a paper pusher and never did see active service. The senator in their state won on the campaign of trying to stop the drug trafficking of drugs into the country. He enlisted the help of her father a man from the Navy and one from the Marines. They all went to Columbia to speak to the government officials there and nothing more. As the men were walking across the tarmac the to plane to take them home the cartel sent armed men in and shot all of the men down in cold blood. First it was an international incident then slowly became an unfortunate incident. Giving Juliana no answers that she was seeking, no justice in the death of her father. What she did next will in service of the Army got her a dishonorable discharge.

Donovan, Micheal, and Gregory, a Navy Seal, ex-Israeli Military, and an Army a explosive specialist. In other words he is really great at blowing up things and loves it. They need a hacker a really good one. They made one mistake when the first met Juliana one she felt like they had humiliated her, and two they did not know how good she really was until it was almost too late. Not on just one occasion but twice. The second time when these men broke her trust was the worst. To find out what that was you will have to read the story.

Me blottir contre sa peau.

Me blottir contre sa peau.

I have no qualms reading a reverse harem book. I've read a few, and I find them intriguing because I am not sure how that works in the real world. Usually, however, I'm disappointed because the story is lacking, the characters are underdeveloped, and the focus of the story is the "sheet" activity of the characters. I was tasked with reading and reviewing an ARC of Cassie Cole's Triple Team. I read some early reviews of the book, and I was interested because it seemed as though this book would take on a different focus than most reverse haram books. And I was fairly correct.

Cassie Cole's book is really more romantic suspense than menage. Yes, menage plays a part in the book, but it is secondary to the story of catching a criminal. I'd go so far as to say that the book is more suspense than anything. The story follows Juliana, a systems security expert/former hacker. The book begins with her presenting about digital security for her employer at a convention. One of the attendees of her presentation becomes intrigued with her, and this leads to a one-night stand. However, nothing is as it seems. Before long, Juliana is pulled into Donovan, Gregor, and Michael's security firm for a job suited to her particular skills. Over the course of her job, Juliana and the guys become attracted to each other and engage in "extracurricular activities" together. Unfortunately, these men are hiding something from Juliana, and it is enough to derail their burgeoning relationship. Will Juliana be able to trust them again?

What I liked about this particular reverse harem/menage book was its insistence on telling a story. As I said at the beginning of the post, this is something that oftentimes gets lost in this genre. However, this isn't the case with this book. You will read an engaging story with some sexiness mixed in. I picked up the book early in the early morning and finished it in the afternoon.

What I would have liked more in this story is character development. I struggled with their interest in each other, and I didn't necessarily understand their "love" for each other. It seemed a bit manufactured. That being said, though, it wasn't completely unbelievable. I simply thought there could have been more development of their feelings for each other.

This was my first Cassie Cole book, and I found her book to be engaging. I would recommend it for others to read. It does have some sizzle and a story that keeps you reading.

"You know what my biggest nightmare was? Living a life so boring that PowerPoint presentations at hacker conventions was the most exciting thing I did in any given year."

This book has been in my Kindle forever and I finally got around to reading it after putting off some ARCs. lol. Some of Cassie Coles books are pure amazingness and after reading the blurb, I was hoping this would be another to add to the list. ...It definitely checked off all of the boxes and I was excited to dive in.

Immediately, we meet Juliana. She is a hacker at heart but worked for a Cyber Security Consulting group to help with cyber security education. After delivering an impressive presentation, she quickly caught the attention of Donovan.

Long story short and a very sexy while later, she is now working a covert job for a mercenary company to help bring a Columbian drug lord down and someone who had a large part in the killing of her father.

Donovan, Michael and Gregor are every girl's military fantasy and then some. Each with their own unique skills, they are part of this group that has Juliana second guessing everything. Now using her skills, around the world, she is able to hack into this, gain access into that, all to get coordinates for a possible location to bring down said drug lord.

The author does a great job of explaining things in such detail, I almost feel like I could hack into someone's Wi-Fi after reading this. lol. I enjoyed it so much. The different jobs in different parts of the world and the different skills she needed to get everything done was captivating and I didn't want to stop turning the pages. It felt like a good ol-Mission Impossible read.

The ending seemed to come up way to fast and I enjoyed how everything unfolded. I did wish we were given the translation on some of the text, but honestly, it also kept it a bit of a mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and love when this author writes stories such as this, like this too was a part of her life at one time. Those are the greatest reads.

*Overall 5/5
*Heat? 4/5
*Fast/Med Burn
*MFMM
*Multiple first person POV
*Ends on HEA

If you are expecting a lot of sexy time from this book, you will be disappointed. The bulk of the book covers in exhaustive detail Julian's cyber hacking escapades, interspersed with action sequences. Time that would have been spent developing a single romance in a traditional romantic suspense is split between three male leads, each of whom manages to share a sliver of their background before attempting to get it on with her. On the plus, the cyber stuff is mostly accurate, on the downside, there was way to much of it.

Despite a lot of action and the three romantic interests, I found myself oddly bored by this book. Part of the problem is that the author overwrites everything. We get several chapters about hacking before we even properly meet the first love interest. Another problem was that I just didn't care about any of the characters. Juliana is pretty kick-ass but the not one of the guys did it for me. With three guys there isn't time to develop a relationship so they all got shorthanded. Strip out all the harem stuff and you have a run-of-the-mill romantic suspense book with pacing issues and lackluster romance. However for a small press, niche book, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it read.

For a harem book, there is surprisingly very little sex, which was just as well because I didn't find much of it appealing. The author's style is to pretend pregnancy and disease don't exist so no one ever thinks about protection. Also anal sex doesn't require lubrication. The sex is unimaginative and mechanical which is sad considering that at times there are four people in the room. All of the scenes play out around Juliana's desire to feel used. Romance is never allowed to intrude.

Sure this is fantasy, but I just could not see these three straight guys happy to share one woman in a committed relationship. Worse, I don't care if it actually works out for them.

The word "kiddo" was used 44 times by Gregor. That is 43 times more than should ever appear in any book.

Juliana Ellersby introduced herself from the podium at her first presentation at Defcon East, the second largest hacking convention in the world. Her presentation went well and generated many questions, the last one from a handsome, muscular man who didn’t fit the description of a typical white or black hat hacker. He asked specifically about her and her computer interests before she became a professional. As he started to push for information, the convention coordinator announced the next presentation was in another room and thanked Ms. Ellersby again. As she walked away, the muscular man was watching her with a knowing smile.

This was an amazing book, establishing the mystery man right in the beginning who will bring Juliana into a dangerous mission. Donovan, described as the jacked Marine who knows how to take charge, offered her a spot on his mercenary team. Their assignment is to assassinate a Colombian drug lord and will allow Juliana to avenge her father’s death. The other two men on the team are Gregor, the cocky Army boy who specializes in explosive ordnance, and Michael, a dark and secretive Israeli Special Operative. The men will provide her protection, and there is no charge for the fringe benefits on the side.

The reader will be kept on the edge of suspense as the fast-paced story line moves relentlessly forward. The characters are wonderful in every way! They form a very cohesive unit, working well together; yet each is different and the author fleshes them out very well. Juliana is a strong, sassy, forceful woman that the reader can immediately admire. Her hacker expertise was also done well, making the environment feel real (even though my family computer experts grumbled in the background). Bottom line, I really enjoyed this one. Grab a copy and see what you think! The action never slows down, good suspense, good chemistry, and humor keep it enjoyable.

Loved it, great romantic drama
Juliana is an army brat, a former solider with a less than honorable discharge, and a cyber security specialist. She has made a life for herself working for a small cyber security firm. She is recruited by a small mercenary team, their target, the Columbia drug lord who ordered her fathers death.
Donovan, a former marine, as charming and fun as he is hot, a blond ripped Adonis.
Michael, is former Israeli army, special op, inelegance. Tall and lean, dark and handsome, with a serious, quiet nature.
Gregor, former army, handsome, cavalier, explosive expert.
Donovan meets Juliana at a hackers convention. He is as attracted to her mind and body as he is her skill set. He thinks Juliana is perfect for their team, Michael and Gregor aren't convinced. Juliana, gives them an epic demonstration of her skills, she is perfect.
The first stage of the mission, she jets off to Switzerland with Michael to gather intel, and finds herself falling for him. She already has something with Donovan. Michael understands.
Back in Virginia, Gregor takes her for some training and drinks, before they head to Colombia. Before they leave, she Donny and Michael explore their attraction.
She is off to Colombia with Gregor, following the leads from Switzerland. Along the way they explore their attractions. Juliana learns about her and
Donny's past shared girlfriend, who didn't like Michael. All three are a package deal. Not necessarily sharing the same women, but that the team came first.
Juliana can see her self as part of this team, she has feeling for all three men. When they are all together again to plan their attack, they explore what they could be together, not just as a team, but as lovers and a family. Juliana doesn't know the whole truth of the mission. When she does, she is devastated.
A fast paces and steamy romantic drama, reverse harem, with no MM. A great epilogue, and a bonus epilogue option at the end.

Cassie Cole, ‘Triple Team’; a military reverse harem.

As a Hidden Gem ARC reader I received this book for free. And promised an honest review. Here it is.

English isn’t my first language. Sorry for errors.

Rating: 4 stars (of 5).

In general: Hot love between hacker and mercenaries in suspenseful mission.

Main characters:
- Juliana Ellersby.
Hacker since her youth. Ex Army (cyber security specialist). Then - for
four years - a talented Network Security Analist with CSCG a consulting
company which helps other firms to create secure cyber systems.

- Donovan MacMahon (ex Marine), Gregor (ex Army, explosive ordnance) and Michael (ex Israeli special ops).
The three men form a private mercenary company, which accepts
government contracts for missions which are too risky for government
people.

When Juliana gives for the first time a presentation about her CSCG-work during an important hacker convention she meets Donovan. They have a one-night stand. And he offers her a job on his team for one mission. She’ll be paid a lot of money.
Juliana (Jules) refuses at first, for she doesn’t want to leave the CSCG job (she likes) for a dangerous mercenary mission. But then she learns that the mission is against the Colombian drugs lord who - years ago - killed her father. So Jules accepts Donovan’s offer.
It’s the start of a suspenseful story with a lot of action in different foreign countries, many hot sex scenes, interesting digital info and unsuspected developments. The book is a page turner. I had only a few doubts about the plot. Jules is described as a cool and intelligent woman. But she has sex with Donovan during their first date. And she acts very indecisive when she - at last - meets the Colombian drugs lord. For me these actions weren’t quite in accordance with her character.
But all in all the book was a pleasure to read.

2.5 stars

It was pretty bad in places, but the overall storyline was decent. The female lead character was fantastic at first and then became too stupid to live throughout. She takes none of their advice. She shows the worst times to distract the guys and couldn't pick up on a social cue it slapped her in the face. The only semi organic hook up that made sense was the very first one at the convention. She describes more than one mans junk as a roll of cookie dough and one a Pringles can while !an hood and prick are sprinkled in for good measure. Its ridiculous. She's never had anal, yet second sex scene cookie dough roll guy (Donny) goes for it, no warm-up, no lube. She and Michael almost hookup after he yells at her for touching the wedding ring of his dead wife he's hung up on and spilling the awful story of her death. He is hung up on her so our heroine thinks this is a great time to initiate a hand job randomly with no sign of a go from Michael? Gregory calls her kiddo the entire book. That is creepy. They are supposed to be experts, yet make so many dumb mistakes. All of them. There is zero buildup to the instalove. One page they don't know each other, them they are at odds, then sex put of the blue, then in love. Literally within pages. The sex scenes aren't sexy. The positioning doesn't make sense, the descriptors The positioning doesn't make sense, and the descriptors are corny. I like each guy well enough and I like the premise of the storyline. It was executed ok. I gave 2 1⁄2 stars because there is no way I can put a story together. I have seen better efforts from this author though. Much better efforts. So far I'm 1 for 3 though.

Triple Team

Cassie Cole

Triple Team is an erotic, reverse harem read but unlike some I have read this one contains a very interesting storyline. Juliana is an army brat. military school trained, former army soldier and now a cyber security expert. Things seem to be going well until into her life walks three mercenaries and offer her the one thing she wants ... revenge for the death of her father.

Donovan, a charming former Marine; Michael, former Israeli army; and Gregor also former Army with a expert hand at explosives. They need Juliana's expertise and after a bit of back and forth they begin to work together. As you might guess with reverse harem in the title all three become involved. Donovan first, in what Juliana expected to be a one-night stand, then as they work together they all realize there are feelings growing and begin to act on them. There is a lot of steamy romance going on here but there is no MM involved. Despite the slam bang that is often a part of erotic reads, this one had a good assortment of surprises and twists.

But the guys were not exactly honest with her and there is the emotional twist that almost breaks Juliana's heart. I cannot say much about this without causing spoiler alerts to go off, but I did admire what they guys did their mercenary work for. I also loved the way Juliana got back at the guys for not being completely truthful with her. Never knew a hacker could hack that particular item. The things you learn from reading.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "TRIPLE TEAM: Juliana Ellersby is a Cyber Security Specialist working for CSCG she's at the podium of her first presentation her boss in the front row and very pleased with how it went. Juliana meets Donavon at the presentation they have drinks and then go to his hotel after where he offers her a job. Juliana was in the Army but got a non honorable discharge for getting caught hacking a computer and Donavon was also in the Army but was now a mercenary he wants her to join the team for a mission. Donavon has two other mercenaries on the team Gregory is a former explosive expert, Michael is former Israeli Special Ops and if Juliana joins them there target is a Columbian drug lord the same one who ordered her father death. This was an exciting, entertaining, intriguing, suspense filled drama with a little hot steamy me'nage thrown into the mix can they be a team, and lovers, a family you must get this read to find our so well worth your time the storyline held you hostage and the characters were terrific a definite must have book. I highly recommend you won't be disappointed I can't wait for the next book Cassie Cole did an awsome job writing this exciting read.

This was a great read for me. I love the reverse harem genre but you add in military men and a military girl well you just gotta read it. This story is about Juliana a Network Analyst Specialist who is doing a seminar and representing her company CSCG or Cyber Security Consulting Group. This is where she meets Donovan who she believes is just going to be a one-night stand. Why not, not like she has plans to return to Boston and he is a handsome devil. Little does she know Donovan is at the convention to find a hacker to assist his team (himself, Gregor and Michael) in their mission as they are basically mercenaries for hire and ex military men. As the story unfolds and they get to know one another, things become much more intimate with the group. As much as this mission brings them together, it is dangerous and its consequences could be deadly. This book is well written with a great story line with some well layered, complex characters that just add the story as you read along. Great read!

Juliana just finishes giving a presentation on the dangers of hackers and how to protect yourself at a conference for work. At the Q&A part a guy asks some personal questions about how she got involved in the field she works in. When she goes to a party afterwards with her boss the same guy comes up to her again. Things heat up between them and she goes to his room with him. Only to learn its a set up. He and his partners want her to work a mission with them because of her expertise. Mad at what they did she leaves however once she's back at her room she hacks their computers to show them who they're dealing with. They learn of one thing that will ensure she helps them and uses it to get her involved. As they are working things heat up between all four of them and they end up having sex. Can they complete their mission without their relationship complicating it?

This is a steamy hot story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is scorching hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Sofia, Franco, Antonio, and Marcho. In this book we find that Sofia is a woman who knows what she wants. The problem she has run into she is a top notch woman sent in to take men down. The next set of men that she is sent after though might take her down before she gets a chance. What happens when the lines between revenge and being someones pawn get blurred? Franco, Antonio, Marcho all took over a part of the family business. They all have plans that have nothing to do with where they are in the company. They all also have no plans on settling down. When one little woman comes into their mist they wonder is she the one that will change everything for them? Can they all find their HEA or will outside forces make sure that never happens?

This is an amazing story full of twist and turns. There is so much I want to tell you about this book. However I don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

There are a great many action books I like but this one has to be my all time favourite. It was so well researched and the development of the characters was just brilliant. Even though it's a reverse harem book I found that feature to be second place to all the Action and features this book had to offer. I've read a couple of other of Cassie Cole's books but was really surprised it was one of hers it was so well done. Not knocking her work seriously I'm giving great props and respect. I loved this book! It's a little longer than most but i was never ever bored, and just the detail of everything really impressed me. So fun too! The sass and funny times from the 4 characters, the three guys Donovan, Michael and Gregor- All very different from the other- all totally loveable and macho. They all love Juliana an IT wiz who they recruit for their team there is no end of action, a little drama, sexy times and just all round entertainment. Can't highly recommend this book enough! Well done Cassie!!!
This was an ARC copy as this is my honest review.

Steamy, chemistry fueled and action-packed

Triple Team by Cassie Cole is a really good romantic suspense read with the added bonus of a reverse harem. I really liked the characters, each of them unique and developed with emotional depth.
The plot was really interesting, lots of suspense and dangerous situations that kept me on the edge of my seat. I found myself annoyed whenever I had to put this one down.
Cassie Cole is a new author to me and I enjoy this genre and her writing style. Lots of detail to showcase her characters, plot and settings.
Overall, a well written book with plenty of romantic suspense and reverse harem elements to make this a worth-while read that was entirely enjoyable. I’m a die hard happy ending reader too, so the epilogue was very satisfying as well for these character’s HEA.
I read and ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.

Our heroine was dishonorably discharged for doing some personal hacking. Now she has a chance to put the information to use in the company of three hot men.

I admit that I have become a little blase on the reverse harem genre as menage is not really my thing, but this story reminded me of why I keep giving them a chance. Here we get a nice combination of action and sex all rolled into one story. The story line is good, well developed and paced so that it doesn't seem rushed, nor is it just an add on to give us an excuse for more steamy scenes. The characters were also well developed, each with their own personality. And last, but by no means least, our heroine was tough and smart, making a solid contribution to the team's mission.

Overall, I found this to be a very enjoyable read, perfect for a long weekend.

Highly recommended.
