Quan Millz is one of the best author ever. His books bring life to everything that is happening in the real world. This book right here will bring out all the emotions in you. From crying to laughing, to be angry. He makes a person who don't read, ready to read.
You never know what to expect from him, but you can expect a story that will have you on the edge. I'm a fan of his books. Thank you Quan Millz for you're talent and keep them coming!

This was a slow, tedious read that ended like the author finally gave up, quickly wrapped everything up with a bow and closed the computer.

That said, it was a good story, despite the rambling and unnecessary storylines. It was nice to see the main characters come around full circle despite the drama being laid on real thick. Also some better editing would tighten up the story and eliminate misspellings, but keep the voice of the author.

Not a bad read. Definitely pulls at the heart strings.

Not what I expected

I thought the book was due to be about your mama on crack rock. The book starts out that way them the next chapter goes into a while other character with a family. The mother had issues but she was not on crack. From time to time in the story they would mention the crack head but that's it. Sandra situation was sad but she was weak in my opinion. I've been through what she's been through and she did not handle her situation correctly. Instead of self medicating grief counseling was the answer. Her friend Katrina was dirty. Not sure if I'll read part 2.

Perplexed

The story starts off with Peanut and gradually, it turns into a story about Sandra. Me personally, after so many chapters had to scroll bck to chapter one to make sure I was still reading the same book.

Not only that, why is the book reading in first person, third person, and from someone else's perspective. So yes, I'm a tad bit confused.

I've read your book before and they kinda just flowed but this one, it made no sense to me at all. It's seemingly all over the place.

Ge golly wow

This book hit home a little, but I really loved it. I could see why Sandra resorted to her ways. We're lucky she didn't kill herself. I can't wait for part 2 because my heart hurts for what's going on with Khayri. And who gave Ashley HIV if it wasn't Charles. I need answers. I need Sandra to get some too. She had two good options I think, Omar and Adrian definitely. I hope everything turns itself around because Reshard is smart and can be something in life.

Great read

I really enjoyed this book. You could relate to this book because it really talks about the things that happen everyday. It made u really think about what's really going on and what be happening to the kids that they take away from their parents. Can't wait for part two. I hope her son get it together before it's too late and I think there's something fishy about the man she got the money from.

Oh please

Once just once can a miracle happen and this story become a rags to riches story? I want God to have mercy on these people and lift them out of these horrible bondages. Once just once I want to read a hood book where stuff turns around because sometimes in life God has compassion and mercy and it does. I await part two.

Unhappy and Unforgiving

1st and foremost it seems like Sandra is never going to get any happiness, Shad is still fighting who he think he has to be and not who he is.. I'm disappointed in what they did to Ashley, and how did that happen to Ashley when Charles and have the same sentence, it just doesn't make sense.

Awesome as Always

Quan Mills is the best urban fiction writer ever. The titles are extreme and ratchet but this book will have you going through so many emotions. Anxiously waiting episode 2.

Never a dull moment

My opinion may be a little biased since I am a fan of Quan Millz's work, but this book is a great read. You find yourself instantly engaged in this story revolving around a hard working single mom who seems to be losing her grip on everything in her life. I can't wait for the next installment in this series.
