Foresee is a well written short story by Tricia Barr. It is kind of funny since I read it blindly but I soon realized it was tied into the Bound Ones series which I really liked. This story fit in well with the series, however I thought it had a really sad and darker undertone to it. The author came up with an interesting plot that provides some background information to one of the other main characters of the series which I found was interesting. The plot was well developed and I found she managed to fit a good amount of story into this shorter story.

Our main character Vae is very likable and I felt for the situation she found herself in. It wasn't the easiest one and it was interesting to see the decisions she made and the impact they would have on her loved ones. I found she was a strong character with integrity which is why I did like her as much as I did. Too bad the story had to end the way it did.

This story definitely added to the series and I am happy the author added it to provide the readers with some background information that otherwise would have never been revealed.

I did get pulled in a bit and I am curious to see exactly how Vae and Sam deal with the situation they have been dealt. Poor Vae.

HAVING NO IDEA ABOUT THE MAIN STORY THE BOUND ONES MY PREDICTIONS BASED ON THIS AND SIMILAR STORIES I HAVE READ
-somehow how Vae either dies/comes back OR somehow saved
-he will rise but I kinda feel like it`s gonna be a disaster no matter the circumstances
-he will come close to destroying the world or at least the witches trying to fight them
-we will meet the brunette Vae saw Sam with and some shit will go down- maybe one of the Bound Ones? maybe one of his?- that would be something
-Vae`s parents will somehow learn the truth; they will die; maybe both

Obvi she was going to choose Sam... it only took her a week, less, to realize she loved him

A fairly unchallenging fluffy-but-grim in tone YA paranormal read, though credit where it's due - it's well-written fluff. This prequel to The Bound Ones series doesn't require any knowledge of the other books, although it includes a backstory that I'm sure fans of the series would like to know.

The world building can feel a bit uneven and the characters beyond Vae are somewhat shallow, but it's a short story with less than 100 pages to give her a reasonable character arc. It succeeds in doing this while linking with the main series, which is no mean feat.

While I don't think this sort of breezy YA style is my cup of tea, I'd say give it a go if you like a trip into the teenage'd paranormal.

This is a short sentimental prequel to the Bound Ones series. I couldn't find a copy online so I contacted the author and she sent me a Book funnel link to it. Even with how short this is I really felt like I got to know Vae and Sam. It does have some foreshadowing of events to come in the series and makes me more intrigued. The ending is sad and beautiful.

This is a short novella prequel to the bound series but was enough to make me want to now read this series! A magical ya read with darker undertones I look forward to reading more!

Another prequel in a box set with nothing to indicate its not a full story and ends with a cliffhanger. Another author to not read again.

I loved Foresee, it was a great story. I fault for Vae and what she has to go through, and to die at the from a tumor to save her child friend.
