Wicked Knights #0.5

Oh, Holy Knight

Rate this book
Erie isn’t having a great week. Her time of freedom is up, and the Templar Knight who comes to claim her is an overgrown, broody, alpha a-hole who kisses like sin, and is determined to have her. What’s a girl to do other than teach him that she cannot be owned by him or his kind?

Callaghan will stop at nothing to save his race. Bound by the Templar Code, he has stood as protector of humanity; a witness to the countless wars that forged the world. Too much depends on his ability to catch one female, and create a life before time runs out. If the hour glass finishes before he succeeds, both races will fall to the curse placed on them by ancient witches have been awakened from the eternal slumber.

With two races hanging in the balance, he’s going to have to get creative to trap the little she-wolf who seems to be as elusive and untamed as her name claims her to be.

This is the start of a series that was previously published as part of the Such Violent Delights anthology. The full novel will be released this summer 2019

Hell yes!!!!
This novella is a gem...
it shows the true power of words and imagery of the talented Amelia Hutchins I have come to love and cherish in her FAE series...GOSH!!!

I've read this story first as a part of a Such Violent Delights Anthology , just around Christmas time 2018 and I loved it then, I re-read it now and fuck...this is it

a fab insight of what the Wicked Knights series would be like...cause damn...

Callaghan, my man...I'm onto you
and i hope Erie will kick your ass LOL after she delivers the true pleasure you've never tasted until her...*insert wicked grin*

yeah, these two could just become my next fave couple, after Syn and Ryder

“It’s easy to judge a book by a cover, but what lies beneath the cover isn’t always as pretty.”

I love a badass woman, who has her own mind and fights her own battles, Eerie a druid is one hell of a badass 🙌🏻😉. Knowing Amelia I'm in for another ride that will end up with me hating then adoring Eerie..(I really love her name🥰)
Reading Oh, Holy Knight leads me to more anticipation of what's to come next to Faery and more ...
So excited, can't wait to read more 😊

This was a bad, poorly written story. A repetitive plot, unimaginative dialogs, and bland characters. Just sad.
Absolutely not relevant for The Fae Chronicles storyline and should be skipped, in my opinion.

This was good and I really liked both Erie and Callaghan. It has also made clear that I'm going to have to go back and start with The Fae Chronicles and re-read/finish that and then the other connected series. Because 1) I forgot how much I liked Amelia Hutchins books and 2) there was a lot of small crossover appearances and I have no clue what the fuck is going on. So I will definitely be revisiting this series, but next time in order.

I am not entirely sure how I should rate this one. Because I wasn't expecting a novella that led into a bigger story line. But I guess this was necessary as we don't know dick all about Callaghan and we definitely don't know Erie. But this was a good look into what will happen in their book that I'm sure I'll have to read at some point while reading through the Fae Chronicles Universe books. I wasn't excited to read this one because I don't know the characters. But this novella has made me interested to see what happens in Callaghan and Erie's full book. :)

This is a novella serving the Fae world chronicles and introduces the characters Erie and Callaghan. This is the beginning of a larger story which will be continued in a complete novel and focuses on Palladins and Druids. It's enemies to lovers and definitely managed to capture my attention leaving me wanting more.

It's well written and I'm incredibly intrigued to discover the larger picture. It contained some familiar faces which is always a bonus and I'm looking forward to learning more. Be aware it's short and very much a teaser to the main event.

Hmm.. okay. Oh, Holy Knight was a easy novella to zoom through. In it, you will meet Erie and Callaghan. Honestly, I didn't really like either of them. Which is weird because in the beginning, I thought I was going to like Erie. She sort of seemed like a mini bad ass who wouldn't necessarily give in to piece of dick.. but I was wrong.

I did, however, laugh my ass off when she said "You're breaking my vagina" because no honey - he wasn't.

Other than that, this was very insta-y with not really likable characters. Maybe in their actual book my opinions on them will change.. but I'm not making any promises here. Just glad that this book was less than 100 pages and secretly hoping that the rest of the books in this universe are as well.

I don’t really have a review of this book. It was super short and I didn’t like Erie at all. Callaghan was interesting and I’m looking forward to seeing what role they’ll continue to have in the series but there wasn’t much to grasp onto in this book.

I have to admit I love the way Amelia Hutchins writes. Her stories are full on adventure, sin, and sexiness. You get dragged in from the first page, right to the nail biting end. This book ends with a cliffhanger, so be warned.

This was only 90 pages long and I struggled to finish it. I don't even have the energy to seek answers to questions about this universe that really beg to be asked: are these crusader princes immortal? Just popping in now and again to massacre people in Constantinople every 100 years? Is Richard the Lionheart one of them? What did they do before 1095? And are these horrific misogynist a-holes supposed to be....sexy? oh my god this is my personal hell

Note: This is the 0.5 book in the Wicked Knights series and 10th overall book within the Fae Chronicles universe. This book should be read after Claiming the Dragon King (Elite Guards #2)

This little novella lays the foundation for Erie and Callaghan’s later, full length tale in If She’s Wicked (Wicked Knights #1).

Erie is the only female Druid in history and was created of dark magic. Her birth was necessary as the cure to the curse poisoning both the Templar Knights and Druid races. The prophecy states that only the child born of Erie and a Knight will have the power to save them all.

Basically, Erie is a baby maker, and that makes her mad as hell.

Callaghan is the Knight who is constantly pursuing Erie. He also stars in her nighttime fantasies, but then that’s none of his business.

Callaghan has decided Erie is his, and we find out the complete story later in their full length novel. But until he claims her and keeps her safe, she is fair game for any and all Knights to capture her and pretty much gang rape her until she takes with pregnancy.

Erie and Callaghan are two of my favorite characters, and this is just a glimpse of what you’ll get with their novel. And thankfully, their story will continue in an upcoming novel because it’s not nearly over.

This was a quickie start for Erie & Callaghan's story. I knew going in it was going to be a short one and it did set the setting for thier story. As with Ms. Hutchins other Heros, her characters sometimes take some time to warm up to. Callaghan....hmmm....not sure about him. This novella did not make him look good....but....time will tell if he will change.

As with the rest of the series, it's best to read her series in order as the story lines do overlap a bit and you learn more about the Druid's and Paladin's in the previous books. Definitely will be moving on the to next in the series.

I know you may be thinking should I read this? Its a short story and you may not be a fan - but yes you should totally read it. It is extremely fast paced given the number of pages but you can tell this is going to be the start of an amazing series. Erie is totally insane, she doesn't give a toss what others think of her and she has been thrown into the deep end drew the short straw with what fate has in store for her but she is badass as does not take it lying down. If you like very strong heriones and total douche alphaholes - read this because when the full story comes out it is going to blow us away.

That was a nice prelude and I wish it was longer!

Erie and Callaghan make for an interesting dynamic but it’s starting to get a little repetitive with the plot and dialogues, it still manages to hold my interest thou not so much as the others.
Here’s to hoping that Amelia starts to mix things a little bit more and give us more range when it comes to her characters so we don’t fall in the same repetitive patterns.

I actually love the Novella. It gives a backstory as to why Erie is as angry as she is. I honestly hope we get more from Callaghan because I think he is the cats meow.

Erie the queen of wards with serious anger management issues.

Callaghan the Holy Knight that loves her and chases her even though she has so serious anger issues.. like level 20 on a scale of 1 thru 10. He still wants her crazy..

I want to read their HEA.

Quick and fast paced read. It'll take you on crazy, fast ride. Erie isn't one to take any crap and Callaghan goes after what he wants. This sets the story for these two and you know that from this short read that there's so much more of them to come. I look forward to reading their full story.

This story was originally the first thing I had read by Amelia Hutchins when in was releases in the Such Violent Delights Anthology and I was hooked on her words. So I had to go and read all her books, starting from the beginning with the first 4 books in the Fae Chronicle series with Ryder and Synthia all the way down to this story and then continued on to Becoming his Monster Lucian and Lena’s Story. Callaghan and Erie’s story is an addiction I’m not ready to go cold turkey from lol. Erie is one kick arse chick and I can not wait to see what she puts Callaghan through in the full length.

Erie is the only female Druid ever to be born, and the Paladin’s need her to be able to continue on their species.

“You are aware of the prophecy in which you were created for.” He stepped closer, invading my personal space. “Your time is near. You will be mine whether you like it or not. It’s time we do our parts to protect our people.” He continued talking as he backed me up until I was pressed against a brick wall. “Them or me, Erie,” he growled huskily. “If you’re mine, they’ll never dare to touch you. I will lead them one day; they respect me. You’re running out of time, and they are running out of patience.” This paragraph says it all, What Erie is having to deal with just because she is the only born female Druid.

You will love and hate Callaghan all at the same time, there will be laughing out loud moments between Erie and Callaghan, then screaming at them.

Erie is one of a kind. Literally. Born of two races and raised to simply be bred repeatedly in order to save one of those races, she's a wanted woman. The Templar Knights are looking for her, as the only female who can bear their children. But there is one that wants her all to himself. Callaghan and Erie have a love/hate relationship, in that he tries to seduce her every time they meet, and she kills him. Every time they meet. But can she trust him to help her when it's clear that it's either be with him or with the rest of them? She is all alone in the world, except her friend Fred, who is only her friend because he can't get away from her. Can she survive and hide to keep from having to populate an entire race of Knights?

I first started reading Amelia Hutchins books back in 2014. The last book that I read of hers was Escaping Destiny and I think the only reason I stopped was I had been waiting for the 4th book to come out and somehow, I haven’t gone back. When I saw that Oh Holy Knight was being promoted I bought it, read it and I may be addicted again to reading her books again.

Oh, Holy Knight is an introduction into the Wicked Knights series. It looks like the full book will be out in the summer

Erie is half Paladin and half druid. She is the only female druid ever born. Templar Knight Callaghan has come looking for Erie and she says that she serves “no man”. She has had freedom until now. She has run out of time. Callaghan has been offering her protection and now he is ready for a child. She tells him that she refuses to be an incubator.

Amelia Hutchins books keep you glued to your seat, on the edge and biting your nails wanting and waiting for the next book so you can read what happens next. I am looking forward to catching up on her books.

This novella was a great introduction to the wicked knights series. Erie is such a spitfire. As always Amelia has created a female lead that can kick ass and empower women all while keeping the alpha male asshats on their toes! Talking of asshats
I wanted to murder Callaghan at one point, the text was so emotionally and thought provoking that I was literally shouting at my kindle.

Amelia you've done it again, you created a world I love to dive into, characters I want to love and kill and a new type of supernatural I can't wait to discover more about.

This book is provocative and has an adult content that some may not like but I really advice giving this book a go.

Normally I like AM's a**hole heros and kick a** heriones, but I found I didn't really care for these two. I don't know if it was my mood, the fact that the story was short, or what but I didn't really like Callaghan or Erie. Although I liked Erie more than Callaghan (what a jerk). I don't know if I will read their story or not. I will have to think about it.

This novella introduces us to our heroine Erie and our "hero" Callaghan. Like usual (this isn't to be mistaken for predictable or boring) Hutchins has created yet another hardcore, takes no Sh** heroine. Erie has had a crappy childhood....if it was even a childhood and is the last of her kind and her "womb" (which is referenced a lot lol) may be the only way to continue 2 races. which puts Erie in somewhat of a predicament since she really doesn't have a choice according to some . I can't get a good read on Callaghan yet, of course he isn't a prince charming, but I feel like behind his trickery and callous demeanor maybe he had good intentions all along? The book leaves as a bit of a cliffhanger so you have to keep reading to see how it all unfolds. The world Hutchins creates is really magical. It has it all, lust, steam, action, conflict and great characters. what more could you ask for?

Loved it

What a great introduction to the upcoming book of these two. I loved the bickering between the two.

I actually had to backtrack to unraveling destiny just to make sure that I was right that it was indeed Callaghan that was introduced. So much has happened between then and now.

Again, another book that made me giggle a little. I might be in love with Ristan. I love that he keeps popping up along the series. He is just so d@mn funny and kinky.

I couldn’t help but imagine Erie looking a bit like the girl from the movie Brave. For a minute I did believe while reading that she could be ugly but every girl thinks that of themselves. So really, she’s beautiful and Callaghan wants her. Like bad.

Callaghan seemed so simple at first when mentioned previously but in this book his true kinky side came out. He truly is an alpha-hole.

I look forward to read the next book of these two when I get to it. Great job!

Short story alert!

This is a snippet of Erie, who is both a Druid and Paladin, and Callaghan, a Royal Paladin Knight and Princeling. She fights the brainwash mentality of being the only female Druid to carry on the Paladin line since all Paladin are male and rarely are there any female Druids. A curse the witches gave the Paladins for interfering when they shouldn’t. So forced to be something she abhors, Erie battles her way from what fate demands of her. Such a good story. I fell in love with Erie and her feisty spunky behavior. We learn several bits about Erie.
I don’t know what magic Amelia Hutchins casts to bring these characters to life that allows us to become involve and cheering for them. I fall in love with her characters and I feel whenever this series officially ends it will be bittersweet as these characters become our friends.
