Tissue Paper Magic

Rate this book
A note from the author - In 2022, I updated my work to include additional photos and examples. Please look for "Paint with Tissue Paper - 2nd Edition" for the most up-to-date work. Thank you! (The original description follows)

Anyone can make beautiful pictures using bleeding tissue paper. Examples and projects are included along with strategies and techniques to build confidence. Bleeding art tissue paper can be purchased at your favorite art supply store. Recommendations for specific products and supplies are included. A budget of $20 will go a long way with this hobby. The book begins with basic concepts and includes plenty of ideas that can be adapted for younger artists. Artists younger than 12 would require direction from a parent or older student. Some material near the end of the book should be considered advanced. I am happy to share this fun and easy method to create beautiful pictures and thank you for sharing your time with me!

Learn something new every day!

I never inbreeding tissue paper existed. Needless to say, I've already ordered some. Nice, short introduction to the medium. Easy quick read. Teaches basic methods and has lots of pictures. Hopefully, the reality is as easy as the author describes!

Interesting method

Enjoyed reading about a new process with paper. Read on an airplane so didn't take notes. Will try to read one more time.

Derek presents a unique way to get a different kind of ink on paper, but personally, I would not want to only use the ink from the tissue paper and then throw the paper away.
