Go beyond the St. Patrick’s Day symbols of shamrocks and leprechauns and hear the story of a man determined to share the message of salvation with the people who had made him a slave.
I like this series. Sometimes the stories don't flow as smoothly as they could, but the illustrations are bright and engaging, the stories simple, but meaningful. They don't shy away from the biblical violence in the stories (which can be unsettling to a young audience) but it's handled tastefully. All these books initiate good talking points about ancient heroes and modern day lessons.
A wonderful and engaging picture book about St. Patrick & his life. A great book for Preschool/ Elementary to learn about reason we celebrate St. Patrick's Day & encourage all readers (including this mama) to listen for God's voice and follow his leadings!
An excellent book for children (and adults) explaining the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. It fairly divides the myth and legends from the known history and it ties the situation of Patrick to events of modern slavery.
