Jazzed-Blacklight, written by Liv Grant is one of the stories in the Black Light Anthology. I really enjoyed this story, it was well thought out, well written and grabbed me from the first page. This is not easily accomplished when writing a short story, so I was impressed that Ms. Clark was able to achieve this. Also, I immediately liked both Jazz and Michael, and this is their story and oh my what an incredibly fun and sexy story it is.
Jazz, a successful musician, is so busy with her music career she has no time for her love life. Her best friend and manager, Ryan, has signed her up for a night of Valentine fun, that featured a “Celebrity Auction” at the Black Light Club. Even though Michael is a prominent psychiatrist, he is bored with his life, and he is not sure what he is looking for. His best friend and partner, Troy, suggests he should shake things up a bit and bid on one of the celebrity women featured at the Valentine’s Day Charity Event. For both Jazz and Michael, this was supposed to be one night of steamy fun… and it was definitely steamy and fun! But unfortunately, my review ends here. Introduction Scene - 4.5 stars
Wow this was almost an entire story in and off itself! We get the very heated, in more ways than one, meeting at Black Light West to arrange the event, then we get a very different view of the Valley Girl that is Madison.
This totally drew me into the story, it sets up some stories for more than just what you will enjoy in Celebrity Roulette . I loved the dynamic between Jaxon and Chase, and it was good to catch up with characters we have met in more recent books.
Guarded, by Renee Rose - 5 stars
Oh my god Lincoln made me melt. This story even made me sniffle and have to dry my eyes! I absolutely adored Scarlett and Lincoln, in fact I fell in love with them. Their scenes were fairly straight forward but this didn't need extreme kink or challenge.
The depth of emotion, the connection between the characters, the strength of them just combined to make this an absolutely wonderful tale to read. It simply touched something in my heart, not an easy feat for a short story to achieve. Bravo Ms Rose!
Switched, by Livia Grant - 5 stars
I've never read a book where the heroine is a Domme, mainly because the idea doesn't appeal. I guess it's because I like my men rough, tough and alpha to the core. However this story has gone a long way to changing my mind. It was hot, sexy and emotional too.
Piper, the heroine, is known as Mistress Ice and that describes her usual emotions too. Nolan is the Dom who can't forget the night he spent with her a few years ago. He wants a chance to explore the connection he feels they have, or at least an opportunity for closure. So he submits, or at least tries his best to, for a night with the woman of his dreams.
We get some intense scenes, a lot of chemistry and a very open end that promises we will see more of Piper and Nolan. I can't wait to learn even more about this pair, both characters had good depth and I really felt their emotions. They are something very special together and this was a wonderful introduction to them both.
Determined, by Maren Smith - 5 stars
Phew! What a scorcher of a read. This story totally focuses on the BDSM play, rather than the couple or a possible romance, and I was totally fine with that. In fact it was quite a refreshing change and i liked the extra dimension it added to this anthology.
Claire and Adam were both likeable characters and I loved their scenes. Whilst the play involved was, at heart, mainstream, the intensity of it pushed this into quite a challenging read. Challenging in a very good, very hot, very naughty way! This is a really well written addition to the book.
Hooked, by Jennifer Bene - 5 stars
This was one red hot read, with a hero very unlike the usual hard-ass and even anti-hero men we are used to from this author. That isn't to say that Wyatt isn't all Dom, but it was good to read about one with deep empathy skills and his own worries. It made him so very real and easy to connect with.
Whilst Vanessa had some self-worth issues, which Wyatt definitely started to 'beat' out of her, she was still a very strong character. Both mentally and physically. The chemistry and connection between them was intense and totally believable. They drew me in to this story and I read it late into the night, just to finish it in one sitting.
We are treated to some VERY hot and sexy BDSM scenes. There is nothing too boundary pushing but they are still very powerful and potent.
Pressure, by Measha Stone - 5 stars
Michele and Egan totally stole my heart with their story. Measha smashed the ball right out of the park with this one. I loved the characters, their interactions and their play, this hit all the right notes with me. There was a really good balance of story, playtime and feels in this short tale, it had everything I never knew I wanted in the story!
I loved how most of the play wasn't extreme, but Egan still managed to push Michele's boundaries. He managed to get into her head whilst getting her out of it. Loved it!
Savor, by Maggie Ryan - 5 stars
Wow this story certainly sizzled. The chemistry between Carnegie and Ronan was red hot, yet we still had some very gentle and tender moments amidst the play. I adored how caring Ronan was, how he made sure Carnegie was never overwhelmed even when he was pushing her limits. Yet he remained hot, commanding and in charge all of the time. The power exchange in this felt very different. He was still dominant and Carnegie was very much submissive, but because they were neither an established couple or playing under a contract, it felt much more informal and I really enjoyed that aspect of it.
This was another story that left us on a HFN, rather than declarations of undying love by Ronan and Carnegie. Again this added variety and spice to the mix.
If the rest of the book is of a similar quality then this is going to be one amazing read!

First off, I look forward to each and every Black Light story, the anthologies I have a love/hate relationship with....love them but hate that they make me want more!! LOL
The intro.....sets the tone of the whole book, leaves me all happy.....get more Jaxson, Chase and Emma......in a way. Sets up the event, gets us all hot from the beginning!!
Guarded by Renee Rose, Lincoln and Scarlett...…..who wouldn't jump, and I mean jump, all over him??? I never even thought about their ages, story was so good, it never even hit me til later!
Switched by Livia Grant, I only have one, maybe two things to say....better have more from these two and Nolan is HOT!!! Way to make the Dom sweat!! You go Piper, but need her story now.
Determined by Maren Smith, this one, holy amazing hellballs! This one, melted my undies right off of me. I have no more words, just don't read it at work!

Control by Dani Rene, Kaelin and Jed, what a combo, he came across different at first, I was iffy but he grew on me! Rock star Manwhore he may be but the man has some depth!!
And then we get the conclusion.......Bam! Sexy as it was I was more happy to see how everyone's night went and what was going ummmm down next! Lol, but really this has me all psyched up and ready for more.......teasing seems to be second nature to the Black Light authors!!! No wonder we love these so much! Ready for more now!!

I love all the Black Light stories and have been totally sucked into that world. I look forward to Roulette every year, and this one is no different. This time though, instead of rolling for partners, players got to bid on celebrities that they wanted to play with.

Great story. Lincoln used to work for Scarlett A until he walked in on her with a play partner. When he got fired, he spent a year learning to be a Dom, just for her. The chemistry between Lincoln and Scarlett is great. I felt sorry for him because he seemed like he had a hard time with verbalizing his feelings.

Vanessa is a principal ballerina, and Wyatt is the man who is obsessed with her. Oh man, the heat coming off this story is a zillion degrees, like the heat of 1000 white hot suns. Yeah, it's that good. I've never really thought of ballet barres and pointe shoes as all that sexy, but Jennifer Bene really changed my mind here. I want more of their story, because they are awesome.

All I can say about this one is that Livia Grant is mean as all get out. Just so mean. Super mean. This story has so much packed in it, even though it's a short story, there are all the feelz in it, and they are intense feelz.

This is one that I'm really hoping that Maren Smith decide to expand because I love the story and I love the interaction between Claire and Adam. Their scene is hot as Hades, and Claire's stubborness is just so awesome to watch. I kind of felt sorry for her too, because I think that she felt like she had to be so under control and so stubborn, no matter what.

Michele has been "volunteered" to scene with her crush, Egan. Their story is so electric, and I really felt like I could feel Michele's feelings about Egan and about her friend Corine. And really, with friends like that, who needs enemies? They have a great connection though, so I loved them a lot.

Ever wanted to play doctor with someone really hot? That's what happens to Ronan and Carnegie when they spin their chance at Roulette. Maggie Ryan's story is sweet and hot, and all kinds of spicy, exactly what you would expect from a chef. And who knew paintbrushes could be so hot?

Serena once met Trenton years ago, but they only spent a few minutes together. She's just never forgotten how good he made her feel in a really bad moment. So, she bids on him. It's obvious from the very beginning how much of a connection Serena felt for Trenton before she even got to play with him, and once they did start playing, there was definitely a strong, strong connection that was just so lovely.

You don’t need to have read any of the previous books to be captivated by this collection! There are plenty of famous celebrities that get the chance to live their kinks in a safe and consensual way, and plenty of winners that help capture pieces of their hearts. Some of these stories have happy endings while other leaving you needing more, but all together this is an amazing collection full of desires and cravings, sweet moments, intense scenes, and a lot of budding romance!

Scarlett was a big star, but I loved her real side she showed, and I loved how confident she was with her needs. This was a great way to start off the collection and I only want more!

Adam was creative, caring, and the perfect balance of sadistic, but I loved the scene he created and his softer sides, too. I’m definitely wanting more of Claire and Adam!

Vanessa is a professional ballerina and used to pain, so could this session be everything she’s ever wanted? Oh my goodness, I loved Wyatt and Vanessa’s connection! You could feel it right from their very first meeting, all through their session, and I loved how this romance ended! Wyatt was completely caring, but also completely focused on what Vanessa needed, from pain to letting her fly. Vanessa was so concerned about everything that was going on, but I loved that she felt safe enough and protected enough that she could fly free. While their scenes were well thought out and intense, it was because of their connection and emotions behind it all, too. I absolutely loved this romance!
Pressure by Measha Stone - Michele arrived at Black Light, thinking she would just be enjoying watching the scenes and is shocked to find her best friend has paired her off with her crush, Egan. Not sure they’re a good match, Michele goes into their scenes with trepidation at first, but can she trust enough to let go and let Egan dominate? Ohhh, this romance was just delicious with enough kink and a touch of sweet. Michele and Egan were a fun match, and I absolutely loved that he could look beyond her walls and figure out exactly what she needed and how to push her boundaries. I also loved that Egan was able to provide a little bit of confidence to Michele, worshiping her body, but also showing how he can be reliable and loving the little aspects that shined through. I loved this romance, loved their connection, and loved the possibilities of the ending!
Savor by Maggie Ryan - Carnegie places bids on Ronan, her celebrity crush, and is disappointed when she’s just a runner up. But what happens when the winner leaves and Carnegie gets her chance with Ronan? Ohhh this romance - you see its title and this just completely lived up to it! I loved Ronan and Carnegie, I loved their chemistry, connection, desires, kinks, and their sense of adventure. Ronan is so creative, not just with food, but with his scenes, too, and I loved getting into his head to see how Carnegie was so different for him. Carnegie was innocent, but brave, a little timid at times, but not afraid to go wherever with Ronan, whom she trusted completely. You get three delightful rolls and I felt like I was eating this creamy, chocolately goodness, only I was reading these deeply sensual scenes. I loved how everything played out and loved the ending!

Their scenes were passionate and the ending left me wanting more. I really hope that there will be a continuation story of Michael and Jazz in the future.

I read Switched by Livia Grant and what a treat. Strong Dominant Nolan will do anything for another chance to be with Piper. Even paying outrageous sums of money in an auction to continue their connection. Not being a natural switch he will submit himself for her dominance even as he fights for control. Their connection is strong and their story is not finished. I cannot wait for more.
I read Hooked by Jennifer Bene and it is a much softer side of her writing than I have read. So good. The slight obsession of Wyatt comes thru as slightly stalkerish but in the best way as he is prepared for her pleasure by learning as much as he can about her. His shy demeanor is pushed to the side once he is able to get his hands on her and what a heart pounding effect he has on her. As the reader it comes thru as mesmerizing and touching.
I just finished Pressure by Measha Stone. Michele's discomfort was so very strong you felt it thru the pages and sympathized with her feelings. Her intense desire to say and do the right thing so her partner felt at ease and would take care of her kind of broke my heart. All the internal discussions she had with herself and not being able to get out of her head. I fell in love with Egan with his ability to calm her and push her limits. Perfect addition to this series.

Intro by Livia Grant and Jennifer Bene
I absolutely adored the little intro, giving us a peek into the lives of familiar characters and introducing this years Valentine Roulette! I was tickled pink with amusement at the names of Chase, Emma and Jaxon's children Alicia and Andrew as those are mine and my hubs names. The intro perfectly set up the book and even though I only read one story I am eager to get my one-click on!

I love how we begin with a taste of each character and how their stories might begin to play out. Jed and Kaelin’s story is that forbidden/rockstar romance twist in the BDSM scene and I couldn’t get enough. Their time together is nothing short of steamy and edge of your seat page turning feels. We’re given a decent amount of their background and story and yet there’s a window that’s left open to possibly learn more about them in the future. I will definitely be reading the other authors stories and seeing what everyone else has to share in Black Light.

Oh what a read this was. Absolutely loved Kaelin and Jed. She's had a crush on him forever, he has lusted after her from afar. Mistress Ice(Piper) didn’t put up with anything or anyone. That’s how she kept her name. But Master Nolan plans to melt the Ice Mistress and with the highest bid. He may be able to find out what happened in the past to end their time together. These two are a pair. But Piper is really hiding something. She may want to prove that she is truly an Ice Queen but it seems more she is using anger. I love that Nolan was willing to be the sub to let her have her way but to also find out what happened in the past. What Nolan goes through for her while she is a Domme was an eye opener. Like OUCH! But unfortunately we are left hanging……..to be continued. UGH!!!!

I am glad that he did recognize her from her day job, so that is a plus. What he plans for her during their time together is really romantic and sexy. I really loved that he had her as the platter and food served on her. That is so interesting.

With her going on tour and him having his patience’s, it was going to be a long wait. Heck I wanted to see him going on tour with her but that wasn’t realistic. I hope that there is a happy ending for them. He brings out her innocence and they are good for one another.
#5 Control – Dani Rene
Jed was trying to stay away from the temptation of Kaelin. But she isn’t going to make it easy. Kaelin wanted him from the very beginning but the way he treated her, she wasn’t too sure. Winning the auction should make this easy. These two, you have to wonder why her father was such an issue. She could stand the way he treated her and why should Jed care what he thinks. Ok yes I know her father is his agent but still. Thank goodness Kae won the auction. When Jed finds out he is a bit in shock but he figures he may be able to scare her off. I mean why was she even at Black Light? But not only does it break him down but now both their fantasies can be played out. You think that Jed is a macho jerk but he actually really cares for Kaelin. These two are alike in all things. Their play is intense and sometime you just want to hold your breath.
Conclusion – So the West Coast Black Light Roulette went off well. A few issues that were handled by the DM’s. Jax was ready to burn off a little or a lot of sexual tension with his subs. Madison got to finally have her time with Trevor. Have to love that he took her out of the club caveman style. It was a great read and a hot night.
Lincoln was Scarlett’s bodyguard till she fired him. It was a big misunderstanding. Now Lincoln won the chance to make things right. He wanted more than to be her bodyguard. He wanted to be her Dom, protector, her all. Scarlett enjoys the BDSM life. It makes her feel alive. She’s shocked to see Lincoln again and to know that he is the one that won the bid for her for one night.
You have to feel for Lincoln. He is ex-military and he is a man of few words. He is in love with Scarlett but he just can say it. He wants to show her too. I love that Scarlett isn’t a young up and new coming celebrity. She is older and can truly appreciate Lincoln and what he did for her. I love the Dom and soft side of Lincoln. Heck I would want him to protect me and give me after care too. I was glad to see that Scarlett figured out what he was trying to say and didn’t let het man go.
#9 Switched - Livia Grant
Mistress Ice(Piper) didn’t put up with anything or anyone. That’s how she kept her name. But Master Nolan plans to melt the Ice Mistress and with the highest bid. He may be able to find out what happened in the past to end their time together. These two are a pair. But Piper is really hiding something. She may want to prove that she is truly an Ice Queen but it seems more she is using anger. I love that Nolan was willing to be the sub to let her have her way but to also find out what happened in the past. What Nolan goes through for her while she is a Domme was an eye opener. Like OUCH! But unfortunately we are left hanging……..to be continued. UGH!!!!
#7 Determined – Maren Smith
Claire has fantasied about Adam since she saw him at Black Light. She wanted to feel the heat from a spanking by him. Adam didn’t know what to think of this little spitfire. She didn’t seem to know anything about what truly goes on at Black Light. She certainly never scened before. The spin was not what Claire expected but Adam drew out what she was looking for. I have to say I had never heard of that one before when they spun the wheel. It was definitely intense. She got the spanking alright and then some. WOW! You have to give it to Claire, I would have safe worded by then. She was tough as was her nickname the British B&^%*. I hope down the line we read more about these two.

Vanessa doesn’t think that being a ballet dancer makes her a celebrity. I beg to differ. Those people are truly dedicated and work extremely hard. I do like that Wyatt has wanted to have her as a sub for a while and that he knows about her dancing and her “interest.” He plans out so many things and have things built or bought just for her. It just seems that these two fit together like a lock and key. He is able to take her to subspace and she finds comfort and trust in him.

In the name of full disclosure, I got ARCs for a few of the stories in this set, but after reading only the introduction I knew I had to buy it. It is FANTASTIC!!! I love that the stories all revolve around a set time and place. I love that each story is different than the others; with each author bringing their own twist on things. However, the things I love the most are being back in Black Light, the cameos of characters from previous books, and that most of the stories are only the beginning and I know they will be revisited. There wasn't one story in this set that I felt was lacking in any way. They each have different levels of play, the characters are all different and have different reasons for being where they are, and they each evoke different emotions.
I'm going to start with the Event Planning and Introduction because it sets the stage for what you are going to be getting. I love Madison! She is fun and brings a different flavor to the event. I love her valley-girl talk and spunky attitude. She is also hiding a few secrets. The introduction has enough info to whet your appetite without giving any of the story details away and has many humorous moments.
Guarded by Renee Rose - This one revolves around Lincoln and Scarlett. She is a famous pop star and he used to be her bodyguard. The history in this one adds a lot of emotional elements to the heat level. Lincoln just wanted a chance to act on the emotions he had to keep hidden when she was his boss. Scarlett doesn't think he can give her what she needs and is afraid of opening up and trusting him. The heat level is intense, the emotional connection, and chemistry, is strong between the characters, and it will have your emotions all over the place.
Switched by Livia Grant - OMG! This one ripped my heart out in so many places. Piper Kole and Nolan Boeing are the main characters in this story. She is a famous actress, he's a powerful movie executive, and they enjoyed an incredible night together years ago. Then something happened and Piper Kole made herself into Mistress Ice. OK...no spoilers...This one is intense in a very emotional way. I wanted to reach into the book and wrap my arms around Piper, and at the same time smack Nolan upside the head. The scenes are a blend of heat and heartache that have left me needing more.
Determined by Maren Smith - I knew this one was going to be extra hot, and I was right. Claire thrives on having control in every aspect of her life. She isn't one to back down from something she wants; and right now, she wants Adam Butler. He's a professional body builder, model, and "King of the Spanking Bench". I love that title! Claire is pretty new to the scene and isn't sure she can do this, but she is more than determined to liver her fantasy. I love Claire's innocence and the way she pushes Adam to the limit. This one is burning hot!
Hooked by Jennifer Bene - Wyatt, a fan that could almost be described as stalker-ish, and Vanessa, a prima ballerina who suffers from self-esteem issues. She worries about not being good enough, pretty enough, famous enough, all of those things, and the way Wyatt shows her how wrong she is melted my heart. I loved the honest, real personalities Ms. Bene created. It was easy to become invested in both of the characters, and I hope to see more of them.
Pressure by Measha Stone - This one starts with a twist. Michelle isn't at the club to play. She's very unsure of herself, worries about saying and doing the wrong thing, and trusting doesn't come easily. Egan is the lead guitarist in a rock band. This story has an opposites attract sort of vibe, with some surprises thrown in. It's sexy and sweet at the same time, and the heat level is off the charts. I am hoping to see a future book about Corrine, too. I would love to know what her consequences are for pulling the stunt she did.
Savor by Maggie Ryan - The giggles started on the second page of this story. The descriptions of Emma, the way they convince Ronan to join the auction, and even the first interactions between Ronan and Carnegie put a huge smile on my face. That smile was quickly replaced with a heatwave, but there were still silly little moments that kept the smile creeping onto my face. Ronan doesn't think he belongs in the auction since he is only a chef. Carnegie, an author of erotic novels, thinks he's the reason the sun shines, and can't wait to watch him scene. The sparks are instant and burn fiercely between these two. Their love story wasn't something I was expecting it to be. It was warm and patient. It was also freakin' HOT. Everyone needs a chef, and Dom, like this in their life.
Cherished by Sue Lyndon - Sunshine, who is fairly new to the scene, and Trenton, an action movie star and Daddy Dom. HOT HOT HOT! Those are the only words I can use to describe this one. It is another story where the couple have had some interaction in the past, but it was only a moment; there and gone in less than 10 minutes. The scenes between these two were both sweet and dirty. Ms. Lyndon really knows how to write sexy Daddy Doms.
Jazzed by Lesley Clark - This is a new author to me, but she has made quite the impression. Jazz, the lead singer in a band, and Michael, a psychiatrists who specialize in the alternative lifestyle. Michael is a man who cares about the mental well being of people, hence the job, and the way he worries about Jazz's inner self is beautiful. His character is constantly in that "Dr. mode" where he is looking out for Jazz's well being, as well as giving her the scenes she needs. Even the reason he chooses to bid on her is based more on a need to help and cherish her. I can't wait to look for more books by Ms. Clark.
Control by Dani Rene - What can I even say about Kaelin and Jed... He is the famous rock star. She's the daughter of his agent. She has had a crush on him for years, and he can't stand the sight of her. At least that's what she thinks. This story is going to warm you up quickly. It is intense in both their emotional connection and the play they enter into. All I can say is OMG!!! I found myself holding my breath right along with Kaelin and I never wanted this one to end.
That leads us to the Conclusion by Livia Grant and Jennifer Bene - UGH!!! That ending KILLED ME! OK, not really. I loved the glimpse into the clean up of the night, but that tease about Madison and Trevor is just plain mean.
Each of the stories in this one bring something unique to the set, so there is really something for everyone, and even the stories that I didn't think I would enjoy too much made me fall in love, and lust, to the point where I want more. I'm already anxiously waiting for my next visit to Black Light.

I just love this time of year as it means only one thing....yet another fantastically put together visit to Black Light and the world Black Collar Press have created...and I LOVE it!!!! This one is no such exception as we take a journey to the West Coast and the new club created by the sexy throuple Jaxon, Chase and Emma.
Introduction - Jennifer Bene and Livia Grant
A fantastic dip into the planning of the Celebrity VIP Roulette event and a great reintroduction to some old friends. This one sets up the steamy and allows us another glimpse into the ever changing but ever sexy lives of Jaxon, Chase and Emma - and of course the team on the West Coast......can't wait to see what comes of the roll of the dice!
Guarded - Renee Rose
This is almost a second chance type roll of the dice as Scarlett is stunned to find Lincoln her former (and fired) bodyguard is to be her Dom for what turns into a very sexy session of whipping and shibaru. As always with Renee's work, you are never disappointed by the heat she manages to pack in and the relationship between Scarlett and Lincoln as they form an understanding is beautifully put together!
Switched -Livia Grant
Piper and Nolan are certainly an odd paring as both identify on the dominant side but Livia manages to leave me screaming 'Nooooooooo!!!!! WTF????' as she leaves us begging to see how these two work out their differences. I can only say that the knife play, bondage and c&b torture is intense in more ways than one and boy, I can't wait to see if this becomes a story all by itself. Don't leave us hanging too long Ms. Grant!

Claire and Adam are SO HAWT I needed to take a minute - and of course read again and share with my partner! Phew...I REALLY hope we see more of these two as the play between them is so amazingly intense and super sexy that for me, despite loving ALL of these tales, Claire and Adam were by far the best couple of the night for me. The final scene in the Red Light area was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!! More please...I'm not afraid to beg (or put my head in a hole!)
Hooked - Jennifer Bene
Vanessa and Wyatt's spin of the wheel is passionate and caring but by no means any less hot as the sadist and masochist move to a beautiful rhythm. This one 'feels' different than others in the collection and the intensity between them both is portrayed in such a meaningful way that Jennifer allows her reader to sway with Vanessa and Wyatt as they explore a deep connection.
Pressure - Measha Stone
Michele and Egan have an unsteady beginning but this soon turns to an exciting Doms Choice and edge play session between a sadist and at times, a 'little' that, you can't help but fall for these two. Egan is what Michele dreams of but with self doubt a big factor, it takes Egan to push Michele out of her comfort zone to really let go. Measha write this brilliantly and adds very raw emotions for Michele that many can sympathise with and leaves us at times empathising her anxiety and embarrassment but also experiencing her awakening and joy! I am not sure if this is where this one ends....but I certainly would like to see more exploration as Michele and Egan explore together.
Savor - Maggie Ryan
Now every woman wants a man who can not only set things alight in the bedroom but prepare a spectacular meal too and this is what Maggie gives us in the form of Ryan and his sub Carnegie. This one is very interesting from the medical play to the Doms Choice that certainly gets the juices flowing and the water sports which is SO not what you image (very clever Maggie!). These two make a great couple and is seriously hot as Ryan delivers in more ways than one with Carnegie!
Cherished - Sue Lyndon
This one by Sue is sort of older man, younger woman but the relationship between these two is very interestingly written with some great ABDL, oral and intercourse play that leaves us all wants to see more of Serena and Trenton. Trenton is such a caring and emotional Dom that you can see why Serena feels the way she does. You can't help but fall for Trenton's protective nature and I have a feeling that should these two ever get a book of their own, a much more Daddy Dom may be present!
Jazzed - Lesley Clark
I could be wrong, but I have a feeling Jazz and Michael's story is only just beginning and hope we see more soon. I think Lesley has hinted at the very beginning of this tale where this may take us but, the play between Jazz and Michael is intense as the psychiatrist Dom tries to see past the wall Jazz has built to protect herself emotionally and physically. I loved these two and thought Jazz's best friend added just the right amount of funny to cut through the intensity these two create! Can't wait to see more......

Although this one is short and sweet it is so intense and hot that there is no let up from the first glimpse of Kaelin and Jed. The roll of the dice in this one is so much more than a roulette spin and for both of them, the stakes are higher than ever. Raw, intense and full of emotion - I would be intrigued to see more of these two!
Conclusion - Jennifer Bene and Livia Grant
It's always sad to come to the end of the night with the lights turned up and the roulette wheel put away for another year but, Jennifer and Livia once again give us a behind the scenes look at our favourites as the night winds to a close, so I'm not too sad! I loved seeing the impact of the Red Light area on a DM and laughed as it gave me the same feel! (See Determined!) I also loved the family element that is slowly starting to take shape as the West Coast become a success and am excited to see which members of the team get their own Black Light story - I hope it's Madison first! That being said, Jaxon, Chase and Emma are ever present and the glimpse we got (though never enough for me- I always want more of these three) is a perfect ending to a sexy and steamy night!
As always with the Black Light series, for me the work that goes into the crossover elements and allows each story to flow so smoothly makes this a brilliant collection. I often find with collections that it's simply authors working alone around a theme but it's obvious that Black Collar Press are a family that expands as time moves on but stays true to the core elements set from the very first book. I love how Valentine's is almost a close of one chapter and the introduction and promise of another years worth of fabulous books by some very talented authors who know how to tease and entice you in!
This one is another five star plus must read for me!

Claire and Adam are SO HAWT I needed to take a minute - and of course read again and share with my partner! Phew...I REALLY hope we see more of these two as the play between them is so amazingly intense and super sexy that for me, despite loving ALL of these tales, Claire and Adam were by far the best couple of the night for me. The final scene in the Red Light area was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!! More please...I'm not afraid to beg (or put my head in a hole!)
Hooked - Jennifer Bene
Vanessa and Wyatt's spin of the wheel is passionate and caring but by no means any less hot as the sadist and masochist move to a beautiful rhythm. This one 'feels' different than others in the collection and the intensity between them both is portrayed in such a meaningful way that Jennifer allows her reader to sway with Vanessa and Wyatt as they explore a deep connection.
Pressure - Measha Stone
Michele and Egan have an unsteady beginning but this soon turns to an exciting Doms Choice and edge play session between a sadist and at times, a 'little' that, you can't help but fall for these two. Egan is what Michele dreams of but with self doubt a big factor, it takes Egan to push Michele out of her comfort zone to really let go. Measha write this brilliantly and adds very raw emotions for Michele that many can sympathise with and leaves us at times empathising her anxiety and embarrassment but also experiencing her awakening and joy! I am not sure if this is where this one ends....but I certainly would like to see more exploration as Michele and Egan explore together.
Savor - Maggie Ryan
Now every woman wants a man who can not only set things alight in the bedroom but prepare a spectacular meal too and this is what Maggie gives us in the form of Ryan and his sub Carnegie. This one is very interesting from the medical play to the Doms Choice that certainly gets the juices flowing and the water sports which is SO not what you image (very clever Maggie!). These two make a great couple and is seriously hot as Ryan delivers in more ways than one with Carnegie!
Cherished - Sue Lyndon
This one by Sue is sort of older man, younger woman but the relationship between these two is very interestingly written with some great ABDL, oral and intercourse play that leaves us all wants to see more of Serena and Trenton. Trenton is such a caring and emotional Dom that you can see why Serena feels the way she does. You can't help but fall for Trenton's protective nature and I have a feeling that should these two ever get a book of their own, a much more Daddy Dom may be present!
Jazzed - Lesley Clark
I could be wrong, but I have a feeling Jazz and Michael's story is only just beginning and hope we see more soon. I think Lesley has hinted at the very beginning of this tale where this may take us but, the play between Jazz and Michael is intense as the psychiatrist Dom tries to see past the wall Jazz has built to protect herself emotionally and physically. I loved these two and thought Jazz's best friend added just the right amount of funny to cut through the intensity these two create! Can't wait to see more......
Control - Dani Rene
Although this one is short and sweet it is so intense and hot that there is no let up from the first glimpse of Kaelin and Jed. The roll of the dice in this one is so much more than a roulette spin and for both of them, the stakes are higher than ever. Raw, intense and full of emotion - I would be intrigued to see more of these two!
Conclusion - Jennifer Bene and Livia Grant
It's always sad to come to the end of the night with the lights turned up and the roulette wheel put away for another year but, Jennifer and Livia once again give us a behind the scenes look at our favourites as the night winds to a close, so I'm not too sad! I loved seeing the impact of the Red Light area on a DM and laughed as it gave me the same feel! (See Determined!) I also loved the family element that is slowly starting to take shape as the West Coast become a success and am excited to see which members of the team get their own Black Light story - I hope it's Madison first! That being said, Jaxon, Chase and Emma are ever present and the glimpse we got (though never enough for me- I always want more of these three) is a perfect ending to a sexy and steamy night!
As always with the Black Light series, for me the work that goes into the crossover elements and allows each story to flow so smoothly makes this a brilliant collection. I often find with collections that it's simply authors working alone around a theme but it's obvious that Black Collar Press are a family that expands as time moves on but stays true to the core elements set from the very first book. I love how Valentine's is almost a close of one chapter and the introduction and promise of another years worth of fabulous books by some very talented authors who know how to tease and entice you in!
This one is another five star plus must read for me!

The newest Black Light anthology Black Light Celebrity: Roulette allows you to delve into this fantasy, and the stories inside are incredibly delicious to behold. Adding to the spice of the conceit of this novel is the added twist that each couple does not know exactly what kink they will be exploring with each other, which only adds to the heat of each encounter.
Hard limits are allowed, but beyond that? Discovery awaits each and every pairing, and who knows what our couples will find out about each other?

This includes this year’s Valentine’s Day event, which draws celebrity contestants to be put up for auction for to the highest bidder for one night of play in the club on Valentine’s Day. The one hitch; the couples will have to spin on the roulette wheel to determine what scene style they will be acting out. Hard limits are allowed, but for something that isn’t, the couples will have to adapt to what chance gives them.
The novels in the Black Light series are just wonderful to read, each having their own theme and story arcs. I love the anthologies because by and large they focus more on the clubs themselves, whereas in the individual stand-alone novels the clubs can often be somewhat peripheral to the stories. Not that this is a bad thing; quite the opposite. But it is nice to read stories which center around the club itself, and this anthology certain gives the reader everything they could hope for in that regard. I loved the beginning, which gave us a taste of Jaxson and Chase preparing for their first big Valentine’s Day event at Black Light West, which included introducing us to the manager, Madison. This beginning sets the tone, and is especially fun for any reader who is familiar with the Black Light series from previous novels / anthologies.
All of the stories after the introduction are wonderful, and I think any individual reader is going to have a favorite based upon what kink/s may appeal the most. One of my favorites was Hooked, by Jennifer Bene. My own reasons for loving this story were twofold; it dealt with impact play (Yes! Please and thank you!), and it also had Wyatt, the Dom in the story, express internal thoughts and reactions that are all too often left out of stories dealing with D/s dynamics. Wyatt worries. He obsesses. He’s a Dom, and he projects it well externally, but inside he has the conversations and internal dialogues that real Doms do that often just get glossed over or ignored entirely in stories. Have I planned this scene right? Did I make all the necessary preparations? Am I reading my sub correctly? Am I going too far? Not far enough? It’s one thing to have all the outward appearances of dominance that will build the proper ambiance for a scene, and help to get a sub into their proper, desired headspace. It’s another thing entirely for the reader to be given a peek inside what is going on behind the stern voice and confident mien, and I loved this story for taking that chance and showing that part of the dynamic. Oh, and lest the impression be given that that’s all that goes on, no; the play (and sex) is hot as hell!
There are a total of nine separate stories in this anthology, each one taking on a separate kink. So there is more than enough here to satisfy any readers particular desire, and all are so well written that even if the kink in the story is not one that you are particularly into, they’ll draw you in for the interactions between the characters alone. The stories are hot, the characters are engaging, the kinks sometimes intriguing but never boring. This is an anthology you are going to be drawn into right from the start, and the stories here will not let you go. Expect to see each and every one of these couples again sometime in the future (and we expect Madison and Trevor’s story too, Ms. Grant and Bene!)

Introduction by Jennifer Bene and Livia Grant: Outstanding – I can’t get enough of the Black Light books. Love seeing Jaxson, Chase and Emma again. Madison looks to be a strong addition to the Black Light West books. I really like this one being a celebrity auction and proceeds going to charity. Nice touch. 5* for the Introduction

Ahh, Black Light Roulette. How I love to visit you with your enticing Doms, sexy submissives, and with every the roll of the wheel, a sizzling act- each more titillating than the last. Yes, I certainly have loved each Roulette Edition. I have mixed feelings about novellas in general, however. It’s like someone waving your absolute favorite treat in front of you, and after you’ve had that first delicious bite, and are salivating for more... they say “Nuh uh! You can’t eat it all. Only a few more bites for you.” But you are already invested, hooked in. Too late to stop devouring. I will only read novellas for my favorite authors (like these wonderful ladies) because they can pack a powerful story even in a small bite (sorry for the mixed metaphor). I loved ALL the stories. I really wanted more, especially for some of them. But I guess we can’t always get what we want. 😊 Still, the way the all the story lines weaved together, and a possible one or two other stories/books are sitting out there, teasing us.... FIVE STARS!!!!!

BDSM Romance from the Best of the Very Best of this Genre
My reviews focus on 4 books in this amazing yearly Black Light series. This being the Celebrity Roulette but with a twist of being bid on by their Dom’s or Domme’s on-line before hand. The series improves with every year that passes and for me 2019 is the best series. Who will be their anonymous Dom? I loved the continuation of old characters in the new anthology.
Jazzed - by Lesley Clark - Take Your Breath Away
Jazz is on a 6 month pre-tour concert, due time off. Famous and lonely and totally exhausted! Jazz was a submissive but did not have time to submit to anyone in her constant touring. Is this his biggest gamble after his many missed chances to play with her in Black Light? Will Vanessa take the risk like she takes with her craving for pain? Who new that ballet impact play could sound and be so hot to read! Can Vanessa at last tune out her thoughts? I can highly recommend this unique read as one of Jennifer’s best reads.

Wow, wow, wow this is the one book in the anthology that blew my mind! You can always depend on Measha Stone to come up with a great believable storyline with real girls issues! Michele an author of psychological thrillers, only happy in her writing cave, but has lots of low self esteem and body issues. Has no idea that her BF Corinne has signed her up for the Black Light Celebrity event. The Body Spanx scene had me rolling about with laughter, the scene was so real and so many women will relate to it! Being a stamp footing ‘Little’ who loved being cared for! Is who she thinks she is! But can she be what Egan the domineering sadist really wants? Can he break down her high walls and could she play outside her comfort zone?

The next season of Black Light kicks off with an astounding selection of stories from some of my favourite authors, not to mention one or two I haven't read before. Celebrity Roulette takes place in the new Black Light mansion and the shift in locations is both exciting and a little weird - trying to get used to the new staff and imagining the set up of the mansion was entertaining.
Guarded - Renee Rose
This was actually quite a sweet book, with the Dom in charge going to quite some lengths to take control over his life and his love again. I'd love to see where the author could take these characters in a full-length book.
Switched - Livia Grant
LOVED the chemistry between the two Dominants in Switched. Mistress Ice obviously had some history which needs to be expanded upon, and Master Nolan needs closure (as do I). I cannot wait until this comes out as a full book. With the heat on the pages from just this short work, a book dedicated all to themselves will set the bookshelf on fire.
Hooked - Jennifer Bene
Wyatt and Vanessa's story was amazing. No spoilers from me, but one particular scene is going to stay with me for a long time. Again, such sweet chemistry, and Vanessa's lack of self-esteem and Wyatt's need to make her see herself as worthy touched a few nerves. Incredibly written.
Determined - Maren Smith
I think this one was the superstar of the book (just my personal opinion). I've loved Maren's past contributions to the Black Light world, and Adam and Claire's story was phenomenal. Definitely some off the charts chemistry there, and I would get down on my knees and beg the author for another installment from these characters.
Pressure - Measha Stone
Another favorite author in the Black Light world, Measha hasn't disappointed with Pressure. There's some wicked humor at the start of this book, a few...crossed wires, and the story sucks you in.
Savor - Maggie Ryan
I wouldn't turn down a night with Ronan! Some creative genius combined with a yummy Dominant, and Savor is the perfect tasty treat.
Cherished - Sue Lyndon
This one was on a par for superstar of the book along with Determined. I'm not sure if I've read any of the author's previous work, but I will be making a concerted effort to do so after reading the chemistry in this story. I hope this is another one to be expanded further over the season!
Jazzed - Lesley Clark
Lesley Clark is definitely new to me. I loved the mystery around Jazz, and Michael's calm head. Some sweet yet sexy scenes, and I would love to have a follow-up story as to how their relationship progresses if they ever take that step.
Control - Dani Rene
I can totally see this being extended. It has that touch of Dani Darkness that always sets her apart, and I was thrilled to see she was included in this book. Jed and Kaelin were made for each other, and flammable chemistry aside, I think there are some deep roots there to hold them together.

Disclosures: I am not in depth familiar with the Black Light Roulette series. I don't care for celebrity based stories. My review is for the Celebrity Roulette Introduction portion + Measha Stone's story PRESSURE.

Celebrity Roulette Introduction: Didn't care for this part at all. It was well written but I didn't care much for Jax, Chance & Emma BUT as I said, I am not familar with their characters/backstory so that may be a huge reason. However, what truly ICKED me out on this part was Madison. She's presented as brilliant, beautiful (of course), quick thinking, etc, etc & her job is intregal to the success of this West Coast BDSM/bar/club operation. And yet she sounds as if she's still in High School (this is the ICK factor, how young she seems) & ensures she inserts the word LIKE into most of her speech. Really? How mature & professional does that, LIKE sound? Then, Madison has to PUSH (& I mean PUSH) the management/owners into anonymously donating the majority of the proceeds to charity (per management/the owners: We aren't doing this for FREE) & then Jax proudly announces to the Roulette participants the amount of the donation & to what charity it was given. OK. No one with the charity will find out the 'anonymous' donation came from a BDSM club. Aaaand Madison (who isn't in the lifestyle) decides to MC as LIKE, a Domme. LIKE, ok.
And somehow I can't see most celebrities wanting the general public to be made aware of their private sexual proclivities.
I could go on about my disappointment with this part, but LIKE won't.

BUT I liked the plot, Egan & Michele. To me, it seemed as if the story was mostly about Egan (a confident & experienced Dom with sadistic leanings) helping coach & guide Michele towards understanding herself & her needs. Egan was a warm, thoughful & firm Dom & I loved his character. Once I realized Michele's charater was intended to be so indecisive due to the unwarranted PRESSURE she put on herself about everything, I enjoyed how Egan was able to gently (but firmly) guide her chaotic thoughts & focus by giving her a new perspective on how to view herself & others. Overall a story of guidance & growth, enlightenment that was softly & wonderfully heartwarming.

Renee Rose introduces us to Lincoln and Scarlett. Lincoln was Scarlett bodyguard and he protected her until one fateful night, but there is something he still guards, his heart.
What I loved about this story was that Scarlett was older and not a young twenty something and this story perfectly explain the meaning of’ actions speak louder than words”.
Livia Grant - switched
Livia tells the story of Piper and Nolan. They had one amazing explosive night together and then everything changed. Piper is now a Domme and Nolan will submit for a night.
This is a very emotional story, full of discovery, angst, confusion, fear and truth. I really feel for Piper and I can't wait to read more about this couple.

Vanessa and wyatt are being brought to life by Jennifer Bene. Vanessa is used to pain as a ballet dancer, but she craves more.
This is actually a sweet story. I loved everything that Wyatt did to make this night special for Vanessa. There was an instant and intense connection between. They fit so well together. It also made me laugh.

You pull up you spanx and play. What I loved about the story us how recognisable Michelle is and her honest fears about certain plays. Egan made a great Dom in reading Michelle in what she needed.

The intro: The west coast Black Light is going to have a celebrity roulette this Valentines day. Jason, Chase and other DM's discuss how they are putting it all together. Madison will host the event. They are having a celebrity auction. People will bid on their favorite and highest bidder wins. The night comes and everything pretty much goes off without a hitch. The couples get matched up and let the fun begin!
I have only read two of the books so this is my review on them.
Hooked: Jennifer Bene
This is about the pairing of Vanessa, the ballet dancer and Wyatt who won the bid. Vanessa has issues about her self esteem. She not a good enough dancer, her body isn't that great and she feels unattractive. She gets caught up in her head all to often. Enter Wyatt who actually likes her and admires her. He also has is own issues. Wyatt has seen Vanessa at Black Light before but had trouble asking to scene with her. They spin and get "impact play". Wyatt and especially Vanessa was happy for that spin. They had a very satisfying session. Wyatt knew what he was doing whereas others thought her to delicate. He didn't let her down. They spin again and get "anal play". And again Wyatt doesn't let her down again and was very satisfying for both of them. They end up both helping each other through their issues. They end their night at Black Light and take it to Wyatt's place. Loved the story and would like more of their after story, maybe? All in all a great story with two people able to calm themselves with each other.

Yes, these are fictional characters, but even in a relatively short read, I feel desperate to see what happens next.
Hooked by Jennifer Bene - Wyatt and Vanessa are two driven individuals who might just be what each other needs to let loose and just “be.” This author tends to write darker stories but tempered the darkness with an intensity you will feel in your core. I was ready to hit sub-space just reading the story!
Control by Dani Rene - Jed and Karelian definitely skits the darker side of D/s but that is what I’ve come to expect from this author. I found myself actually gasping at times. I felt as if Jed was speaking to me, such is the way the author weaves a tale that grabs you on a visceral level leaving you breathless and wanting more.
This anthology will read like a single author created the story, and I’m always amazed at the seamlessness of the writing. Each author’s style shines through, but doesn’t overpower the underlying thread. Fabulous, sizzling, sensational in all meanings of the word - next year can’t come soon enough. Although I’m a voyeur on the sidelines as each tale unfolds, the talented authors make you feel like a participant. Can’t wait to see where the spin lands next.

I love the Black Light Series and can't wait to read all of them!
1. Guarded by Renee Rose was truly enjoyable because the main character, Scarlett A. isn’t a young girl, she’s all woman! When her ex-guard, Lincoln, bids to be her Dom, all their old feelings from the past surface. These two characters have major chemistry and belong together !
2. Switched by Livia Grant blew my mind. The story of Piper and Nolan, both Doms, kept me wanting more. They had a brief fling years before, but Piper won't let anyone into her heart as much as Nolan tries. So when the Celebrity Roulette comes about, Nolan figures this is his perfect opportunity. But is it? Can he change her mind? I am hoping that there will be a full length story about these two, as I didn't want their story to end!!
3. Determined by Maren Smith is the story of Claire and Adam. Claire has lusted after Adam for so long. She wins the bid to have him as her Dom for the night, but she could never fathom the depths of pleasure he would put her through. Can she handle him?! Read on and find out.

What a great storyline!

I couldn't imagine a pair better suited for each other. Vanessa is a ballerina with exceptional skill. She's also a submissive who has a tendency to downplay herself and her talent. As a matter of fact, she wouldn't have even agreed to sign up for Black Light's Celebrity Roulette if it weren't for the fact she had already had two drinks and her friend Kelsey had more or less railroaded her into it. And then there's Wyatt. A strong sadistic Dom who has really doesn't feel comfortable in crowds and yet he plays at Black Light for the safety and security. Added to the equation is the fact both of them have a tendency to overthink everything. Because Wyatt is obsessed with Vanessa he makes sure to continue to bid high enough to win the auction but can he make her feel the same way? These two were so much fun. The personal lightheartedness between them in conversation and then the intense, spine-tingling moments in the scenes were amazing.
5. PRESSURE by MEASHA STONE
Even though Michele was the author of psychological thrillers, she tended to stay on the outside periphery of things. Of course, she would play at Black Light when the urge hit and it was usually with a man who played 'Daddy' and gave her a light spanking, never venturing outside her comfort zone. Egan was not only the lead singer of a band but a member at Black Light with sadistic tendencies but Michele had been eyeing him for some time. She'd been asked about attending the Celebrity Roulette this year and had filled out the application but hadn't sent it through yet. Depending on how you look at it, thank goodness she has a best friend. This was a terrific story with a happy for now ending.
6. SAVOR by MAGGIE RYAN
Carnegie received the call from Madison stating she hadn't won the bid for Chef Ronan Bellington but she was the runner-up. So, instead of enjoying three hours of pleasure with her dream chef she would play voyeur with the scenes being played out and use those as inspiration for one of her books. Ronan personally couldn't believe he allowed Emma to sweet-talk him into participating in the auction. He felt like a lobster in a lobster tank waiting to see who would buy him! Maggie Ryan has created a wonderful yin and yang between these two and watching Ronan soften and Madison blossom was absolutely the icing on a cake of scenes that kept me titillated.

That's what had her bidding and winning three hours with Trenton at the Black Light's Celebrity Roulette. But would he remember her? This was a fun DD/lg storyline that just left me feeling good.

She had everything she'd wanted since chasing her dream of being a singer but at twenty-six she was bone tired. It seemed like she was NEVER on tour and really had no time for herself, to be able to submit and quiet her mind, or even to relax. That's why her best friend stepped in and volunteered her for Black Light's Celebrity Roulette Auction. Besides, he knew her and her life almost better than she knew herself. Michael was bored with life. He seemed to plan everything down to the minutest detail so things went according to plan. It definitely helped in his alternate psychiatric practice, his finances, his BDSM lifestyle and yet regardless of what he'd accomplished up to this point, he knew something was missing. When his business partner and best friend told Michael he didn't think he'd be able to relax enough to let a roulette wheel and FATE decide how to play, Michael took up the challenge and began researching the website further. He found her. The little pixie he intended to bid on and win. This is the first book by Lesley Clark I've read and I have to say, I'm hoping she does a follow-up. I want to know their story. This was such a great storyline with characters that truly pulled me in and made me vested in the outcome.
9. CONTROL by DANI RENÉ
Kaelin's father is one of LA's best celebrity agents, as a matter of fact, one of his clients is the one and only Jed, lead singer in a band. Not only is he musically talented but he has the looks and physic making him look like the Greek god Zeus and she has had the biggest crush on him since she was sixteen. Unfortunately, every time they came into contact with each other, Jed always growled and snarled while giving her scowls that appear as if he's either angry with her or dislikes her. That hasn't changed her mind about how she feels nor her body's reaction. Even if Kaelin wins the auction to spend three hours with Jed will he accept her as a submissive or will he call a safe word? This was an exciting read. Another I'd love to see what happens to this couple further down the line.
This Black Light Celebrity Roulette certainly has not disappointed in any way. The insecurities and fears are relatable. The BDSM scenes are not only HOT but they kept my heart-rate elevated and my bits excited. The couples were not storybook perfect, instead, they had perfectly flawed personalities that made them appear to be someone I could relate to or be friends with. I can't wait for the next annual Roulette or any of the books in between. I'm shouting this from the rooftop. This is a series not to be missed and this Celebrity Roulette is one that keeps you coming back.

Claire was a woman who spent her entire adult life making important, impactful decisions for a company that rocked the world of architectural design at least per fiscal quarter or she wasn't doing her job. She was known in the business world as the "British Bitch." She'd seen Adam Butler at Black Light on several occasions and had even seen a submissives bottom, red and striped afterward, and often felt envy. That's what she wanted. *sigh* So when she saw on the website that he would be one of the celebrities in the auction, she knew what she had to do. She would FINALLY get her spanking! She was determined. But is it everything she thought it would be? Maren Smith has delivered a scene between Claire and Adam that will absolutely speed up your heart, make your breath catch, and have all your bits tingle right along with theirs. What a great storyline!
4. HOOKED by JENNIFER BENE
I couldn't imagine a pair better suited for each other. Vanessa is a ballerina with exceptional skill. She's also a submissive who has a tendency to downplay herself and her talent. As a matter of fact, she wouldn't have even agreed to sign up for Black Light's Celebrity Roulette if it weren't for the fact she had already had two drinks and her friend Kelsey had more or less railroaded her into it. And then there's Wyatt. A strong sadistic Dom who has really doesn't feel comfortable in crowds and yet he plays at Black Light for the safety and security. Added to the equation is the fact both of them have a tendency to overthink everything. Because Wyatt is obsessed with Vanessa he makes sure to continue to bid high enough to win the auction but can he make her feel the same way? These two were so much fun. The personal lightheartedness between them in conversation and then the intense, spine-tingling moments in the scenes were amazing.
5. PRESSURE by MEASHA STONE
Even though Michele was the author of psychological thrillers, she tended to stay on the outside periphery of things. Of course, she would play at Black Light when the urge hit and it was usually with a man who played 'Daddy' and gave her a light spanking, never venturing outside her comfort zone. Egan was not only the lead singer of a band but a member at Black Light with sadistic tendencies but Michele had been eyeing him for some time. She'd been asked about attending the Celebrity Roulette this year and had filled out the application but hadn't sent it through yet. Depending on how you look at it, thank goodness she has a best friend. This was a terrific story with a happy for now ending.
6. SAVOR by MAGGIE RYAN
Carnegie received the call from Madison stating she hadn't won the bid for Chef Ronan Bellington but she was the runner-up. So, instead of enjoying three hours of pleasure with her dream chef she would play voyeur with the scenes being played out and use those as inspiration for one of her books. Ronan personally couldn't believe he allowed Emma to sweet-talk him into participating in the auction. He felt like a lobster in a lobster tank waiting to see who would buy him! Maggie Ryan has created a wonderful yin and yang between these two and watching Ronan soften and Madison blossom was absolutely the icing on a cake of scenes that kept me titillated.
7. CHERISHED by SUE LYNDON
Serena had met Trenton on a New Years' Eve at a party. The same party she discovered another woman in the arms of her then-boyfriend. She kicked the boyfriend to the curb and Trenton had come out of the shadows where he had witnessed the entire episode. At the stroke of midnight, Serena was wrapped in a hug and kissed on the forehead. That feeling of being cherished by the man she'd had a crush on since she was a teenager never left her. That's what had her bidding and winning three hours with Trenton at the Black Light's Celebrity Roulette. But would he remember her? This was a fun DD/lg storyline that just left me feeling good.
8. JAZZED by LESLEY CLARK
She had everything she'd wanted since chasing her dream of being a singer but at twenty-six she was bone tired. It seemed like she was NEVER on tour and really had no time for herself, to be able to submit and quiet her mind, or even to relax. That's why her best friend stepped in and volunteered her for Black Light's Celebrity Roulette Auction. Besides, he knew her and her life almost better than she knew herself. Michael was bored with life. He seemed to plan everything down to the minutest detail so things went according to plan. It definitely helped in his alternate psychiatric practice, his finances, his BDSM lifestyle and yet regardless of what he'd accomplished up to this point, he knew something was missing. When his business partner and best friend told Michael he didn't think he'd be able to relax enough to let a roulette wheel and FATE decide how to play, Michael took up the challenge and began researching the website further. He found her. The little pixie he intended to bid on and win. This is the first book by Lesley Clark I've read and I have to say, I'm hoping she does a follow-up. I want to know their story. This was such a great storyline with characters that truly pulled me in and made me vested in the outcome.
9. CONTROL by DANI RENÉ
Kaelin's father is one of LA's best celebrity agents, as a matter of fact, one of his clients is the one and only Jed, lead singer in a band. Not only is he musically talented but he has the looks and physic making him look like the Greek god Zeus and she has had the biggest crush on him since she was sixteen. Unfortunately, every time they came into contact with each other, Jed always growled and snarled while giving her scowls that appear as if he's either angry with her or dislikes her. That hasn't changed her mind about how she feels nor her body's reaction. Even if Kaelin wins the auction to spend three hours with Jed will he accept her as a submissive or will he call a safe word? This was an exciting read. Another I'd love to see what happens to this couple further down the line.
This Black Light Celebrity Roulette certainly has not disappointed in any way. The insecurities and fears are relatable. The BDSM scenes are not only HOT but they kept my heart-rate elevated and my bits excited. The couples were not storybook perfect, instead, they had perfectly flawed personalities that made them appear to be someone I could relate to or be friends with. I can't wait for the next annual Roulette or any of the books in between. I'm shouting this from the rooftop. This is a series not to be missed and this Celebrity Roulette is one that keeps you coming back.
