This book reminds me of my own dynamic with my sister. I am the older sister who feels the need to protect her younger sister. Sometimes it spirals out of control and I am told that my sister can fight her own battles. I too want to protect my own sister and let nothing happen to her. Good story. I am confused by some parts of the story. I can empathize with Nea and her need to protect her sister. It’s very relatable.

I had to read this for my AP literature class but honestly the story was very good. The plot twist was unexpected, the feeling of being held back was so real. It represented real struggles that happen to people in the world today.

Pretty good story, loved the dynamic between the two sisters, reminded me of Regulus and Sirius. I hope Nea grows up to be a raging feminist.
