Deal Breakers

Sometimes second chances come at the oddest moments.

The last place Colette wants to be stranded is the snowed-in Denver airport, especially when her sister is enduring chemo treatments and needs Colette’s help back home. When Colette runs into another stranded passenger—none other than former college boyfriend Drew—she can’t believe how much he’s changed . . . and hasn’t changed. Drew is still the same amazing guy that Colette was foolish enough to blow off for someone else. By the time she’d realized her mistake all those years ago, Drew’s heart had been too broken to give her a second chance. Now Colette can only hope that she can work her way back into his heart.

Drew hadn't planned to spend his Valentine's weekend with Colette but once he gets past his initial shock at seeing her, he realizes this is a chance to find closure that he'd never found. However, the more time he spends with her, the more he remembers why he had fallen for her in the first place. With 200 miles between them, was there a prayer that they could make a relationship work?

I read this story in A Timeless Romance Anthology: Valentine's Day Collection.

I’m so glad Colette got a second chance with Drew! I’m not sure how she let him go the first time. Of course, she isn’t either. :) I loved their interactions with the family at the airport. I was glad we got to see what happened after the airport, as well.

This was a quick read for me and definitely hard to put down. The budding relationship between Colette and Drew was very sweet. It also has a theme of misperceptions and how they can drive us away from those we care about the most. A great novel for anyone looking for a short romance with great characters.

I love this cute story. It was a great quick read and I couldn't put it down so of course I was up past my bed time. It was so great to see Colette and Drew reconnect and work out the past misconceptions and be able to determine what their "Deal Breakers" were if they started their relationship again. Great novel and quick read!

Colette and Drew’s second chance encounter Shia sweet but short story. They reconnect in an airport during a snow storm. As the time progresses they discover that their attraction hadn’t disappeared. A very sweet reconnection story. I was gifted this book as an arc. This is my honest review.

I loved this sweet, short contemporary romance. The characters are wonderful, kind, and interesting. The story moved swiftly and steadily. I would love to hear more of Collette and Drew's story.
