I read 2 essays out of this collection for my thesis. The introduction offers a decent summary of Victorian culture, specifically about-you guessed it-the way they viewed sex and death. The other essay dealt with aspects of necrophilia and tied in vampire romance that because a genre during this time. That was a very disturbing and interesting essay. I glanced at other essays in the collection before I turned it in to the library and they all seem equally wonderful.
