Plenty of OTT antics that we love from this duo. I always looks forward to the stories because are one of a very few authors that I auto buy. This was a good story but I was let down by the references to his past ONS's and the heroine looking him up and seeing him with the other women. Thankfully it had been a while since he was with other women, but I could have done without it.
-no cheating -no ow/om drama -violence - there was one guy who tried to be forceful with her but it was stopped -epilogue - just ok. While it was several years on the future, it was vague in details about their family. Did they name them all J names?? Left that open
James steals Bennett' wallet. And apparently she also steals his heart. Another book from the breeding series: Coach, Mechanic, Thief, Kingpin and Judge are favourite titles so far. Expect a virgin heroine, a fast love/lust, a happy ending and lots of children in the end.
Steamy and sweet! James is a con artist and she is stealing billionaire Bennett Hughes wallet and heart. Bennett doesn't care his girl is a thief he will do anything to find her and keep her by his side. A great addition to the breeding series. Adorable epilogue with 4 kids. Safe: heroine is a virgin, hero is a reformed manwhore. No OM no OW they are both faithful.
“My god, I’m going to cum on every inch of you,” I say, trailing a finger along her stomach. “You’re going to look beautiful coated in me.”
YAAAS AR FINALLY!!
"Con Artist" is the story of James and Bennett.
When pickpocket James steals Bennett Hughes's wallet, he never expects she would steal his heart too- or that she would become his new obsession. Thus begins a game of cat and mouse between an alpha determined hero, a "jaguar" like sweet heroine, cat and mouse chase, sexy lovemaking and an adorable epilogue.
I missed this brand of dirty AR. Thank you for bringing this lactation fetish-kinky lovemaking-stalking containing breeding series back!
James has been on her own since she was a teenager. Her parents are both alive, though they're also in jail, not that they were mom and dad of the year anyway. She's gotten by with the help of a family friend, Bradford. He's essentially become a surrogate father or uncle and James helps him, her skills at stealing paying off - literally, and with his mom. James is slowly working her way toward a different life, but in the meantime, she needs riskier jobs as they have bigger payoffs. And when she accidentally bumps into a brick wall shaped man, she takes the chance...and his wallet.
Bennett has only ever known a life of luxury, and while he knows he should be thankful for that, and he is, you learn to be cautious, always wondering if people are interested in you or your wealth. When a stranger runs into him, he can't stop thinking about her, and it has nothing to do with the fact she robbed him. She stole something much more important in their very short acquaintance...his heart.
Bennett goes to any lengths necessary to find the woman again, knowing his old friend, Bradford, will be able to help. Bennett just wasn't expecting Bradford to actually know her too. He doesn't fault her for doing what she must to survive, but he wants to give her a life where she doesn't need to, and he wants to be beside her the entire time.
Can Bennett prove his love to James? Will James take a chance? What happens when someone else in James' life finally crosses the line? Will Bennett lose James just when he's found her? Is a HEA possible?
One-click now and follow along as two people, seemingly complete opposites in every way, discover a love that crosses all barriers. Now, on a side note, I really could've done without the references to Bennett's sexual history. While they weren't bad, all things considered, I did not need to know he used to have ONS and those women sold that information to gossip rags, nor did I like the fact that the heroine Googled him and saw pictures of him with women. I do like that he'd been celibate for years and wish that would've been the only information we were given regarding his past as that is all we needed to know.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.**
this was a ride and a half (a wack one i should clarify). i see alexa riley still have barely improved their writing- especially the smut lol. can y all stop using these wildly fucking weird terms like 'breeding' and 'womb cave' or whatever the hell like..... its not sexy at all lmao. i cant even mention the amount of times i laughed during this.
TRY WRITING LONGER NOVELS? y all can't do this shit in 200 pages man. it doesn't work. like the potential is there but there's 0 growth in characters or fluidity in narration. i understand these are suppose to be fun little smutty reads but even that gets lost in the sauce because the rest of the structuring of the book is bad.
Alexa Riley is one of my one click authors and this book is just another example of why.
James has been doing everything that she can to survive on her own since she was fifteen, she is a very successful pick pocket due to the way she just blends in to the surroundings effortlessly and she is small and quick but this isn’t the life that she wants forever. Planning to ask for bigger jobs so that she can earn more she just wants to start over where no one knows her family life but it seems fate has a different plan for her and the day that she bumps into Bennett her life is about to change in a way she never thought could happen to her.
Bennett is a successful businessman but born with it all he feels a little bored that is until James literally bumps in to him and one look in her doe like eyes and his heart is lost forever. Thinking he gave up on love years ago he shocked by his reaction and how far he is willing to go to make her his. He will stop at nothing to claim her forever and low and behold anyone that gets in his way.
James and Bennett are a great couple she keeps him on his toes and he keeps her guessing. So if you are looking for a quick read with a sassy and very feisty heroine and a hero that is obsessive and possessive in the extreme this is a book for you .
I had a hard time eating this one. I went between four and five stars and when in doubt round up!
I hated Bennet in the beginning. He was smug, arrogant, and just talked like a shitty person. It seemed he only wanted James as an unwilling manipulated sex slave. Luckily he seemed to have a personality transplant halfway through and become concerned with more than just fucking her and didn’t act like a spoiled little rich boy.
I wish James had put up some resistance to him. Any! But there was zero. Even when she had the opportunity to take her tracking device off she was just like, nah that’s okay I’ll keep it on. Honey, you know you can take it off so you’re not kept like a pet and still be with the guy right? Like, that IS possible.
The “dark spot” was kind of meh. It lasted barely a second and I thought it should have been about their relationship not something outside of it.
The book was pretty hot though. It’s mostly getting five stars from me because I found the sex scenes enjoyable and steamy (plus I was all about Bennett’s turn around)
Alrighty, almighty but Alexa Riley took this smexy tale up many, many many notches for sure!
Hero and wealthy trust fund holder, Bennett bumps into James (heroine with a man's names) on the street and gets his pockets picked by a beautiful doe-eyed sassy fae-like thief who gets away with not only his wallet but his heart too! It takes Bennett's con artist associate, Bradford to locate the heroine who just so happens to want innocent James out of the lifestyle anyway. So what better way to get her out of the seedy lifestyle than to give her some quick get rich jobs from none other than cocky and wealthy man that she's very attracted too: Bennett.
James (the h) hasn’t had the best start in life. With both her parents incarcerated James works for Bradford as a thief. She’s trying to save enough to start a new life somewhere else.
Bennett is unbelievably rich, he comes from money and could live happily off his trust fund alone. He could probably live off the interest on his trust fund. Despite being tall, rich and handsome he hasn’t had a woman in years. He hasn’t found anyone that really appeals to him. That is until he bumps into James.
It’s Alexa so you know how it goes. I really liked both James and Bennett and this was a great little read.
This is the newest book added to Alexa Riley's Breeding series. I just couldn't put it down once I started reading it. I loved James and how she is a thief, pick-pocket and able to blend into crowds. But she wants to make more money as she wants to quit being a thief. Bennet is wealthy and he's bored. He hasn't been with a woman is a long while and has no desire to start again. His wealth came from his father who inherited it from his father. The mansion he lives by himself and his housekeeper and butler. James is on her way to meet with Bradford, her handler, to get her assignment for the day. She enters the crowd and blends in, that is until she runs into a hard body and he is also holding her so she won't fall. But he doesn't let her go. She looks up and sees his blue eyes staring at her and her hair that has been revealed as her hood slides off. Bennet tightens his hold and doesn't take his eyes off her...
Con Artist Alexa Riley is the story of Bennett Hughes and James Bryant (FYI: Girl). James has been doing small cons since she was little working to make money to move to a better life. When she happens to run into Bennett she takes his wallet. Bennett wants James for more than getting his wallet back. Hot quick read...loved it.
This is the sixth book in the Breeding Series by Alexa Riley It was another OTT, instalove quickie that will give you the feels and make you wish you had your own Bennett Hughes. James is an expert at picking pockets and getting in and out of places quickly and without being seen. Her parents are both trash that ended up in prison and an older man named Bradford took her under his wing. She’s been working for Bradford ever since and saving all the money she can so she can start over somewhere else. One morning on her way to Bradford’s office she bumps into a handsome man wearing a very expensive suit. The man catches her before she falls backwards and doesn’t seem to wanna let go. She finally gets away from him after lifting his wallet. Bennett Hughes is beyond rich and can pretty much buy anything, anywhere, anytime he wants. As great as that sounds he’s also very bored with his life. When he was sixteen he met Bradford and paid him a lot of money to do a job for him and he’s remained close to him ever since. He was distracted by the little thief’s doe eyes and didn’t realize right away that she stole his wallet. He sends a team of people to search the area for her but she seems to have vanished. Since it happened close to Bradford’s office he goes there certain his friend knows everyone in the area and can ID her. He doesn’t care about his wallet or what was in it he wants the little thief for himself. The two of them begin a cute little game of cat and mouse that of course ends with a HEA.
